See them. Enemies of the "Zoo". If they live for 200 years they will spend every day of that demarketing Nigeria and their fellow Nigerians.

Nigeria does something she is commended for yet, guess those mocking her. Not our external enemies. Not Ghanaians nor South Africans.

It is our enemies-within who will never have the maturity or desire to love the "Zoo" nor give her credit where due simply because who/what they are not allowed to dominate they must hate for life.

But do you know that Sanwo Olu when he was campaigning for governor of Lagos said igboa deserve to hold political posts in Lagos. You didn't attack him then ooooo and it was not gaslighting oooo
Sanwo Olu can say anything for votes. He is a politician and that is what they all do very well and by default I.e say anything to gain electoral support.

Yorubas today generally do not want Igbos gaining political positions in Lagos because they have shown their malevolent covetous, usurping and expansionist hands fully.

The little they have achieved they never fail to present as if such is done as part of a deliberste attempt at a hostile takeover of Lagos with an agenda of subjugating and "dominating" others "in their own lands".

The quoted above is their words majority of them use, even on NL, that their forefathers many decades ago, including Azikiwe and Charles Onyeama, were fond of throwing around casually and arrogantly.

They alone, of over 200 ethnic groups in Lagos, behave like this. Yorubas don fully 'ronu' and have finally seen Igbos for what they are.

Did your people allow her become Senator in Imo?
Abi OO. Why does Bianca Ojujwu low key resent Igbo men if not for their discriminatory and backwards antics? They told her she could not contest for political office in Anambra because she is not from the State.

Imagine that. Like most have now observed, Igbos are a people who have made an art of gaslighting others by making demands they are the the least interested in granting others in their land.

Today SE is the most Mono-ethnic region of Nigeria because, obviously and naturally, people avoid unwelcoming places where they do not feel conditions exist to allow them thrive.

Rather than try to remedy this undesirable character they are known for, their obsession remains keeping Igboland for Igbos alone, top to bottom, while seeking greater penetration and power in the land of others.

Precisely. Look at the thread title that shows entitlement mentality of these people through Ohanaeze's incendiary announcement:

Re: Ohaneze: Igbos Deserve To Hold Political Offices In Lagos
Now remove Ohanaeze from above and replace with Arewa or the ethno-cultural organisation most ethnic groups have.

Then replace Igbo with the names of those ethnic groups their ethno-cultural organisation are insisting "deserves" office in Lagos.

Imagine the madness? This is why Senator Gbenga Daniel expressed fear that 50% of Nigerians will be living in the SW by 2050.

Clearly he has seen the danger to the SW of all Nigerians, rather than challenging misrule, fleeing their regions for Yorubaland that, along with the SS, is one region of Nigeria working fairly well.

Clearly, if this pattern continues then all non-Yoruba ethnicities, with no intention of ever returning to their region of origin, will soon begin demanding political office from Yorubas in all SW States.

OP, how far?

Lagos local Government election now concluded. Where is your Chioma Nzefili who is the "beautiful and intelligent lawyer and one of those controlling Lagos NBA"?

Fellow formers, help me inspect the lmage below. Result of yesterday's election for Oto Awori where we expected, according to OP, for one Chioma Nzefilli, who is "Lagos NBA controller", to win 100% of the vote.

Unless my vision is failing, it would appear she did not even contest, as I insisted she was a fictitious inclusion by OP all along, let alone stand a chance of winning.

These people are jokers. Crystal clear Yorubas don't make noise like them. We just win silently and continously while they remain obsessed with using anything, including lies, to decieve the world they are better than the Yorubas and "dominating" them.

Megalomania, jam delusions of grandeur come collide with empty and childish chest-beating.

Congratulations to Prince Ashafa Musibau Adekunle for emerging as Chairmanship winner Oto Awori LCDA.

Politics › Re: Akpabio To Adc Coalition: You Won’t Sack Tinubu Like You Removed Jonathan—we’re by WizardOfNG:
ysth:
wasn't it same Tinubu that removed Jonathan? Kai Nigeria's are too feeble and forgetful
You people have twisted recollection of history because you are biased, hateful of others, unobjective and unprincipled.

2007 was clearly the turn of the North , per the gentleman's agreement of political leaders to rotate power between North and sought, after OBJ became President in 1999.

Nigeria had only come out of fractious military rule , after decades of it, to set up a new democracy in 1999 many hoped would endure. It was very important for leaders to respect the rotation agreement for peace to reign and end the cycle of military rule, via coup takeover, forever.

OBJ completed 8 years on behalf of the South and even sought a third term that was defeated because of that same rotation principle many had sworn to defend, for the greater good, and not let any individual's personal ambition hijack to the endangerment of Nigerias peace and security.

2007, Yar Adua, a Northerner, became President in compliance with the power rotation agreement. He became gravely ill and died 2010. His VP, a Southerner, GEJ was sworn in as substantive President.

The North initially , through the Turai Yar Adua cabal, never wanted to relinquish power. Tinubu was one of the leaders in the South who insisted GEJ must be sworn in substantive President without delay.

Eventually local and internal pressure meant the Yar Adua cabal had to relinquish power to allow GEJ become substantive President.

At the next election cycle in 2011, the North felt GEJ should not contest, many Southerners, including Tinubu, tacitly backed Jonathan to contest to remain President beyond the 1 year he had spent in office.

The thinking was that providence had put GEJ in office, and not any treacherous act to cheat the North of power, so it is right to allow him contest with the acceptance that his unique position was an act of God no one could predict.

Jonathan won the 2011 election and gained 4 more years in office. During his tenure, the power-hungry North became restive. They did everything, include internal sabotage and deployment of terrorism, to ensure GEJ would be a lame Duck President come 2015.

Tinubu and many Southern Nigerian leaders, reading the mood in the room, decided to pragmatically support what is in the best interest of the peace and unity of Nigeria to forestall return to military rule, more terrorism chaos and insecurity.

They reasoned that GEJ had already used five years of the slot of the North and deemed it fitting , for the greater good, to assist North regain power from Jonathan who was seeing his own personal ambition alone without caring how Nigeria was imploding under him because of action Northerners were taking openly to dislodge the "dishonorable usurper" they felt was trying to stay beyond the five years period of grace (approaching two presidential terms) others had accorded him.

GEJ had to go. It was the right decision, in my opinion, for Southern leaders to put the best interest of Nigeria above GEJ's personal agenda.

Folowers like you may not understand the above but leaders do what must be done for the greater goods whereas you have the pleasure of making sentimental decisions in your life daily as it is mainly you an a few others alone who will be affected negatively and not 230 million people.

Fast forward 2023. Buhari had finished 8 years in power on behalf of the North that Tinubu and many Southern leaders facilitated.

Buhari's Presidency was far from the best and downright horrid in his second term.Yet Tinubu and the South did not come for him. They honorably allowed him complete his second term in hope that the principle of "one good turn deserves another" would mean the North would honourably reciprocate.

Atiku, dishonorably going against the rotation principle, contested to be President in 2023 and lost. Tinubu then became President. Only two year into his Presidency, the North are plotting to oust him and put Atiku in Aso Rock.

This accurate reminder of history is necessary to show two things.

(1) Pragmatically intelligent and critical thinking Southerners, to include even Ijaws who are GEJ's direct kinsmen, do not feel Tinubu betrayed GEJ and the South in 2015.

They know he spoke up for GEJ to be sworn in as substantive President in 2010 and tacitly supported his 2011 win to gain four more years in office, by not offering any grassroot mobilisation, funding or logistic support to his own ACN 2011 candidate in Nuhu Ribadu as he did for Buhari in 2015 leading to Buhari winning 5 out of six SW States in the election when he had never won a single SW state in three previous attempts to be President.

(2) Southerner leaders, Akpabio and many others from the SS like Eno etal, who realise the above today, because they are mature and prahmatic unlike you and others, are the very people now against the North's dishonourable effort to push Tinubu out of power.

They know Tinubu did what was Pragmatically best for Nigeria due to how GEJ had emerged and because the North was spiralling out of control crazily without power the region is intoxicated with and would surely ramp up insecurity another notch if GEJ stayed a day beyond 5 years in office in what the North believe is their usurped slot.

Contrast the situation of GEJ with what obtains today when Tinubu has not died nor gravely ill yet some Northerners wish to replace him after only one term
by fire by force, when it is never the turn of the North, while misguided southerners like you support them myopically without seeing the big picture.

Do you people ever sit to think properly and then note we would not be having this 'impasse' issue today, whereby Southern leaders like Akpabio etal are amassing behind Tinubu, if the North honorably declare that "Tinubu is not performing so we unanimously support this Southerner to depose him in 2027"?

No. Instead they blackmail others, even though their brother Buhari left Nigeria in a mess that cannot be cleaned up in even 20 years, that Tinubu is worst President ever and they alone, not another fellow Southerner to Tinubu, must return to power.

What is obvious, tying all the above together, is that Southern leaders know precisely the game the North is playing in the attempt to grab power dishonarably and desperately from a Southern President who is giving them more money and support to work with than ever before.

In contrast, some Southern followers, like you, remain self-destructively focused on committinf political suicide because of ignorance, sentiments and bigoted hatred against others.

This is why I will always insist most Nigerians leaders, like Akpabio, deserve to be leaders, even if ordinary Nigerians curse them all day long, because they are the better version of those following them in a nation where leaders and followers are highly warped in comparison to others worldwide.

God bless you for this post. May your days be long and filled with success plus ample happiness. The bolded especially are the truth,

They collude today with the supremacist and hegemonistic feudalists from the North today, yet when has anyone ever seen them step up when Nigeria is seriously troubled.

Be it under the brutal dictatorship of Abacha or when the Northern supremacist refused to hand over power to GEJ and when the Ogoni were unjustly sentenced to death after a sham trial the Universe condemned etc, etc they were always missing or silent.

If involved it will be to play ignoble roles by working for Abacha's and deadly plans to retain Power. They have always ever been motivated by profit they can gain from every situation. If non, they are silent or missing.

Were are their historical Fela, Gani Fawehinmi, Taiwan Solarin etc, etc?

The Yorubas have seen the future to know, with the Turai Yar Adua hijack of power as an example, along with many others, that the North is detrimentally addicted to power they cannot use well.

They will only always deploy power regressively, as we saw Buhari do recently, because the way the North wishes to live means no Northern leaders can move at a progressives pace that would benefit all Nigeria yet all Northern leaders ,religious, cultural and political, will condemn as "against Arewa interest",

Yorubas know we must willingly and honourably share power with them for the sake of peace but they do not believe that and only ever share power with the South grudgingly to then try to sabotage the turn of the South with terrorism along with banditry and kidnapping joining such later.

Under Tinubu like two or new terror group has sprung up as their desperation to oust the most progressive and independent-minded Southern president grows aided by the predictable support they know they will always gain from the hateful and vindictive SE.

Escaping the vicious cycle of stagnation and self-destruction the North will try their best to ensure is forever our collective fate with their desperate search for power to perpetuate 'One Nigeria', is the Mission of the Yorubas we will achieve. It is a only question of time before we do.

Ultimately, no one can see the future but you are 100% right abou two things.

(1)The SW has done spectacularly well in opposition or when they have led themselves. Lagos, for example, did very well under PBAT and Tinubu in the many years PDP led. The SW too was exemplarily far ahead under Awolowo's Premiership of the region.

(2) No one can harm the SW blessed by all the forces of goodness on land, Sea and above. The SW is too blessed, especially with one of the richest human resources in Africa, for anyone to suppress forever with political games and shenanigans.

We will achieve what is shown below. Local Government autonomy is already achieved, with elections in LGA across Lagos today, and the rest will follow.

The desperation of the North and their newest bride (we all know who they are) ,manifesting as a desperate tcurrent obsession with gaining power by amy means possible, is nothing but the futile efforts of a drowning man clutching at straws.

This is because both strange bedfellows, in their unholy alliance to grab, do not truly understand the Yorubas do not want power desperately as they do.

They cannot see or pretend not to see, even as it is vwry obvious, what Yorubas want which is very different to what they want.

[/b]It is not about power for the Yorubas but the liberation that it can be used for independent socio-economic development of every region of our nation.

Even as we know that isnNorth tr desire of the Hegemonist Pharoahs who do not wish to let the people go and the covetous expansionist whose land and market are not enough for then and must constantly long for takeover of those belonging to others

They will both fail ultimately and Nigeria will see the SW prove right everything I have I have said here opinion in the next 10 to 20 years. The Yorubas are not returning to Egypt under any President or circumstance. [/b]

Lol. They see through Obi. Northerners align with the wishes of their leaders almost religiously but that does not mean they are dumb.

They can never forget the Igbo coup and how their leaders were butchered with Igbos singing jubilation songs.

They also know Yorubas do not have a history of such Machiavellian readiness to brutally 'cull' other ethnic group, Rwanda-style, because of lust to gain power and asset others possess.

It is even Northerners who mainly tag Yorubas "progressive" and "sophisticated" because they understand what the Yorubas are about to appreciate they must only fear Yorubas politically for their progressive zeal.

We are not genocidal like both ethnic groups and that is where the tag of cowardice comes from in a nation where being sane, diplomatic and respectful of the sanctity of human life is "cowardice" whereas others murder and kill fellow human being as if squashing cockroaches. As we see happening in the North and SE today.

Awolowo and Abiola, for example, scared them politically while Azikiwe, Kaduna Nzeogwu Ironsi, Ojukwu and even Nnamdi Kanu today inflicted permanent scars on Northerners that makes them fear for their life when they think of Igbo having leaderships upperhand over them.

To the extent that, regardless of any alliance, North will always have one eye open dealing with Igbos they know can embrace an agenda of murderously wiping out others to gain advantages.

This is an uneasy alliance of two traditional enemies in a dubious truce. The cleric know this and knows they can never trust Igbos as "history does not lie".
Politics › Re: Islamic Cleric Offers Strange Prayers In The Presence Of Peter Obi by WizardOfNG:
The cleric clearly does not trust Obi and Igbos. Both ethnic group are the biggest problems of Nigeria and their bloodletting attacks against each other, that other ethnic groups have scarcely engaged in, set up Nigeria to be the near-failed nation she became by 2023 when PBAT took over.

The "Igbo" coup and Northern counter-coup reprisals created a devastating precedence of military rule that effectively consigned up to 3 decades of Nigeria into the dustin of history as total waste.

The Igbos truncated regional government and the North, most reliant on others in Nigeria, saw the perfect opportunity to move into an age of rulership by the gun to command thе assets and direction of Nigeria.

Why then will these two, murderously hateful of each other historically, ever trust themselves?

This is simply an alliance of selfish ambitions. They are using each other in attempts to grab ultimate executive power.

The cleric knows it hence let's Obi know he is cursing him to die if this is another Machiavellian effort of Igbo to grab power for purpose of subjugating and dominating others the lot from the SE have always been known for.

Okay, I'm a Limpopian and what I can tell you is that cemeteries in Limpopo villages hold strong cultural significance and not everyone can be buried there, we get buried based on our clans... Each cemetery has got its own clans and you'd not be allowed to be buried there if you're considered an outsider.

A few years back, some Pakistanis were also denied access from one cemetery in this other village in Limpopo... They then approached the traditional rulers of the area seeking a portion of land to create their own cemetery, but they were still denied.

So if you're a foreign national and you're planning to die in SA, don't even think of being buried in a Limpopian village or even township, you'll be chased away... grin grin grin... And as an African, tradition also requires that you be buried in your homeland, especially if you're a man... So why can't he be taken to Nigeria for burial?🤔🤔🤔
Yes this is a reasonable explanation but I have taken this into consideration mentioning in an earlier post that this uproar against this man's burial would be justified if legal, religious or cultural restrictions applied.

Yet look at the response of your fellow SAs here, like RandDigital, who began talking about the criminal reputation of Nigerians as justification for this development?

Go and look at the twitter comments as well, to the video of the man's hearse being repelled, to note your explanation did not feature in most response.

Rather it is "go and bury him in Abuja" and "it is an abomination". Claiming it is an "abomination" a Nigerian be buried in South Africa is acceptable to Nigerians how?

I appreciate your explanation but I believe the wider issue revealed is the unreasonable hatred most south Africans host for Nigerians that has compromised all levels of your thinking.

Most law-abiding Nigerians are ashamed of the Nigerians commiting crime in your nation and we advocate you deal with them to the full extent of you laws. That does not mean you take a "lynch all Nigerians" mentality over every issue concerning Nigerians in your nation.

This bereaved woman's request concerns crime how? It is final burial rites she wants to observed for her beloved. A private issue in virtually all nations of the world to include Nigeria.

Why then did most South Africans commenting online, and even her on Nairaland, made it about "Nigerian criminals must be buried in Abuja"?

Wonderful message some of us have reiterated to Nigerians countless times. If these Northern supremacists and born-to-rule win then they are effectively now saying Nigeria is and will always be in their hands to keep underdeveloped, unprogressive and incapable of keeping pace with other nations in Africa let alone the world.

These Northern supremacists angling for power dishonorably, going by what they have made of their own region and peoples, will ensure that Nigeria, in comparison to other nations, remain same as the North that is horrendously backwards in comparison to other regions of Nigeria.

Very important to note the North is precisely the way it is courtesy of these same desperate and openly hegemonistic Northerners claiming they have the capacity to rescue Nigeria yet we see how they have destroyed "rescued" the North.

So many names come to mind but let me drop some randomly in Hadi Sirika, Babachir Lawal and Malami. What did those men do in political/administrative office to make anyone believe they can "rescue" Nigeria as ADC members?

The reason South must have her 8 years, and as the video reveals, is that the North has always feared southern leaders they believe will bring progress to Nigeria by curbing the regressive and socio-economically destructive acts they revel in which damages Nigeria for millions yet massively enriches a few hideously.

If all Southerner are smart and progressive they will have noted Nigeria can never develop optimally under a Northerner. Impossible and no proof needed more than the reality of what Northern leaders have made of Northern people, States and regions.

With that in mind, pragmatic and critical thinking should then tells us the 8 year rule between South and North should be respected fastidiously so that North has her regressive 8 years in power but the South too must get an uninterrupted 8 years to counteract the rule of the North with progressive reforms.

What this does, even with the regressive damage Northerners do when in charge of Nigeria, is give the South it's own 8 years to keep plugging away with progressive leadership till we reach a point the North, whether President for life, will no longer be able to hold any Nigerian Individual, State or region back from becoming what their god-given potentials indicate they should be.

If Southerners allow North truncate this 8 year power rotation deal, meaning the North can remain in power perpetually, then we have again, by our own hands and because of primordial sentiments, trapped ourselves in the same cycle of underdevelopment, squalor and poverty we have been unable to escape since independence despite our huge human, material and geographical endowment.

We would again have snapped defeat from the jaws of victory as we have done with the inability of Awolowo and Abiola etal, directly facilited by the machinations of the hegemonistic North, to get to a position of executive authority over Nigeria.

cheesy Things fall apart. The center can no more holds together again. The central APC government is not holding forth any more. They come one way, they are now fleeing in 7 ways. Is God not wonderful?
Shetimma is still performing his VP functions daily so what exactly are people like you responding to? Petty gossip as market women engage in?
Politics › Re: VP Kashim Shettima Told To Resign by WizardOfNG: 3:56am On Jul 11, 2025
This "top chieftain" of the APC has just shown he is not fit to be a political leader. He is petty for publicly responding to cho cho cho unverified gossip to the extent of asking the VP to resign over what could be nothing at all.

There is no official confirmation of a rift between the President and his VP. Factually, he is "sidelined" only in the imagination of mischief-makers. In fact Shetimma still hosted the VP of Brazil recently.

While ordinary Nigerians can gossip publicly, political leaders must not. Doing such is irresponsible of them.

Remind us again how Nigerians got a horrible reputation in SA, like they're getting now in India and UAE.
Do you have any sense at all? All that should be put aside after the demise of an individual by anyone who has a shred of humanity in them.

Even executed criminals have their dead bodies released to their family for burial because death is the end and human empathy must be shown for loved ones of the deceased.

Yet you people carry hate and vindictiveness beyond that point without realising how your actions indicate you have lost your humanity and no better than wild animals.

After decades of drugs and yahoo, this is the result. India is next. Proof is on the NL front page everyday.
What does what you think of Nigerians have to do with the rights of a woman to Bury her loved one where he has died?

Every Nigerian that dies in South Africa, even if married to a South African, must be taken outside South Africa for burial?

You people have lost your humanity totally because of hatred for others.

You people even have a name for stigmatising South African women who date or marry Nigerians? I.e "Jollofina".Disgusting .

No respect at all for the right of the Lady or compassion for her loss.

South Africans are neanderthal savages and it is crystal clear why they have alway resorted to violent xenophobic attacks against foreigners.

but developed nations of the world have accountability , as a priority by the political office holders, unlike Nigeria .

in Nigeria, no amount is too huge for these corrupt entities to embezzle, so they only tax the masses to fund their luxurious lifestyle, while Nigerians remain the same suffering masses, benefiting nothing from the system .
I agree with the bolded. It is certainly a considerable challenge. I.e corruption of leaders entrusted with the commonwealth of the people.

Yet that does not mean we do not make tax collection as efficient as possible. What needs to improve is the ability of Nigerians to hold leaders accountable from local to State and federal Government level.

Doing that better is crucial since they will all be recieving federal allocation for use administering their tier of Governance.

@OP

Can't lie about being a fan of Soludo but not holding brief for him here when I say the 100 billion you state was spent seems justified costwise. What Soludo built is not just a Governor's lodge as seen in most States. It is a specialised small town of Governance with even a high-rise administration building.

Considerable amount was even spent on Gully erosion repairon the site of the project before construction could commence.

No Governor is entirely above reproach in Nigeria, as that is not possible, but I think Soludo is doing commendably well leading a challenging State.

https://www.thecable.ng/on-5-mega-projects-executed-by-soludo-without-borrowing-a-penny/

On 5 mega projects executed by Soludo without borrowing a penny.

Second on the list is the new Anambra Government House and Lodge Project. Anambra State has been using a makeshift government house since its creation in 1991.

Many civil servants in the current government house do not have decent offices and this impacts on their productivity. In fact, Anambra is about the only state in Nigeria where the governor’s official residence – which is also a makeshift – is not exactly in the state capital.

The current Government House is in Awka and the governor’s residence is in Amawbia. But today, Anambra’s new Government House, which is being constructed by Governor Soludo is over 80% complete.

Anambra’s new Government House is on 23 hectares of land with over 2km length of fencing. The internal road network comprises of a total of 3.2km of dual carriageways.

It has a befitting high-rise secretariat building, warehouse, government house building, governor’s lodge building, clinic, fire station, fuel dump, industrial kitchen, deputy governor’s office, sports complex, amphitheater, computer server building, banquet hall and residential apartments where civil/public servants will reside.

The quality of buildings in this complex stands out. It has well planned lawns, parking spaces and high-speed fibre optic infrastructure crisscrossing the 23 hectares facility.

One interesting story about this project is that the current premises of this project was almost washed out by gully erosion and, thus, the Soludo-led administration spent billions of naira in erosion repair and control works before the commencement of this project.

When this project is completed later in the year, it is likely going to be the greenest government house in the country as it has thousands of economic and ornamental trees in its gardens and perimeter. One environmentalist even remarked that the 23-hectare facility will be carbon neutral.

Why is Peter Obi attacking Gov Soludo?. why is he being an irredeemable ethnic jingoist?. While we are still condemning him for his penchant for lying and presenting false opinions without credible facts, on the other hand, he is posing himself as an ethnic lord who sees no wrong in his kinsmen.
Obi can't help himself. That is how he is 'wired'. Aside being an incorrigible and habitual liar, he is an ethno-religious bigot also.

We all remember the "yes daddy" recording that damn him forever as a religious bigot and hater of Islam.

This blind defence of Igbos, against the assertion of a sitting Governor privy to the most sensitive security briefing and information, is another episode damming Obi an ethnic jingoist.

So many bad quality in one man yet some keep touting him President Material.
