Where were you when ebilokan made his fellow southerner Jonathan a one term president in favour of his cluelessly expired northerner?

We are not going to let you get away with this lame attempt to rewrite history.

Address your tears and wailing about slave masters to ebilokan, whose destructive naked dance of selfish greed plunged us into APC shege that was fraudulently packaged as change in 2015!
You're wasting your own time. You are one of those on a list of irredeemable 'irritants' on Nairaland I won't bother to dignify their post, directed at me with, with a serious response.

Just thought to let you know you'd be better served foaming at the mouth at someone else.

Wike has lost his reputation since 2023 election. He cannot contest for any electoral position and win in this country called Nigeria.
Lol, if Wike "lost reputation" because of one single loss, immediately after a successful stint as Governor, then what of Atiku who has been collecting back-to-back losses for over two decades and after at least five efforts to be President?

Atiku paid and got the ticket

Wike lost both

Atiku is wikes husband
Rubbish. Tambuwal, as an example of the cynical Fulani gang-up needed to defeat Wike, stepped down last minute and urged his followers to vote Atiku.

Wike is a hero who stood and fought the machiavellian machinations of born-to-rule desperados like a man with Tinubu doing same in APC.

Whereas Obi, I am.sure your ilk support by default, fled because he did not have the balls to face his Fulani overlords.

You all should be ashamed at how you reason because the 2022 PDP Primaries was Wike's first attempt to be President yet your hero Atiku has tried and failed at least five times now.

Kudos to Tinubu for his leadership and Wike for his initiatives, let's focus on ensuring transparent and fair electoral processes like we had in 2023 not baseless allegations of delegate inducement of something that happened as far back as 2022.
Indeed. Momodu is a shallow and unprincipled character who will go to his grave worshipping money and those who have it.

This is why, till today, his main claim to fame is a magazine, Ovation, showcasing the celebatory exploits of the wealthy and well-heeled in society.

A gloriilfied mouthpiece of monied folks only marginally better than praise-singers at Parties who exalt guest for 'donation'.

Were he to be put in Wike's shoe today can he achieve 0.000001% of what Wike has so far as FCT Minister?

Of course not because Momodu will be too busy singing and dancing sycophantically for all the elites and political movers and shakers of Abuja while ignoring ordinary dwellers of the FCT as a person who has only ever seen the rich as important and deserving of his time and attention.

Abeg, this one is no contest. Wike was ungracious about Momodu and, for all his good work in Abuja, our FCT Minister should try to move with better grace and diplomacy.

Yet, Momodu should sit his bougie ass down. He has never done a single good thing for ordinary Nigerians. He was pals with Wike previously due to financial rewards he thought he would reap.

He should go and do something of worth with his life others will remember him for after he departs the Earth. Otherwise what is shown below, that currently defines him, will be his legacy.

This is unbelievable! Unimaginable!!
Damn it
When did we get to this level where a state governor will be begging a terrorist! Too bad.
It is a norm in the North and deplorable. If Nigerians are wise and focused on solutions delivery above everything else, we should all simply concentrate on lobbying our legislative representatives to demand State or regional policing and threatening them with recall if such is not delivered.

No point trying to rationalise how Northerners think anymore, or blaming Southern Presidents like OBJ, GEJ or Tinubu for problems they can never solve, because we should have long accepted Northerners are who they are and will continue to be for the foreseeable future

The rest of us, since they don't seem ready to do what is required for optimal peace and security, should just move to gain solutions that will mean we do not keep dying over the mindset and decision-making of Northern leaders.

With State/regional policing and Forest gaurds, I will simply remain in my SW. Let those who believe in rehabilitating and pleading with terrorists deal with their menace in their States and region.

What do you have to say about the Buhari and Tinubu led-APC governments that gave them leeways by graduating them from the many useless operation safe corridors programs?

Imagine spending the resources of this nation to rehabilitate these killers as repentant terrorists while the military being decimated is suffering.
What is wrong with you and your stubborn refusal to speak cognisant of reality?

This isn’t a Party issue and certainly not a Tinubu issue. All we see today was in place before Tinubu became President.

Indeed Bala Mohammed who is PDP, under APC Buhari also complicit in treating terrorist with kids gloves, argued that it is justfied for Fulani herders to carry illegal AK47 for protection. Malami, former AGF, ensured soft landing for Fulanis caught in criminal acts anywhere in Nigeria.

They are all in it together whether APC or PDP confirming that this is an issue of Northerners and how they reason. Most accept globally that terrorists and murderers deserves the most severe of punishment.

Not so Northerners and we should all call them out for this lunacy the whole Nigeria is suffering over rather than be playing APC, PDP, LP politics over an existential problem.

If you had sense, are genuinely progressive at all times, and decently focused always on solutions for society then it is only State Policing you should be talking about not political mischief-making.

That is a Hausa man below being brutally honest and indicting his own people of holding Nigeria back with their backwardness and retrogressive mindset. He does not mention Tinubu or any southerner.

Yet misguided southerners like you will be throwing your fellow Southern leaders under the bus dishonestly playing politics of ethno-religious bigotry that departs from the reality all honest and upright Nigerians know and accept like the chap below. Try to show decency sometimes abeg.

Not everything is about political mischief aand attacks against others so your messiah Obi profits.

Lol funny guy u can't study trade of other races and countries but can't take out time to study the rich history of trade and commerce by the North in ur own country? That's a shame bro.

All u written up there is all on the freaking Internet and nothing new or wonderful. Go and study the history of the North and ur country's oil trading.

I hope its not inferior complex or self hate.

Adios.
There is nothing to study about the North. I know far more than you about trade and commerce. I have a first degree in business and information tech, from a premier UK Uni, so I think I know a little bit about gloabl trade and commerce to include those excelling at them.

Great trading people , in specific periods of history, with today in mind, trade with the world and they produce goods that can usually pass the suitability or quality control test of virtually all nations of the world.

Supplying agricultural produce to Southern Nigeria or Niger Rebublic that will never be deemed to be of standard quality for the European or USA market, does not make Northerners great traders today. It makes them below average.

The North was a great centre of West African trade trade in ancient times, with States like Kano being laudable trading hubs and routes for sub-saharan trade and large commercial market allied with factories producibg textiles, leather good etc.

Not today buddy. Because of my core professional educational background, it is a sore point mentioning trade and commerce with me as I fully understand, in global terms, no Nigerian region today is "great" at anything.

Below is the tomato, perhaps from the North, a nairalander bought. You cannot even sell those commercially beyond sub-saharan Africa, to the market of South and North Africa for example, let alone Europe, Asia or the Americas.

Next image is Italian tomatoes with no 'bruises' or malnourished look that penetrates global markets. Just drop the ego. I know about international trade beyond layman rumination and I don’t think you do.

We are great at nothing today and have a long way to go. Nigerian farmers, for some produce, even have to go to get standardisation certification clearance in Ghana so their items can be exported. That's how far ahead of us the Ghanaians are today while you are living in the past.

If we cannot even see how we are nobody, to keep conning ourselves of some mythical greatness, how then do we accept that enormous work lay ahead to catch up with and better others?

This is why I am supporting Asiwaju to revamp our trade and commerce glory and even take such to world class standard , even if reforms will be biting initially, while sentimental folks like you are supporting some Agulu charalatan promising "Paradise Nigeria" in 2 years. Rubbish. Exposed and serious people dont have time for the joke that is Peter Obi.

So my dear brother Peter Obi is very relatable and well connected to the North that it will bring not only celebrations but tears of joy.
Look, my friend, one Dangote or Bua, does not make a "great trading people".

Below are those , from ancient time to now, known to be great at trade and commerce. You guys are simply too emotionally attached to your view point and biases instead of simply respecting proven facts, statistics and realities.

Note Arabs, which the Qataris are, mentioned below. Sometimes respect facts and learn from others. It is annoying how you people just argue obdurately because of political bias.

Many groups throughout history have been renowned for their prowess in trade and commerce. Historically, groups like the Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, and Chinese were known for long-distance trade and establishing trade routes. In modern times, countries like China, the United States, Germany, and Japan are major players in global trade.
Here's a more detailed look:

Ancient Civilizations:

Phoenicians:
Known as skilled seafarers and traders, they established a vast network of trading posts and colonies throughout the Mediterranean.

Arabs:
Dominated trade in the Indian Ocean and along the Silk Road, connecting the East and West.

Chinese:
Traded extensively across Asia, including along the Silk Road, and were known for their silk, porcelain, and other goods.

Modern Nations:

China:
A dominant force in global trade, particularly as an exporter of manufactured goods.

United States:
A major importer and exporter, with significant trade relationships with China and other countries.

Germany:
Known for its high-quality manufactured goods and strong export sector.

Japan:
A significant exporter of automobiles, electronics, and other manufactured goods.

European Union:
As a trading bloc, the EU is a major player in global trade.

Netherlands:
A major trading nation, particularly known for its port of Rotterdam.
Other Notable Groups:

Jewish merchants:
Historically played a significant role in trade across Europe and the Middle East.

Indian merchants:
Have a long history of trade within the Indian subcontinent and with other regions.

Italian city-states:
Venice, Genoa, and other Italian city-states were important trading centers during the Renaissance.

You people sef. Do you even have world view perspective to balance the ludicrous things you say?

Obi is a petty trader. Same with most Northerners who cannot be described as "great traders" by any stretch of the imagination.

When a people are great and domineering traders, they traditionally use the wealth to build great Kingdom, civilisations and exemplary geographical spaces.

With great trade comes great wealth men use to build great spaces like the Qataris used oil trading to develop beautiful and stunning nations.

You are the sort, like Lord Lamba Obi, now flattering and deceiving Northerners they are this and that, with your insincere and duplicitous tongues, when we should all be telling them, for their own good, they are at the very bottom of human civilisation and must immediately go into a period of 2 to 3 decades of aggressive development of ther human resources to catch up and keep pace with others.

Obi has simply shown me how dishonest and desperate you people are by nature. Go and tell the "great trader" lamba to the Northerner below who insist the North have a lot of catching up to do yet they are not interested in that under the brainwashing spell of their clerics, Imams, Sultans and political leaders.

He even says Nigeria must abandon the North if she is to develop commensurate to her endowment. Yet you and Obi are busy patronising the North with lamba you think will gain you Igbo presidency.

Ordinary Northerners are good people in my opinion and need honest and sincere leadership, such as Tinubu can offer, to liberate them now and forever.

Not gbas gbos from their own leaders joined by lamba from Obi and Obidients, as a collective gang of desperado, happy to use them as electoral pawns for your own nefarious agendas.

The bolded is the right response because these are the guys attracting animosity and enmity towards Igbos to then turn around and make it seem others "hate" Igbos and "mean them harm" for "no reason".

This is a democratic exercise . How can you threathen others with another civil conflict as if war is something anyone should ever contemplate let alone use as a tool of blackmail?

Furthermore, talks like that is disrespectful to the those who suffered tragically, directly or indirectly, over the last civil war that was unnecessary, IMO, if calm heads and reasoning had prevailed.

It is the turn of the South. Not Igbos. It will always be the turn of the South or North. When it is the turn of the South then Igbos should negotiate with other southerners if they wish to exclusively produce the Southern candidate.

Ditto for the turn of the North. It is for Northerners to agree, by amicable and negotation-based consensus, where to microzone the ticket to .

"For every action, ther is an equal and opposite reaction". Igbos cannot continue to operate in disdain for this fundamental consideration of life to then always shout they are victim of "hatred, marginalisation and persecution" from others.

Seun Kuti is right in his assertion Tinubu is stoically "covering the crimes" of the rich and elite class but not for the reasons he thinks.

He is also right about the source of 'fiery' Wike's anger as well with the coalition but wrong claiming Wike and other supporters of Tinubu are fighting for "the status quo".

Yes Wike is mad because he is a confrontational and outspoken politician who hates deceit and hypocrisy, yet he now has the displeasure of seeing the likes of Hadi Sirika, the arrowhead of perhaps one of the most blatant and Hushpuppi-style "Nkgerian Air" scam, who should be in jail, strutting around in ADC today as a "rescuer" of Nigeria.

Tinubu's 100% focus on achieving target he sets for himself , without derailing distractions, makes him different to Wike in approach. Tinubu knows the rich and elite class are also our politicians. The very same one's that have brought Nigeria to her knees ftom 1999 till 2023 when he took over.

Seun only knows how to be pugnacious and seek attention as a 'revolutionary voice of he masses.

He does not have enough knowledge or wisdom to understand diplomacy and how it is wise to stoop and conquer if you wish to achieve very difficult task with so many powerful and patently evil individuals standing in the way of you doing that.

Tinubu knows those evil individuals will succeed if he unwisely chooses to confrontation them all at the expense of his core mission and objectives because he is a master of using the adage "work smarter not harder".

Seun is correct Nigeria was a massive crime scene, with many criminals at large having gotten away with monumental looting of State funds, when Tinubu took over.

Yet 4 years, and 8 maximum, is not enough for any President , pragmatically intelligent and genuinely seeking accelerated and enduring growth and progress for Nigeria, to use turning Nigeria into a glorified law Court for trying and jailing past offender.

They are too many, too wealthy and too influential to the extent they will ensure such President will be bogged down in lengthy legal trials upon trials that even 2 term tenure for said President will amount to a big fat zero.

What a wise President should do, if in possession of a solid economic plan to counteract damage done and gradually move Nigeria towards sustainable economic buoyancy, is to focus on using reforms to steady the ship and then consolidate upon that achievement with what should be a long period of accelerated growth and development for Nigeria.

That is a better and more effective strategy that, incidentally, with reforms like fuel subsidy removal and Naira floatation etal, also stops dead in its track the former crimes and theft of the elite to make such permanently impossible in future.

Fundamental changes are better at defeating institutional and entrenched corruption than going to break down many doors, drag people off to jail by their hair only for most cases to then even outlast the tenure of Tinubu.

Better to kill their capacity for commiting those theft and crime at source , with sound reforms, so that Government can focus it's full attention on doing the utmost best for Nigeria and Nigerians.

The bolded show your level of IQ already,so I don't have to say much..

If you could comfortably say Nigeria is recovering with this damage Apc and Tinubu is doing,by borrowing, and increased taxing and nothing to show, then you are definitely not okay upstairs.. You claim persons are doing well, and you failed to highlight many who were doing well before Apc,and can't even feed well now as we speak. You forgot that not everyone can be pushing drugs, involving themselves in shady deals, politics to steal and all of that . How many legit hustlers are currently comfortable in this administration?
You'd be better served trying to gain more knowledge, to have a deeper understanding of issues. Your opinion, outlook and personal situation are not the only ones that exist or to deem superior ro that of all others.

One of the biggest issues with Nigeria is generational poverty that affects everything beginning from how useful an individual can be delivering solutions for himself, his community and nation.

If we hosted the right system that drastically reduces generational poverty then Nigeria would have more solutions providers, from the vast population of ordinary Nigerians, in Agriculture and food sufficiency, STEM (science, technology, Engineering and mathematics) , capacity to manufacture and produce majority of what we need and even exportable surplus etc, etc, etc.

If Nigeria is to break the cycle of generational poverty crippling our nation, enduring for decades now because of the wrong and politically expedient approaches previous governments have taken, then reforms, that cause challenges like inflation etal, cannot be avoided for the sake of securing a much brighter future for ourselves and generations unborn.

There is clear, logically valid and macro-economically sound case for the reforms The PBAT government has initiated and how unavoidable they are for a sincere Government that is committed to doing what is in the best interest of Nigerians who will begin to benefit greatly from the reforms in 2 to 10 years from now.

Yes, economic reforms can contribute to inflation, particularly in the short term. While reforms are often aimed at long-term economic stability and growth, the process of implementing them can disrupt existing economic structures and create inflationary pressures.

Here's a breakdown of how economic reforms can lead to inflation:

1. Removal of Subsidies and Price Controls:
When governments remove subsidies on essential goods like fuel or food, the immediate effect is a price increase for consumers.
This can trigger a ripple effect, pushing up the cost of transportation, production, and ultimately, the price of most goods and services.
For example, Nigeria's removal of fuel subsidies led to a significant increase in the cost of living and inflation.

2. Currency Devaluation:
Reforms that involve devaluing a country's currency (making it worth less in relation to other currencies) can increase the cost of imported goods.
This, in turn, can lead to higher prices for imported raw materials, components, and finished products, contributing to inflation.

3. Deregulation and Market Liberalization:
Reforms that involve deregulation and opening up markets to more competition can initially lead to price volatility as businesses adjust to the new environment
In some cases, this can create opportunities for businesses to raise prices, especially if there are limited alternative suppliers.
For example, labor market reforms that reduce union power can shift the inflation barrier to lower levels of unemployment, potentially leading to higher inflation.

4. Expansionary Fiscal and Monetary Policies:

To mitigate the negative effects of reforms, governments may implement expansionary policies like lowering interest rates or increasing government spending.

While these policies can stimulate economic growth, they can also lead to increased demand and potentially higher inflation if not managed carefully.
Increased money supply due to low interest rates can also lead to inflation as more money chases the same amount of goods.

5. Supply Chain Disruptions:
Economic reforms can sometimes disrupt existing supply chains, leading to shortages and higher prices.
For example, reforms that impact transportation or logistics can increase the cost of moving goods, contributing to inflation.

6. Inflation Expectations:
If consumers and businesses expect that reforms will lead to higher prices, they may adjust their behavior accordingly, leading to a self-fulfilling prophecy of inflation.

In Conclusion:
While economic reforms are crucial for long-term growth and stability, they can create short-term inflationary pressures. Governments need to carefully manage the implementation of reforms and implement appropriate policies to mitigate these risks and ensure that the benefits of reform are realized without excessive inflationary costs.

You guys should grow up. Many are doing well in this same Nigeria better than they would abroad. Not everything is about the cost of Kpomo and Garri.

Even if you cannot see it there are things being delivered, beneficial to Nigerians, that have never been seen before.

Nigeria is in unavoidable transition like a cancer patient who underwent painful treatment and recovery to then have a good and healthy life after defeating the deadly illness. Nigeria too will be well and thriving better than before soon.

Politics › Re: Civil War Looms: Why Nigeria Risk Collapse If Igbos Are Denied 2027 Presidency by WizardOfNG: 3:22pm On Jul 06, 2025
Total hogwash. The only argument that is meritorious is that 2027 is the turn of the South.

Meaning any Igbo wishing to be President should find a good Party platform to use challenging Tinubu while the North should be impressed upon to do the honorable thing and stay out of contesting in 2027 completely.

That is what should happen ideally. Meaning Igbos would be best served warning the North to do what is honourable rather than acting like confused lemmings making empty threats in the wrong direction because they are scared to confront their Fulani masters.

If Igbos are not bold enough to demand Fulanis step aside for them, then they must never think they can threathen Tinubu and Yorubas to do so either when 2027 is still the turn of the South to include Tinubu who is a Southerner.

@OP.

For the umpteenth time, Tinubu is not GEJ. Non of us can predict the future but I believe Tinubu, as one of the greatest political strategist in the history of Nigeria, will win fairly easily in 2027.

Datti Baba-Ahmed said it all when he reminded us that Tinubu planned meticulously to be President for 16 years and even demonstrated supreme vision making requisite sacrifices, other like selfish Atiku etal will never contemplate, to get where he is today.

He has plenty of time to work on areas of deficiencies and build greater alliances to gain a resounding win in 2027.
