Also, at least 20% of consumers of electricity do not pay at all for the power they use due to meter bypassing or just plain removal. TO use a phone you must pay money into it. If you don't, your line would eventually be declared dormant.

So, the GSM companies make money, enough money to pay for improvements ...while the power sector loses money and has to sack workers and reject power from gencos to survive till the next year.., because of goverment policy and people thinking power must be free (which is one of the reasons why tinubu is a bad leader).
