We will never see Atiku, Kwankwaso etal condemn this madness. This poor boy maimed for life and rendered disabled with so many opportunities now taken away from him. A child !!! Yet they want to lead Nigeria and other Nigerians who do not believe in this barbarism Northern leaders cannot even tackle proactively, let alone put a decisive stop to, in their region and home States. Still, they insist they are best to lead all others. |
uniquetechng:It is not about wealth alone. Are Saudi Arabians like Nigerians used to fierce defense of a self-destructive culture whereby weaponised poverty from one government after another for decades, through use of subsidies in critical sector that should pay for itself like education and electricity etal has led to the ruination of everything and everyone? Tell Nigerians to support reforms, as citizens of other nations have done to develop their nation, and receive curses in return. Look at education where government after government subsidised school fees so it is no higher for students per year than the full tank of one of my V6 SUVs just so we can boast Nigeria too has "graduates". Yet the end result is a lack of innate strenght in the eduxation system to attract quality tuition that creates solutions providers. Today we have a system that sells degrees to students who barely spend 10 days in total in a lecture hall. Others are creating solutions providers while Nigeria is creating tonnes of mass communication graduates and civil engineers who cannot build footpaths let alone fourth mainland bridge. The problem is with the people and not leadership alone today although leaders in the past are to blame heavily because had they applied tough love, instead of using subsidies as tools of weaponised poverty to keep Nigerians docile, things may be different today |
athorello:Indeed. The bolded in your post is what all previous Presidents accepted and decided to work with deceitfully in the quest to enjoy 8 years in office. They know Nigerians are "not wired" to pay the real cost it will take to create 24/7 electricity so they use Government funds for subsidy that keeps poor and inadequate power supply in place while bullying GENCOs and DISCOs to keep operating even though they owe them trillions. It is stubborn Tinubu who is the "failure" and enemy today for his obsession with permanent solutions that has led him to chase the creation of a culture of Nigerians paying cost-reflective tariffs , that is the norm globally, to end the problem of the power sector. With Nigeria being broke, while GEJ and Buhari trotted out fake "power sector privatision" initiatives they did not support beyond signing on the dotted line, how will foreign investors be attracted to transform our power sector for the better if we are not ready to pay tariffs that makes it profitable and worthwhile for them to do so? Last, last, and perhaps in fifty years, it will dawn on some why some of us want regional autonomy while ignorant Nigerians who do not know the nature of the major problems of Nigeria keep believing one messiah can deliver 24/7 power, cheap fuel, 0.5% inflation rate etc. Tinubu, while his predecessors believed in half measures and deception so they enjoy 8 yeats in officers, is paying for his decency and sincerity that makes him believe requisite socio-economic "tough love" and reformational leadership, the sort that lifted many million out of poverty in Singapore and China, is the way forward. His only mistake is not understanding that Nigerians are very different to Singaporeans and Chinese people. Tell a Singaporean or Chinese that cheap petrol and free power supply is not possible/sustainable and he will reason the matter to shape up. Tell the Chinese man he must have one child for the foreseeable future so that China's national resources can cover the needs of her citizens and he will discipline himself to have one child only. Nigerians are the total opposite. It is government that must find a way to give them cheap fuel, free electricity and opulent lives for their 25 kids even as father and his 5 wives who gave birth to those children they cannot raise well are illiterates with little employable skills. |
nairalanda1:This is why I like and dislike you in equal measure passionately. You know the truth, as someone with an above average grasp of the full picture, yet you keep attacking Tinubu your specialist knowledge should make you praise as the truth and only leader looking for critically effective solutions to entrenched problems. Was it not OBJ, GEJ and Buhari responsible for the bolded in your post while Tinubu, trying to foster foreign investor confidence in our power sector, prefers to settle debts, in trillions of Naira, owed to DISCOs and GENCOs, when they have now downed tools, rather than bully them with Presidential fiat as other Presidents before him did? |
femmy2010:It is impossible for power supply to be available because of the preference of past governments for sweeping problems under the rug rather than deal with the root cause of the problem as Tinubu is trying to do. If a woman cannot have children because of medical issues with her womb that needs addressing, what Kind of adult would you be beating and insulting her daily for being "worthless" rather than understand her problem and what is needed to cure it i.e medical intervention? This is my problem with Nigerians. Especially those who are educated yet reason like cavemen. Please educate yourself about Non-cost-reflective tariffs, a situation subsidization of the electricity sector over decades caused, to have a full grasp of the big picture so you can note the almost non-repairable damage decades of subsidizing the power sector by myopic past Governments has done to Nigeria. Shamefully today, especially as a poor reflection of the educated class in Nigeria, it is disgusting how many do not try and undertand the root cause of what led us here and are only happy to attack a President looking for permanent solutions. Other before him patronised you so they can enjoy their 8 years in office jeje and pass on the issues to the next President. Yet those past Presidents (OBJ, GEJ and Buhari) are 100% cumulatively responsible for where we are today yet you praise them and even wish for their return. Is it not clear their cumulative failure was going to lead to this big mess, as we see today, Tinubu is now expected to fix today? Tell me how Tinubu is responsible for what is shown below when he is the only President, 100% factually proven, trying to address it with gradual removal of subsidy in the electrictity sector, through banding, while you all want power Minister Adelabu lynched. Is it a mystery Adelabu has fled the lynch-mob functional illteracy of Nigerians to chase his local ambtion of becoming Oyo Governor? Adeyanju is right and the Ministerial leadership of the power sector is a poisoned chalice for any sensible Nigerian technocrat to accept because they would be dealing with the most unreasonable people in the world who believe a small rock should be able to give water voluminous enough to fill an olympic-sized swimming pool.
|
cyril10:Adeyanju might sound condescending and arrogant but he is factually correct. Nigerians are now a people who cannot pay for 24/7 power supply because past Government .have used subsidies in critical sectors (petrol, education, power supply, artificial propping up of value Naira etc) as weaponised tools of making inadequately educated and unexposed Nigerians comfortanle with poverty that should not be their portion. All Presidents, from 1999 to 2023, turned Nigerians into beggars, living worse than pets in developed nations, yet believing life was good and better under OBJ, GEJ and Buhari because of cheap fuel, non cost-reflective electricity tariffs, cheap substandard education etal. The best life possible, per global best standard definition of that, is what Tinubu wants to deliver with reforms, punitive in the short term, yet will see Nigeria become.a developed natiom in 20 to 30 years from now. Please educate yourself about Non-cost-reflective tariffs to understand what Adeyanju is saying.

SmartPolician:I can understand your suport for Gbaja. I called it in favour of Hamzat years ago while people were talking Seyi Tinubu, Gbajabiamila etal because I think Gbaja himself, and even Tinubu, know he is destined for greater . I will make another prediction here folks will refer to in future. Tinubu is an old man. His influence will wane sigificantly going forward same way OBJ is fragile today with no real or influential power. There will be a struggle to to find a new Tinubu in around 5 to 6 years. Gbajabiamila is one of the few who can step into that role. Same way Tinubu, because he only wanted to be President, never went for senatorial office or any other position after he finished as governor is how Gbaja is already eyeing the role of defacto Yoruba nation political leader beyond Tinubu and onwards to being a future President health and age allowing. Nature abhors a vacuum and obvious Tinubu's exit will leave a huge vacuum someone must step up to plug. It is clear Gbaja, for those who can see the intangibles, has the quality to aspire to Tinubu level whereas the likes of Hamzat, Sanwo Olu, Fashola, Ambode, Osinbajo are below that level Tinubu has reached. The Yoruba leader that want to be like Tinubu has to be an aura for aura and energy for energy type of Negro. Very few are about that life. I think Gbajabiamila qualifies beginning from my knowledge of him as a kid whose residential constituency Gbaja led. Till today, they are asking how Gbaja found money to deliver the stupendous achievements he did from an HOR position same as Tinubu's winning ways are mysterious. Go figure. To those Gbaja led, as a rep, he remains iconically loved like a magician transforming immensely while his secret that allows him do the impossible remains unknown. Precisly same as Tinubu. Gbaja, to his constituency, is greater than all Lagos federal Senators combined. All in his hood can street-fight for him and I have seen it with my own eyes. Gbaja moves on his own and does magic, same as Tinubu, while others like Osinbajo and Fashola etal need 'enablers' and 'alagbaras, I am already thinking beyond Jagaban I love and support passionately because I know we must all leave the stage in the end. Meaning any progressive Yoruba, in a feudal and ethno-religiously divided Nigeria, must be looking at who replaces Jagaban to become the leader of the Yoruba nation. Gbaja is a name. Lagos Governorship is nothing for a man who patiently plans for the biggest stage as Tinubu did to then arrive there. |
Carry go Hamzat. Done deal 100%. I am sure yoi will never disappoint and will lead Lagos to be greater than you met her. |
Kukutente23:Lol. You just described yourself. |
helinues:I think he has mental health issues for sure. He is no different to the Donald Trump's of the world albeit on a mich smaller scale. |
The dumbest people are those that manipulative folks, with hidden agendas, throw clearly senseless and fake news to and they begin losing their head discussing it. Sowore is a fraudstar who thinks little of the average Nigeria. He uses SaharaReporters as his own private tool of deception and manipulation. |
Losers assembly. Lol 😄😂😅 |
ukfootwear:He will win easily . He will be APC consensus choice and will win the gubernatorial election with a landslide |
Ashirioluwa:You are minding the clueless Obidient/IPOB lot? |
Emzedz:Lol. Lead the opposition to oust him na. Shebi you are a pollitical genius bigger than the many, including OBJ et al, who have tried yet failed to bring Asiwaju down. To be great and successful, learn from those who are great and sucessful in life. Simple but very effective advice. "Don't hate, appreciate". |
Pacesetter123:Lol..Sowore is not sane walahi. He is right though telling Malami say na everybody go chop breakfast last last. |
Said it more than 2 years ago Hamzat is the one. I also categorically dismissed any chance of Seyi Tinubu becoming Governor of Lagos before age 45 and without 'paying his dues'. Lagos is the most politically complex State in Nigeria by far. Those who dont understand that will never see how the State continues moving forward, to be inspirational in Africa, while others around her are mediocre and comedic. |
Radicalwarrior:Lol..show proof of your claim here on NL talk less of other social media portals. Yorubas afraid to challenge who online? Even in the Streets, where it is far more dangerous, it is Yorubas who have faces bullets and tyranny for the sake of a better Nigeria many, many times through noble men like Woke Sktinka, Gani ,Fawehinmi, Fela and countless others Obi's 2027 political success or failure has nothing to do with "Tinubu supporters". The minute you accept this and face the real enemies of Igbo Presidency, who showed they did not give a toss about you guys back when they made Obi flee PDP in 2022, the better for you. You are not even ashamed it was a Yoruba man, Bode George who bravely fought for Obi and the South in the PDP with his insistence that PDP 2023 ticket must be zoned to the South yet Atiku, Tambuwal etal found ways to circumvent that noble call and humiliated you people. They are about to do same to Obi in ADC and you are still here shouting "Tinubu supporters". Na real wa for Una. |
Radicalwarrior:Bro, stop this show of cowardice. You keep mentioning "Tinubu supporters" When are you going to quit being like Obi who flees from his main oppressors, I.e Fulanis, to keep attacking Tinubu and Yorubas? Obi, to stand a chance, has to get APC ticket. What has that got to do with "Tinubu supporters"? Who are those standing in the way of Obi becoming the candidate of ADC , in a period that is the turn of the South, other than dishonorable Fulanis like Atiku, Malami, Tambuwal etal? You guys should learn to keep your emotions in check because, at times like this, you are showing all Nigerians you cannot be taken taken seriously in regards to politics. I have never seen anything like you people are showing in my life whereby someone is punching the hell out of you yet you are attacking the individual trying to resuscitate you |
Lol. Sowore is mad but I dey gba dun the dude sometimes. He is telling Malami "K'o jade si ita" as Asake challenged in Joha. Malami , oya "jade si ita" na "ti oba wa". Buhari that gave you life, when you were a nobody, ain't about bro. PBAT and Yorubas are not your slaves.. We know what we are about and what we can be independently without "one Nigeria". You lot need to thread carefully with the born-to-rule arrogance while you remain Nigeria's main headache yet you, Atiku, Kwankwaso etal never taking local "charity begins at home responsibility" as SW leaders did with Amotekun etal. You don't own Nigeria. Especially when you cannot abe associated with what is most beautiful, commendable and progressive about her today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXl5dPuiJa0?si=J3n6XCIU_vGMZvph |
AdolfHitlerxXx:Lol. TKO via uppercut in the house. 😂😅 |
AMINDA:Lol..you did not 'bother to read" indeed. I am your nemesis, superior and teacher here. Go and ask about Nairaland life from Odin13 I have schooled to the extent he sweats when I mention him. Your own is near. shebi January 2027 is not far. Only difference is Odin13 is more rugged than you. I am 💯% sure you will flee for the hills, like Obi, never to be seen again when your messiah Atiku is vanquished next year for good. |
Radicalwarrior:Lol. As one beautiful, charismatic and intelligent Edo female content creator and tiktoker put it "If Fulani beat up Igbo man, the Igbo man will run to go hold Yoruba man trousers to say na you beat me". That is what you are doing here. Fulanis have ensured the failure of Obi via making sure he is schemed out in ADC. It is Fulani born-to-rule imperialism that will be responsible for the 2027 race not being an exclusively Southern battle I e Obi vs PBAT Vs Amaechi Vs Sowore etal. Yet you lot are still shamelessly finding lame excuses to insert "Tinubu supporters" as your foes rather than face your real tormentors. Why not face Fulanis wey beat Obi run commit PDP in 2022 and are about to flog him out of ADC in a few weeks from now? |
1nice:😃😃🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😅🤣😆 |
AMINDA:Bro, dey get shame sometimes na. Do you know how you come across with your shameless effort to always dry-clean the garments of the North? Which North does not care whether whether "Tinubu moves the whole country to the South" when even politically conscious Non-Nigerians will tell you that the North has had a historical fixation with controlling the military and armed forces might of Nigeria? It is common knowledge Northerners accept the mantra "might is right" to bridge the huge gap, entirely the doing of their leaders, that is their reality and has put them way behind the South in terms of education, entrepreneurial capacity, technocratic efficiency, progressive thinking and capacity for solutions provision. Can you tell us the name of the alleged coup plotters who wanted to remove Tinubu because they feel democracy is not working for them and they must use "might is right" mantra to remove PBAT? You take this your hate of Tinubu and Yorubas too far to the extent you say thing completely at odds with the reality of Nigeria even non-Nigerians knows. Mere CBN functions relocated to Lagos Ndume and co began making noise. Today, under Cardoso, Nigeria central bank is the reigning world central bank of the year winner. We have never won the award. Guy, you need to change your life and mindset. Your calibration is way off. I am no enemy of the North but I believe they must not be indulged further as they will take us all down. That is something I am not willing to accept because it is time Nigeria show North tough love or allow them finish us off. Rather Nigeria should separate, before that happens, so they have their Islamic Sharia nation while we live as we wish safely and securely in the secular and progressive South that Northerners, courtesy of their overbearing, imperialist, hegemonist and radical leaders like Atiku, have rejected |
ibtommy:God bless you. Even if Nigeria will not split up soonish, it is time Southerners develop the balls to let the laggardly North understand that families deal with the problem child, so he/she reforms to be productive, rather than continue to indulge the perverse wrongdoing of said child till he/she becomes a terrorist and existential threat to the family. Northerners needed to take a look at themselves and the pain, backwardness and regression they are foisting on Nigeria while still insisting on leading our nation and having control over those who are the ones giving Nigeria semblance of progressive nationhood. You destroy alcohol yet have the nerve to accept huge VAT, you can never generate, originating from region where progressive adults help the accrual of the largest amount of VAT from the alcohol and leisure sector which should be the choice of adults rather than religion in a secular nation. What Northerners, particularly Fulanis, are doing is not seen anywhere else in the world without the rise of serious internecine and ethnic conflict as was witnessed in Rwanda, They really need to be guided and start being responsible because, in the end, evolution will teach all Nigerians to move away from a family member that is the weakest link yet insists on bringing the family down. Like you, I also believe a break-up of Nigeria is inevitable. Whether such is peaceful/progressive or violent and extremely disruptive is up to Nigerians. |
anonimi:Bro, go and sit down. You are done. Simple understanding of the need to carry the day with sound and factual argument you have never been capable of here for years of being a Nairalanders. Probably decades even. You will jump around so much distractlvely, avoiding even answers you demanded when those are supplied , and you think other adults will not understand you have serious issues? Most adults know that the second conclusive facts emerge is the time to chill with whatever discredited claims they made. Never you. Keep making a fool of yourself. Not like anyone here view you as credible or rational anyway. |
anonimi:The forum can see you for who you are. Below is your post demanding my response. Focus on the bolded where you made specific demands. I responded conclusively with proof that, as usual, your are trying to avoid after being exposed of lying because you believe Nigerians are ignorant and will swallow your revision of history accusing Tinubu of inactions over critical development history conclusively prove he was not guilty of. Principled folks would quietly disappear after that. Not you. Instead you show up, ignore answer I have just supplied to tackle your mischief, to then double down in shamelessness attaching yourself to a new sentence of mine to play whataboutism with. Again, deal with the issue of how proof, that you shamefully avoided, has been supplied to show conclusively Tinubu acted to insist Jonathan be sworn in as substantive President in 2010. Comment also on proof that confirms Tinubu vehemently opposed OBJ's attempt to secure a third term in office even as you tried to disenfranchise him in that struggle so you can position the ultra-selfish Atiku, only interested in becoming President rather than protecting Nigeria's democracy, the arrowhead of that resistance that produced many heroes like Ken Nnamani etal. You have serious issues bro. Most honourable men understand it is always "give credit to whom such is due". Even if they will not do that, perhaps for strong personal reasons, they will never do the opposite to tell lies to ensure credit is not given to those who deserve such. If you have fact checked your claim, why did you fail to share the information and sources huh |
anonimi:This is why I am a big fan of AI. Apart from it's main uses of providing real time solutions for those who need those to apply to socio-economic, business, personal and professional challenges AI, as a source of accurately archived info, makes it easy to discredit insincere folks like you in seconds. See two distinct answers and proof below that AI suppliers proof in seconds for what I knows and can prove but may have spent time searching to find historical coverage of. You are not serious nor sincere. You have never being that. Merely someone who shift shape to support his prejudiced and personal obsession with demonising Tinubu and making the man appear villainous. Whereas you support those in thr category of worst ever who can aspire to lead Nigeria. Try and wriggle out of what is shown below because I know you will try since Nigerians like you never admit maligning others wrongly and have no capacity for apologising when exposed for doing wrong. Tinubu is an all-round good guy. His pragmatic choices may not always resonate well with ordninaty Nigerians with an incomplete view of the big picture but he always means well and show up to defend/support who/what is in the best interest of society. Something that can never be said of your Dubai-Dweller messiah Atiku.
|
anonimi:You always make comments that defy factual reality to leave folks wondering the world you live in. Which 8 year agreement for the South was made on behalf of GEJ who was only in power, on the 8 year slot of the North from 2007 to 2016, because Yar Adua died? Let's go down memory lane. Jonathan was in power for 5 years out of what was an 8 year slot of the North that detests being out of power for even a day. Fact check and you will not Tinubu was one of the prominent leaders then ( mainly Yorubas) who insisted GEJ must be sworn in as substantive President when Yar Adua eas comatose overseas. What did Atiku contribute then? Point to where he intevened to democratically insist Jonathan be formally declared substantive President when the Turai Yar Adau , Edevbie and Aondoakaa cabal was determined to keep cashing in on Yar Adua's name. Thanks, as usual to vociferous voice of Yorubas, who are the conscience of Nigeria when they have to be from Wole Soyinka etal, while others hid, who protested publicly for GEJ to be sworn in as substantive President in 2010 a year before the 2011 election that would have been Yar Adua second term of 4 years on behalf of the slot of the North. Stoo revising recent history, we all lived through, senselessly. 2007 to 2015 was not the slot of the South even as GEJ was in Aso Rock by accident. |
