Someone who knew u wlare vulnerable, went in to show u and didnt steal anything really wanted to help you
He should be severely punished to serve as deterrent to people who could be motivated to do same. Organisations such as Amazon and Netflix offer bug bounties for people to try and compromise their security perimeters and web applications only/after watertight agreements and rules of engagement are in place.

If you fill an IPPIS (Salary) form for instance you'll be asked for your name, account number, date of birth, BVN(to ensure you've not provided another account somewhere). Those papers are discarded in trash cans after data are entered into a computer system.

YOU CAN PROVIDE ANY OF THOSE TO A LOAN APP, to sign up on remita, to withdraw money from a betnaija/nairabet/betway account . INFACT, when someone asks you to fill in those information, the person can make inquiries from your bank to ensure you didn't fill in fake details.

No one asks for debit card security code, not even the bank manager is aware of the code. You can only lose it unknowingly to a phishing attack. That's your only private information in the banking department. Nigerian banks are even more secure than American banks. That's the only thing someone can withdraw your money with.
Awoo88:
It is public. That is why when you filling firm online that requires you bvn, the phone number associated with is request. If you muss out any number you submission will not go through
You guys don't understand what public information is...providing those datasets on some forms do not make them public; they are known as personally identifiable information PII - any data that identifies an individual. They need the same protection / security controls you give to your prized assets. To put in layman's terms, any information you can't freely share on social media platforms are not public information.

Means nothing.

BVN, Name, mobile number, Account number are a kind of public information.

He needs safe pins of debit cards to withdraw any amount. Just another attention seeker.
How can those datasets be public information?

From what I see .. with a limited company the person who owes the money is not the director but the company . The only way you can come for the director is if there evidence that the money was misappropriated for personal use

That will be time consuming for HMRC's or the bank to do for each company during this covid. Personally I feel las Las nothing will happen but government will quietly wipe it. If government does too much gra gra, it still works against them that why did the scheme not have a better check in place . All these limited company will just be closed , declared bankruptcy case closed.

However time will tell
Thank you...this is exactly my point.

Anybody that you owe money to can place a charge on your property. They will have to go through the courts to do it. Worst still they can also force you to sell but the courts will only allow this as a last resort. Sometimes your mortgage holder might pay this debt and bung up your mortgage with charges. They will only do this if you’ve got loads of equity in the property.
Both of you are missing the point now. Anyone can place a charge on property because of an unsecured loan, the process is long winded, the court cost is prohibitive and probability of winning is so low it's not worth the effort.

What is an Unsecured Loan?
An unsecured loan isn't attached to any collateral. The only assurance the lender has that you will repay the debt is your creditworthiness and your word. Common types of unsecured loans include personal loans and student loans. Credit cards are another type unsecured credit, also known as revolving credit, where you essentially borrow and repay monthly.

What Happens If You Default?
Whenever you fail to repay a debt, it affects your credit. While unsecured loans have no collateral for the lender to claim if you don't pay, they're not without recourse if you default on the loan. Lenders can put your account into collections and take legal action against you to recoup some or all of the debt. Some lenders could also file lawsuits to recoup monies owed, and this could result in a civil judgment that would negatively impact your credit. Additionally late payments that are reported impact your credit negatively and future potential lenders will likely see that as a red flag before extending you credit.

Any kind of loan default negatively affects credit scores. Collections and civil judgments also show on credit reports for seven years from the date the account first went delinquent or the date of the ruling against you.

Obviously, you don't know much about BBLs, the govt basically told the banks - dont do any checks, just give any ltd company the loan provided they have been set up before 1st March 2020

It's not free money, it's a grant(loan).....

It's called Bounce Back LOAN...... The clue in the name......... cheesy
That is why I said the premise upon which the load is granted is flawed. Ordinarily, banks would do affordability and eligibilty checks. These are basic due dilligence activity conducted on potential loanees. The did zilch, nowt, zero and nada....owo abu grin

I am glad you saw the light...... Not many people understand this.......

Even credit card debts can be charged on a property......

Lesson 101, on property charge..... OVER..... cool cheesy
You missed the point...when BBL was taken at what point did you tell me my property is at stake if I default?

Mortgage default is the only sure banker to reposess the property. This would have been agreed from outset.

Others should please learn........
If the property charge route is that easy, no one would default in this country.

An unsecured loan cannot be charged on a property?

Please, read up on this subject........
No. They can try it but it doesnt work. There's a pre-existing mortgage on the property. So, you think the lender will be looking like bolo for you to try and sell to get your own money abi?
