Aphrodite007: Hehehe! My dad paid some money into my account when I was a student, that’s how Barclays put a flag on my account o. For almost 3 years, I didn’t know, one day I called to ask to upgrade my account from student, that’s how the advisor mistakenly let slip that there was a flag on my account.
As I ended the call, I opened bank with FD. I can’t shout.
No vex too much, open another bank. Erico2k2 go vex again My oga who earns shitload has just his natwest bank account was surprised when I told him I have about 10. The way to go in this country is to maintain multiple accounts, even if you just pay in 5 pounds and withdraw it every month. That is maintenance. |

HiddenID: Hello everyone, please has anyone been able to do a name change after marriage here in the UK?
I have done some research and via deed poll is what's mostly recommended.
My confusion is, do we need to do it the UK way or Nigerian way (publishing on newspaper etc)?
Also, how do we go about this on our Nigerian passport?
I'll really appreciate some guidance.
Thanks all.
Cc: Justwise Lexusgs430 LagosismyHome wonlasewonimi or anyone who understands the process please Bros, I have no clue how to go about this process. Hopefully, someone would be able to shed more light on it. |

wallg123: You mean in Nigeria ?. Only people i know that have their account closed were people who used the account to receive or send fraud money. ....... Your account cannot be closed for no reason without any explanation to the fact.....
Are Uk banks racist? In UK mate, as braket said they don't have to justify the closure. Most of the time, they will give you notification except when there is clear evidence of fraud This is why I am an advocate of multiple accounts. BTW, my favorite bank Starling won the best UK bank based on survey conducted by Which. Running away from erico2k2 now. |

wallg123: My brother!!! He that comes for justice must come with clean hands ... Tell us the full story, bank won’t just wake up suddenly to start closing people’s account for no reason ... usually they block your account if you’ve made unusual expenses and until you verify that it’s you making that purchase or transaction they’ll unblock it. However if you’ve deliberately used your account to perpetrate fraudulent activities, then Alas your account would be closed and the said proceeds of fraud forfeited...
If you’ve truly spoken with the bank, they’ll tell you why your account was closed. I’m sure you know why Banks are generally crazy in this country, they can decide to close your account without giving a valid reason. Most of the time they rely on automated alerts which could trigger the closure. This is how they coined computer says No. |

pacespot: This man will soon overtake that Amazon guy, Jeff Benzo is only riding the wave of covid-19, once the pandemic is over, more people will be shopping in-store rather than online. Elon Musk is the true billionaire for the future. He will enjoy that spot for a long time. And this is a warning to Nigeria and other developing countries still depending heavily on oil. Tech is the future, people are moving their investments from the fossil fuels to renewable energies. The election of Biden will only help push investments in that direction, USA will rejoin the Paris agreement and the cause to save humanity from the danger of climate change will gain more momentum. The fact that you don't know amazon Web services is ridiculous. Jeff Bezos is set for life! |

Tobexin: if you are converting pounds to Naira anytime you wanna spend you would feel like not spending money...... if I tell you my own eh ok hear this I did call a barber for a home service last week do you know how much he charged me? He charged me £30 pounds I didn’t even know it was that much until I converted it to Naira after he went ,I saw it was N19,000 ooo my leg begin to shake ooo because in Nigeria I do have my haircut in a standard barber shop in Abuja and at most it N1,000 with free body massage after cutting my hair. To wash car nko it £15 that’s almost N12,000. But in all I can not be converting pounds to Naira if I want to spend it doesn’t make any sense as the economy is different. You don't get happy ending after body massage? |

These days, people forget their passwords like everyday. What's the point of using complicated passwords if you won't remember them. What I recommend as a practice is to use a passphrase as against complex password. For example one of my password is Ilovebigyansh! |

Chreze: I find this advice important to me as I have lived in a furnished studio when I was studying some years back in Asia. In fact I got married and we both enjoyed the furnished studio apartment then. But now there is an infant and though I intend getting a 1bed room furnished apartment in Glasgow, with kitchen and bedroom on a space of its own cos of my infant, I am very much concern about having an infant in a furnished apartment, as any form of damage caused by the child on the furnitures or property will be expensive.
I very much believe in furnished apartment for student year(s) and you can do otherwise when you get a job. But never tried with an infant(boy) and I have a feeling he will be a miraculous/magical boy. He’s displaying a very good climbing skills and while he has not caused any form of damage in our present apartment (3bed). I am scared of a furnishing that belongs to another.
Please advice with those specific info above.
Pls Anyone and everyone with miraculous/magical kid(s). Pls help a junior club member. That should be the least of your worries cos that magical boy would still draw or write on the walls. |
