Interesting article. I think what we are is a result of conditioning. People who live in densely populated place on earth tend to be more 'ambitious' than those who live in sparsely populated areas with abundant resources. Even inside Nigeria that pattern is noticeable.

It's okay to fantasize about catching a rich guy but it's wrong to beat others down for daring to have the same dreams as you do. That's what ladies do now. It's abusive to label people 'broke' because they are not financially buoyant in your own eyes. It's like ladies now are promoting a caste system in which broke guys have no right to be loved. Like they should be eunuchs because they are broke, but women are free to long for what ever they like because they are women. Who the hell made that law? Where is it written? If it's so in your culture, do you know how many cultures there are in Nigeria, Africa and the world? It's annoying that it is women who lose at the end of the day. There are two things that happen because of it; men become deceitful, claiming to have money they don't have or wait till their fifty before they get married. It's not men who have limited number of eggs in their body, it's women. Some dumb women will just come up with a law your parents did not follow and you all will be living by it.

Nigerian pastors have shown Nigerian Christians to give and and announce it contrary to what Jesus taught them in the bible. Jesus said "But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing". I have observed that Muslims and northerners heed this command more than Christian Southerners. Davido gave to a close friend and announced it. Now Tekno is towing the same path. Why would you help a close friend and be announcing it? What kind of closeness is that?

I am neither a muslim nor a Northerner. I am just expressing my observation.

Whether or not a man is "financially balanced" the burden will always be much on him if he is the breadwinner, as you expect all men to be. A man can only experience that balance if there's a woman who can share the burden equally.

'Northerner' is a region not a tribe. We have northern are southern yorubas just as we have them in Benin and the diaspora. If Southerners decide to make it a tribe, well, it's unfortunate because some of their own will belong in it too.

Because he is the governor of all Kwarans not just the Yorubas in Kwara. The interests of the Yorubas in Nigeria as a whole might clash with those of the groups. Someone else representing the Yoruba community in Kwara can, not the governor.

Kwara stand to benefit a lot economically in a union with states like Lagos, Ogun, oyo, Ondo, Ekiti than the north central states. Imagine a rail network linking Lagos all the way to ilorin... That will surely open up the agricultural potential of kwara state

Yorubas are not the only tribe in Kwara. It would have been disrespectful to the other tribes if their governor had attended. And I do not mean the Fulanis who are quite small in number. I am referring to the Nupe and Bariba.
