Please i want to know if it's possible to get a job through an agent in dubai, someone has asked me to pay 550k for a work visa coupled with a hotel job. I want to know if this is actually real as I planned sending the money at the end of the month.

It is possible yes.
At the same time many have been scammed by such offers, so be very very careful!

Check what the job is
Check what accommodation and feeding is included.
Check what the wages will be very closely.
Many get there and find the conditions change and they are not making the expected money and working slave hours.

This is just the sort of THIEF agent to be warned about.

I believe too many people look at the wages paid in places like Dubai
and work out their spending power in Nigeria.
They do not look at comparing the wages with the cost of living in those countries!

Bro dat was a mistake from the agent who applied for the Visa on my behalf. I intend travelling a week b4 my start date bt the visa issued to me was a week after my start date. And dats where my question comes in. Hope you understand.

The agent wrote that my intended date of arrival is 18th Feb, which is way past my start date and i never saw that, until after the visa was issued with the wrong dates.

What do i do nw.....what if they dnt correct it??

Have you contacted your school and asked for a delayed / deferred start !!
This is most important.
Or are you only messing about asking strangers on here?

Well,i have never experienced a phone search at any Port of Entry. Not sure what my reaction would be if it eventually happened tho'.

but we have heard of people having their phone examined and having problems.

As for what your reaction would be!

A friend of mine who i am applying for this visitor visa with for an exam just had a transfer of 400k to his account from a friend. Actually he asked for it. He has had a similar transfer of 600k in the past; 6months ago. Closing balance 800k. Its his salary account showing various salary inputs. Will this fly and with what explanation?

It will not fly unless you can explain why the deposits are there.
They will just look like boosting your account.

You will probably have to do business on line with a company before they will trust you, rather than rushing over there.
It is a government crackdown on problem boys from Nigeria and other countries.

It is very very simple!

YOU must do some research and contact a company in Vietnam that you will do business with.
Search on line and contact them.
When they are sure that you are a genuine trader then they will issue a letter to obtain a visa.

You are facing the problem of so many Yahoo Yahoo boys going to countries for business then trading in illegal drugs stealing and 419 scams.

Your question is not important enough to be front page, just a little issue for one person.

Are you trying to be too clever for your own good?
Keep your information short and clear.
If you write a long winded, complicated document they will only have time to quickly scan read it and make a decision.

You had little money, not enough for airfare and presumably tuition and accommodation when you started this folly.
Now what money you had has been wasted and probably lost.
This should be a lesson to wiser people to do a budget before starting to spend.

Getting somewhere and waiting for manna to fall from heaven is NOT a plan!

When choosing a city to visit in the U.K. London is the favorite for first time visitors.
Many major tourist attractions are there, and VO understands that.
If you pick other cities like Birmingham or Manchester then make VERY sure that you have a convincing story of where you will visit as a tourist.

Letters, E-mails or bills.
Keep all documents detailing costs and any payments you make up front.
Be able to give details of your finance and ability to pay all your bills.
Have this ready IF ASKED at point of entry.
Along with visa and passport.

Then you should have no problem
