PoliticsRe: South East/south South, Watch These Men: Amechi, Okorocha, Oshimole! by Wsdm: 7:08pm On Oct 01, 2013
*In 1999 the North voluntarily gave power to the Southern people.
* In 2003 their elites rigged the Northern votes for Obassanjo against Buhari( their brother).
* In 2007 The south reluctantly handed over to a week Northern president.
* In 2011 the so-called G7 governors betrayed a Northern consensus arrangement to vote for Jonathan in PDP primaries and went ahead to give him the more than 24% votes he needed to win in the general election against Buhari a Northern aspirant again.
* Through out the contest between a Northern Candidate and a southern candidates, who ever intends to vote for integrity in the south is considered as a traitor.
* Now governors who are serierly witch hunt by thesame person they all voted out of proportion for are looking for a better options for themselves and their people and all you all have to say is traitors!
* What do you expect from the Northern governors openly supporting GEJ to be called?
With the above you can deduce who is patriotic in Nigeria between the North and the South.

warrior01: Abeg, park well jor. Is anybody stopping you or your paymaster from running against him in 2015. If you guys feel you you can do better than him why can't you come out and equally canvass for votes or are we not in a democracy anymore?
We are talking about an issue of conscience and this is what you have to say. If the president could lie openly like this what else are we going to believe in him. Even though he is eligible to run in 2015 but the fact available to us now is that he IS NOT TRUTHFUL.
Compare this to Buhari who said he will not stand for election again. When his body language was pointing contrary to his promise he said; "my people are asking me to run, if they choose my as their flag bearer i will run". He didn't lie that he never made such statement. Can you now compare the integrity of this man to GEJ?
PoliticsRe: Muslim Countries Are Not Happy by Wsdm: 6:24am On Oct 01, 2013
Rhemar: I still can understand why muslims have been responsible for most of the terror attack all around the globe or how does one explain why a supposed religion of peace should continue to be a threat to the peace of the world and we are not left out of this religious madness even in Nigeria.
Go and check the meaning of terrorism and tell me what Americans did in Iraq, Libya,Afghanistan is not terrorism. Each time Muslims are attacked and they retaliate, you call it terrorism. Islam does not permits aggression but permits retaliation when attacked. If you like you call it terrorism. You people were burn cowards and so you will end. So who ever does an act of aggression is not doing so in the name of Islam.

sambroose: what if I tell you that I'm an atheist
There is no differences between an atheist and a Christian to me.
*They both disbelieve in One God.
* They both have the same uniform( dressing unclad)
* They both attack the Muslims.
* They share the same social lives.
* Drunkenness is not taboo to any of them. Who even know if you are already drunk now.
... And so on and so fort.

Saudi Arabia.
Kuwait
U.A.E(DUBAI). And many more.
Mind you that all international indexes used in measuring human development, Nigeria is far bellow all the countries you have mentioned above except Somalia. My question to you also are:
*Is Nigeria a Muslim country?
*With all the populations of Christians in the world, why is there no country of the world using Cannon laws to govern their affairs but prefer the human imperfect laws in preference to Biblical laws?
* why is it that all forms of indescencies and great evil( homosexual, prostitution, armed robbery) are symbols of the communities who call themselves Christians?
* Why are the majority of the atheists of the world were Christian? Is it that when they are tired of hearing lies against God they tend to disbelieve in God?
Every religious adherents have something they abhor in the other faith, so take note of that.
PoliticsRe: Frustration As Netanyahu Pleads With Obama Over Iran by Wsdm: 6:02pm On Sep 30, 2013
But the Americans have said several times that they have permanent interest and no permanent friends. That is why i laugh at Nigerian Christian who are always pro- Americans especially when they bombard or plan to bombard any Muslim countries. They fail to understand that America's greatest friend is Saudi Arabia( a Muslim country). I don't know when Mugabe becomes a Muslim( America is fighting him because of their selfish economic interest). North Korea too and So many countries that go against their economic dominance are far an anemy to them than the Muslim world.

validplanet: the president should know that boko haram is political. they simply dont want him in aso rock. thats why they r killing innocent people. and the students that were killed yesterday was to hear his response at the media chat. he has a difficult decision to make. either to provide maximum security for nigerians or vacate the office.
Period to your last sentence! If Jonathan is not benefiting (political sympathy) or otherwise from the boko haram menace, it will have been over long ago.

victorD3: How can less than 30 CURUPT people force someone to sign to be in office for a tenure onbehalf of over 160 million good Nigerians?

Btw who would have said NO seating on such hot seat? Obasanjo even kneeled, and cried for Atiku (his deputy).
The same way the rudeness of one man is making over 160millions Nigerians paying N97/L for fuel. One person can really make a huge different depending on the power he wields.
PoliticsRe: I Don't Know If Boko Haram Leader Is Dead Or Alive - GEJ by Wsdm: 6:25am On Sep 30, 2013
mikeansy: Not sure what is wrong with what the President said

I will rather be worried if the President openly claims Shekau is dead but it turns out he is alive or if he claims Shekau is alive but actually he is dead

There is no confirmed intelligence on whether Shekau is dead or alive, the President can beautify what he said, Obama would have said the same in better language or maybe said less but the substance will still mean the same. i.e The Nigerian Government don't know if Shekau is dead or alive and I don't think there is any shame in saying that.

until America intercepted a phone call by Al-Kuwaiti, US and all of its intelligence thought Osama Bin Laden lived in the mountains between Pakistan and Afghanistan. In fact there were campaigns where America threw bombs on those mountains and some people also suggested its possible Osama died in those bombings. It was this intercepted phone calls that led America to run an immunization programme in Abbottabad while spying who Al-Kuwaiti was working for before they realized it was Osama himself who lived in the mansion where he was killed.

In essence almighty America did not even know the lead they were chasing?

Fighting terrorism is not easy, picking holes in the President's every response is perhaps what is fuelling this terrorism. Some people believe that they can bomb the country enough to make the President look weak so that he can either be forced out or impeached. This strategy must not be encouraged by finding fault in the efforts of the security agencies. It is time for us as Nigerians to support our country against terrorism. What defeats terror is not just the guns and armoured tanks but the people's resolve to say NO WE SHALL NOT BE INTIMIDATED IN THE FACE OF YOUR WICKEDNESS.
The president himself cast the first doubt when he is consistently SEEN in destabilizing the country through violent and undemocratic means:
*1st October bombing- Henry Okar's confession.
* NGF elections saga- the president recognised a clear loser as the winner.
* 5 lawmakers( the president loyalists) tried to impeach a speaker with 27 supporters.
* Larkadiasical attitude towards curbing violence in opposition states in order to militarize it Nassarawa state a case study.
* fighting hook and crook with Ameachi his perceived political enemy.
* Undemocratically depriving Sylvia(an incumbent governor) to contest PDP primaries.
* leaving and employing known thieves in his cabinet.
* Handling oil thieves with kidgloves because of ethnicity.
HONESTLY, THE PRESIDENT IS A JOKE.

Saint Chukz: All what you have said is Partly rubbish and a Quarter sense...!!! If the sort of scientific advancement in the middle east and far east is the one we are witnessing in the mode of Nuclear enrichment and proliferation of mass weapons of destruction (Iran and North Korea readily comes to mind) then...that's retrogressive advancement in my own opinion. Are you going to tell me that western education didn't contribute to the saving of this child (at least even the West's most basic equipments such as X-ray and scan machines must have been deployed in that hospital to examine this child)? If you have failed to recognize this, but have rather choose to be sick (you should check yourself into an Afghan hospital if you like) about the West's invasion of the country, then sorry is your name because you are a "BLOODY" boko haram apologist.
Educational systems both western and eastern compliments each other as no system is completely infallible. They all have their adv. And disadv. Meanwhile weapons of mass destruction is a product of the west.
I don't insult people anyway, but just trying to broaden your breast/insight.

Decryptor: Good One! Kudos to the Afghan Doctor and a lesson to all Taliban and Boko Haram apologists. You can't beat western education...if the doctor did not go to school and join AK-47 wielding youths to chant Allahu-Akbar and "Death to America", this feat would never have been attained.
Western education is not the only system of education in the worlds. The Asia and the middle east are growing in scientific advancement but have their own system of education different from the west. Make your research very well and understand that scientific advancement can be achieved without western education. Just to clarify you, i am not boko haram apologist.

micklplus: Yes, he is old!
Again, US and britain poking their noses in another man's palaver!

The queen can rule forever, bah? An African leader cannot! The west has to define democracy to us in africa, right?
Even when we resist the western manipulation of our policy, destabilising our polity and coveteously stealing our natural resources blind, they sanction us and call us " rebel"

Na wah, all the countries the super powers have invaded, "helped" and intervened, what good has come out of them?

So far so good, Mugabe has not done anything wrong, he was elected democratically and his people voted him so, the harassment officers from the west should prove that, the election was rigged, they should come show us his people didn't vote him, they should show that, mugabe didn't follow constitutional provisions as per election matters in zimbabwe otherwise, they should zip their leaking mouths and face their businesses in their countries
Thank you especially the reference you made to the Queen. If they so love democracy, why supporting the coup in Egypt. The earlier we realise that these people are the problems of the world the better for us. Oh they are so mean!

R.I.P to the dead. But has the military not really failed in this war. It is not enough to tag any atrocity to boko haram in order to cover up you incompetence. Boko haram or not, your work there is to avert such situation. People are dying because they have trust in the military if not most of them would have relocated long ago. So the military should just accept defeat and ask people to leave these places or dance to the tune of the insurgent.

You have reduced the money spent on fertilizer from 25b to 6b.
You have also increased subsidy payments from 245b to 2.6 trillion. After increasing fuel price from 65 naira to 97 naira, you are still paying fuel subsidy of 945b.
You have also increased oil theft to 365b per month.
Did you tell Obama that your senators earns more than him?

PoliticsRe: Okogie On 2015: Don’t Run, Jonathan, Don’t... by Wsdm: 8:32am On Sep 22, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Nonsense! If not for anything, for the mere fact that Boko Haram and other DESTRUCTIVE elements said GEJ must not seek re-election, GEJ MUST now seek re-election. GEJ must go for his CONSTITUTIONALLY guaranteed second term even if it means balkanising the country. There's nothing any EVIL group, power mongers or sycophants can do about it.

Where were these evil merchants when IBB ruled for 8 years without the consent of Nigerians? Where was Boko Haram when Abacha ruled for 5 years (just about 1 year after the 8 year rule of IBB) and was about making himself civillian president before death came calling? From 1979 till 1999, we had an unbroken chain of northern head of state/president (save for the less than 1year rule of Shonekan). That is a period of about 20 solid years. Why didn't the southern part of country make the country ungovernable or create its version of Boko Haram? Nonsense!

GEJ contesting is no longer about personal ambition. It is now about showing some people that they cannot climb to power on the back of terror and blood shed. It is now about proving to some people that other parts of the country are ALSO born to rule the country.

The president of Nigeria is the president of EVERY part of Nigeria. He is not only the president of Boko Haram troubled states like Borno and Yobe. He is also the president of the relatively peaceful states like Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra, Delta, Imo, Abia, Cross River, Lagos, Ekiti, etc. He also has responsibilities to Nigerians in those relatively peaceful states in terms of infrastructural development, job creation, health, education, etc.

As for the Boko Haram troubled states, the president has discharged his constitutional responsibilities to them, as much as possible within the limits of high insecurity in those places. Work on certain sections of Kano-Maiduguri road project has been stalled as we speak, not because of lack of funds but because of Boko Haram. Same applies to PH-Maiduguri railway project. Under GEJ govt we've seen a situation where even when govt puts money on the table for project execution, projects are stalled in north due to Boko Haram. Who then do we blame? Those funds should be diverted to address the needs of relatively peaceful parts of the country. Govt has also deployed troops and declared SOE. If those are not enough, and if the violence will not stop except GEJ steps down, then GEJ can NEVER step down. He can NEVER forgo his right to seek re-election. We'll see who gets tired of the violence.

Has anyone noticed that the Borno youths (civillian JTF) who got tired of the killings, took their own destiny in their hands and fought to push back Boko Haram, have not received ANY word of commendation or appreciation from ANY of the prominent northern leaders (political or religious)? Yeye dey smell!

Note: The WORST evil people can do after reading this post is to attack the messenger (me). I'm ready and already used to their attacks. So lets go!
My comment shall only focus on the opening word of you statement; " nonsense". Are you referring to that revered man or who? Have you lost all your sense of HUMILITY because of Jonathan? What shall be your lot in case he did'nt win or even wins and leave by 2019? Even Muslims are not allowed to throw such hard word on such calibre of religious leader.
