Reelectbuhari:I also noticed there was no Igbo entrepreneur on the entourage. The only Igbo of note there (the meek and scared Emefiele) has been bullied to the back of the crowd while Dangote and Tinubu are in front to represent the face of Nigerian business and corner anything coming to pockets, friends or region! You see why i say any Igbo supporting this wicked Buhari and APC gov't is a bastard! Any Igbo supporting 'one Nigeria' that's being held together primarily for the benefit of the core muslim north and Hausa/Fulani elite even before others can get a look in....any naive and gullible Igbo that's in support of this lie called Nigeria is a grade one efulefu! Buhari knows exactly what he's doing, and it's only discerning peeps that can see through his fake smiles and token gestures of 'fairness'! I keep on telling my people that others are stealing their legacy, birthright and destiny, but they're too blind to see it, or too greedy to care! |
IPOB is never and has never been the problem of Ndigbo! Our major problem as a people is the enemy within, like this one that somehow claims to be privy to all that was discussed in the confines of the Oval office! |
shervydman:That's exactly why i ain't gonna buy a ticket! ![]() |
Mariangeles:Can you imagine! The country that produced the likes of Zik, Soyinka and Chimamanda....is this the best we could find for president? The worst part is that he's threatening to do another 4 years! God help us! |
Ojiofor:I'm guessing he's stopped taking his medication! ![]() |
Ofuzo:I used to watch a programme (on discovery channel i think it was) EXTREME MAKEOVER..HOME EDITION. What struck me was how they build their houses in the US: they use wood, panels, metal, plywood, etc, instead of the blocks and cement we use in Nigeria. Spyder may know better about the cost implications of the two choices, but i think a house built with blocks and cement would be more expensive. Even if this is the case, i'd still prefer good old, trusty blocks and cement to flimsy wood and panels. I would imagine (given the ferocious tropical thunderstorms we have in southern Nigeria) that it's not beyond the realms of possibility for such a house built of wood to be blown away in a thunderstorm while i'm tucked up in bed, leaving me shivering, drenched and exposed to the elements! With blocks and cement i can sleep soundly with two eyes closed! Another thing is FIRE! Watching news reports of forest fires in the US, i notice how easy it is for the fire to quickly take hold and burn down their houses to cinders, esp' in dry places like California. Now if the building were built with blocks and cement, it would be harder and take a much longer time for the fire to spread. |
Davido is clinging on to her like he doesn't wanna let go. Noticed the guy behind him is pulling up his sagging pants! ![]() |
Watching Teknos' video brought home the enormity of the challenge we face not just in the SE, but Nigeria in general. You hear Governors talk of how they want to build the next Dubai in their states yet they can't get the basics right first! I'm happy i'm not the only one banging on about the lack of trees and equal lack of a consideration for aesthetics in our cities and towns. |

The welcoming committee has arrived. ![]() |
Paperwhite:They really are a nasty lot aren't they? ![]() The most annoying thing about them is how they arrogate the toga of saintliness and moral rectitude to themselves while blaming all the woes of Nigeria on GEJ and PDP! |
hisgrace090:He either stole it from his politician dad (who may not even know the money is missing), or he may be helping his dad launder it....maybe they plan to buy a property in London. |
Alariiwo:I personally would love that to happen. Hopefully, all these 'one Nigeria' deluded Igbo would finally wake up and smell the coffee! You think the presidency of Nigeria is the be-all-end-all for Ndigbo, like it is with you guys who think of nothing else? You can take your presidency and shove it! |
horsepower101:You're 100% in order asking for pics and updates on the ongoing construction works at the airport. Asking for pics and updates doesn't mean you're saying providing captive gas supply to power industrial clusters and constructing new roads are still not important. The MOU for the airport was signed more than a year ago, and it's a three year project so we have two more years to go. Also, when Obiano was campaigning for a second term they used the airport for campaign, and i remember there's a youtube clip showing a gov't official (during the campaign) conducting an interview against the backdrop of bulldozers clearing and grading the site for the proposed airport. So yes, we all would like to see updates. |
FisifunKododada:You must be confusing Bianca at 15 with your mama at 15 and the funny business she got up to with the family mechanic who was aged 45 at the time, and hung like a donkey! |
Jlow2:The one of Ebonyi is strange. They were registering up to 20 billion during the time of the Elechi admin', but for some funny reason, for the past two years now they've not done above 7 billion (if my memory serves me right). I don't know what's going on...whether the Umahi gov't is deliberately under-reporting their figures for whatever reason, or whether the revenue is just being stolen on a massive scale by gov't officials. |
uuzba:All you've stated is valid. However, even with the present unacceptable dispensation there's a certain bar level states shouldn't fall below, and Imo and Abia have fallen below it! Both states have had useless and visionless gov'ts from 1999 to date! |
hisgrace090:Abia and Imo...don't forget Imo! I'm quite good at sieving the truth from all the hype and spin the otimpkus of the gov'ts in these states churn out on a daily basis, and i think it's very annoying and frustrating that two states that ordinarily should be in the top 8 states economically are lagging behind like this! Dr M I Opkara, Dee Sam Mbakwe and Dr Akanu Ibiam would be spinning in their graves! |
Looks like the paid mercenaries didn't bother to turn up! |
Chiwude:You're talking nonsense! Maybe this is even an alternate moniker for one of those Igbo-hating mischief makers...or else why would you leave the fool that started the argument on this thread (by thinking he can insult Mazi Kanu and by extension all those murdered by the bigot-in-chief) but instead turn to face those responding to his madness? |
BabaRamota1980:You're rambling mate! Fact of the matter is that the 'owners of Nigeria' were not threatened by all the Yoruba guys you mentioned there because, as you stated, there were limits they were either scared to go beyond or just didn't have the capacity for! Their own 'agitation' started and ended at making mouth, or erroneously thinking that they could get some form of justice from the rigged Nigerian judicial set-up in order to set their people free! The owners of Nigeria looked on in amusement, safe in the knowledge that these guys can only make mouth! And when it looked like they were starting to get a bit too big for their boots, the Oligarchs then conspired to teach them a bitter lesson by using the same rigged judicial system to lock them up! Fela and Fawehinmi know what i'm on about. You talk of Nigeria not being 'conducive' for certain things. That's the talk of a lily-livered, yellow-bellied coward! If Britain had waited for a 'conducive' moment would they have been able to repel Hitlers advance at Dunkirk? If South Africans had waited for a 'conducive' moment would they have been able to defeat apartheid? If Barack Obama had waited for a 'conducive' moment would he ever have been president of the US? You see Nigeria with all its purported potentials still groping in the dark (and on the verge of imminent collapse) while countries and city states we were better than in the 60s are forging ahead and breaking into the exclusive 1st world club...you see all this, and you think we can still afford a couple more decades to faff about because Nigeria is not yet 'conducive' to be asked a few hard questions. Just when will the situation be 'conducive'...is it when the 'owners of Nigeria' say so? Even if Jesus Christ were to come down from heaven and champion the cause for either structural change or dissolution of Nigeria as we know it, something tells me that guys like you will walk up to him and say, "hang on a minute...just what do you think you're playing at mister....better mind your bizness and go back to heaven as Nigeria is not yet 'conducive' for all this your radical ideas"! Sacrilegious i know, but i've come to expect such from you lot! I tire for una! |
Nigerian youths are not really sure of what they want. They're more like sheep....easily led by moneybags and the political and clerical elite. They face whichever side their bread is buttered. Of course there are exceptions to this norm, but they're quite negligible to be able to make much of a difference. |
arinzeejikonye:Let's get one thing straight, you are not my nwanne....not in a million years! Maintain your lane and don't quote me again!!!! |
Buhari wins it by a mile! Abacha as bad as he was doesn't even come close! |
Lipscomb:More to the point: Buhari knows nothing about anything....period! ![]() |
TundeBricklayer:Nice one! But i think it's best we keep the champagne on ice until we see appreciable progress on the project. We've seen many false dawns with so many big-ticket projects in the South East that some measure of circumspection is called for at this point. Anyone with updates on the airport being constructed? A year has now gone in the three years duration given, so we should start seeing something on ground by now! |
horsepower101:Thank you. That guy was starting to get on my nerves! ![]() |
asha80:Now what we have are mainly touts and thugs as godfathers who bankroll and decide who will or won't win elections. Sadly, the people they prop up or bring forward as the anointed candidate are, more often than not, not the best choice. The chosen one is just the one the godfathers are most comfortable with, who they think can easily be manipulated, who can give them influence when decisions are being made, and one who can guarantee them a 'return on their investment' if you know whara mean! ![]() |
SalamRushdie:I'll even go further to say 'go up to the mofo concerned and punch his lights out'! In foreign land without their dagger and fulani army to back them up, they're weak as water! ![]() |
rolams:If i know Dino well, as we speak he's preparing the song on his hospital bed. It will be a chart topper for sure! ![]() |
Bodies are being pilled up on to trucks for burial in mass graves. Whole villages and hamlets are being ransacked and sacked. Rev Frs are being shot together with their flock as they prepare for mass. Expatriate workers and Nigerians are being kidnapped for ransome. All this is happening before our very eyes, yet this man is going all over America, telling them that not only is Nigeria safe and open for business, but that Nigerians get tucked-in in bed each night and within seconds are sound asleep, snoring and smiling contently as they dream sweet dreams....all is well with the world! ![]() |
He's hoping APC will rig it for him in 2019....kinda like they tried to do in Bayelsa, and succeeded doing in Imo and Rivers (senatorial)! These people have a lot of cheek, thinking they're in with a chance in the SE and SS come 2019! Of course Edo state is a different kettle of fish altogether.....that state has been fully arewanized and captured! |
