kennygee:Well he could consider a career in wrestling. The WWF could put his 'slamming' skills to good use in the ring! ![]() |
There's no 'unity' in Nigeria! If there was then we wouldn't have been hearing stuff like 'presidency must return to the *north' (of course *north in this instance is code for core north)....it shouldn't have mattered from which side of the country the president comes from. Do you hear Ghanaians screaming that the presidency should come to their own region or else blood of monkey and baboon will mix together...or whatever it was Buhari was supposed to have said!? I think he's confusing 'unity' for 'forcing the country together through the barrel of a gun....by fire or by force'! This is the raison d'etre for the existence of the northern political and military elite! |
Evathyst:Oh, so now it's a premeditated attack on Hillary is it? It's alarming the way you lot are jumping on this issue and trying to make something out of nothing...especially in light of all that shithole of a country is actually facing! Chimamanda is a feminist! If you don't like her for that then simply ignore her. Alternatively, you could make yourself as prominent as her so as to counteract her message by spreading your own 'gospel' to the world of just how good Nigerian men treat women.....that should go down a storm! ![]() |
flokii:You come across as some nasty, insecure bigot! The way some of you have jumped on this issue makes it look like your hatred and jealousy for Chimamanda has been simmering for long, and you've finally found what you think is an outlet to vent your spleen and spill your bile! What's your ethnicity? I suspect where you're from can explain a lot of this 'Chimamanda baggage' some of you have taken it upon yourselves to carry! Just for the record, i think Chimamanda is a beautiful and intelligent woman...a credit to the Igbo race, and i'm mighty proud of her! ![]() |
Commendable effort. They should also consider aesthetics and sanitation as well as the durability of the completed roads. Watching these clips, it struck me how easy it is to make Onitsha a beautiful city. These areas are the ime-ogbe Onitsha. With nice clean roads, sidewalks, underground drainages or covered gutters, and trees lining the streets, you could be forgiven if you thought you were strolling down the streets of a city in Europe. |

tayot1:But didn't they say that boko haram has been technically defeated...and that Buhari is doing well in the area of security, so who are the soldiers exchanging bullets with? ![]() |
Wolexdey:E go do you like film when, come 2019, the man 'wins' on the back of the hordes of almajiris, illegal immigrants, sheep, cows and a few efulefu southern judases that will vote for the incompetent schmuck! ![]() |
That the site of construction firm that constructed the two bridges
Good. So they should remove their equipment ASAP and return the area back to the pristine conditions they met it in. |
investnow2013:If the lake is going to be integral to the running and success of the new hotel then they need to tidy it banks.....no unsightly stuff like that area in the pic that looks like a mechanics workshop or loads of containers. The property next to it with the well kept lawn should be what they should be aiming for around the entire lake. |
Organs:It's more than that...well, as far as this forum is concerned! There seems to be a concerted effort to prowl news websites looking for any negative news on Ndigbo (whether this gay stuff, a horrific accident or a suicide) to post on nairaland. How it works is that the news is rushed to nairaland, a moderator then takes over and rushes with glee to post in on the front page and then they all sit back to enjoy the posts that will pour in from the usual Igbo haters. And they never forget to mention the Igbo state concerned...just to signal to Igbo haters that 'food is ready'! Take a look at the front page now and see the negative stuff on Ndigbo taken there within a space of two or three hours. But if it's something positive posted on Ndigbo, you'd have to beg, threaten or pester the moderator concerned before he/she takes it to front page. |
valentineuwakwe:See this Igbo wannabe! Assuming Nigeria survives beyond 2019, you actually think Ndigbo will be better off with another 4 years of this Igbo hating bigot? You evil lot have conspired to keep the presidency of this country from us from after the uncivil to date, yet somehow you think we're so desperate that we can't wait another 4 years? Just where is all this sudden 'love and care'for Ndigbo coming from? Ndigbo will be a million times better off having anybody but Buhari take over Aso Rock come 2019...even if we have to wait a thousand years to be president! What we have lost in relation to what some other regions and ethnic groups have gained under this evil man means that for every 4 others are gaining under Buhari, Ndigbo are losing 2, so after a 8 year Buhari presidency it would take us about 16 years just to get back to the status we had in relation to others before may 2015 (that's when he was first sworn in wasn't it?)! |
investnow2013:Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, it's been removed. |
investnow2013:How did that big ship get there? With proper dredging and with no political interference, Onitsha could easily have been a port of final destination for ships coming in from abroad. |
Handsomegod:Spot on! B But the question i tend to ask myself is where the fuc/k were the Igbo politicians and gov't appointees (either from PDP or APC) when the useless rail plan was being drawn up? You see what i mean when i say that besides the wickedness of outsiders, that our useless elite are also a big part our our problem. I remember Ken Nnamani saying why he moved to APC was so Ndigbo can have a voice when decisions are being made at the centre or at APC. Total bunkum!!! This is always the excuse these lazy, greedy, self-centred politicians give when they want to gallivant from one party to another just to protect their corrupt behind or to be in with a chance of stealing more. What did Ndigbo gain when these muthafuckers were in PDP as chairmen of the party, Senate President, House of Reps Speaker, etc? This useless rail plan was drawn up with links to Daura, Niger and other places that means fuc/k all to someone like me, while in turn ignoring prominent cities and towns in Alaigbo like Nsukka, Afikpo and Nnewi, and someone wants me to join them and shout 'one Nigeria'? Notice the northern university town of Zaria was included while they totally forgot Nsukka...this is Zaria that has gotten more than its fair share of federal projects and institutions, while Nsukka is left with just the university. This is why i'm finally convinced that the only way Ndigbo and Alaigbo can reach our full potential and be able to compete with the likes of Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, and even little Rwanda...the only way this is possible is by a full and comprehensive restructuring of the polity so everyone can answer their papa name and control their own resources. And i don't mean the watery suggestions of restructuring being bandied about now that would still give a large amount of control to the envious and wicked bastards who since the late 60s have been plotting how to marginalise us and steal our resources and destiny to their own regions and pockets...i don't mean that type of restructuring. It's either proper restructuring or the only other alternative is for us all to go our separate ways! Enough of this nonsense! |
Nice wide sidewalk provided for pedestrians in Abakaliki. The open gutter could have been covered though.

achi4u:One route to go is to list your company on the stock exchange. That way you'd be forced to do things differently and even though you may hold controlling stock in the company, you still have to answer to a higher regulatory authority and your shareholders. I'd love INNOSON to list his company on the stock exchange. He can even use it to raise say an extra $100 million for expansion. It's high time he expands his factory at Nnewi and also spreads to other West African countries. Dangote took loans from many banks to build his refinery in Lagos as well as expand his cement business to other African countries, and part of the reason he can access finance (besides being close to the corridors of power) is that the lenders are satisfied with corporate governance in his conglomerate. Notice the way GTB and EFCC treated Dr Chukwuma when they claimed he reneged on the conditions for which the loan he borrowed was given? He was rough-handled and his dear wifey even got a slap for his efforts! Now if his company had been a PLC, listed on the Stock Exchange, then the bank and EFCC would not deal with him directly but would have to deal with INNOSON PLC as a corporate entity that can sue and be sued. |
pascal558:Same way 20 years ago we were forming developed and sophisticated, laughing at the likes of Rwanda that just came out of a civil war. Then we pointed at them with a smug look on our faces, saying these uncivilised bonobos are letting Africa down. Look who's laughing now! |
QueenOfNepal:I think you meant to say emancipate, as in they should emancipate themselves from mental slavery, for none but themselves can free their own minds. |
IPOB and Reno Omokri..two fish bones firmly lodged in Buharis' throat that he can't seem to cough out! ![]() |
SIRmanjar:And they're landlocked to boot! Makes you wonder if we're actually cursed! ![]() |
I think where we need to improve on is our mode of running our businesses. The days of the likes of Okoro and sons Nig Ltd, or Ikenna Enterprises, where its all about one man running the show and being a sort of business emperor should give way to businesses that adhere strictly to the basic rudiments of corporate governance and accounting. This was what made Ekene Dilli Chukwu fade into oblivion once the Patriarch of the family Chief Ilodibe passed on. A coy that ordinarily should have grown to be a world-wide conglomerate like the likes of Ford, Disneyland and Coca-Cola. It should naturally have progressed into rail, air and sea transportation ...serving int'l destinations, but was stuck in gear one, and has now faded out of contention. Thankfully, Igwe Orizu and Dr Uzodike of Cutix cables are preaching the same gospel. |
Interesting Youtube video on the entrepreneurial spirit of Nnewi: How Nnewi became the Nigerian town with largest millionaires per capita. This assertion is according to FORBES oh, b/4 people start wanting to argue with me! This is exactly why i'm proud to be Igbo. A people who succeeded through dint of hard work and perseverance, and not through dubious awards of oyel blocks, unmerited billion dollar gov't contract, or through using their being in power or having access to power to steal and buy up the entire city. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCrUVZI_gTI |
babaolofin:I wouldn't even mind the Holy See using some unorthodox means of getting rid of that scoundrel! This is where the Popes of medieval Europe would have come into their own...just sign a Papal decree ordering the Knights Templer to lead an army to go sack the entire core muslim north once and for all! ![]() |
Karlman:Word! |
StaffofOrayan:Tinubu apologise? It will be a cold day in hell!As we speak he's busy doing the needful to get Buhari a second term in office come 2019 and you're here hoping for apology! ![]() |
doctokwus:Still having those wet dreams bros? ![]() What a difference 3 years can make! ![]() |
slimfit1:Even the name sef no follow! It sounds like the name of a kids toy airplane....super tucano 2000! |
kernel507:I don't know what these people expect to achieve by just wailing and giving useless press interviews....in Nigeria for that matter! It would have been different if they were in a civilised country that respects the rule of law. Their people have been slaughtered for years in industrial numbers and they're making useless press statements! A window of opportunity presented itself for them to take the bull by the horns and set their people free, but they were busy doing 'one Nigeria' and chanting sai baba! They should wait for God to come down from heaven and physically clobber their enemies into submission for them! ![]() |
Probably under the categories of 'viagra' and 'grandpa porn'! ![]() |
seunmsg:Nice one! Why not go the whole hog and empty the ECA to buy a golden motorbike for Yusuf? ![]() |
