obitee69:We get it wrong here. Its too late to call off a wedding but it is not too late to call off a marriage. Its too late to call off a mere social party but it will not be too late to get a divorce. Thats not right, that is hypocritically wrong and an unjust stereotype. If he wants to continue with a wedding because invites have been sent out, hall hired and rice and beans ready, that must be because he would want to stay it out without regrets. The basis of this union now already discovered to be dotted with lies and deceit, are indicators and a pointer to a failed or unhappy marriage. There are faultlines that ought not be neglected just because of a "social jamboree" called wedding already planned. |
Oh! Oh! That must be a new flourishing trend for those SARS boys. A client who deals with motorcycles parted with 100K just weeks back to get released. Same commando style, they took him away from his Ebutte Metta office on the allegation that a trans-border motorcycle robber has his phone number in his phone. They asked for the 100K and that was the end of all that "huge set up", as I am now beginning to perceive. |
NwaAmaikpe:It is worrying how that became more important to you than the fact that a human being like we are has died untimely leaving grieves in the heart of his mother and other family members who are also as human as we are. |
Such a tragedy. I am deeply traumatised by this news. I empathise with the Onuekwusi family particularly. |
Hian. The report says one of the two co-ordinators of the cult, Ojukaye is currently standing trial for murder. Murder is a capital offence and bail is not just granted to persons facing murder trial. Just wondering how a person said to be facing murder trial was free and "working from home". |
dessz:Very inhumane, utterly insensitive and completely insane. How come we play with everything these days, even the loss of a life and tragedies that befell others, which we are not exonerated from, doesn't move us. The almost boring "namechecking" joke without even a line of empathy for the dead is choking. |
How people could afford air tickets just to go on board to steal monies they didn't keep bewilds me. |
So sorry about that. |
OVI75:Just like that? Tell us more! |
Benjom:Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari |
Dalastically:The Pope is His Holiness, a Cardinal is His Eminence, an Archbishop is His Grace and a Bishop is His Lordship. |
adorablepepple:Na real social media and fake relationship. The poor girl sounded bitter and brutal though but it is also strange that someone's daughter is turning 20 and he goes on social media to put up messages and tag bloggers but not the birthday girl. He did not also call the girl and has forgotten her mother's name even. |
TSOM:Gbagam! Who is this? I like you. The nail got it on the head!!! |
GloriaNinja:Dont you think that even if he is a yahoo boy, it is far more better even for the innocent that the "criminal" is rather made to go through laid down process than the excesses of this kind in the hands of the so called "law enforcenent thugs", otherwise the innocent may once albeit coincidentally fall prey to the same fate. |
Wey dem Daddy Freeze and Cossy Orjiakor? Una "girl" don dey beg on the street. |
I would rather think that the Minister who presided over this wedding should have acted differently. Disregard the already prepared social jamboree and ask both to go home, think over it again and come back on Monday morning for a full consent marriage if need be. It's a long journey and it is not even in the interest of the man to proceed further with this woman, even if he had paid her school fees or whatever. What will you do with a reluctant partner in the journey of life? Can you carry on in this manner and for how long before you are weighed down completely? It could be frusturating. |
I find it difficult to depart this city anytime I visit. |
Launcher:Hahahahaha shebi? |
Mophasa:Jonathan referred to the Respondents and not the author. The Respondents cut across the country. David Mark and Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi are not "Afonja". Let's slow down on this now - usual ethnic chants. |
fergusen:I doubt if I should say you must hire a lawyer, but then such interface is at the Probate Registry of the High Court and might not be one you could grapple with if you are not in tune with court registry practices. The process could last between six months to three years as it is, depending on factors which might include "office practice" and potential queries especially after publication or at the point of verfication of sureties. |
chinex276:God have mercy, this sounds needful of deep thinking. |
[Hahahaha When you are not yet Orubebe.quote author=mennagina post=55387463]TBOSS Cannot win, we will not take it[/quote] |
I so much fear for the generation after this generation. We are on a very long free ride to dark alleys. |
Tazdroid:Opprobious! My Lord Oputa JSC could be rumbling in his grave for all she cares. His Lordship must have seen a bit of the diversion to this route through his own son, the father of daughter. |
Al Jazeera, hope you have their permission to share? ![]() |

gimbayaro:When you eventually read the post with some patience, you will observe op mentioned that the Toyota is a Corolla. In the picture there is only one Toyota Corolla, the other one is a Toyota but not a Corolla. |
Let me give you a candid advise, stop "carrying your wife along" as it relates to what you do for your brother and how you do them. You can call your brother up when you are in the office. You can do transfers into his bank account during work hours and do not need to have your wife know about that. I see no risk in that except you think she has good reasons why she wants to restrain you from helping your brother. Stop talking about your brother whilst she is near. Before her, act like he does not exist for the while and when opportunity calls remind her that tables turn most times and the one who receives could be in a position to give and the one who gives would be in the position to receive. |
Do collect the 700K first and if you are convinced you want to press further, we think you have a viable cause of action here and you could proceed to court. The Magistrate Court would have jurisdiction to handle this matter based on the volume of money you are seeking to recover and the subject matter of dispute too. We would be at your services if you consider our legal services necessary in this circumstance. ALP |
No, you got it wrong. Even the President go to public places of worship and hasn't distracted others to the point you insinuate. But again you can attend celebrity or high brow churches were class meets class and no one go no say una come sef. Otherwise you could run a chapel in your mansion. One dey Presidential villa even. If you could have clubs and studios indoor, why not a chapel? That is if you are really serious about your excuse. |
Mogidi:Can you be that shallow? Haven't you seen well educated persons taking up other vocations than their discipline. Someone read law in the UK and is now an "ordinary" clothe seller, what about that? |
Ama80:The woman beside Obj yesterday was Ms. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, the Chairperson of the African Union (AU). She was Minister of Health, then Home Affairs and then Foreign Affairs under three different South African Presidents- Mandela, Mbeki and Zuma before she took up her incumbent office. She was married to President Jacob Zuma until 1998 when they got divorced. |
