As President Kenyatta spoke those wisdom, I wondered what image of himself, President Buhari saw in the mirror. |
Ogbuji800:Buhari has less than five days to go and he would leave, so there would be no need for the exodus, except it is not really about Buhari. |
Penguin2:He had three projects in Anambra, Bayelsa and Kogi to commission today. Being not omnipresent, he couldn't have been at three places at the same time and he no more has days. Tomorrow is valedictory FEC and Thursday Tinubu's inauguration ceremonies will commence. Less of spite, let us not sound like never fulfilled people. The Bridge has finally been delivered after much years of no worth. |
Agadinaagwuofe:You have a point. |
plaindealer:I will like to have your own idea of what makes sense, maybe it will help me explain it better, but I have been in the courtroom for 15 years as a lawyer and could help you understand the process from the point of view of an active participant, that is, if that is what you are also interested in, to know more, and not just to troll. |
seanfer:Very hard. That's why it is certainly not an easy job as most people make it look. It is hard job. |
NzogbuNzogbu:Wow! Court matters are procedural. Witnesses are not permitted to go into the witness box until hearing dates are set. The matter is at the stage of pre-hearing, it is after that that hearing dates will be set. So his witnesses could not have been doing anything else than wait for the hearing dates. Those evidence are not thrown like stones. It is on hearing dates that witnesses go into the witness box to present those evidence. Just hope this is more broken down to details to help. |
Burna440:Look at the caption and you will see the phrase "Full transcript". That means this is a translated version. |
SwissMass:Don't be that illiterate. It is clearly stated that this is a transcript. A transcript in this sense bluntly suggests the discussion has been transcribed or otherwise translated from a different language into English. |
seanfer:That is not what this means. He is asking for a period of seven weeks within which he could put in his witnesses into the witness box and have them give evidence in chief, get cross examined and then be re examined where neccessary. That's what this is about. It is called hearing or trial dates. |
Felimax:You can imagine, a senior advocate of nigeria going to do what I couldn't do 13 years ago as a two year old lawyer. Money and power are indeed spirits. Even if a lawyer didn't know another lawyer has been briefed to represent a party, once he had announced his appearance you won't be right to rise to do that again, but an SAN knowing fully well a party is already being represented by some lawyers went to do that. |
Mayng01:Seven people actually died in that event. Take that to heart. How you have concluded from a distance on the efforts of the police to get at who did this is disturbing. |
madridguy:Yes, he is correct to be apt, it was a thug that did that. But you know like they say, the act of an agent is the act of his principal. A boy with no name could not have removed the cap on the head of the Attorney General of the Federation if he had not heard the heartbeat of a strongman. It is obvious Omisore sanctioned the act. He was there and saw no wrong in what his boy did and so, its just simple to say he did, except when you want to be particular with details. Even the eventual murder of Chief Bola Ige was also done by some young men, but again, it is obvious those young men were merely agents of some strong force. |
madridguy:Yes, true! He removed his cap and threw it up a tree. And that was actually a few weeks before Chief Bola Ige, SAN was then assassinated in Ibadan. |
Inclusion? When the outgoing vice president and speaker are from the south west. The president elect is from the same south west and the north west by your calculation will get deputy senate president and speaker even though the outgoing president is from the north west still. |
E no come work! |
tamdun:He likes colours. Most buildings he has done so far are painted in many colours like a nursery school wall. |
Aren't you such a silly idiot. You talk about your brother like he was a boy. If there were issues with his wife that he wanted you to know about he would have. All I see is malice and you wanting to get back for her ignoring you asshole. And the step you want to take is to prove that you are indeed an asshole. You arrest people with police for crimes and not because you thought you needed some form of an explanation. You won't be anywhere else but in the prison if everyone who needed an explanation from you arrested you. |
Some guys dem get heart! The VP elect is from Borno but Betara is undeterred. It takes enough strength to absorb such external pressure and act as though all odds are not against you. |
Elxandre:Honestly, our level of sensitivity here is highfalutin. You know I remembered "Nuns on the Run". That old English movie where two thieves went into a convent and masked as Roman Catholic Reverend Mothers to do nefarious things. You can imagine that kind here. Heaven for fall! |
FreeStuffsNG:Which one is BB boy from Ago Iwoye? Since when did actors start having such rights to redirect a script? The production crew determines what an act should represent in a movie. An actor is a sojourner on the set of a movie. |
Access Bank frustrated me yesterday. I transferred twice from my Zenith Bank to be able to make online payments. Money left my Zenith Bank account but never arrived my Access Bank. Until this morning, and that was following from emails to their complainant desk. |
Let your husband leave man ego and have a hearty man to man talk with that boy, before it is too late. Don't ignore these signs and I can say that again. He could be dealing a lot. He may only need understanding and assurance to panel back. Already he seemed to be a reclusive person. Reclusive persons are more easily depressed and could get suicidal. |
SpatialKing:Appointments of Permanent Secretaries are based on quota vacancy. When PS from igbo states retire, they would be replaced by others from that state. Each appointment is based on state and if a vacancy now exists in such state by reason of retirement. |
mrrandomguy:When you talk your ignorance becomes so obvious and you could be someone some people look upto. So you do not know that even in war there are rules. You think Russia could not have wiped out Ukraine in one hour. There are regulations as to warfare and there are war crimes too. |
Mercy seems to pick up languages easily. I was so impressed with her Igbo in a certain nollywood movie that I thought she was a natural born Igbo speaker. |
yinkus6750:NNPP has since replaced him with Rufai Hanga but INEC said no. Thankfully the Supreme Court this morning agreed with the Court of Appeal and the FHC earlier decision that since he left the party on his own, NNPP was right to replace him before the election and the replacement stands. INEC will have to comply with that order now. |
Amuluonyenaego:With what number of senators, just about six? Our expectations must be founded on substance nah. Even if that happens, such senate president will not enjoy his stay in office. LP doesn't also have a ranking senator with strong clout and national appeal too, who could do the kind of "Saraki Magic" and survive. |
MuchAdo:Who stopped anyone from voting him? But no one can choose for anyone else too. Bankole ran four years ago, there was no Labour Party to stop him. Ibrahim Obanikoro stopped him and that was not an issue, so what's this cry about. He got enough vote too except that someone else got more. |
sotall:Firstly, the senate president position is not an appointive position by the president. It is an elected position within the legislature which is a different arm of government. The president may have some influence to bear but he does not even have a vote in the election let alone the right of appointment. Secondly, Tinubu would not have taken a person from the south east or south south as his vice. Just as we complain about the religious inbalance in his ticket, that too would have created a regional inbalance. We may feel deprieved but we cannot continue to isolate ourselves as lepers. That's mumuish. We lost out on number one and two and they offer us number three and we refuse. So what then do we want? Bola Tinubu or APC do not owe Nigeria and so is also the offer of senate president position. It is ours to take and to know peace. |
Olasyke:It taste more like black water these days. You don't even get the dope feeling you use to have when you finish a bottle of coke. That genuine cocaine burst that makes one burp those days no dey dey there again. And fakes from the backyards abound too. |
triple996:That is just the point. Some idiots at the back were already crowding the poor young woman with those "Say yes, say yes!"chant, and it will take only a bold, daring person to defy that. I heard the young woman say towards the end of the video, "I told him not to do this". And the question then is, why do it and act surprised at her reaction. The answer is that he thought the crowd would help him muscle the woman into caving in. Poor thing. |
