https://gazettengr.com/tinubus-drug-business-was-over-10-years-ago-he-can-be-president-now-bayo-onanuga/ This post is highly misleading and criminally defamatory. There is nowhere in the article that the iconic media boss Bayo Onanuga said Asiwaju Bola Tinubu had a drug business. The court case was in 1993 and has been dispensed of. If Tinubu was a drug baron, he would have been sent to jail and not told to forfeit $400,000 which was for a different infraction for unpaid taxes. Period. The U.S. authorities even returned $1 million to Asiwaju Tinubu's U.S. bank accounts because he was not a drug pusher or drug baron! It was the irresponsible Gazette journalist that deliberately misled the public with the criminally false headline and put words into Bayo Onanuga's mouth. A big shame on all the ethnic bigots and posters here on this thread for peddling fake news and hate speech that will land you all in jail along with the very irresponsible Gazette journalists you are stupidly quoting! |

LASUs counterparts outside the country have exclusive campus cafes that sell snacks and coffee and cooked food daily.
They also have their shops that sell University merchandise to students such as monogrammed mugs, t-shirts, sweatshirts, pens and books.
With all that business, they still charge their students at least $10,000 for the cheapest course. True that. |

Isn't it worrisome that a UNIVERSITY is being applauded for opening a bakery when their counterparts outside the country are focused on researches and grants to increase IGR?

Politics › Re: Abuja Is Not A ‘no Man’s Land’, FCT Natives Insist by XAUBulls: 3:24pm On Apr 02, 2023 |
Naajjii: Natives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have condemned the description of Abuja as a ‘No Man’s Land’, insisting that the indigenes of Abuja have not bequeathed the ownership of their ancestral land to anyone.
The natives also said that the fact that the Federal Capital Territory was moved from Lagos to Abuja has not in any way gave their ancestral rights of the territory away, urging people describing the territory as a ‘no man’s land’ to have a rethink.
They regretted that the relocation of FCT to Abuja has led to the loss of their lands, political entitlements, and many other legitimate rights, insisting that it was time Abuja was accorded a state status so that natives can regain some political entitlements lost due to the current status of FCT The executive director of Abuja Original Inhabitants Youths Empowerment Organization (AOIYEO), Commandant Isaac David, while speaking during the natives’ first quarter townhall meeting in Kuje Area Council, said in the second quarter of the year, an FCT stakeholders Assembly will be launched.
David lamented that the massive land belonging to the natives has been confiscated by federal authorities and sold to buyers who now built malls and plazas on it, while the natives were pushed inside the hinterland.
“We have sat down at our level and we came up with a very good strategic platform that will give the window and the room to our stakeholders in the FCT to speak on why the government has the power to choose either to work with the indigenous people of FCT or not.
“FCT Stakeholders Assembly will nominate a credible stakeholder that you feel is powerful and credible and doable to assume that office as a chairman of FCT Stakeholders Assembly where the Minister of FCT may speak or any decision taken by the administration, the government will think twice knowing there are people, there are speakers in the land.
“There are owners of the land and any decisions that will be taken by the government, this forum will serve as the breach between the natives and the government and there’s no way a stranger will have something that has to do with FCT without considering the voice of the FCT Stakeholders Assembly,” he said.
Also, the senior special assistant on Special Duties to the Minister of FCT, Hajiya Farida Suleiman, lamented the alleged unfair treatment of the FCT natives.
“We have been grossly marginalised, abused, and our human rights have been tampered with. We do not have absolute representation for our people in the National Assembly, we do not even have a State Assembly because we are not a State. This breaks my heart daily.
“It is a struggle I have been in for the last 10 years of my life. I tell you today, we are facing extinction as we are today. Some people do not even know that we have natives in the city, they believe in the ‘No man’s land’ which hurts badly
"So today we are coming together to tell Nigerians that there are real owners of FCT and these real owners are coming out to say ‘enough is enough’. We are ready to take the leadership of our ancestral land, what is due to every Nigerian should be outrightly given to us as a people.
“This is a fundamental human rights issue, nothing more. It is not political, it is not traditional, it’s a fundamental human right as citizens of this country, as Nigerians and as human beings living in the globe,” she stated.
https://leadership.ng/abuja-is-not-a-no-mans-land-fct-natives-insist/?utm_source=&utm_medium=facebook A fantastic move by the Gbagyis and others who are the true indigenes of the FCT! Land is a very important resource in human history. The incoming Tinubu/ Shetima Presidency must move fast to correct this very embarassing anomaly caused by past Military rulers. This injustice is the reason why I will never buy/lease land in the FCT like some very greedy creeps have done as long as the indigenes have not been fully compensated for their ancestral lands all these years. LordGuru1: Bishop Oyedepo is a very wise Great Yoruba Man. You will see from his tone that he's not really taking what Obi said about the Election being a "Religious War" serious, and you should know why he has to show the inconsequential support. Matter-of-factly, Winners Chapel currently has much Igbo Members because Igbos love to go to wherever they would learn more on Business Success and Greatness.
Even if the Audio is real, only those that don't know his GOD-given Vision to help Men break Poverty Chains would blame Bishop Oyedepo. In many Countries not the World, Winners Chapel has the largest number of Poor People that joined and overtime had their Lives Completely transformed into being Rich and Wealthy, that is his own Calling from GOD ALMIGHTY. This was what made me joined too. His Trainings and Teachings permanently helped me out of Poverty too. But you know that most Yoruba Youths are not Business-minded like the Igbos.
I attended his Ota HQ before I left Nigeria. Many Poverty-sticken aspiring Young Businessmen joined the Church with nothing. Bishop Oyedepo through painstaking Relentless Business-Tranings (supported by Scriptural Backups) helped build the Business-Mental Capacity from scratch (of those that would have remained forever Poor) and Tenacity till they finally became Multi-Millionaires and Billionaires. Right from start, his Church is one of the very few that created Welfare Department that financially Support dedicated upcoming poor Members/Businessmen and women because he Strongly Believes in them that if they follow his Teaching, they shall Succeed.
Yet, some expect him to just watch someone come to scatter those he has Laboured to Build, just because of Politics? He had to apply wisdom, if not... Hello to you. What do you mean by most Yoruba youths are not business-minded? That is outrightly incorrect. Right from back in the pre-British Colonial history days till today, long-distance trading, farming, art and craft, blacksmithing, aso oke weaving, tie and dye, building construction, etc, were some of the business-minded skills Yorubas had. If you are talking of giving more capacity building, business training, and re-training programs to the Yoruba youth, and all the youth in general, then you will be in order! Edos, Ebiras, Hausas, etc, are also some Nigerian ethnicities that I know are long-distance business travelers and have some measure of business-minded youths from my business research of over two decades now. As of 2023, Yorubas including the youth engage in paid jobs, but also are in several businesses from the Tech space, computerized vehicle diagnoses, real estate construction business, music business, multibillion Naira confectionary and food businesses, aluminium fabrication and metal works, to shoe manufacturing, to cloths and accessories making, to small and big international trading businesses along the West Coast of Africa (Abidjan, Ghana, Lome, Gambia), to the North, East, and South of Africa, UAE, UK, USA, Canada, etc. Many folks are a bit biased, insular and do not bother to pay attention to little details around them, trending events, and turning points so they do not even realise that an ethnic group like the Yorubas with over 50 million people are great international travelers and enterprising or business-oriented people. Even some Yorubas (who are not aware through reading up more books and info) also make this error of judgement. There is a 2017 thread of over 100 pages on NL that clearly details out the several businesses of young folks of Yoruba descent in Nigeria and worldwide. All the best. |

mainman7: My brother, you know them very well! Listen carefully to the Audio and you will see that it is Obi that is pushing words into Oyedepo's mouth. And it is still him that recorded this with the exact aim to release it to cause disaffection among Yorubas if and when he loses, which is exactly what he has done because they hate all Nigerian Tribes with Perfect Hatred. Their ulterior satanic Agenda is to enslave ALL Nigerian Tribes under them, wish was why they introduced first-ever National Military Bloodshed to the Growing Nigerian Democracy on January 29th, 1966 during which they Deceitfully killed all other Tribes' Leaders except and Protected their own. This same Satanic Mission is what made them camouflaged IPOB as LP that "wants to Save Nigerians"
They sponsored so much hate-filled derogatory defamatory Campaign of Calumny against Tinubu in satanic bid for Character Assassination, the manipulated Buhari to change Naira notes in ferocious fighting against Tinubu that Helped him to Power, they went to Court to stop swearing in only to later discovered that APC was already collating Video Evidences of how they LP terribly rigged Election for Obi in their Strongholds. knowing that they are bound to lose in Court, they then went shamelessly kneeling to Milary at Defence Head Quarter begging them to take over and Destroy Nigerians' Democracy. Very demonic bad sore loosers' Tribe, now this is their next line of action.
Leaking this audio is their latest demonic Efforts. I first heard it on an Igbos website, so surely it is the Igbos that intentionally once again betrayed by leaking the Audio to cause bad blood between Yoruba Christians and Yoruba Muslims. But their demonic efforts is already dead on arrival as we all see how Oyedepo maturely and wisely responded without flaring up as manipulative Obi expected, even without knowing that the demonic evil Sad Soul was recording for future Blackmailing Purpose against the Great internationally Respected Yoruba Man. Yorubas are forever Greater than them, their Cancerous Hatred to see Yoruba Greatness would continue to make them misbehave like that idiot that was bundled like a Rabid dog out of the Plane. Insightful. |

ekolobaba: 1. Dr. Alex Otti is an IGBO MAN from Isiala-Ngwa area of Abia State. He has ALWAYS been identified to be from there.
But today, the same Ngwa people say Otti is a FOREIGNER IN ABIA by virtue of the area of Ngwa that he comes from.
They are of the opinion that he isnt an "original Ngwa man".
They say he is "Not Abia enough" to be the Governor of their state!!!
It is what has caused all the wahala in Abia State Guber.
He has won eventually but I can imagine that he will have problems.
2. Not too long ago, in this 4th Republic , a Yoruba man who had stayed forever in ONITSHA went beyond this boundaries.
He wanted to contest COUNCILORSHIP POSITION in one of their WARDS in that town.
Ordinary Councilor o!!!
They told him to clear out but he didn't understand.
He was summarily liquidated.
3. In Enugu we saw a viral video of a Leader, an elderly man, insisting that a particular politician whose ancestry was traced to nearby EBONYI STATE can never be allowed to be their Governor in Enugu.
He said NEVER.
He was terribly agitated about it.
They didn't allow that man.
4. In Anambra again, Bianca Onoh is an IGBO WOMAN. Her father was from neighbouring Enugu which used to be one state with them but she married no less a man than Emeka Ojukwu himself
A whole Ojukwu.
But Ojukwu was Anambra.
Bianca indicated that she wanted to contest the senatorial election in Anambra.
Anambra People told her to go to HER FATHERS LAND!!!!
That was it.
5. Ironically, Mrs Betty Akeredolu came to her own fathers land to ask for Senatorial ticket
Her father's land is IMO.
Imo people promptly told her to go back to her HUSBAND'S LAND IN ONDO STATE to find the ticket.
6. Till this day they still have the OSU CASTE system in that Igbo land.
Christianity couldn't wash it away.
OSU people still suffer humiliations amongst fellow Igbo people.
They have limitations to their rights up till this day.
They are discriminated against.
7. But these Abia, Anambra , Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo men are all over the place in Ondo, Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti, Osun and Lagos states telling you stories of 'One Nigeria" and preaching against"Tribalism " that it is fair and okay for them to become anything of politics in your land as they LIVE AND OWN HOUSES IN YOUR COMMUNITIES.
The want to be able to contest elections as GOVERNOR in Lagos and infact they want to achieve it by IGBO BLOC VOTES as they have moved half of their population into Lagos.
They want to be SENATORS in Lagos.
They want to be DEPUTY-GOVERNOR in Ogun.
They actually feel they deserve to be consulted in Ekiti before you chose your leaders.
They OPENLY tell you that LAGOS IS NO MAN'S LAND.
HOW A PEOPLE DEMAND FROM YOU WHAT THEY CAN'T GIVE YOU IS WHAT I WANT TO UNDERSTAND.
They don't do these things in the NORTH because they are very much aware that the NORTHERNERS KNOW THEM.
They do it to the Yoruba people because they are also very aware that the Yorubas don't travel to the EAST and therefore don't know the IGBO characters.
Yorubas are a very easy-going and easily contented, we hardly have had reasons to be going up and down to the spaces of other people.
But you come to us when we DIDN'T INVITE YOU and then begin to harrass us with games of competition which is something that isn't part of our own culture.
We don't go about with crazy aggression trying to outdo or get better than our neighbours.
Our ancestors taught us to be okay and satisfied with what we have.
We only look to be the better of ourselves, to become a better person than we were yesterday.
Money was and still is not a yardstick of measuring the quality of men in Yoruba land - YOUR OMOLÚÀBÍ CONTENT IS.
We will continue to educate our people.
Things can't be the same again.

To my greatest surprise, Some nigerians are genetically wired to be evil-minded, irrational and dishonest. For my House-hunt, I used Facebook market place because that it were i can get cheap and affordable room to rent, and i can also see the person that i am dealing with as well. After a long search, I was able to get a place for 700$ per month which was quite on the high side but that was the cheapest in that zone. The person renting out the place was a female Nigerian in her late fourties. Upon checking out the room, I felt the palce was worth the price so I agreeed to take the place. The rental, Mrs Rita seemed calm when we met and she explained that she only wnats to rent out the room to a Nigerian because she felt she would be more comfortable living with nigerians. I told her that I want to take she place, and she said I need to pay a security deposit (which is usually the same amount as the monthly rent), which would serve as a sort of assurance/seal the deal. |

There have been many market fires in Iboland over the years and just early last week, I read here on NL about the raging fire that gutted the Onitsha main market last week. Where Yorubas also the ones who burned the Onitsha market and other Northern Nigeria markets used by Ibo traders? I have noticed for about 3 years now the very insidious and criminally defamatory habit of some of you Ibo folks who spread FAKE news online or offline and on WhatsApp groups run by Ibos claiming that Yorubas burned the markets in Lagos without any credible shred of evidence. Defamatory threads exist with screenshots of these baseless accusations posted on NL. With a population of over 50 million strong, the false accusations will NOT be tolerated by folks of Yoruba descent anymore. These false accusations have to STOP because market fires can also occur from: 1. Poor electric wiring and electric surges in the day or night times. 2. Some traders live inside... or sleep overnight in their shops and use candle lights or cook there with kero stoves. 3. Small spaces in-between shops help small fires to grow and spread fast in markets. 4. Improperly stored combustible gasoline or diesel. Getting compulsory fire insurance policies is a great way of regaining losses by all traders of all Nigerian ethnicities. Period. |
