AyakaDunukofia:
The knowledge has been in public domain that Abia state's tributary at Obuaku is nearer to the Atlantic Ocean than the Port Harcourt's. King Jaja actually used the maritime pathway to haul palm oil down the beachhead.

Having stated that, the ports at Port Harcourt and Akwai Ibom, If allowed to operate at maximum capacity, would solve Igbo merchants' problems.
The outcome would be that:

a) the proximity of these ports to the Igbo hinterland is very negligible.

b) the long distance from the east to Lagos which precipitated the need to reside in Lagos would not be there anymore. Most Igbo merchants would enjoy doing their businesses in the comfort of their palatial mansions in the east currently left for the cockroaches.

c) The city of Aba would by default become one of the biggest container terminals in Nigeria given her proximity to Port Harcourt. A distance that is about that of Tin Can Island to Oshodi.

d) Most Igbo businesses would wind down to maintaining subsidiaries in Lagos.

e) Land patronage by the Igbo in Lagos would decline.

f) the need to buy land from these contiguous port cities would not increase from what it currently is.

g) Upsurge in real estate business in Igboland

h) the removal of railtracks from the "Exclusive list" to the "Concurrent" would put SE states under pressure to link the states with rail lines.

i) More air traffic at the well-built Anambra airport. And as well as Imo and Enugu etc.
Insightful.

Lagos State will have more breathing space and concentrate on serving as a robust feeder for the LAKAJI route via the Lekki Deep Sea Port and Apapa port.

Hehehe, I love the hope u guys display here, Hehehe!!

Other countries, like Britain and Singapore, are way ahead of Japan in the field, having made moves to use Islamic finance to enhance their own financial markets.

Bringing in oil money

Yoshihiro Watanabe, managing director of the Institute for International Monetary Affairs, said the significance of Islamic finance is "to bring in oil money to Japan and stimulate the Japanese economy."

The only reason the west (Japan Inclusive) would ever welcome a no-interest system(which is the main format of Islamic Finance) is in order to get the petro-dollars that was taken from them back!
If you understand the workings of the capitalist system, you'll not only be amazed, you'll rethink economics.

Let me explain in simple terms. . . .
The west will borrow ur money with a promise 2 pay 20 years later, use it to build their infrastructure, pay their bills, advance their technological know-how, and the worst part of it is they'll gives some part back to you and your neighbours as either military or some other kind of aid. Funnily, you'll forget it's your money.
Then 20 years later, they'll go back 2 the next guy that has sooo much money, do the same thing and sooo on and on and on till eternity.

Such hope!!! Wake up boy!!Wake up!

He got converted. He is a Christain.Hehhehe! He saw the truth! I thought you guys should disown him and even stone him for that!!

Anyways, seriously the drop in the price of oil would naturally dampen the hopes for expansion of Islamic finance.

truly I am just a very patriotic Nigerian who loves Nigeria so much. I have British citizenship and can japa to Britain anytime to live but I strongly refuse to stay in another mans country as a second class citizen . Nigeria is my country and I love it so much and I want it to be ruled by progressive minds who can develop it. I want someone who can build the Lagos blue line and BRT buses and Lekki deep sea port and Eko Atlantic City in every state in Nigeria so we can all enjoy our country and be proud of it. I don't want someone whose only achievement is building a brewery for 8 years to rule this country and bring suffering on everybody then I would be forced to japa. I don't want that. That is why I am fiercely fighting for asiwaju. Now if that fight makes me lose respect, so be it. Nobody here is paying my bills so you can keep your respect but we will make sure we fight for the man who can turn this country of ours to a first world country. By any means necessary . You guys like to sensationalise issues. No one is calling GRV omo ale because of his marriage to an Igbo woman or because his mother is Igbo.

He is being called an Omo Ale because of his utterances and disposition towards Yorubas in the past which is evident in his posts before he vied for office, which he has not denied.

Out of all the major tribes it is Yorubas that intermarry with the Igbos the most. The governor of my state married an Igbo, no one has ever called him an Omo Ale, the Deji of Akure has an Igbo wife.

In Yoruba land, the word bastard is not reserved solely for illegitimate children born out of wedlock. It's also a word used to describe anyone who brings shame to his father or family, denigrates his people or behave in a manner that is short of how an Omoluabi should behave.

No true Yoruba son or daughter will refer to another as Afonja, because it is a slur word used by igbos to insult the Yorubas.

Except he denies those post of his in the past, he is nothing but an Omo Ale, Omo Ale t'oun fi owo osi juwe Ile baba re. Omo Ale jatijati!

See what GRV intends to do with Lagos obas in the link below, Let's not be foolish. This guy might be Yoruba based on his father's lineage. There is nothing Yoruba in his conduct and utterances.

That people followed Obi does not mean that all those hiding under this bandwagon movement have good intentions, GRV inclusive. Yorubas are known to be reasonable.

How can one go about it here in Nigeria?

How much is it and what are the chances of a successful implant?

Please I need detailed info to guide my next move.

For those who may want to know why I'm opting for this. It's because I don't trust men enough to marry one.

Secondly, after years of being celibate, I no longer feel the urge to be intimate with a man and can't bear a man touching me let alone climbing me.

Right now, I want a mini me but don't want to get pregnant through the natural process hence my decision to go for an IVF.

I would also like to know if I can get a white man's seed here in Nigeria cos I want that Latino kinda baby.

Thanks.
I have a vast knowledge of this field.
It seems you are in your late 30s so,
I'll generate my comments with that
in mind.

First off, NEVER bring a child into this world without letting that child know the biological father.

Male children worldwide especially want to know their paternal roots which they strongly use to define themselves and their future descendants. You will never regret
letting the child know this.

The issue is that getting the specific ethnicity sperm you want... can only be got in Europe and America.

Would you like to explore the coparenting option if you don't want to be married? Get a man who will be in your child's life and who doesn't want to get married and then raise your kid(s) together.kiss wink

Regardless, IVF is very expensive and runs into millions of Naira and the failure rates are higher (the older the age of the woman and her depleting pool of eggs).

That his daughter is married to a Yoruba is irrelevant. Totally. It has no meaning
It doesn't add to or remove from the issue here

Your understanding is superficial
The Ibos blame the Yoruba for their loss and humiliation in Biafra and nurse the dream of revenge. That narrative is embedded in Ibo breast milk and fed to them from infancy.
Once you understand that you understand Ibo psychology
We see them and their thoughts before they think them.
A fi gbigbo se alaigbo, iwaju iwaju ni oko a ma ba ona
Lol... Just to correct you bruv, my understanding is NOT superficial.
I have been a member on NL since 2005 and know what's up.

In 2012, we where all here when
Achebe tried to guilt-trip and spin false tales about the Civil War, and we took them all to the cleaners with a lot of archival evidence, showing how the American publicist of Ojukwu resigned in an open letter, and accused him of causing the starving and death of his Ibo people in rebel areas.

I'm on the same page with you over most of your summations here.
I only referenced his daughter's inter-ethnic marriage to throw a further glimpse into Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu's background and thinking as a former rebel fighter in the late 1960s.

Since the early 1980s, I have been reading books on the 2 years and 6 months Nigerian Civil War (written by major actors on both sides of the conflict such as OBJ, Madiebo, Alabi-Isama, etc,) and I have many of these historical books in my
home library.

Just like General Gowon said in a January 1970 video interview with
a white journalist, Colonel Ojukwu illegally seceded by forcefully taking with him the ancestral territories and reluctant people of the Ijaw, Efik, Annang, Ogoni, Ibibio, Ejegbam ethnic minorities without a formal referendum. (They had earlier in 1967 strongly rejected biafra through Ken Saro-Wiwa from Ogoniland, the ex-King's College Lagos graduate and father of Ijaw nationalism Chief Harold Dappa-Biriye, and other Calabar, Ogoja, Rivers [COR] leaders of thought).

General Yakubu Gowon further said in the video, "If there was NO secession, there would have been
NO Civil War."

Therefore, there is absolutely NO basis for the past and ongoing online and offline "Ibo psychological" aggressions and relentless hate speech over the years towards Yorubas, Ijaws, Ikweres, Igalas, Annangs, Efiks, Tivs, Northerners, etc, for REJECTING the illegal secession by Col. Ojukwu who also badly miscalculated on war strategy which ultimately led to the loss on both sides of an estimated 500,000 to 1 million lives officially (100,000 military and the rest civilian casualties) with data got from international agencies as of 1970.

NOTE:
The fake 3-4 million dead figures is an ipob propaganda found badly edited or vandalised (after the year 2000) on the non-credible Wikipedia, and other secessionist websites, Twitter, FB, and WhatsApp groups, etc, and this fake figure has NO basis in the Nigerian Civil War history.

Igbos really need to stop the irresponsible attack on MC Oluomo. This apology would have made more sense without dragging MC into their kiss and tell relationship with Ayo Adebanjo led Afenifere.

For the avoidance of doubt, MC never threatened Igbo people or any one. The decision to stop Chinedu from becoming the governor of Lagos state was a collective decision of all Yorubas and not MC Oluomo. Whoever is against our decision to ensure a performing governor is re-elected in Lagos is an enemy of the Yoruba race. Ohaneze should shove this disrespectful apology into Iwuayanwu’s bigoted ass. It is not accepted.
Did you know that one of Chief Iwuayanwu's daughters who I read about in the early 2010s is married to a Yoruba man who speaks
Ibo? I guess old age may have led to this slip of tongue insult.

Chief Ezeife and Chinua Achebe also have daughters married to Yoruba men. I see an interesting pattern of the children of the elite getting into these inter-ethnic marriages.

Yes, the past anti-Yoruba Twitter posts by Gbadebo Vivour and the disrespectful and naive comments of his about not understanding Yoruba language got his ethnic kinsmen incensed in the light of massive and persisted online harassments and insults by mainly Ibo Labor party supporters who were rooting for him and ended up disrespecting the online and offline views and choices of the Lagos Yoruba folks over Gbadebo.

These irresponsible online attacks on Yorubas clearly led to the ethnically charged sequence of events in a few areas in Lagos State on election day.

Femi Fani Kayode has stated that nobody will break the new found trust between the north and the Southwest.

He goes to infer that the APC/Tinubu is trying to build a new Nigeria of North and Southwest.

The implication is that the Southeast and the Southsouth have no place in Tinubu’s government.

So, if you are from the Southeast or Southsouth and you are supporting Tinubu, it’s time to ask yourself some existential questions.

Hopefully this will get to Wike and co.
You have sometimes been very

Femi Fani-Kayode's tweet clearly made reference to the "UNITY" of NIGERIA and also spoke of the relationship between the West and
North as a SUBSET of the LARGER Nigerian unity.

FFK knows full well that votes from the West and majorly the entire zones in the North, and the South of Southern Nigeria gave APC the

Prosperousman:
1. First of all, farming is not a get rich quick scheme. You are probably going to spend the next 2 to 3 years building structures for your farm and paying salaries.

2. In terms or management, your relative should act as an overseer not a management staff because it will be difficult for you to penalize your relative if they default in their responsibility. Trying to penalize your relative will lead to quarrel

3. Buying a land is better than lease. Fence the land to provide more security.

4. Install wireless 360 degree solar cctv, you can view what is happening in your farm from anywhere in the world.

5. When recruiting a manager, make sure the cv is rich and has reputable gurantors. Most importantly, the amount you pay determine the type of manager you get. Most experienced managers would only work for you if you have a good salary structure, otherwise they have the experience to setup their own farm. Wahala is when you want to underpay a manager, the person will either mismanage your farm or resign.

6. If possible, build a farm accomodation in your farm, this will make it easier to recruit attendants and supervisors

7. Always ask for daily report from your manager everyday. Including photos and videos

8. Try to make sure you pay directly to customers account for bulk purchases. All purchases must be approved unless emergency.

9. Your relative should be in farm at least once a week to make sure that the report given to you tallies with what is on site.

Etc.

I am living abroad and have 2 farms in Nigeria.
You will lose money, they will not execute the work to plan but on the long run it is better to start while you are away.

I did not make profit so far but I now have assets that I can call my own. I bought 100 acres of land for my 2nd farm, that money would have long gone if not that I put it into the land. I now have tractors and other implements for farming. I would not have been able to acquire any of these if I have not started while still abroad.

Most importantly, I have learnt a lot. You learn everyday so the earlier you start the earlier you can learn.

In terms of people, using my relatives to manage my farms has turned out better than using the so called consultants.

You end up teaching the consultants what to do while they scheme on how to fleece you or use pictures of your farm to get more clients that they can fleece.

My advice, if you have a business you can do abroad, do that, if you don't have the time to run a business abroad then get a relative to run your farm in Nigeria, but don't hand it over to him, guide and coach him frequently.

Well, I am abroad and has farm (Livestock and Plantain) in Nigeria. We have been going for about 18 months now, and I have to be honest and say that the experience has been far from what I thought. But, of course with every business, there is a learning curve, so I do not regret the experience the past 18 months and I am actually motivated to push forward. Frankly, I believe what I have learnt about the business is definitely worth whatever I could have lost due to poor management or dishonest employees. A lot of people will advice that you don't start because people cannot be honest in your absence. However they refuse to look at it from the perspective that when you are abroad, you are mostly likely working and making much more money than you are losing at your farm in Nigeria either due to poor management or dishonest employees. For example, I make at least 3mm naira every month (using 450 naira per dollar), my manager and employees will need to be highway robbers to defraud me of even half of that in any given month. So what is better?
Of course some will advise you to keep your money until you are ready to come back and setup, but everyone knows it is not easy to just keep money like that. And more importantly in staring even while you are still away, you learn some very valuable lessons. You learn that theories hardly translate into practice; you learn what people to trust or not, you learn some production and management; you find out what works and what doesn't; you learn about other aspects of the farming value chain you never even thought about (for example, dabbling into poultry has thought me about the opportunities in both farming and storing grains).
My advice to you is there is no better teacher than experience. The best time to go in is actually when you are still abroad and still able to make the money to help replace the losses due to the inevitable learning curve. You should focus more on constructing and expanding your facilities such as buildings and machinery and less on production. Trust me no matter how fraudulent a poultry manager is, he will most likely not sell your pen houses or your feed mill or your tractors, etc.
So seriously, give it a try if you have a passion for farming.

IGALA:THE PLIGHT OF IGALA PEOPLE IN ANAMBRA STATE BY VICTOR O EKELE.

lgala is an ethnic group In Nigeria with over ten million population as of now. The home of the Igala people is situated east of the river Niger and Benue confluence and astride the Niger.

The Igala people shares boundaries with the Igbo's(ibo) people at the south, Idoma at the east, Benis people at the west and Ebira people at the north.

The Igala people are found in Kogi state with 55 percent of kogi state population and also found in Anambra state, Enugu state, Edo state and Delta state.

The Igala people which are found in the Anambra west are mostly Mmiata Anam, Umuoba-Abegbu Anam, Umuenwelum Anam, Oroma-Etiti,Umueze Anam, Umudora Anam, Umuikwu Anam, Inoma-Akator, Nzam, Igbedor and Iyiora Anam all from the family of Ogbe the descendants of General Ajida, a notable warrior of Idah origin(Idah is traditional headquarters of Igala kingdom) Ajida is the father of field marshal Ogbe who was married to Iyida.

The family of ogbe and other Anambra west villages. Anam, Anako, and Akpanam people have recently neglected their real tribe Igala which was the language they were speaking originally as their mother tongue before the Nigeria civil war.

As a Igala tribe in an Igbo state, it is very difficult because Anambra state government has made it compulsory for all the school to speak igbo(ibo) language through out which sometime makes it difficult for Igala young ones to speak Igala.

Igala people in Anambra west are making a lot of mistakes now because some of them are giving Igbo's names to their children rather than Igala names. They know that they are Igala people but the Anambra west generations of youths does not really knows who there are rather they thinks they are igbo because most of them bears Igbo names.

The history of Nzam are traces back to descendants of General Ajida, a notable warrior of Idah origin who came to the town. Ajida is the father of field marshal Ogbe who was married to Iyida. He was the first settler of the present place Ogbe area of Anambra west.

In my interview with a man called chinedu Idoko an indigene of the land. I asked him about himself and his tribes and also his names.
This was his replies, "my names is chinedu Idoko, I am an Igala man, but I bears igbo names while my father names Idoko Atama an Igala names. I was given the names after the Nigeria civil war in in 1971."

Speaking further to chinedu:
Why are you people in this Generation doesn't want to give Igala names to your children again? "I don't know maybe it is because we are living in Anambra an Igbo state. But we still speak our Igala language as our mother tongue".

Most youths in Anambra who are bearing Igbo names and some times are not living in Anambra west will thinks that there are igbos not knowing there are Igala people.
Their land has lack development and government neglection. The only roads that links their town is not something we might talks about because it is not good.

They are the least undeveloped area in Anambra state lacking many facilities after my research.

Nzam people must know their origin and try to preserve their origins before it dies off.

An advice to Ogbe family of Anambra west. Stop given your children Igbo names and teach your children how to speak Igala.

Do you know that the king of Nzam originally was called Ide of Nzam. Which means the Guardian of Nzam people. Ide means Guardian in igala not igwe now they are calling them.

Those who lost elections don’t know they are being primed to fall into the hands of the law.

No where in the world can you fight an incumbent govt. They will just come up with some schemes and you’ll been seen as unlawful aggressor at the end. The earlier they back out the better.

This is a bait by the DSS, only foolish politicians will fall into their trap
Well said.

Nnamdi Kanu created the Directorate of State (DOS) to run Ipob if anything happened to him. The Directorate of State is led by Chika Edoziem and its spokesman is Emma Powerful. It also has other officials like Chinasa Nworu.

The DOS appointed Simon Ekpa (a known disciple of Nnamdi Kanu,. Kanu had asked his followers to listen to Ekpa) as the director of Radio Biafra after Nnamdi Kanu was arrested. However, a few days later, it said that it had sacked Ekpa because he was not following instructions.

Simon Ekpa made his own broadcast in which he said that he had expelled the DOS from the Biafra struggle. He said that the Biafra struggle was now on autopilot. He also accused the DOS of being behind Nnamdi Kanu's arrest.

Simon Ekpa now runs his own faction of Ipob which is called the Autopilot and its members are called Autopiloters. Simon Ekpa is the leader, spokesman and everything of the Autopiloters.

Ipob-DOS and Ipob-Autopilot have been in conflict since then.
They are all the same secessionist gang members.
