Mom007: I understand you. Like I said, its not my story to tell. I am not the actually person concerned. My husband is. Its a sore topic around my home and we have tried to move on but we have kept hearing from our circle of friends basically the same thing. The last straw that just triggered this post came a few days ago. Another set of sacking, all done under the radar in small groups and clusters so as not to arouse public outcry. Totally impractical reasons for termination. They are thrown out empty handed, given only one months pay if they have not worked up to 10yrs with the bank. Who does that? Besides that clause should only be invoked if a person resigns voluntarily! You sack someone unfairly and claim the person did not stay up to 10yrs as the reason you denied them their benefits. In this current economy. Is that not witchcraft? My dear brother, the story is not mine to tell like I said. They are many, and they are all keeping quiet and thats why the banks are getting away with it. I understand the economy is bad right now and these are businesses struggling to make profits. But at what cost? They are throwing people into depression and hunger and ruining families! If you must downsize, do it honorably. Don't use ridiculous excuses like appraisal blablabla, when most of what is being appraised are beyond the control of the appraisee and subject to the mood and dictates of the appraiser. You want to downsize? own it with your chest. Say "We are sorry, we have to let you go, the economy is not friendly and we have to cut overhead. Here are your entitlements, we wish you best of luck in your future endeavors" chikena, no hard feelings. The stories are heartbreaking and have been going on a while now. Its high time people spoke about it. Insightful. |

Mom007: When are we going to address the toxic nature of access bank work environment and how for the past couple of years they have been sacking their professional staff indiscriminately and under the flimsiest excuses while denying them their work benefits? There has been a conspiracy of silence and it is making the bank get away with such wickedness bordering on criminality! They work you to the bone, especially their operations staff, you work literally 7day a week, they transfer you at will regardless of your safety and the sanctity of your family unit, they give you unrealistic sales and performance targets, regardless of your job description and failure to meet any of them gets you the boot and you are replaced with cheaper labor as there is always a constant stream of available unemployed folks to do the job for less. Heck, access bank will sack you for the most ridiculous reason or simple mistake after years of diligent service. They have selfish zonal and regional managers who are only interested in saving their own jobs and can serve up any other person on the chopping block but where does that leave the bank and more importantly, the customers? With a bunch of staff who want to cash out at all cost before their own evil day befalls them. They have the highest amount of internal fraud than any other bank and they pretend they don't know why! You treat your staff, who have been loyal to you for years like trash and you wonder at the rising state of worker disloyalty! I know there are a lot of aggrieved Ex- and current Access bank workers. Come onboard let's hear your story. Break the silence! Sharing may give you some closure and it may cause them to wake up and treat their staff better. Bump. |

I don't even blame them. It's the useless people who keep behaving like slaves while calling on them that made them to start talking to feel relevant. Can they say gibberish when it comes to China or Japan? Point is they aren't important in the scheme of things and have no business in the affair of a sovereign state thus should keep their hypocritical trashy mouth off.

Hypocritical people who can't even take it if they were in the same shoes.
See the way Morgan and several British people lambast Harry and Meghan daily because the two said little stuff about their Queen. Let alone, if a clown dare say gibberish about the British heritage. Yet they expect us not to talk while some fools provoke us daily by constantly saying gibberish about Yoruba heritage? Can British tolerate such nonsense? That is, can they tolerate some clowns saying nonsense about their British heritage while living on their British soil and even supporting Ipob terrorism to destroy their land like the Igbos are doing? True that. |

paymentvoucher:

Breaking the Law: Number 1 In Nigeria, a person is statutorily obligated to withdraw from engaging in or directing a private business, except if it is farming, upon becoming a public officer, Section Six (6) of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act stipulates.
However, our investigation, based on records obtained from the UK Companies House shows that Mr Obi continued to be a director of Next International (UK) Limited for 14 months after becoming the governor of Anambra State, thereby breaking Nigeria’s law. The politician resigned from the company on May 16, 2008, 14 months after he assumed duties as Anambra governor. He took office on March 17, 2006.
Mr Obi did not dispute the records PREMIUM TIMES cited but he claimed he “resigned immediately” by handing his wife his resignation letter. He suggested that his company might have failed to effect the changes on time or the UK Companies House did not immediately document his exit. But the UK companies registry said Mr Obi indeed resigned on May 16, 2008, and that it received his notice of resignation for electronic filing on June 16, 2008.
Breaking the law: Number 2 Nigerian public officers are required to declare “immediately after taking office and thereafter all” their properties, assets, and liabilities and those of his (or her) unmarried children under the age of eighteen years,” Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution stipulates (Section 11, Part of the Fifth Schedule).
PREMIUM TIMES investigation also found that Mr Obi breached this constitutional provision on assets declaration. We can authoritatively report that Mr Obi did not declare to the Code of Conduct Bureau the companies he tucked away in offshore secrecy havens.
Mr Obi caused to be created for him a structure of secrecy that had previously, until the Pandora Papers investigation, meant he could continue to hold foreign assets in a way that breaches Nigeria’s law without the knowledge of authorities in the country. In an extra layer of secrecy, Mr Obi used paid nominees as directors, while he remains the ultimate beneficial owner, making it nearly impossible to discover his interests in those companies but we obtained rare incorporation documents proving his link.
Otherwise, Mr Obi could have forever hoped to continue to hold the assets, that he did not declare when he had a statutory obligation to do so as a governor, without any authority or the public calling him to account.
In his response, Mr Obi ridiculously suggested that those offshore companies and assets are jointly owned with his family members and that he was not under obligation to declare companies jointly owned. “I don’t declare what is owned with others,” Mr Obi told PREMIUM TIMES. “If my family owns something I won’t declare it. I didn’t declare anything I jointly owed with anyone.”
This is contrary to the position of the Constitution, which specifies the declaration of all assets, whether jointly or partly owned, PREMIUM TIMES’ reporters told Mr Obi. He said he was not aware of that provision of the law.
Nevertheless, leaked records show Mr Obi is the sole ultimate beneficial owner of the offshore companies. So he did not even jointly own it with anyone.
In that case, Mr Obi has violated Nigeria’s Code of Conduct law and, if authorities decide to act appropriately, he could be arraigned before the Code of Conduct Tribunal, a special court that tries public officers for any contravention of the Code of Conduct for Nigerian public officers as spelt out in the Fifth Schedule of the Nigerian constitution.
The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) were established to enforce “a high standard of morality in the conduct of government business, and to ensure that the actions and behaviour of public officers conform to the highest standards of public morality and accountability.”
Breaking the law: Number 3 The former governor could be charged with failing to declare his offshore holdings and their associated assets and operating foreign accounts while being a public officer.
The Nigerian constitution and the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act forbid a public officer from maintaining or operating a bank account outside Nigeria. However, as a governor, Mr. Obi continued to operate and maintain foreign accounts, including with Lloyds TSB.
Mr. Obi told PREMIUM TIMES that he received the advice to create an offshore structure from Lloyds TSB, which then introduced him to intermediaries who helped him to set up com where he continued to operate a foreign account as a governor.
The offences violate sections of the Fifth Schedule of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as amended.
Asked if he is concerned that Nigerians would be disappointed at him following our finding of his opaque and lawless dealings as a governor, Mr Obi said he was more concerned about his U.K. and U.S. schools alumni network, his business and foreign creditors. He insisted that he served well as Anambra governor and Nigerians already have their opinions about him.
The former governor could be charged for failing to declare the company and its associated assets and perhaps operating foreign accounts while being a public officer.
Mr Obi told PREMIUM TIMES that he received the advice to create an offshore structure from Lloyds where he continued to operate a foreign account as a governor.
The offences violate sections of the Fifth Schedule of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as amended. Whoa! Self-destruct. |

Tinubu wasn't convicted - facts.
Even if he was convicted ( which he was not and will never be), he'll be very eligible to contest because it's passed the 10 years restriction the CFRN 1999 provides for ex-convicts.

He doesn't need to be sent to jail. A pronouncement by the CCT that he is guilty of dishonesty makes Obidîot ineligible to contest election in Nigeria till after 2031- facts.

A lot of the Ibos online and offline are NOT blameless in triggering the ethnic confrontations in a few parts of Lagos State based on all the past toxic propaganda videos, inciting posts embedded with tauntings and ethnic profiling of other Nigerian ethnicities such as the Ikweres, Ijaws, Hausas, Yorubas, Binis or Edos, Benue folks especially the Tivs, AkwaCross folks, and hate speech posted on NL and other social media platforms used by the members of the banned ipob over many years and towards every election cycle. These facts will be used as evidence in any court of law against these weak ethnic bigots who think they can guilt-trip others. The online and offline tauntings and persistent reference to Lagos State as a "no man's land" by some Ibos for many decades now leading right up to the eve of the 2023 elections, infuriated the indigenes of Lagos State and other Yorubas. Gbadebo Vivour too made past irresponsible anti-Yoruba Twitter posts, and also made pro-ipob posts which triggered several RED flags from a lot of Yoruba folks who vowed NOT to vote for him and the party he belonged to. Right on NL and Twitter, some Ibos openly insulted Yorubas, and others for criticising the inability of Gbadebo to speak Yoruba at the age of 40, and for his unwise anti-Yoruba and pro-ipob/biafra tweets (for a dude who wanted to be the Governor of a major traditional Yoruba State (Lagos State), the 5th largest economy in Africa. Gbadebo has still not apologised for those past tweets. Besides in the video, MC Oluomo spoke in Yoruba and NEVER mentioned a threat to the entire Ibos in that video. He ONLY mentioned Iya Chukwudi in a jocular way in the video. In another video, Iya Chukwudi appeared next to MC and confirmed that she was the one MC mentioned in the first video. Movie stars, Mercy Johnson, Joke Silva-Jacobs, Pastors Adeboye, Paul Adefarasin, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Senator Kashim Shettima, etc, have all been major victims of cyberbullying, fake news and stalking by majorly toxic male and female Ibo trolls. There is more digital evidence on Nairaland and other platforms which prove that past irresponsible threats by certain Ibos have triggered social tensions leading to a backlash. Be aware! |

Properties › Re: How Wayo Real Estate Companies Sell The Same Plots To Different People by XAUBulls: 2:17pm On Mar 27, 2023 |
lawyer: Many Lagos Real Estate companies are neck-deep in this wayo practice of advertising a certain amount of land to the public only for them to over-subscribe those lands to more people than they originally own.
The scam is to push marketers to tell you that there is a limited amount of plots available for sale by the real estate company and if you don’t buy these lands within a specific time, you would lose out or end up paying more when the deadline is up.
Because you are naturally frightened that you would lose a good deal, you end up subscribing for the land and hoping for you to get allocation immediately but you could wait for months or years before you are given any land.
This trick is successful because the subscriber does not demand for the layout survey of the estate before he buys.
The layout survey must specify the following:
1. The size of the land the estate owns 2. The number of plots the estate has 3. The division of the land into various plots and blocks 4. The numbering of the plots and block
Once the estate is not willing to show you the layout, WAKA FAST!!!
If the Estate shows you the Layout, you must choose your own plot from the layout you intend to buy and agree with the estate that the land is available for sale.
The estate must also prepare a Letter of Offer stating that that particular plot and block will be sold to you once you make payment.
The letter of offer must state the exact time you would be allocated that specific plot of land.
The letter of offer must state the penalty or remedy if you are not allocated that plot of land within a reasonable period of time which should go beyond just a refund of your money.
Also ask them if you complete the payment, what is stopping you from taking possession of the land immediately before the deed of assignment and survey is ready.
Most of the time, the responses from the Estate would make you know if you are dealing with good people or land thieves.
Anything short of following this format is setting you up for problems.
Once the real estate companies realize you are one of the mumu subscribers that just pays for a land without scrutinizing their papers, they would just pencil you down as one of the ones they would be tossing around.
While other people would be allocated lands, yours may be delayed and when you complain, they would apologize to you and relocate you to a less desirous place. A refund of your money is out of the question.
Too many people have been victims of land over-subscribing by wayo of real estate companies. Please don’t let these land thieves use you as their next land scam victim. Please verify your next land purchase so you don't become another land scam victim. Impressive. |

Shokoloko: Before the white men came - Afro-Iranian slavery (c. 1502–1736 AD)
Between AD650 and AD1600, an average of 5,000 Africans were shipped out by the Arabs, making a rough total of 7.25 million. Again, between 1600 and 1800, another 1.4 million Africans were shipped out by the Arabs. The 19th century represented the highest point of the Arabian trade where 12,000 Africans were shipped out every year. The total figure for the 19th century ALONE was 1.2 million slaves to Arabia.(1). The majority of Afro-Iranians came to Iran via the Indian Ocean slave trade. Because of the dispersal of slaves throughout the Middle East and subcontinent, virtually every country bordering the Persian Gulf has a legacy of slavery and African population, like the Afro-Iraqis, Afro-Pakistanis, Afro-Kuwaitis, Afro-Omanis, Afro-Saudis , and so on.
Thus, women slaves in the Arab world were often turned into concubines living in harems, and rarely as wives, their children becoming free. A large number of male slaves and young boys were castrated and turned into eunuchs who kept watch over the harems. Castration was a particularly brutal operation with a survival rate of only 10%.(2) The victims of castration were usually boys between 8-10 years old(3). This was called genetic warfare to prevent the African man from reproducing. Moreover, while the European/New World slavers profited mainly from male labor, the Arabs saw profit in sexual satisfaction/reproductive potential.
Slavery persisted as a legal practice in Iran until 1929, and at the moment Afro-Iranians constitute 10-12% of the population of southern Iran(4)
Even to this day, Arab slavers are still at work in Sudan and Mauritania, buying and selling black Africans.

Five men were burnt to death after they allegedly attempted to snatch a tricycle operator of his tricycle in Onitsha, Anambra State, IGBERETV reports.
The incident occurred at old Nkpor road, close to the headquarters of People’s Club, in the commercial city of Onitsha on Saturday, March 25, 2023. An eyewitness said that the suspects allegedly tried to steal a tricycle from the owner in broad daylight when they ran out of luck and were caught. “Mob who gathered after the men were rounded up, refused the advice of some people to call in the police. They first started by striping the men naked and beating them up, and eventually, some people brought old tyres and fuel, and they were set ablaze. It was a very bad sight today, and everyone watched and supervised, while the men burnt to death,” he said.
Emenike Obinna shared a graphic video from the scene with the caption;
