Me that haven't bought beans, maize or yam getting to a year for ( domestic use)Kolewerk;I encouraged him to contract it at any point strength fails and Alhamdulilah we acquired more hectares with just 5k,yes you hear me right.Leasing or renting of land for agricultural purpose is cheap here. This year we will be cultivating: Maize, Okra, Ground Nut, Beans at interval. My Yam is currently sprouting on my Mini Garden at home. I don't buy spinach,Ewedu,Ugwu, Bitter Leaf, Saint Leave,Curry leaves during raining season because,I have them at my backyard.

So Enjoy!! And ask questions where necessary.
A very impressive pictorial thread @Maryam.

Do you guys have experiences with snake bites there at the Suleja, Zuma rock leased farm lands surroundings? You have to wear rubber boots and gloves always for added protection against snake bites and have snake anti-venom injections at the nearest medical facility. Discovery Channel over the years has taught me to be very careful with snakes because they are very good swimmers in rivers, lakes, and also good tree climbers.

Are your originally from Niger State or just a resident there?

Last but not least, have you ever encountered loses from the delivery of your agro commodities to your clients nationwide due to attacks by highway bandits?

All the best.

Whatever business you must go into... TIME INVESTMENT is non negotiable especially in a terrain you had no experience neither skills nor ready made market..

As a farmer with experience in catfish and ugu farming alongside fish processing and exportation... I can speak authoritatively on both farming and agro commodity trading where you will have better information on the merits and demerits of both.

There are a few factors to be considered. The more lucrative an agricultural business is, the greater the skill required.
In a nutshell make your choice based on these:
» Your Knowlege and experience; This will reduce the risk of monetary loss.
» Availability & cost of raw-materials.
» Demand

It may be safer to start from a small scale if you are unsure of your experience.

The MV Golden Ray was a 200-metre (660 ft)-long car carrier that capsized on 8 September 2019 in St. Simons Sound near the Port of Brunswick in Georgia, United States.

She was eventually declared a total loss and is being removed as scrap.

The Golden Ray capsized soon after it departed the Port of Brunswick, about 70 miles, or 112 kilometers south of Savannah.

The ship's pilot and 23 crew members were all safely rescued, including four men trapped for 36 hours before they could be extracted through a hole drilled into the hull.https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9010779/amp/Anchor-chain-slices-sunken-cargo-ship-reveal-4-200-Hyundai-cars-inside.html

A huge cargo ship carrying 4,200 cars has been split open with an anchor chain, more than a year after it capsized and was left stranded on the Georgia coast.

The 600ft South Korean ship Golden Ray is finally being demolished after months of setbacks, with the dismantling revealing the astonishing sight of the thousands of cars stacked inside.

A 400-foot anchor chain is being used to cut sections, exposing the many Hyundai cars trapped inside the ship.

Politics › Re: Unifying The Great Rivers Of Niger And Benue - Femi Kawonise by XAUBulls: 2:18pm On Feb 25, 2023
OgunNewsFact:
Unifying the great rivers of Niger and Benue - Femi Kawonise

A Nigeria united as one would be one of the most formidable forces the world has ever known. Appreciating or conceptualising this would cast to mind the cataclysmic events that ensued in the Roman empire which spelt the beginning of the end of the great Roman civilisation.

Right before the Roman Empire had a downward decline they had always thrived by making sure the border tribes were never united. They kept this stratagem by sowing seeds of distrust and discontent between the border tribes (destroying the only thing that could make the borders unify and become stronger).

That ignoble seed the Romans sowed always worked, until Fritigern (a single man) observed this phenomenon and using his influence as a local gothic chieftain, united the tribes of the goths and the Alans against the Romans. The result of this coalition was disastrous for the Romans, as the battle that ensued took the life of a Roman emperor which was the second time in the history of the Roman Empire that this ever occurred.
The Roman Empire had to make concessions to Fritigern. Same way, if Nigeria is united as we’ve been in time past, we would grow strong and no elite or individual will be able to sow seeds of discord among us Nigerians. We will become the ubermensch, unable to be brought down by any external or internal force. As we are now glaringly uncovering, the game plan by the super elite is to sow seeds of discord so we the masses are not powerful enough to take the initiative.
This tactic has been the work of deleterious men masking themselves as Nigerian patriots who we know are the super rich politically classed elite. They have decided to give our reality a false hope and a frail existence under In order to keep our minds in despair. They want us thinking about our kids and whether they would live in fear and better traumatised about how the future of Nigeria would be.

I know for a fact that Nigeria is not merely a geographical location; Nigeria is Nigeria because of the peoples that coexist in it, and that is our reality. Our future is in jeopardy if we do not protect the innocence and mental health of our reality and accepting same. Our reality is clearly pregnant of being totally unified. We’ve lived as one in Nigeria for more than a century. Which European country can boast of such feat with so much ethnic diversity? Even the Europeans that speak the same language and have the same culture war against each other and are not half as united as we are.

The morality of the average Nigerian has been eroded, and this is as a result of the games the elite and ruling class are playing. Using its citizens as pawns to achieve their own selfish ends. I looked at our founding fathers and I saw the qualities that made them great, which is what the present leadership lacks. The primal qualities I found in those great leaders are:
Virtue
Fidelity
Discipline
Perseverance
Dignity

And without these qualities, which I know we mostly possess, Nigeria would be in a steady state of decline till the Nigeria we once knew is no more. If you look at all of history, most great empires are brought to their knees from within. It usually starts with a little decadence, ignoring just one of the values founding fathers bequeathed unto the people. And the rot begins, just like a toad which is in a pool of cold water not realising that the pool is heating up gradually till it gets to the boiling point. At that point, it is too late for the toad to jump out and it eventually dies in the pool of hot boiling water. To avert that sort of calamity, we have to rediscover our morals and thread the path our founding fathers took.

I often hear that the northern part of Nigeria is the problem. Any one that makes this statement can’t be blamed because it is a misjudgment of the character of the north. The northern masses as part of their culture are loyal people, of which quality has shown throughout our history from the great legacies of Ahmadu Bello, Tafawa Balewa and so on. I greatly admire in them their loyalty to the cause of Nigeria and bonding to their ruling class and elite. Just like during the Nazi era, the Germans’ loyalty was to Hitler, and the world was not surprised when the citizens played the dictates of his will.

Northerners exert the will of the rulling class but this has never been the problem. Do you see where I’m going with this? If the northern elite have a good heart and love for their people, most definitely you will see the trickle down effect on the masses. But as we can see time and time again they have a sinister heart, and of course those loyal to these so called northern elite would bring that evil idea to reality. So you see the problem of the north is not as complicated, the problem resides with just a few individuals trying to cause mayhem.

The present day Nigeria is advantaged with the bliss of population and diversity. This advantage as radiant as it views, is callously being dismembered by the petty little talks of secession and division.

The advantage our country bears to an ordinary entrepreneur is gloated with immeasurable opportunities, the individual is gilded with the warmth that he has access to a teeming customer base, and such individual works hard to put it to fruition. The United Kingdom’s economy with all its human intellectual prowess and historical antecedents cannot be ranked with economies like that of the United States and other populated countries. In a little perspective, products and services exported from the United States are first consumed and utilised by its citizens even much before such product or service is exported to other nations.

In any case from all available case studies, there has never been any country that has seceded that benefitted more from the division. In context, the recent Czechoslovakian split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia, was a prime example that showcased a sharp plummet in both countries’ GDP. Population size as we all know has always been incredibly low for advanced European countries. A feign theory would have it that if these european countries had stayed together and worked out their differences they would be stronger collectively as one, and even be a greater European power. But now any major economic activity in those regions don’t really affect the status quo on the international stage.

We as humans have always let petty issues prevent us from forging a way to work out existing issues. Painting a picture, using Nigeria as the case study, if Nigeria secedes into the three geo-political zones, It is expected that within a matter of years which may not even reach a decade, these geopolitical zones will start to feel the winds of discontent blow from spilt factions.
From personal experience this phenomenon has played out severally. In the West, there has been this not-so-muted discontent amongst other Southwest states, that Ogun State has produced most of the political leaders that ruled the region and the larger national entity as Premier, Presidents, Vice President and Speaker of House of Representatives. The current Vice President hails from the west is from Ogun State. Also on another level of abstraction, within Ogun state there is agitation that there has never been a governor produced by the Yewa zone of the State. What is obvious here is that the human nature has never been satisfied, internal contradictions that are fiercer than exogenous ones will still play out no matter the setting of the polity at play. If we as Nigerians can rise above this base human instinct, we will truly become the master Nation.

No one tribe or region is the problem, just as incompetence does not have race, tribe or skin color and any individual’s machination dividing us along these tribal lines are out for their selfish gains and not for betterment of the people.

Nairaland General › Re: Revolutionizing The Construction Industry: How Digital Marketing Is Changing The by XAUBulls: 5:50pm On Feb 24, 2023
seospecialistbd:
The construction industry is undergoing a digital revolution. Digital marketing plays a key role in this transformation, helping companies reach new markets and increase sales. By leveraging the power of online tools, businesses are connecting with more customers than ever before, driving innovative approaches to construction projects and boosting the bottom line. With powerful analytics and data-driven insights, firms can develop better strategies for their products and services. In addition, it helps maximize efficiency by automating processes such as customer segmentation and lead generation.

Revolutionizing Construction

The construction industry is undergoing a revolution as technology and digital marketing become increasingly important. Digital tools, such as 3D printing, virtual reality (VR) modeling, and augmented reality (AR) are changing the way we plan, design and build projects. These digital tools allow us to create detailed plans before the construction process begins, streamlining the planning stages of a project. In addition, it has enabled contractors to reach wider audiences and better promote their work.

VR modeling provides an immersive experience that allows designers to explore every detail of a building before it goes into production. This means that potential problems can be identified early on in the process and addressed more efficiently throughout construction. AR technology also helps make the design process easier by allowing users to visualize how their finished product will look without actually constructing it first.

Traditional Construction Marketing

The construction industry has traditionally relied upon word-of-mouth, referrals, print advertisements, and tradeshows to market its services. Promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, and business cards were also used to communicate with potential customers. While these methods could generate some leads for the construction company, they were often expensive and time-consuming. Additionally, traditional marketing methods lack the ability to target specific audiences or measure the success of a campaign.

For many years construction companies had minimal options when it came to marketing their products or services. However, digital technology has revolutionized how businesses can promote themselves and reach their desired audience in a more efficient manner. Digital marketing techniques such as search engine optimization (SEO), social media campaigns, and pay-per-click advertising are now being used by construction companies to increase visibility on the internet and boost conversions from leads into sales.

Benefits of Marketing

It is revolutionizing the construction industry and with good reason. In today's increasingly digital world, it is essential for construction businesses to make use of this new form of advertising and promotion. marketing offers a number of unique benefits that can help construction companies improve brand recognition, reach more customers, increase revenue, and drive growth.

The first benefit of marketing is the ability to target specific audiences. With traditional advertising methods such as print or television ads, it can be difficult to identify your ideal customer base. However, they provide you with the tools necessary to target specific demographics with precise accuracy. This helps ensure that your message reaches exactly who you want it to be without wasting resources on those who are not interested in what you have to offer.

Another great advantage of digital is its cost-effectiveness compared to traditional forms of advertising.

Challenges Faced with Digital Marketing

Digital marketing is quickly revolutionizing the construction industry, however, it does come with a few challenges. The first challenge associated with digital is understanding the technology involved and being able to use it properly. Construction companies need to have their staff trained in order to understand the intricacies of software programs like Photoshop, Excel, or HTML. Additionally, those who manage websites must keep up-to-date with new trends in order to create an effective web presence.

The second challenge when using marketing is competition from other construction companies also using similar strategies. It's important for construction companies to stand out amongst their competitors by creating content that sets them apart as well as utilizing engaging visuals and videos which will draw attention from potential customers online.

Industry Examples of Digital Success

In today's digital age, the success of many businesses can be attributed to their digital marketing efforts. This is especially true in the construction industry, which has seen an increase in online presence and engagement over the past few years. Companies that have embraced digital strategies have been able to reach new customers and boost sales as a result. Here are some examples of how construction companies are utilizing marketing for success:

One construction company has used targeted social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive leads. By creating content tailored to its target audience and engaging with them directly on platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, the company was able to generate leads and convert them into paying customers.

Another construction company uses blog posts about industry news and trends in order to attract new visitors to their website.

Tips for Improving Construction Digital

Digital marketing is an important tool for construction companies to generate new business and build their brand. It’s important for construction companies to be active in the digital space, engaging potential customers and building relationships. Here are a few tips to help you improve your construction digital strategy:

Start by creating an online presence through search engine optimization (SEO). SEO helps your website rank higher in search engine results pages, leading more people to find and learn about your company. Additionally, use social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or LinkedIn to engage with current and potential customers; post helpful content that informs customers about your services as well as industry news or trends.

Consider investing in paid advertising on Google Ads or other platforms like Bing Ads. This can help you reach specific audiences that are interested in what you have to offer.

The Future of the Construction Industry

The construction industry has been slow to adopt digital marketing, but that is changing. As technology, automation and analytics become more pervasive in all types of businesses, the construction industry is also starting to follow suit. The potential for increased efficiency and cost savings are two major benefits that the adoption of digital could bring to the construction industry.

At its core, digital marketing involves using data-driven insights to target customers with specific messages and offers. For example, a company selling construction supplies could use digital techniques such as retargeting or retargeting to reach local customers in need of their products. Marketing campaigns could also be used to promote new services or special promotions offered by companies in the construction field. Additionally, online platforms like social media can be used for customer feedback and analysis which can help better inform future decisions made by a business.

Conclusion

Digital marketing is revolutionizing the construction industry and serves as an invaluable tool for companies to reach their target market through creative strategies. Companies are now able to better engage with potential customers, build relationships and increase communication. It has provided a great platform to help drive more sales and create greater customer loyalty. Furthermore, it has opened doors for entrepreneurs to discover new opportunities within the construction industry and make it accessible to a larger audience.

rookidmart:
This is nice.

My quote in the linked thread refers:

If they're pricing in naira at official rates then although the setup fee is more expensive than contemporary fiber offerings (ipnx, fiberone, et al.), the value is in reliability and cheaper internet.

The speedtest screenshot above suggests >200mbps for ~₦19k which the competitors do not offer.
Fiberone and Ipnx both max out at 152Mbps and 150Mbps for ₦66,750 and ₦62,350 respectively.

It is worthy to note that Ipnx offers Gigabit internet (1000mbps) under its FOS Xtreme plans (FOS extreme 1000) but that would set you back ₦268,750 monthly, which is basically the one-time cost of the Starlink hardware.

If Starlink can prove its mettle by offering consistently fast internet (per Elon Musk, planned speed is 10gbps) at these relatively low prices, and resilience in bad weather conditions then it is poised to take over the market.

A death knell for traditional fiber offerings would be if Starlink offered a way to pay for the hardware costs in installments from your monthly subscription fee.
Insightful.

Business › Re: To Brand Or Not To Brand? By Leke Alder by XAUBulls: 3:32pm On Feb 24, 2023
presidency:
Here's What The Branding Guru Mr Leke Alder Says To Start-Ups (New Businesses)

ACADEMY

Entrepreneurship:
Entrepreneurs around the world deserve commendation. They take risks where others fear to tread, they think out of the box, they are not afraid to try new ventures, and they are usually champions of innovation. In a developing country such as Nigeria, the risk is even greater as entrepreneurs assume all the risks and rewards of launching a new business. The high degree of initiative required to manage any enterprise goes to show that entrepreneurship is no mean feat.

Many times, entrepreneurs find themselves struggling in a competitive market. From a business point of view, it’s a case of dog-eat-dog, and the entrepreneur is faced with two major challenges – the need for continuous innovation and the need to maintain enough stability in a rapidly changing environment.

There is a steep learning curve between starting a business and keeping that business alive.

In Nigeria, small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) make up 96% of businesses, according to a survey conducted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC). A study carried out by the Federal Office of Statistics places this figure at 97%. However, they contribute to only approximately 48% of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

How Is Branding Relevant to An Entrepreneur?

Simply put, as an entrepreneur, your brand is your promise to your customer. It tells customers what to expect from your products and services, and it differentiates your offering from your competitors’.

Your brand strategy is how, where, when and to whom you plan on communicating and delivering your brand messages.

Where you advertise is also part of your brand strategy, as are your communication distribution channels. What you communicate visually and verbally is important too.

An effective brand strategy gives you a major edge in competitive markets. Consistent, strategic branding leads to strong brand equity. Brand equity is the added perceived value bestowed on your products or services that allows you to charge more for your brand than what identical, unbranded products command.

How Should Entrepreneurs Brand Their Businesses?

Defining your brand is like a journey of business self-discovery. It can be difficult, time-consuming and uncomfortable. It requires, at the very least, that you answer the following questions:

1. What is your company's mission?
2. What are the benefits and features of your products or services?
3. What do your customers and prospects already think of your company?
4. What qualities do you want them to associate with your company?
5. Do your research. Learn the needs, habits and desires of your current and prospective customers. And don't rely on what you think they think. Find out.
In branding a business, it is also important that entrepreneurs find a “voice” that reflects their business. This “voice” should be applied to all written communication and be incorporated into the visual imagery of all materials relating to the business.

The “voice” should be reflected in the attitude and disposition of all who represent the business. For example, an enterprise with a performing customer service team can be said to be projecting a reliable and efficient “voice”.

There should be a clearly defined vision and mission which drives the operations of the enterprise. To cite a Nigerian example, Guaranty Trust Bank, a leading financial institution, identified a number of problems in Nigeria’s banking sector, and set up shop with the aim of restoring the ethos of service in the banking industry. Today, the bank has positioned itself as Nigeria’s favourite bank for millennials. Guaranty Trust Bank emphasises customer service, visual brand standards and technology.

What Can Be Gathered from All This?
From the thoughts highlighted above, there are a few pointers that budding entrepreneurs should pay attention to:
a) Identify the needs of the market as well as the general perception of the product you are selling.
b) Define your target audience and niche.
c) Have a carefully laid-out mission and vision that guide the business.
d) Develop a “voice” that reflects the direction and spirit of the enterprise.
e) Draw up an efficient strategy that communicates that voice consistently across multiple platforms.

In conclusion, every business needs a brand identity to achieve all-round success in a market that is never short of competition. Every enterprise must have that distinguishing feature that sets it apart from others who provide similar services. From logos to taglines to standards of service, creating a brand identity is necessary to avoid getting lost in the crowd of businesses and service providers.

Leke Alder is credited with introducing branding as a discipline to Nigeria. He is the Principal of Alder Consulting and has consulted on branding and brand policy both locally and internationally.

Attached to this post is the screenshot of my chat, this morning on telegram with my referral.

Believe me, at first I doubt the possibility. Then I decided to take the risk.

Believe me. Not everyone we come across on nairaland are scammer, some are still sincere and have the fear of God in them. Thank you tebi for introducing me to this crypto-currency platform..

Just by earning in the virtual world of NFTs

There are thousands of minters of NFTs who need their works to be publicised and these way their NFT work is recognised and valued in the blockchain industry.... What meta ocean does is to help these minters do that. In return they collect payment. Now metaocean needs different IP address to show that truly these NFTs are being recognised. That's where you and I come in. We click on different NFTs. 10 per day in this case and as we click it's like using out USDT to buy and then we submit which is like selling back. In doing this we get commission in USDT into our Meta ocean TRC20 wallet address.
The NFTs are programmed to give you 0.6% of your USDT for every click.
So basically your deposited usdt you use it to click NFTs which you then submit back and automatically you get 0.6% of the amount of USDT used.

Here are the requirements for work

1. You will need to have a minimum of 58 USDT ( it can be more depending on how much you wish to earn) to mint your NFTs. Please note the money will be in your account, nobody is collecting your money. You can decide to withdraw it or leave it to mint NFTs every day.
2. You must be ready to work everyday
3. You must have Telegram app
4. You must have an online wallet e.g Binance
5. Don't jump the gun anything you don't understand ask me
6. You must be committed to the cause.

For more information you can reach me on my WhatsApp

O pari.Eleyi loud gan!

Adamawa guber has joined the list wink

They have been releasing denials upon denials and disclaimer upon disclaiimer.

Yet Kano lp guber has decamped from lp to APC.

Jigawa lp guber has decamped from lp to APC.

Plateau lp guber has decamped from lp to APC.

Ekiti state lp guber has decamped from lp to APC.

Osun state lp Guber has decamped from lp to PDP.

Zamfara state lp guber has decamped from lp to APC.

Lagos State lp chairman and the whole SW Exco of lp in Yorubaland have decamped from lp to APC, even tearing their lp membership cards publicly.

Everyone, except few Igbo and ipob sympathizers, is leaving lp in droves because it is a sinking ship.

That is what you get when you hire ipob terrorists group members, who burnt down our city in 2020, to back the candidate of your mushroom party.

Las las, after losing the election, they will report themselves to EFCC ni.

yinkslinks:
A carport is an open-sided shelter for an automotive vehicle, usually formed by a roof projecting from a building. Your vehicle is your investment, you don't want to let the elements destroy the paint job.

A carport is a possible solution. Made of metal-most often aluminum or steel.Carports protect vehicles from storms & sunlight. It blocks as much as 98% UV Rays from the sun & it's waterproof. At the same time because they are just a frame & a covering, they have an open feel. It's also more economical to build a carport than it is to build an addition to a garage
