Ramsey is a Cesc Fabregas type of player.
He is being tipped to take over from Scholesy in about 3-4 years.
United linked to Santa Cruz? How old is he?
If he is not 24-26, Ferguson won't buy him unless it's a loan contract or a 1 year rolling contract. grin cheesy

@ Akinalabi,

Ferguson would be given the cook book so he can make Shepherd's pie for Cathy or make british breakfast.

Can u compare what happened last season to any horse race?
United picking 2 points in their 1st 3 games . . . .Losing Rooney, Ronaldo and Saha and everything looked gloomy and bang . .EUROPEAN DOUBLE!!!
Fergie won't leave footie . . . .I am confident of that.

Hughes will def'ly be a better manager because he's got more experience and technical know how of the English football than Avram Grant.
Are u saying Grant could have taken the Blackburn FC team to the position they finished last season with the thin squad?
Compare Santa Cruz to Anelka last season and get back to me . . . . .  Mark Hughes is top draw.
Lil did u know . . . . .he is likely to take over from Ferguson in the next 3 years. cheesy

On what grounds do you think sparky is a better coach than Grant? and even Grant was a stop gap in chelsea's rebuilding process. . I tell you the manager has been chosen and that's the reasons for all the guesses. . very soon the media will run out stories and after then the Manager will be revealed. . .
On the contrary, Chelsea is a lousy outfit.
Nothing remains a secret . . . . even Roman's romp with his girlfriend gets to the media in a matter of millisec.

Mark Hughes is a better manager than Grant . . . . . Their managerial ability should tell u that.

Shevchenko is twice as expensive than the whole Blackburn squad. . . . . Are u aware of that?

You can't compare Sparky to Grant. Grant is a better coach than Sparky! He won trophies as a coach in the Israeli league before coming to England. Sparky on the other hand hasn't won shyte!
Israeli league? Can u hear yourself?
This is why arguing with a Chelskite is a waste of time sometimes. . . . . . .In all those Grade D leagues, any idiot can manage any team to win.
Do u know how many times Porto have won the Portugese league since Jose left? Does that mean the new manager is a genius?

Blimey . . . . I can manage Lyon in France and win the next 3 league titles to make it 10 league titles in a row. It is that easy!
Mark Hughes is in the best football league in the world managing a team outside the top 4 . . . .Can Mourinho lead Blackburn FC to win the Premiership?
Get back to me when u answer that!!!!

If Hughes gets you this sexually aroused, why don't you sack Fergie and employ him. Or better still, go shag him. Either way, I don't give a s'hit. grin grin tongue
The answer is not solely meant for u but for the jews in ur camp. Hughes does not cut it for me but for a small club like Chelsea that cannot fill a 40,000 capacity stadium, he is your messiah.
Is this not the same club that hired a manager without a coaching badge? grin grin grin grin grin
Mark Hughes should be worshipped by y'all. . . . .He wouldn't need to take evening lessons for a badge like Grant did. tongue tongue tongue
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Xerxes4(m): 3:16pm On Jun 03, 2008
@ Razorr,

Just like a typical Chelsea fan. . . . . . .yet anutha heap of trumpery!!!!!

Mark Hughes not winning any title in England yet is not because of his managerial ability but because of the financial power of the BIG 4.
In a league where Eduardo(£16 million) cost more than the whole starting XI of Blackburn FC means Mark Hughes should be commended.
Lets face it, If Avram Grant(without a coaching badge) can take Chelsea to the final day of the season and was a kick away from winning the Champions league title, then anyone with a football brain can manage Chelsea.

The foundation and the set-up Abrahamovic has laid down in Chelsea is top draw. Even if Chelsea employs Onigbinde or Berti Vogts, there's no way any of em can finish below the top 2 in the league. . . . . .Such is the quality in the Chelsea squad from the starting XI to the bench to the reserves!!!!
Bearing this in mind, i think Mark Hughes can take Chelsea higher than Jose Mourinho ever attained if he can make the players PLAY for him. All he has to do is motivate em and the rest will be history.  Avram convinced me totally that Jose Mourinho is overrated.

Nothing is hidden in England. . . . .not a top job like the post of the manager of Chelsea anyways. . . . .People always talk!!!!
As at today, Mark Hughes n another foreign coach are the 2 names left on the shopping list. Guus Hiddink has washed his hands off. He is expected to take Russia to South Africa 2010. Felipe Scolari cannot work in England. . . . He is not a fan of papparazzi and he would get all that if he assumes the position of a Chelsea manager.
Berlusconi will start a world war before he allows Ancellotti to cross the channel and manage Chelsea . . . It's more political than professional.
Rijkaaard? You can try Mario Zagallo instead. grin grin grin

Don't worry about Ronaldo. . . . . .If u have SKYSPORTS, please try and tune in to Ferguson's inverview with Frost at 8pm tonight.
Its a 1 hr interview where he swore Ronaldo will not be moving to Madrid next season and u have to take Fergie seriously.
In Fergie we trust. . . . .he will only sell when he is ready to.
I won't leave the Chelsea thread because u didn't leave United during the Carlos Alberto Tevez saga. . . . . .

@ J-K,

Cathy Ferguson(Sir Alex's wife) will kick Fergie's ass back to OT. She forced Fergie back to football when Fergie announced he would be retiring some years back. She cannot stand Fergie staying at home like a dork so i expect her to convince Fergie by taking an executive job.
The family is more or less a footie family. . . . .his kid is a footie manager, others are football scouts so it runs in the family.

Klass, Berbatov and Alves deals should be tied this month or next. . . . . . .
The cheque book is out so expect to see new signings soon.
United owners(The Glazers) have vowed to release funds for the gaffer to strengthen and he will.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Xerxes4(m): 1:41pm On Jun 03, 2008
Ferguson might leave just before the 2010 World Cup.
I expect Carlos Queiroz to take over with Fergie going upstairs to become a top executive.
The transition would be seamless with no frills n thrills like those Ruskies in West London.
We keep MARCHING ON!!!!!!!

@ Ibime,

U couldn't have put that better.
Mark Hughes is one of the best British managers . . . . The way he has transformed Blackburn in the last 2 years should be well commended.
Signings like Pedersen, Santa Cruz, Benni McCathy and Cristopher Samba are top drawer and for that he deserves some credits.

@ Razorr,

Can u read Ibime's comments. . . . . He said the 2 names left on Chelsea's shortlist is Hughes and Ancellotti. . . . .

It is statements like yours that make Manchester United fans and all our detractors laugh at our club. Don't join the bandwagon of English fans who want to see a British coach at Chelsea.

Most of the Chelsea fans, members of the press and bookmakers who are screaming for Mark Hughes signature are doing so for purely sentimental reasons.
They say Mark Hughes is perfect for Chelsea since he's played for the club, forgetting that he only played very briefly for Chelsea and that was at the end of his career.

Mark hughes is a big Manchester United fan. He has not made this a secret. That is why Manchester City have outrightly rejected him after speculations that they're in talks with him. They know about his ties to Man United.
Do you want a coach who supports Manchester United, our arch rivals?

Hughes or 'Sparky' as he's called in the British media, has achieved nothing in Europe and knows nothing about coaching under pressure against the big clubs and coaches.

He has no Champions league experience and no pedigree whatsoever as a coach in terms of achievements in winning trophies.

Has 'Sparky' won the Premiership? - NO!

Has 'Sparky' won the C/L? - NO!

Has Sparky won the UEFA Cup? - NO!

So what the ferk makes him different from the other average coaches in England?
Chelsea needs a top coach. A winning coach and not an average scumbag like your so-called 'Sparky'!

Manchester United fans like Xerxes are laughing at us and praying we make the mistake of signing a mediocre coach like 'Sparky'!
Don't do them that favor!
Keep deceiving yourself with ur fake postulations.
Peter Kenyon was an executive in Man Utd before he moved to Chelsea . . . Did that stop Chelsea from making him a top exec.?
Kenyon wants Sparky and he has now been tipped to cop the job. . . . . .
Now, pick that out of your NOSTRILS.

Clement Westerhoff is still the king of Nigerian football as far as managing the team is concerned.

He built his team from locally manufactured boys. And watched his boys grow into men. How come ever since his crop of players exited the national team we are yet to assemble another 11 that can send jitters down the spine of an opposing team. His technical management of the team was impeccable. When he analyses Nigerian football on supers sports, it's like listening to someone read from the manual of how the super eagles should function. How many people today would play a Yekini Rashidi on the pitch. Looking at him by sight, he was nothing to write home about.

Till today, we are yet to replace the following player in the national team Sunday Oliseh, Finidi George, Emmanuel Amunike, Daniel Amokachi, Samson Siasia, Tijani Babangida, just to name a few.

The super eagles I grew up knowing is no more. two nil over south Africa and we want to declare public holiday, what happened to them in Ghana. I still regret going to the staduim to see that match.

If westerhoff wants to return to the team, I'll say only in an advisory capacity and not team handler. We need to find some new exceptional players again. What baffles me is that our junior teams are doing way better than the senior team, why?? Is it that the boys expire even before they reach the senior team or what?
I agree with u 100%.
The Super Eagles of Westerhof takes about 2 seconds to turn defence into attack. . . . . The time of travel of the ball from Goalkeeper to Yekini is less than 3-4 seconds. . . . . There's the attacking verve, tenacity and the hunger to score mouth-watering goals.
Oliseh was like Roman Riquelme in 1994. . . . . .One long pass and Yekini controls with his thigh and bang!!!!!!!!
When was the last time we saw that. . . . . .all u get to see today is Martins and Kanu running around like poofs. . . . .

Algiers 90. . . . .
Granted, he lost 5-1 in the opening game but he still pushed the team to the final and lost 0-1 to Algeria(the host country).

Senegal 92. . . .
Nigeria lost to the better side(GHANA). They had the talismanic Abedi Pele who was inarguably the best player in Africa as at then.
They also had Nee Odartey Lamptey. . . . .the young Ghananian who blazed Italia 91(under 17 tournament). He was the Messi of Africa.
There was nuthing Westerhof could have done given the shambolic way our NFA tend to manage the football association.

Italia 90 qualifiers was just ill-luck.
We lost 1-0 to Cameroon in Yaounde. I think the goalie was stretchered out when he lost his tooth.
The replacement didn't even dress for the match and Nigeria crashed out.
However, he took the team to the world cup in the following edition. . . . . beating everyone from Cote D'Ivore to Algeria to fuckver.
He is still Nigeria's most successful manager.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Xerxes4(m): 1:47am On Jun 03, 2008
mystikal:
how honest is that statement?
arsenal is in no worse a position than utd, they're run differently. Utd has a debt of over 600 million pounds courtesy of loans your amreican owners took to finance your player's wages and club activities, which by d way incurred a 81 million percent interest over the year. Arsenal equally has a debt of over 350 million pounds which they're also trying 2 service. Also the money we both pay in player wages doesnt show show much in disparity- utd pays only 3 million pounds more in player wages.
the only major advantage utd have at now is their ability to acquire large loans from financial institutions because of their american owners,
Have u seen the wage structure of both clubs? If u compare that to the revenue/income United generate then u would know Arsenal is in a worse position than Man Utd. If u add the fact that your club is a smaller outfit then u would know those figures in debt is actually a bigger obstacle than United's £600 million debt.

@ Debosky,

Stop saying what u don't know. . . . . .
Don't make me pull out Arsenal's accounts out here tonight.

The latest United reports show that United's turnover is up, wage bill as a percentage of turnover is excellent (being one of very few who meet the Deloitte benchmark ratio of 55%), profits are up and will continue upwards for the next five years.
We are highest earners, highest operating profit, highest match day revenue and an excellent stadium utilisation.
Yes, there is a lot of debt that hasn't been invested in the club but it's easily manageable.
We are better than Arsenal who haven't won a single title in 3 straight seasons.
United are successful OFF and ON the pitch. . . . . Match us if u can!

And he was still the same manager that won the ACN in 1994(14 years after the defunct GREEN EAGLES) won it.
It's not coincidence that he is the last manager to win it. . . . . .
Who was the 1st manager to take Nigeria to the world cup and even qualified for the knock-out stages?
Westerhof made stars out of Finidi, Amuneke, Oliseh, Okocha and many others.
At this point, i think u need to go read and digest more about Nigerian football in the mid-90s.
