From 1960 till date,it seems to be a norm and routine The government in power will steal and even allow their cronies to have their own share of National cake and we the youths are busy online fighting and arguing on Pdp and Apc. I wonder who will redeem us in this country. Our politicians have sold us out at The cost of quarter bag of rice and #1000 that why nobody ask questions again. We keep following them blindly and worst still recycle the old ones among them to continue to rule.
I wonder if ever a new, fresh blood and unknown person will be voted to rule this country exactly the way Donald Trump became the president of America against all odds And what is the result of electing Trump? |

The whole controversy made no sense, NBA suffers colonial hangover. They told firdusi it is a convention not a rule of law yet mund44 has been jumping from thread to thread to shouting it is NBA rule but they said it is convention not even a written rule how does a convention trumps the constitution?
It is clear that we have many terrorists in disguise terrorism in the heart people who will use every means to deprive Muslims of mudane rights others enjoy in other parts of the world, the only thing holding them back is their cowardice.
I repeat is it not Bokoharam when you work hard this hard to deprive Muslims ladies of their rights to education. Cry cry baby. If Boko haram were preventing people from using veil instead of chopping off their heads and bombing them to smithereens. Would North-easterners be living in IDP camps? Farmerforlife: Unclothing herself before strange men is sin. It is not a simple societal norm. It is a temptation to disobedience. Rebellion against useless man-made rules is necessary when the other option is to rebel against our Creator.
Your approach is the same one that Satan used to entice Adam and his wife to disobey God. Congratulations. Freely mingling with men in public is also a sin but she pretend not to know. In fact, according to sunnah, speaking in public is a sin for women because they can lead men astray. True muslim women have no business attending a law school. The hypocrite should have never left her father's house. |

(It is clearly stated that your women should cover their hair) Study your Bible first b4 putting your mouth in what you know nothing about! As expected, Corinthians to the rescue! Why can't you guys stand alone without quoting the bible? The challenge still stands, quote just one verse in the quran that mandates hijab for women. No Genesis or Revelation this time. |

How is an average Nigerian Catholic more religious than an Irish Catholic. How is a Nigerian Anglican more Religious than a British Anglican How is a Nigerian Pentecostal more religious than an American own When you understand the meaning of Identity, you should come back with a reply. I have muslim friends who don't go to mosque and also christian friends who could care less about sunday service. Religiosity and Identity is not so difficult a concept to grasp is it? The mistake some of you make is to compare African Pentecostalism with European Orthodoxy and try to make a direct comparison on religiousity. However when you compare European Catholism with Nigerian Catholism you would discover there is little dinstiction in the level of religiousity. When you compare African Pentecostalism with American Pentecostalism you would see there is little difference. If by catholicism and pentecostalism , you mean the book definition, then there is no difference but in practical terms, they couldn't be more difference. For a large percentage of Europeans, I am a christian is as meaningless as saying I am Igbo, it tells you nothing about that particular person. I dare say the typical Irish catholic is even more radical than the Nigerian one, they wouldn't even allow hospitals carry out abortions even when life is involved. The typical American Evangelical are extremely Prolife, ProIsreal and Anti LGBT.
My point here is there is no peculiarity with Nigerian Christianity apart from the developed Nations. Context is everything, an Irish catholic being radical is a product of political competition and not as a result of deeper faith. Remember, my initial submission was that large scale religiosity is a product of illogicalities everywhere in the world. You are employing straw man argument by trying to debate Nigerian vs European/American christianity when the same ill-education and ignorance is responsible for both. |

ollah1: Sentiments and hypocrisy at it's finest. You have license to quote other people's scripture to justify your own religion but they can't. The people I see quoting others are the muslims. When you challenge any concept in Islam, they rush to find an old testament verse to justify it. |

ollah1: Did you know that it's mandated for Christian women to cover their hair? It's very compulsory and it's in the Bible
1 Corinthians 11:6
For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head.
You criticise and attack Muslim women for covering their according to what their faith mandated for them but ignore it despite been written boldly in your own book Isn't that hypocrisy and bigotey at it's peak?? Mtchew Stop quoting other people's scripture to justify your religion. |
