Romance / 5 Things Desperate Single Ladies Do To Get Married by Xj2020: 6:35am On Apr 26, 2023
Have you ever asked yourself why and how a lady that claims to have boyfriend, fiancee, or a serious relationship suddenly become desperate to get married to anything in trousers

At 27 years, most Nigerian ladies becomes so desperate that as a single man you have to be extremely careful not to fall for their theatrics.
How do you identify these category of ladies

1. They become so religious that they join any of the unit or department in church with the chorister section their favourite destination. They hardly missed any church service or activity 247 of the week.

2. They become very active on social media sites like Facebook and WhatsApp. In particular, you would see them every now and then on WhatsApp status with their heavily filtered pictures dancing or singing. Some of these ladies put up motivational TikTok videos on relationship and marriage.

3. Closely linked to 2 above, is the fact that these set of ladies are in the habit of posting wedding pictures of their friends on WhatsApp status and Facebook. They are also good at posting upcoming church programmes on WhatsApp status or/Facebook.

4. Except you're aware of the unpleasant history of these categories of retired runs girls or olosho you would most likely fall for their tricks. I use to know of a lady that who did unimaginable things with her body but is now claiming holier than thou attitude. Always remember, once an ashawo, always an ashawo. Do not be deceived.

5. Finally, having useless their lives in their primes, these set of ladies have the experience to stuff out a good and goodly man and in most cases are very good in manipulating these SIMPS to commit to their marriage proposal and where possible get pregnant for the idiot as a last resort to called a married woman.

Have you ever asked yourself why bad girls marry good guyz and bad guyz marry good gurls

Most of these ladies transform into bitter feminist while insulting every man out there that dares go contrary to thier opinion like some would do on this thread angry.

On a personal level, I dislike bleached fair ladies as the majority of these ladies are ashawo in disguise with high body counts.

On a final note, I always laugh when I see
the way some SIMP of a husbands celebrate their wives on social media. My reasons are not Farfetch. These hoes aren't loyal so says an American rapper. grin grin grin

The thing dey pain die.
justfriends:
The majority of Nigerian ladies have multiple relationships with different guyz for different reasons and purposes.
My most recent observation shows that it is common for a Nigerian lady to in addition to having a serious boyfriend/fiance (they intend to settle down with), to also having multiple sex partners for some kind of benefits unknown to their main boyfriend or fiance. Why is this so ladies
Family / Re: Marriage Is Overrated. Do You Agree??? by Xj2020: 9:25pm On Dec 04, 2022
The crux of the matter is that the wife wasn't only toxic but has on a particular occasion threatened to kill the man and move on with his kids. Tell me sincerely if you would have stayed in such marriage were your life is being threatened constantly and the wife is always in the habit of collaborating with her family to make the man's life a living hell here on earth? Coupled with the fact that the man had on several occasions tried to save the marriage by preventing her from packing out on slightest provocation either by begging her or using those she respect outside to do same
Richy4:
The way you narrated this story, smile and draw conclusions with reckless abandon is amusing ... smiley

There are millions of people enjoying their marriage and keeping mute about it because good news doesn't sale..

If people on this forum who are enjoying their relationship with their spouses comes up and start opening thread everyday on how God have blessed them with wonderful wife/ husbands... day in day out, Won't you all be rolling your eyes?..I believe some will say... "And So What do you want us to do?"... some will say "are u the first person to be married" and other bla bla bla...

Guy.. just enjoy your bachelorhood when u can because it's your God given right and you deserve it....But don't paint marriage black because it is a beautiful institution... smiley

Sometimes people marry someone meant for another person...and when such happened, u don't blame the institution...

A lot of times, a woman will say to a man no..no.. no.. I don't want you.. my heart doesn't beat for you... they will think she was being an African woman with shakara.. A lot of times the men will take it as a challenge... They will mount pressure on her.. Bringing in all the persuasive skills ever known to man since the creation of Adam just to win her over.. when she finally agrees...Of course I don't need to tell u some of the repercussions... U know..

Op, in the next 9yrs, I am expecting your mumu button pressed by a nice young lady.. by then you will be singing a different song....U might even be ashamed of this your thread smiley

Yes I totally agree that marriage is very overrated. That's why I've decided that I don't want to get married. Rather I just want to have a partner (long term boyfriend) that I can just live with without being married. Marriage is just totally outdated. I want cohabitation not marriage.

Education / Who ASUU Is Really Fighting For by Xj2020: 10:58pm On Jul 28, 2022
https://www.nairaland.com/7248128/ASUU-really-fighting

Someone asked yesterday who ASUU is fighting for?

Answer: ASUU is primarily fighting for the interest of it's members and then other things which form the secondary components. Why fault them for this?

The primary purpose of any trade union is the welfare of it's members. Other objectives are secondary.

Off course the strike action would be suspended not called off if academic staff salaries are enhanced and government implement UTAS.

Like someone rightly observed in the above thread, students have NANS and SUG unions in the various Federal universities. Let them fight for the interest of students.

Unionism shouldn't be all about collecting dues and living extravagant lifestyles.

Let everyone carry their cross.

The students have NANS and SUG unions. They should hold them accountable for their actions. After all, we all saw how NANS president and his excos were romancing Bola Ahmed Tinubu the other day.

Career / Re: The Tales Of A Worried Undergraduate. by Xj2020: 4:52pm On May 27, 2022
Most of my course mates that went back to undertake HND programme after our 1 year IT program ended up as contract workers in new and old generation banks. It was at the second attempt I got admission into a Federal University, bagged a First Class Honours and presently doing great. I was the subject of ridicule for insisting that I must earn a University degree back then kiss
Covenant97:
Good day Nairalanders,

My name is Covenant Ajolore. A level 300 undergraduate student of Accounting in a Federal university in Nigeria.

My reason for writing is to seek advice as well as see others views as regard my current situation.

It dated back some years ago after the completion of my National diploma, graduated with distinction in accountancy from kaduna polytechnic at age 20. After that I went for my 1 year IT which I did in a bank while simultaneously applying for a DE into the university which I did not get twice(no thanks to unilorin) Two years wasted.

Unfortunately, I decide to change based and opt for a school in the North. given my grade and less competition, I got in and started from level 2 at which I was going to be 23 that year.

With high hopes and enthusiasm I thought I was going to complete my degree at age 25 and then had the chance to start a career in the big 4 (this was part of my plan) and hopefully start ICAN during service. But no thanks to Covid 19, and coupled with the current ASUU strike, it is now evident that it won’t be any way possible, and has thus aggravated my fears and stress level, due to the following effect it has on my plans/goals to be achieved.

1. i won’t be qualified for any graduate trainee job which criteria is a 2.1 and 26 years of age.(I am currently on a 4.40 CGPA and yet to write level 3 first semester exams and I am earnestly working towards graduating with a first class so the 2.1 criterion won’t be a hassle for me but the age factor would be).

2.All my course mate during my National diploma days in the polytechnic that has gone back for there HND are now graduates or currently serving.

Given my current predicaments what would be your next line of action or advice if you were to be in my shoes.

PS: The thought of writing ICAN exam is scaring the shit out of me and also life after school. I don’t know if this is common.

The good thing however is that I packed out of the house once my rent expired without making noise and two months after I packed out she died. Imagine if I had stayed longer than expected all in the name of fighting for my right only God knows what would have happened as she had reported me to her children that I was a problem to her even when I had been minding my own business

Very true %
Theknowledge:
The major cause of Nigeria's underdevelopment and stagnancy as a nation it's not lack of competent hands or capacity it's is GREED.

The GREED in the South Eastern part of Nigeria is more heightened than in any other part of Nigeria, I pity the region!

Lecturers are suffering, those people need help- the job has nothing to offer except the ego and big name it comes with- especially the ones in the Federal Government Institutions. Where selling of handouts and text book is prohibited!

My brother has a 12 years work experience with a PhD working as a lecturer and his take is N171,000.

From this money he is expected to
1. Take care of his family and his 2 kids considering the high rise in inflation

2. Publish articles or perish in reputable journals that they charge in $$$

3. Be a man

4. Teach undergraduate and post graduate students and mark their scripts in most classes the minimum amount of student is 250

5. His car is always breaking down lol.

6. Most professors earn less than N400k

Imagine somebody way don starve for about 20 years to be professor, play politics, lick people's butt holes and the rest come be VC you expect them make them no loot generational wealth and flex their wife.

Being a Nigerian police is way more lucrative than being a lecturer in Nigeria, in my opinion!

The legitimate ones they SUFFER cheesy cheesy

Education / Re: ASUU Strike: What's Next If Demands Are Not Met By May 15? by Xj2020: 12:55pm On May 05, 2022
Do you have a statistics of lecturers that take bribes and sale handouts? That some unscrupulous persons engage in these vices, isn't a room for you to generalize. It is foolishness for anyone to assume that all lecturers take bribe and sale handouts. There are hardwoking and honest lecturers in our university system. You guyz should stop exhibiting your foolishness on social media. Corruption is a societal problem in Nigeria at present and cuts across all sectors whether public or private
praz001:
Policemen and soldiers are the least paid. Yes they take bribe but this lecturers sell handouts and still take bribes.

If they are tired of lecturing let the take other profession. If truly the have the interest of the student at heart, let them call off the strike.

The position is divorce when you want to.
The man should get a video evidence of the woman saying it. Even if the court does not use the evidence in his favour, the public will use it to unleash verbal jungle justice on the woman. But the man himself should not be guilty in the marriage oh. He that comes to equity must come with clean hands.

What's the position of Nigeria law on divorce?

I asked because a friend of mine said that his enstranged wife had been boasting, telling him how in the event of a divorce she would take custody of their 3 kids, while my friend take the responsibility of renting and furnishing an apartment for her and the kids in addition to footing every other bills.

Lawyers in house, my friend would like to know the position of the law as it pertains to divorce.

In particular, he would like to know what his rights and responsibilities to his wife and kids would be in a situation that they are divorce.

THANKS in advance.

In addition to the above, my friend would like to know the position of the law as it pertains to the man renting and furnishing an apartment for the woman in a case of divorce.

I received the greatest shock of my life a week ago when a lecturer friend of mine in one of the prestigious Federal University in Nigeria, and a PhD holder in Finance doesn't know what USDT is.

He erroneously assumed that Bitcoin is the sole property of a single individual who is at liberty to shut down the cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) whenever he feels like.

The bottom line is that how could a supposedly guru in Finance who has several published papers in finance related topic under his belt, know nothing about recent advancement in the financial market like the digital currency known as cryptocurrency

I am baffled to know that I am well informed than the majority of my friends in the Department of Finance where this same friend of mine lectures despite not being a financial person or expert.
