"In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory," - 1 Peter 1:6-8

Trusting in people is futile! GOD holds life in HIS hands and rules in the kingdom of men! (Daniel 4:25)

"Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord." - Jeremiah 17:5

"Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish." - Psalm 146:3-4

"I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no savior." - Isaiah 43:11

Religion / Re: Why Do Africans Practice An Unafrican Religion? by xproducer: 7:23am On Jun 11, 2023
@ Op... First, and contrary to your assertion... the first report of the message of the Gospel of the Lord YESHUA, the CHRIST in Africa was through the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts chapter 8... many centuries before the arrival of Europeans on the continent in the 1400s and beyond.

Second, the message of the Gospel is soul-saving and good... but evidently a number of foreigners who brought it were flawed, exhibiting and adding cruelty to the message under the mantra of introducing the threes Cs (Commerce, Civilization and Christianity).

Since the fall of man... “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" - Jeremiah 17:9

Third, all those who have become true believers of/in the Lord YESHUA, the CHRIST and have abandoned extensive idol worship for the only true Almighty GOD often declare... "Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ" - Philippians 3:8

"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." - John 17:3

There is no moral dilemma. That god is probably the most morally repulsive creature in all of literature. That’s not an exaggeration.

* Shall fallen, small mortals dare attempt to pass judgment on the holy Most High GOD?
** Does one know how truly ugly sin is and how bad it gets in one place or another that warrants GOD's righteous judgment... usually after bearing long with them.
*** Should we not all consider GOD's great mercy on those who do not deserve said mercy like the Ninevites in the book of Jonah and all those from the beginning of time who are beneficiaries of the cross / substitutionary death and resurrection of the Lord YESHUA, the MESSIAH?!

Know this... The Sovereign GOD Who made all and IS over all declares:

Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die." - Ezekiel 18:4

"Now see that I, even I, am He, And there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand." - Deuteronomy 32:39

All the while remembering that...

"For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!” - Ezekiel 18:32

"He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He." - Deuteronomy 32:4

"The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works." - Psalm 145:8-9

You made the following statement: "The entire word of GOD is harmonious and consistent... so try, by GOD's grace to look for reasons to believe rather than to doubt.... childlike faith is necessary, not flawed human assertions based in pride or ignorance."

I'm going to press x to doubt the bolded. If its harmonious and consistent as you say then it'll be free from contradictions. It wouldn't say A here and the next minute say B right? Or am i missing the meaning of harmonious and consistent.

If it is explain to me the following, some of which ive mentioned on this thread. Im all ears and open to your views.

1.) Who did Cain and Seth get married to? Its two things its either there were other people which contradicts the story or they married and slept with their sisters as they were the only ones on earth which is a sin and contradicts according to Leviticus 20:19. Was incest not a sin then or it became one later. Did God change his mind? Does he change his mind?

2.) The number of pairs of clean animals that God told Noah to take into the Ark? Genesis 6:19 - 20 says 2, Genesis 7:2 says 7. That's not harmonious and consistent is it??

3.) In GEN 6 v 3, God reduced the life span of man to 120yrs. But in Gen 11 v 12 -16 in events after the reduction, it lists a lot of people that lived past 120... So... Quite contradictory... Or did God change his mind. Does he change his mind?

4.) About the laws of Moses been usefu? Yes “All scripture is... profitable...” 2 Timothy 3:16. No. “ . . . A former commandment is set aside because of its weakness and uselessness... “(Hebrews 7:18). Which is it?

5.) No one has ever seen God 1 John 4:12

No man has seen or can see God 1 Timothy 6:16

But The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day Genesis 18:1.

The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend Exodus 33:11.

All these dont look harmonious and consistent to me, they look like contradictions 3xcept u can explain them away to which ill say shoot. But I seriously doubt that. There are so many more ive come across with no one able to explain. Instead they get angry and defensive, resulting to ad hominems like u have. If u can explain these few be my guest. Ill be happy to gain understanding.

+++++

I will respond to at least a couple of points to establish your miscomprehension, thus summarily and incorrectly concluding and attributing to the Holy Bible... fallibility.

Also... how have I engaged in ad hominem attacks, that is, attacks "directed against a person rather than the position they are maintaining."? I have no interest is such... only in sharing the word of GOD in truth so that others can benefit.

1. Clearly the children of Adam and Eve would have to have intermarried, and so on... something that was not only genetically different prior to the flood, but the law regarding the impermissibility of such wasn't given until approximately 2, 500 years later! In the meantime GOD commanded humankind to multiply!

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” - Genesis 1:27-28

"Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound...." - Romans 5:20

So, you argument is moot on this point.

.........................

5. No one living on this planet can see or has seen GOD in person in HIS full Glory because GOD said "...for no man shall see Me, and live.
” - Exodus 33:20... Also, "Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father." - John 6:46, and "And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form." - John 5:38

However GOD, in mercifully interacting with HIS creatures - at our level - allowed Himself to be seen in pertinent part:

"And the Lord said, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.” - Exodus 33:21-23

... and more prominently as a Christophany - an appearance or non-physical manifestation of Christ, or HIS Theophany or Incarnation in both the old and new testaments accounts

Appearance to Abraham - Genesis 18:1
Appearance with and to save Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace - Daniel 3:16-28
Appearance to Samson's parents - Genesis 13:18-22
Appearance to Joshua - Joshua 5:13-14

As well as appearances throughout HIS incarnation, including after HIS resurrection....
"Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?" - John 14:9

Conclusion - you must either understand within context or parabolically - by GOD's grace - to understand and agree with the Holy Bible and its harmonious infallibility. So, let us humbly pray that the Lord GOD will mercifully reveals HIS truths to us for our benefit and HIS glory!

"But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." - 1 Corinthians 2:14
Religion / Re: Why Does The Bible Contradict Itself? by xproducer: 8:18pm On Jun 08, 2023
Lucifyre:
Normally you hear the bible is God's word given and written by divine inspiration, so most people take it as God's words literally which it is said to be. So if it's God's words and "God is not an author of confusion", wouldn't the bible literally NOT contradict itself?! So i wanted to do the whole bible in a year thing and ive began to notice some things just don't add up and in good faith i'ld like open minded christians(those who read their bibles not my pastor said), if there are any here to explain these things to me.

I think most of these contradictions have contributed to the several denominations(10,000+) of Christianity even though they claim to hear from one God. They have different doctrines and interpret the bible differntly while hearing from the same God. With the massive irony being that they don't even agree with the religion where they originated from which is Judaism as jews don't believe in Jesus and Jesus was a jew so they stick to the old testament. Even christians generally don't unanimously agree on the books included in the bible. Some are totally removed while some extraz are added in some denominations e.g Catholic

Sorry for the tangent but anyways the main iss is i'm trying to make sense of some of these things that don't add up or are contradictions. I'll share one today to discuss and more later.

According to the bible, Adam was the first man on earth, while Eve the first woman. They birhted the first procreated people Cain and Abel. We all know what went down between them. After cain killed Abel, God cursed him and put a mark on him. Here's the part i can't explain (GEN 4 v 13-16). Cain made the following statement: "Whoever finds me would kill me" and God responded “Not so; anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.” Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him.

If they're the first people on earth who are these other people that are being referred to that could find and kill Cain

-----------

Adam lived for 930 years (Genesis 5:5)... don't you think that he fathered many children, who in turn fathered many children and children within those centuries and beyond... some of whom would be Cain's contemporaries who could pose this harm to him especially if he would live for hundreds of years himself.

The entire word of GOD is harmonious and consistent... so try, by GOD's grace to look for reasons to believe rather than to doubt.... childlike faith is necessary, not flawed human assertions based in pride or ignorance.

"To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled." - Titus 1:15

"The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times." - Psalm 12:6

Yeah just curious about this issues that people believe it’s God that make some people to be rich. Imagine all our politicians we say that are rich while we know they steal public funds. Some shady deals people do that makes them rich.

Look at Tinubu with so many controversy surrounding his wealth. Can we say it’s God that bless him? Someone working in CBN that can just print so much money for himself and just be rich. He doesn’t have to pray to get it.

"Behold, these are the ungodly, Who are always at ease; They increase in riches. Surely I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence. For all day long I have been plagued, and chastened every morning. If I had said, 'I will speak thus,' Behold, I would have been untrue to the generation of Your children. When I thought how to understand this, It was too painful for me— Until I went into the sanctuary of God; Then I understood their end. Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down to destruction. Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors." - Psalm 73:12-19

While growing up, I used to be pious and chaste. I grew up in a Catholic family. I joined the Alter Boys Association early on in life. I grew up with the nascent feeling of wanting to be a priest. My mum encouraged me on the aforementioned subject. I went on to act as Jesus Christ in the passion of Christ acted in my church. Parishioners gave me the sobriquet 'jesus' for the role I played. I tried to be active in Church and joined the Board of Lectors due to my eloquence. I took up different leadership positions

Everything would change for the worse after going into the higher institution. I could not manage my independence well. I learnt masturbation, after which gambling. Most recently I went into the habit of patronising promiscuous women in return for sexual pleasure. I also engage in mischief for my own personal aggrandisement.

Things of God no longer excites me. Hard to pray or dress up to church. But call me for flirting or partying and see me euphoric. I know I need to change but the influence of the contemporary world is strong.

Cry out to the Lord GOD daily for mercy and strength to obey HIS word the Bible (Psalm 51:17) -

"Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." - Hebrews 4:14-16

Just look at the cross to have an idea of how serious sin is. Not a game

For one's own sake... stay close to GOD by staying in the infallible word of GOD and in prayer (Matthew 26:41)!

Religion / Re: The Concept Of SIN: Islam Versus Christianity by xproducer: 4:14pm On May 14, 2023
Both Islam and Christianity agree about the definition of SIN:
Sin can generally be defined as a VIOLATION of God's instructions or command.

Other than this, there is a wide gap between the understanding of the GRAVITY of SIN by Christians and Muslims.

Islam:
A. Muslims usually see SIN as TRIVIAL such that it takes NOTHING from God to OVERLOOK the Sin of a Person.
B. For Muslims, there SIN is in graduations. There are small Sins and Big Sins of which the biggest is Shirk (associating partners with Allah)

Christians:
A. For the Christians, SIN is the most Grevious Offence a Human being can commit AND thus a Sinner CANNOT escape PUNISHMENT.
B. There is NO Big Sin or Small Sin before God as ALL Sin have an INFINITE consequence.

FOR COMPARISON PURPOSE:
In other words (for the Muslim Readers), the Christians are saying that SIN is the VIOLATION of the Kunfayakun (Power of Command or Decree: BE!) of God!
In other words, the Power of the Kunfayakun of God FAILS anytime Sin is Committed by a Person.

1. Sin is a CONTAMINANT
I will have to explain the Concept of SIN in Christianity as it is completely different from the Concept of SIN in Islam. Sin is not just what we have done that is not right but a CONTAMINANT!

The Bible describes our Bodies as Houses or Containers (Cup, Plate etc) for the Spirit of God.

1Cor 6:19:
"Or have ye not known that your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God, and ye are not your own?"

Violation of God's Rule for Mankind is called SIN. SIN Contaminate our Bodies just as Human Excrement contaminates a vessel for eating.

2. All Human Beings are Sinners by Nature!
In other words like a drug addict must have cravings for drugs so all human beings have cravings for Sin.
Just as a Piglet inherits non chalance attitude to filth from its parents, as humans we have inherited the nature to sin from Adam.

We were Born SELFISH at birth and this. Is the ROOT cause of ALL Sin.

It is this the REASON why you don't have to specially COACH any baby how to LIE or STEAL or FORNICATE. It comes naturally to us while DOING Gods will is extremely difficult for us.

Rom 3:23:
"for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

We cannot by any means share eternally with God his Paradise

3. Sin MUST be PUNISHED
Every Sinner is called Wicked in the Bible

Prov 11:21:
"Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered."

Isa 1:28:
"And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed."

Rev 20:15:
"And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

4. The Magnitude of SIN is INFINITELY Large
The WEIGHT of Sin is INFINITELY LARGE:
1. Meaning that there is NOTHING like Small Sin or Big Sin. Sin is SIN.
2. The Judgement of SIN is INFINITELY LARGE. This is why the Judgement of Hell is eternal
3. The COST of Atonement for Sin is INFINITELY LARGE and the Sinner must thus be Punished!

5. The Punishment of Sin is INFINITELY Large
Because the weight of sin is INFINITELY Large, there is NOTHING we can do as humans to right the error of Sin Against God. What is done is done and it cannot be undone.

ONLY God has the Power to take our contaminated LIFE and wash it by HIMSELF with His OWN Detergent and Bleach and to His OWN Satisfaction
This requirement is fulfilled in the blood of Jesus.

Heb 9:22:
"And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission (forgiveness of sin)."

Finally, Jesus said:
John 3:36:
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."

John 6:40:
"And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life : and I will raise him up at the last day."

Questions:
1. Do you have ANY Questions for TenQ?
2. Do you have any correction of the Islamic stand of sin or explanations regarding it?
3. Do you think it is possible to UNDO a sin after it had been committed and How?

I invite you to the Messiah: He's the INFINITE cost of payment for the judgment against your Sin.

His Gift of Freedom is yours through FAITH in God's SOLUTION and turning around to live your Life to Honour Him

This above is what is called:
Accepting Jesus as Saviour AND
Accepting Jesus as Lord

@ "kobo.."?!

Is all you convey on this forum not simply gibberish? The definition of gibberish is "unintelligible or meaningless language" and/or "pretentious or needlessly obscure language"

So, waste not your time... The Lord GOD reigns!

I want you to, particularly before you ever go on a post-responding rampage - to remember this word of GOD!

I Corinthians 13:1-13 NKJV

"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.

For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

You either lack comprehensive understanding of the Scriptures or simply being Pharisiac.
The righteous who will be rewarded are the saved who demonstrate such through their good works after salvation.
The sinners who will be punished are those who are not saved as at death and as such lack the commensurate heaven-made righteousness to prove such while still on the earth.

@FreedomfromtheT - friend, you are spot on... Praise GOD! "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." - Ephesians 2:8-10

The "user" you are debating does not appear to understand the Gospel of CHRIST, or perhaps he deliberately intends to oppose and confuse folks... or perhaps he/it is even a bot!

The Lord YESHUA, the CHRIST is Wonderful (Isaiah 9:6)...

The point in quoting from the Holy Bible is that everything that is in dispute (by the op and those like him) is a misapprehension of truth and either way, does not negate all the Holy Scripture that I quoted... plus, it puts the reader on notice about their error!

When all is said and done what does one say to one's MAKER, particularly in light of all HIS merciful revelations to mankind? Tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone.

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened." - Romans 1:18-21

The Parable of the Sower Explained
“Therefore hear the parable of the sower: When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” - Matthew 13:18-23

The gifts of the Almighty HOLY SPIRIT are diverse, given to each person who belongs to HIM, as it pleases GOD!

1 Corinthians 12:7-11
New King James Version

"But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills."

1. Jesus Christ clothes His own in the same God's Armor that He alone is meant to wear. Where exactly is that indicated or written? undecided

2. The verse you quote speaks of raiment — clothing — not armor. So where exactly did Jesus Christ state that all those who belong to Him would be clothed for battle much like He is by Him? undecided

3. Jesus Christ Himself stated that He had already overcome the enemy on the behalf of His followers. Additionally, He gave to His own, His peace, to buttress them extra through suffering and tribulation meaning they have no battles to fight. So, when you tell folks to fight battles, that directly contradicts Jesus Christ, don't you see? undecided

"But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will." - 2 Timothy 2:23-26

The Redeemer, The Lord YESHUA, the CHRIST... does it all... HE clothes HIS own!

Your position is antichrist because Jesus told us severally He would judge us according to our works. You cannot know more than Jesus who paid the price for ours sins with His blood concerning what He requires from us to be saved. If you don't believe that works play a crucial role in our salvation, you don't believe in what Jesus says.

++++++++

Clearly you have not understood... but I pray that you do.

GOD Who works in His own, whom He alone saves, is the only Holy One Who will be glorified!

"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." - Philippians 2:13

Good works are a good thing and are encouraged, but know that works can never save a person from damnation! Why... because "all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags"! (Isaiah 64:6)

Go and read the parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector in Luke 18:9-14!...

The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector
"Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” - Luke 18:9-14
What Saved The Thief On The Cross?

It wasn't just faith but good works that saved the thief on the cross.

He didn't just put his faith in Jesus and pray for Jesus to remember him as many erroneously think. He did much more than that!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I applaud your attempt to bring attention to this event... praise GOD!

I would just remind you that there isn't a single work that we as human beings do or can do that contributes to our salvation... it is by GOD's election and grace alone (John 1:12-13). The good works GOD does in us after He saves us.

Picture all of humanity, dead in trespasses and sins, in a pit since the fall of mankind. GOD must reach into said pit and breathe life via HIs Holy Word in those whom He will... then we respond to GOD.

Ephesians 2:1
By Grace Through Faith
"And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins"

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9

The Judgment Seat of Christ

"Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences." - 2 Corinthians 5:9-11
