Be positive in ur reasoning Nothing to be positive about this kind of program. I have participated in so many of it with nothing come out. The money will only be share by those in charge of the program. All they do is to register many names and give them 100k each and ask them to send back the balance. There was this government grant that a man registered every members of his family, friends and everyone close to him. He cash out so big that he built houses every where back then. This kind of program can never work in the midst of chronic set of greedy unpatriotic people called Nigerians. It is better for government to subsidy petrol, dollar or food for all to benefit than this kind of program. |

A woman worth her salt will not fall into the hands of elements like this
If you hang out with men based on material gratification like iphone 16 then you will fall into their trap because those are the things they use to lure their prey. High value women will not fall because from conversing with him you can already tell that he has nothing meaningful to offer.
We women should upgrade ourselves. Any girl can be use by these evil men. Just advise your fellow women to stop dating rich guys with no or genuine source of income. Also train your daughters how to be self sufficient and teach them to value mature men with purpose and good characters over frivolities. |

IPIGSRSHALLOW: You are already like them. Nigerian politicians are just a good representation of the Nigerian society. They are not different from the average Nigerian. I don't understand why people expect their politicians to be different from themselves. Your government is a microcosm of your society.
When Nigeria is full of good people, then the politicians will also be good. God bless you man. Nigerians are too greedy to be patriotic. Many people forgot that the so called leaders emanated from the same society, they were once like you and i. That heartless/greed starts from our nuclear families until it reach leadership positions. You will see a very wealthy man worth millions but his siblings would be struggling to feed, some will not even take care of their own parents. Is it the same set of people you expect to have feeling for a larger society? It is so terrible that an average black man would rather stole what is meant for development of his home and take it to another man's land to enjoy alone. So, if a white man call us Baboon, we should actually accept the fact that we might be ones. I laugh when I hear people saying Nigeria or Africa would be better. It is our culture, it is our traditions and way of life, it is what we are. We can't help it but to accept the reality. |

I remember two neighbors in my compound that do like Bestie one night I came back around 11pm see fight. Wife on wife, husband on husband. I passed them and entered my flat. Like I didn’t even see them.. avoiding human can be a source of peace of mind. I am not forcing my opinion on you but Mark this post today, if you don't change your way, experience may teach you a bitter lesson someday. You takes live too seriously, your neighbors shouldn't be your enemies or people you won't greet. I don't mingle with my neighbours too, they knew absolutely nothing about me and my family but greeting and that short conversation when problem arise at surroundings is not too much to do with people who are the next person to save you before your people arrive. This kind of attitude shouldn't be allow in the compound. Imagine walking off people fighting as if you don't see them. What if one of them die in the process. If you are the type of person they respect, your "ENOUGH" OR "IS OK" can practical end their fight and stop the aggression. What if you are the one in such danger and they ignore you until they kill you inside your apartment? Let die this matter abeg. |

Get a mini store around 500k, secure it well with 500k, load pop cement and it's components with 5 million then u are good to go( person dey do am beside me here n I can bet u that woman doesn't have 6 million anywhere)
Get a shop of 300, use 200 to set it up. Load foodstuffs like rice, ororo, tomato paste n co worth 5 million n u will make more than 30k per day( no argue this one na my wife business)
Get fairly used keke napep grade A around 800k, buy 6 that's around 4.8 million, love-vendor it to taste with 800k n register it then give it out for daily delivery
Get shop around 500, load phone accessories, power banks, n other electrical home appliances in a busy location with 5 million n make cool cash
U can see I am only talking about business n I am not even talking about handwork cos that one na boomer
What about opening a paint shop? Opening a shop for bricklayers equipment n even rent? What about boutique in a busy location
I don't understand this our so called Nigeria youth, is it that u people are acting intentionally blind or u just are too blind to see opportunities around u
See my brother in law finished service and he searched for job but all to no avail, family raised 1.8 million for him. I know for u saying 6 million is too small u won't even collect 1.8 million from them
He took d money
Rent n love-vendor shop 400 Solar for charging 600 Furniture 100 POS 600
The guy is making a minimum of 7k per day n he told me he's looking at photocopy, wait n get passport n d likes soonest if his money don complete
Imagine someone making a minimum of 7k per day with 1.8 million n u are here telling me 6 million will not do anything
If u have that 6 million send it to me n I will b giving u at least 150k for a start per month
Even if u no get up to 6 million try it with me n I will pay u steady daily
I think say Una dey whyne us sha cos market wen I Dey sell, I no sure say people get 6 million n they are doing fine
Try it first Lolz, I won't argue much with you because you seems so sure about the business you imagined they give much return. I have done one of the businesses you listed, and I can tell you it is not what you think. Secondly, I am not really sure you are abreast with the current economic reality, otherwise, you won't mention anything transport, boutique, phone accessories and paint shop. The only two I will partially agree with you is food stuff and POS/phone charging. And even with that, the business is already saturated, and you are not the only one selling. You will still make money but telling me you will make 30k conistently per day is very much exaggerated. I know people that sell wholesale foods, infact if you don't have direct excess to smuggling, you can make just #2000 on a bag of rice that is almost 100k now. Same go with beans and other foodstuffs. The reality is that, business is no longer profitable like before, and If you chose to increase your price to level up, people won't buy. They will simply go for alternative or no buy at all. For instance, a good you sold 10k and make 1k profit before Tinubu economy, you will sell the same good 40k and make less than 1k profit now. The current reality is that, your 6 millions will only buy you few items with less profit compare to when you can used the same 6 millions to fill your store and make big profits. And as an entrepreneur, if you don't make reasonable profit to cover your expenses, you may end up spending your business capital to make an end meet. Besides, you talked about your wife making 30k and your cousin 7k per day, yes I will agree with you but I want you to know that they won't tell you the day they made nothing or less than 10% of that. I am a business person to the core, and I can categorically tell you that you need a good financial backup(good loan, assets or personal fund) to survive or stay afloat in this present economy. God be my witness, what I bought last week is now increased by 47k when I went back this morning. Tell me where I will get the money to buy new stock if I don't have a little financial backup? Sometimes, you won't even have money to buy what you use to used to buy, upon the less profit you make on expensive products. If 26m can give you work permit in Western country, it is much more better to go and save your #1m($600) per month and live a good life than hoping for unrealistic business proceed that may not be consistent or eventually swallow by hard economic policy. |

happney65: Soludo is saying the truth. But because most of us do not know the true situation of things we can blarb.
The truth of the matter is that if you want local government autonomy of whatever you call it,you have to change the constitution completely. Even the constitution says the LG is under the control of the state government.
Worldwide there is nowhere there is 3 federating units. It is always two. The Federal and state.
In a true federalism like it's practised in the US. The LG is under the control of the states. The US has over 80,000LG and states create LG as they wish.
Here in Nigeria, coupled with the fact that the money being given to the LG are not even enough to pay salaries and that is why the states created joint LG accounts to offset the bills of LG since 1999.
All states have been offsetting the bills of LG because even the money they collect isn't up to anything Did you read his reason or just want to be intentionally ignorant. It is all about local government fund and nothing else. What choas was the thief talking about? If there is any crisis in a LG, it is your responsibility to provide security for them, just like FG do to the states. Besides, there are tasks or functions belong to each tier of governments all over Nigeria. For instance, within a particular state, there are separate roads belong to Federal, state and local governments respectively. What is so difficult for these fools of governors to allow LG perform their constitutional function withiout tampering with their accounts. |

That's how it is when you marry money. Of course. If she had any dignity, she wouldn't behave like this. She would pack her things and leave him. Of course that's hard because she's worth nothing without him. Stop painting women black for not leaving their marital homes because of a mare frivolous thing. It is quite unfortunate that you guys think it is that easy to leave a family you both decided to build. A family of 4 needs more than that to live moderately good life in Nigeria. That 6 millions can't start a good business now, except you are talking about online business. I used to think that way before until I realised you can't break even in this current harsh business environment if you don't have huge financial backing. 26 millions naira is not much, it would be better for anyone to use it to enter a good Western country if that is enough. Meanwhile smugglers are still smuggling and it's even still lucrative for them because when they get paid in other currencies, they make good money cos our Naira has been become useless. Example 200 Ghana Cedis is N20800 so tell me where the wisdom of removing the subsidy is and what did they do with the subsidy money? Removal of fuel subsidy was not even a major factor contributing to the current hardship but floating of Dollar/Naira. If not for that stupid policy, petrol would still be around #300 per litre after subsidy removal. Rice and many other stable food would still be at affordable level. |
