In this era where and when the world is working in blocks to foster trade agreements Ghana goes the opposite. Under the ECOWAS accord there ought to be freedom of people and goods within the shores of west Africa without curb. This will definitely affect Ghana more than it will affect Nigerians; and Africa even more. They are trying to make their environment less competitive so Ghanaians can be empowered, that is good in theory but not so good practically. You do not have to take Mr. Adam down to elevate Mr. Moses. If Mr. Moses is lazy, you teach him to be hardworking because if you eliminate Mr Adam, Mr. Moses becomes more indolent but no Adam to prove that. Ghanaians should have learnt from hardworking Nigerians in their shores and compete with them. If they cannot compete with them, it means they have a problem and cannot succeed globally. This decision is a mistake on the part of President John Attah, he should have concealed his hatred for Nigerians and look at the bright side. Africans are confused on how to go about growth and compete with Asia or Europe, this cannot be done until there is an inside Market which will be possible in a free trade environment. As for Nigerians, we have a Market base of 150 million. I want to use this platform to appeal to all Nigerians affected by this try out to come home and invest here. Do not be afraid you will make it; I do not see what you can do in Ghana that you cannot do here. |
You bully someone to step down by force because you disagree with them. what a smart way to gain authority and folks keep wondering how we came to this. We cannot move forward not until we learn to play politics in a civil manner. Since it is do or die, hooligans will keep finding their way to the top. |
who funded the students that stormed No. 22, Oke-Ilewo Road to destroy IBB's campaign? self funded. I do not think so they came with six buses and I am certain someone is behind this. They ought to be in police custody, I mean the students if Nigeria knows herself. Under the Nigeria Constitution IBB has a right to contest, so do I, he has right to associate and converge . I am sure the campaign did not trespass on anyone’s property EVEN if they did students are not in the right position to open the book. It is not necessary to say I am not a supporter of IBB but I will declare it here and now. Personally, I think he is bad news and has nothing to offer- this is my opinion and I do not expect everyone to share that with me. I will register my view on Election Day- that is the beauty of democracy. You do not have to bully someone with unlike opinion, the voting will tell who is the people’s choice. It is funny how we support the politics of “anything goes” just because we are at the receiving end. The Nigerian way of intimidating an opponent is arrant nonsense- illegal in a democratic setting and shows how immature we are collectively. |
cool ride |
Nice ride. is it in Nigeria now? and whats the last price pls? |
Would you be so nice to write out the details . . Fuel and model year? also the last price? |
~Bluetooth:I couldn't have said that any better. oba of Benin should curse political criminals who plunge this beautiful Nation into perpetual poverty. He should curse the governor or local government chairman that took public funds for person use, he should place a spell on those who are destroying this beautiful land called Nigeria. If he is any educated he should understand that it is the actions of the politicians that provoked kidnappers, fraud and all the actions that has brought disrepute to Benin and Nigeria at large - he should seek to solve the problem from the motives. He is only selling fear and i am not buying that, we know fear is a great feeling, even greater that love buy poverty is real and when one is hungry he has no time for any feeling, be it fear or love. Hunger has made people in the past to see death and walk through it, starvation has no control-laws or respect for any gods. People can eat food meant for little gods because of hunger- now oba of benin comes on to sell out fear in the existence of poverty - his advisers must be deluded. I have just enough respect for the bini kingdom even though there is no such thing in Nigeria constitution - i am still trying to figure out the use of traditional rulers on the positive side. We know they are keepers of tradition and customs but in the present situation i must say traditional rulers failed to invoke their authorities for good use. I can imagine Oba of Bini placing a curse on actions propelled by poverty, while he remain silent on actions driven by selfishness that has placed this Nation on perpetual poverty, such a bad choice for the Oba though. Where are the great men of this time, I read about Oba Ovonramwen Nogbaisi and i was trilled. I have a theory i would like to share on this platform. These traditional rulers are been paid by politicians, maybe salaries or royalties, i have never seen a poor traditional ruler, their wealth are relative to the kingdom they cover. You cannot condemn your payer, it doesn't work that way. We have a great deal of traditional rulers in Nigeria- (recently one from ibo was accused of aiding kidnap)- and we are living like we have no person that can invoke moral authorities. Damn these traditional rulers God is the only answer |
LOL . . Atiku will waste all the money he stole, he is trying to gain Igbo's support just like he dear friend IBB. |
He is trying to be relevant |
vickkyza:I thought there was a ban on model that exceeds 8 yrs . . or is that policy not in effect? |
She has my vote. |
This is licence on the part of EFCC |
What garbage. . is this really happening? . , EFCC should responsible for bringing financial criminals to book - when someone is suspected to have committed a crime the court has to pronounce judgment after looking at the evidence , that Waziri of a woman has no right to bar anyone from contesting because they are believed to be corrupt, if they are corrupt arrest them and bring them to book. Is she retarded or what . . EFCC has no right whatever to assume the position of the constitution. That woman should be sued for making such statement I’m beginning to think GJ would make another OBJ. |

This is a country that conducted 3 general elections for the past 11 years, now Jega's proposal takes us back to the inception. Iwu's softwares were substandard - what about the laptops? Were Iwu's laptops also substandard? or there were none . . Not until we learn how to do things right with proper accountability, revisiting of bygone issues will remain the center of our priority. |
Not again |
hmmm |
Whats the big deal? Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu has a right to support any presidential candidate just as IBB has a constitutional right to run for presidency. . . Ikemba of Nnewi does not represent the voice of the igbos for God's sake. The performance of his party in the region will support my claim. It is not right to bully candidates out of presidential race . . the race should be open to any qualified person . . . If i understand correctly Atiku, IBB, Buhari, pastor Okotie and the rest of them are qualified, so let them run so we choose . , |
I am planing on starting a Newspaper-periodical publication. I am on the stage of research and the only problem now is the marketing structure . . Please drop any idea . . I appreciate |
mekuszyx:So thats your own contentment? when an Igbo man replaces a yoruba man . . |
I would love to see this one. |

I am a fan of Cecilia Ibru but i think she messed up and fault her management style after i read her report. . plus Erastus Akingbola. Sure if they did what they were accused of then they are bunch of disappointment . . I will never try to sugar coat that. I also think Sanusi is too immature for that job . . attributing the crippled economy to his policies is been fair and polite, his approach brought the economy to its kneels. . If there are speculations (just rumour) of a strong financial institution loosing its ground even though it is just hearsay if that information isn't controlled that institution could actually sink based on the rumour. . This is where information becomes a problem, there are some sensitive information the public cannot handle- this is where information matters especially information from the apex of authority. Information is everything pronouncement of wars are verbal or written expression so is independent . Control of information is how some coups are won without a bullet. . . You can do the right thing the wrong way . . It is never what you do but how its done- - as a doctor you can create panic that kills your patient faster than any sickness and you can also make HIV patients live longer and sound as they would never had been - - It is all approach. Yes Sanusi's approach is why i would advocate for his sack , who cares about the reform? not the common man. . that's his job and it is also his job to bring confidence into the economy -- he knows only part of his duty I fault him not because of his policies but his approach-- his policies are not the reason for no confidence in our banks, if he knows his job then his clean up duty should bring confidence, his policies are not the reason why banks are holding back funds but his approach-- his policies are not the reason for job loss-- no it is not his policies, they are designed to make the sector stronger not weaken but i tell you this day INFORMATION can weaken any sector faster than anything . . It is the approach, the path he took . . Why does he have to govern such a sensitive position through the media? why do we have to debate Sanusi's policies like its a political issue . . this guy should be an economic expatriate not a politician. . He shouldn't be on TV |
I am on my way . . . |
Who Is Sanusi Lamido Sanusi? He is the person behind mass sack in the banking sector/crippled economy we experienced for over a year now, |
I would prefer a two horse race |
Sure OBJ was better than Yaradua by 10 miles . |
chidichris:No one is untouchable . . you are a typical Nigerian, plus i don't like people who think living abroad is a privilege . . And why do you have to take it so personal by bringing me into the picture? I would guess my first post was directed to folks like you and i don't even know you . , . . .and for your information am not in Nigeria - am schooling in UK, Now Let me fault your logic, so you are saying because saro wiwa was killed we should all keep quiet to avoid been killed. Why don't you read history and see how Americans, France and other great nations took their freedom. . why don't you . . huh . .you mentioned God- the bible said the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force. . I have to point out this is not my take on the issue am just faulting your logic. Go and educate yourself on social construct- on how the people indirectly reflect what comes their way . . The type of governmtnt we have is what we bargained for, if we honestly need change we can have it . .Not until you know you are the problem, the government will never change. Most folks travel abroad and do the right thing, but they come back home and do the exact opposite . . some people would do community services abroad while Nigeria is in need of that. It is easy to point fingers (Nigeria is a disgrace, our government is bad) but it will be rather hard to see your part of the problem- to look inward and tell yourself i am the problem, we are the problem- me and you. that is the truth and this is my opinion . . |
I do not think there is anything wrong if the government of Ghana decide to introduce measures of protecting her business environment. The only issue to me is the ECOWAS treaty . . this provision goes against an article in the ECOWAS agreement, but which is more important Ghana govt? Protecting her citizens or adhering to the Ecowas treaty . |
~Bluetooth:Let me unwrap this ! ! You are trying to say PDP and SDP were generally accepted because they are national parties without ethnic considerations . In other words Nigerians would frown to political parties/policies that are based on ethnic ideologies even the host communities would frown at these parties, ok you've said it all, now you can see the inconsistency in your post, you claim the northerners run things in Nigeria yet you branded NRC a norther party. NRC(NORTHERN IDEOLOGY) loosed the 1993 pool even in the north to a national party- also ANPP a northern ideology isn't dong that well- the national parties are dong fine from your analysis. Can you relate now .? If you really believe your post then you should also know Nigerian are not tribalist cus that's the hidden message in your post. If that was to be the case, all northerners would vote for a northern party and the west would do the same. Now this is my contention- Nigerians are not as ethic conscious as we think, the political elites deceived us into believing we are for their interest hence we could have a normal process that rewards substance to ethicist/zoning nonsense. With respect to your closing statement, we all know the right thing- give us credible elections where just anyone can contest and win. If we do things right we don't have to worry about our president's zone or ethnicity . . let the people decide |
