I'm glad I'm not the only one that notices this. It's not a problem exclusive to Nigeria and Nigerians but to African people and the black race in general. Our inability to think logically and rationally is the reason for our stunted growth and progress. I know I'm going to upset a lot of folks on here but......the dogma and rigidness of religion is one of the main causes for African idiocy.

This statement should be taken seriously. Muslim Northerners have visions of expansion just like Usman Dan Fodio and his son Abdullah. I fear for the Yorubas the most because they seem to be ignorant and asleep as to the threat Fulanis pose to their homeland.

clearly the 3 largest ethnic groups in Nigeria are (in no order) Hausa-Fulani, Yoruba and Igbo

Anyways, didn't mean to offend you, I respect the Yorubas and Igbos an have read a lot but your culture but it does seem like Yorubas just like Igbos seem to talk a lot and do nothing. Fulani hordes are invading your territory and very soon will make claims to your land. History is repeating itself. What do you intend to do about it?

I would first like to say that I am a Ghanaman so I am partial in any and everything that goes on in Nigerian politics. But I have to call out the inconsistency in the arguments of many Igbos,  who claim that the Yorubas betrayed them during the Biafran war, yet at the same time claim that they are and always have been eternal enemies with them. Yorubas were never a part of Biafra and there was no alliance or consultation as to possible outcomes (as far as I'm concerned).

Most importantly, I want to state that I believe it is the Yoruba and Igbo peoples who are largely responsible for the crisis Nigeria is in today. The superiority complexes displayed by both groups become nauseating after awhile. All I hear from are claims of Igbos being industrious and ingenious or Yorubas being cultured and educated. I don't either any of the other hundreds of Nigerian ethnic groups display pompous attitudes as such. This is just my observation, Igbos and Yorubas need to get over themselves and stop being selfish and greedy.

Where are the tough talking Yoruba E-warriors who swear that Yorubaland is impenetrable?

Fulani nomads are on your turf now, WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT?

We all know Fulani claim any land their feet step on, so what now?

at least half(maybe even slightly more) of the Trinidad and Tobago's population is of East Indian descent. Their prime minister is Indian. Even with the oil wealth and tiny population of 2 million people they still deal with poverty and crime.

I'd say linguistically Hausa is more predominant outside of Nigeria

Culturally I'd say Yoruba is more influential outside of Nigeria

There was no sovereign national conference rejected in 1966.

It's universal across almost all cultures

People like having boys because boys grow up to be men and keep the family name and lineage going. Girls grow up to become women and take on another family name.

It's a shame a powerful(I believe third largest after Hollywood and Bollywood) and burgeoning industry like NOLLYWOOD is not being used to promote and project Nigerian languages, culture, traditional religion and aesthetics. Even though I'm Ghanaian, I believe Nigeria as the most populous Black country in the world needs to be stable and strong for Black-African people to thrive in the rest of the world. So far, Nigeria is kind of dropping the ball, but there's potential
