having evidence of ownership isnt d problem bro...its when d guy said u're his partner....thats d problem.even if u're d owner...the fact that d guy said u're his partner makes things more complicated....i wud call d fone from a distance and say that i was robbed and was calling to see if the fone was still on.

think of it this way...if u put on a tap and use a finger to block some part of the tap opening u wud notice that there will be a faster and more violent gush of water from the little opening left...
the sun is the tap and the moon is your finger, the little crescent formed is d small opening, pls try to avoid looking directly at the sun during the eclipse...in fact never look at the sun directly for any reason anytime of the year...cos u'll not know your eyes are damaged till its too late

Science/TechnologyRe: How To Safely Observe Sunday’s Solar Eclipse by yorex2011:
It is never safe to look directly at the Sun except during a total eclipse; a partial or annular eclipse, even when the Sun is mostly covered, can still cause permanent eye damage, even though you might not feel any discomfort.
There is no pain when the retina is being burned, and the resulting visual symptoms do not occur until at least several hours after the injury has occurred - by which time it is far too late.
Looking at the Sun through any kind of optical aid (binoculars, a telescope, or even a camera's viewfinder) is extremely dangerous, and can cause permanent blindness.

Sunglasses do not provide anything like adequate protection, as they do not block the wavelengths of light which are likely to damage your eyes, or reduce the intensity of the visible light sufficiently.

Viewing the Sun indirectly, by projecting its image onto a screen, is far safer. You can make a projector with a simple pinhole. However, never look through the projector -- only look at the image on the screen.
note that even the bucket of water reflection ish is still not safe

Another easy way is to crisscross your fingers waffle style to the sunlight, which will project the
partial eclipse on the ground in front of you, If you're near a tree, look underneath the sun-dappled canopy of leaves, and you might be able to see the projections of countless mini-eclipses on the ground.
You can also get a piece of cardboard, punch hole in it with a nail, and then angle the cardboard to project the sun's light on another piece of cardboard. "You'll see a projected image … when the sun goes into eclipse, you'll see a crescent The smaller the hole, the sharper image you can get.

bukatyne: Sorry, in my books, it does!

You think God wasted His time and resources to create you to just have a happy home?

I guess men do not want happy homes right?

Is there no desire for you to even improve your world and excel at something?

Why is your dream not to be the best daughter?

You are first an individual before a daughter, wife or mother!

Like I said, most women have no dream/vision
dont mention God's name like you know his will or plan for evrybody...
men want happy homes thats why they toil and work hard so that they can provide for the family..
who told you she cant improve her world or excel at something....you dont need to have a career to improve the world or excel at something

7. sybla tv: ur own cable tv on ur mobile fone.have access to football matches, news, documentary, music and movies on ur mobile fone..(note the app requires data)

8. viber: very good for internet calling...requires data .requires about 14mb for every hour spent talking..
these are just a few apps that are great to have on ur smart fone...feel free to add what ur android does for you!!
PhonesReasons Why Everyone Needs An Android Device by yorex2011(op):
since i got my first android a year ago, its made life a lil easier for me....dont get me wrong any smartfone will do(ios, windows) but i'm writing this based on my experience
first and foremost a good android device can save you from a lot of stress and tricky situations,
with an android device you do not need a modem, when u've got wifi and usb tethering: have ur own personal wifi hotspot to connect ur pc to and also help out friends in need of internet connectivity.

utilising ur android device to the fullest is impossible without downloading the right apps...below is a list of awesome apps that can make life easier.
1. camscanner : camscanner is an android app that allows the users to scan documents at very good quality even converts to pdf when u're done (u might need a fone with at least 5mp and autofocus)...the app has helped me out countless times, when u need to fill out an online form and upload documents, u can do that on the go using cam scanner.

2. quickoffice: this is an android alternative to microsoft office on windows and gives u almost all the options u wud get in the windows software. u can create and edit word, excel and powerpoint documents on d go with ur android device

3. tasker: this app is one of the craziest apps i've seen on android.u can literarily turn ur smart fone to a smarter fone.its an app that allows you to programme your fone to do certain things when certain conditions are met.an example of what i did is to programme my fone to be silent whenever it is sunday between 8am and 12pm if and only if i'm in church...so if i go to the church on a monday the sounds are on....if i'm in church on a sunday afternoon, the sounds are on and if it sunday morning and i'm not in d church the sounds are on so it only turns sound off it its sunday morning, between 8am and 10pm and only if i'm in my church environment. there are countless things you can programme ur fone to do

4. gps essentials and google maps: these are gps softwares and we all knw what gps does.the gps essentials gives u parameters such as current speed, latitude and longitude, distance travelled, etc...this really helped me out in my final year project as i needed a gps device for my field work....google maps gives u maps of places and even satellite views so u can never get lost...

5. smart tools; this is a collection of tools that can engineers..it consists of a ruler, diatance measuing tool, angle measuring tool, sound measuring tool, metal detecting tool, a plumbine and flashlight...they all work because an android device has all d hardware necessary to make them work..

6. sensor music player: maybe u're doing serious work and ur hands are dirty and u want to change music on ur fone...no need to worry, just hit the table where ur fone is or wave ur hand over ur fone and the music changes...u can also be walking and u wanna change music without bringing the fone out of ur pocket..just tap ur pocket and d music changes
FamilyRe: Should A Woman Sacrifice Her Dreams For Her Marriage? by yorex2011: 10:31am On Oct 31, 2013
chymystique: That's one of d things u need to discuss with ur spouse before marriage.. The most annoyin thing about this issue is that most men might agree that u can pursue ur dreams buh wen u u both bcom legally married he tends to change his mind.. For example; A lady Studied Engineering and wanted to bcome a professional in et and d hubby asked d lady to quit her job, suggestin d woman shld go into Rental business. His reason was that he wants d wife to ve time for thr kids and look after d home.

Well, For now I cnt tell cos am nt married yet buh I dnt fink I can sacrifice my dream for my marriage esp wen ai knw et aint gonna affect me lookin after my home..

Some Men can b very selfish tho..
i agree these things need to be discussed by both parties...i'm yet to understand what y'all mean when u say "living dreams"....the lady who wanted to be a practising engineer knwing it would take soo much of her time can talk to the husband about it...they cud come to a reasonable conclusion...e.g she cud be a lecturer and maybe after a few yrs when the kids are more mature cud then decide to move to being a consultant...what am just saying is dat no matter hw u look at it... its nature...there is a reason why men cannot breastfeed and men are generally physically stronger than women...
but if a woman can "live her dreams" while having enuf time for the family...then why not!!!!
@ Poster source pls.

That aside, I agree with the content of this article. Many women, especially Nigerian women are prone to thinking that way. It's actually engrained in them to such a point where they see being submissive = being subordinate, which I daresay, is at odds with their education.

I mean, why bother educating your daughters if she'll end up being nothing better than a glorified househelp in her own home, both physically and emotionally? Yes, I know many ladies who went through tertiary education have put their education to good use - but how many of these same women have done things for themselves? I mean personal goals they've always wanted to achieve pre-marriage? Or achieving their dreams?

There's a rankling thread in this section about a man who:

~ Earned eight times more than his wife
~ Owned various property and assets, etc.

It was all about him, him, him and no mention of what his wife probably went through those 10 years of marriage without a dime to her name. Eventually the tables turned and she landed herself a well-paying job and built just one house for herself and guess what? The miffed husband sprinted off to nland soliciting 'advice' on how much he felt betrayed by his wife! Of course the teenagers and other mumpties here encouraged him to ditch her (never mind her silent suffering for 10years), she must have been having an affair with her priest (she never saw fit to do that before o! Only when she got working now, abi?)

https://www.nairaland.com/1496529/priest-aids-wife-build-without

What am I getting at here? In a society where marriage is seen as the greatest milestone and achievement in one's life (moreso if you're a female), you aren't expected to do anything for yourself, think independently for yourself or dare have dreams and aspirations, all in the name of two-becoming-one, which incidentally, always works out well for the menfolk.

If anyone dares rebutt what I've written up there, then:

For the men folk - how many of your properties are in both your names and your wife's name? Is her name on the title deed of your houses??

For the married women folk - how many of you, despite your education and careers have built a house - just one single house - in your own right? And even if you have, in whose name is it in? Yours or your husband's?

And for the married women who despite their careers and education haven't yet done that, may I ask how come? And pls don't come at me with the same old story of having to look after the kids (who afterall, don't bear your maiden names! but your husbands' names!)
huh
