He's definitely not as popular as the Pope, but who is Mr. Olubunmi Okogie? huh
We are not talking about popularity here. . .the word is influence

But since you brought popularity contest into it, do you think that Mr. Adeboye is popular among other non members of RCCG?
Seun stop displaying your ignorance in public   tongue - Mr. Okogie is the Catholic Archbishop of Lagos

Considering the most infleuntial man of God in this country Nigeria and the world at large, yet he does not speak on certain political issues which i feel could take a new turn if people of his calibre alongside his counterparts like Bishop David Oyedepo,Pastor Chris Oyakhilome etc.
How on God's earth could Mr. Adeboye be the most influential man of God in Nigeria and also in the world?
Is there any chance in hell that Mr. Adeboye could be more influential than Mr. Olubunmi Okogie in Nigeria or the Pope in the world?

Again what yardstick do we use to measure their influences?
Just like say-d-fact said: "we so so love titles in the country!!!"

You guys are unfair, its not the fault of the chidren that their father is a sleeping president.

Anybody who wants to marry the president daughter should try become a Governor or do 419 and be a multy millionaire, that is the first prerequiste, and all other things would fall into place. Just like many good things in Nigeria, the president daughters is not for the poor
These chics can't really be bovvered.

Politics › Nigeria Most 'hated' Man by youngies(op): 4:31pm On Sep 03, 2009
Most of the time when you mention the name of some Nigerians, people may hiss, swear or even curse at the very mention of these names. The reasons for these reactions are well known.

I took some time and observed that the  following 5 people are among the people that top the list IMO (not in any special order)

1. Maurice Iwu
2. Ibrahim Babangida
3. James Ibori
4. Michael Andoaaka
5. Gen. Obasanjo

Do you agree or you want to add to the list?

All I see here, is a lot of Envy as stated by Dele, What Exactly is he is crime, That He writes an Article in ThisDay newspaper as a social commentator and Also celebrates the wealthy & open corrupt people in his photo magazine,
Do we Subject the Pastor & Imams where the guys worship to the same, do we ask the churches & mosques to return the donations and offerings of this openly corrupt men ,
Envy!!!!!!!  huh  huh

Afam , Ofcourse I read his earlier reply, but my statement was directed at the reply posted above, which he wrote after reading the link where his person was battered and he still showed humility by replying and I dont see anything much wrong with his reply IMO,
The problem with Dele is that he is shallow, he has a mindset that is typical.
He labelled everybody opposed to his hypocritical method as haters and frustrated

Besides, he didn't deal with the issue of reconciling his sychophancy of looters of this nation and the piece he writes in ThisDay
IMO Dele is has no principles

These are the issues Sanusi has said will dominate a discussion on the restructuring of the FG so that it is more equitable:

There is a gaping hole above, a chasm of gargantuan proportions! Why is the Northern elite not listed (but somehow, the Yoruba are)? angry angry angry

Even a child knows the Northern elite are Nigeria's biggest problem. That ommission firmly places Sanusi (a member of the Northern elite) as a tribalist.
Don't be too quick to beaf him grin
I guess that the problem of the northern elite is subsummed in "The Sharia and religious intolerance in the North"

@Depliot
Who among the present crop of arrested goons has been mistreated by the State so far?

Are you by any means advocating that we treat them like celebrities?

Should EFCC remand Cecilia in Transcorp Hilton instead of EFCC detention camp or Ikoyi prison?

Should the EFCC make special arrangement to provide power and also air-conditions in their facility just because Cecelia, Okey, Sebastien and the rest are residing there temporarily?

What are you on about on this mistreatment?

We should learn one or two things from the past.
If positive outcome is what we are wishing for, we must then stop acting like lawless barbarians and encourage fed govt not to miss a single step in prosecuting all these people.
In this case so far, at what point has the FG acted like lawless barbarians?

Regardless of her crime, while she is detained I hope the fed govt fully understands that they are responsible for her well- being.
This is indisputable, the FG is already doing that.

There is no need to make any unnecessary mistake at this point, they must obey the human rights and treat her with respect. She should be provided with any necessary medical attention if that is what she wants or needs.
I fail to get the import of this your statement.
Which unnecessary mistake are you talking about?
Treat her with respect? How then shall we treat the depositors who own the monies that has been mismanaged?

Nobody is guilty until proven guilty in the court of law.
She has been indicted and soon will be proved guilty
