Thanks Kobojunkie. I could not have responded better.

This folks are so worked up with sentiment that they are ready to justify any illegality on the part of these bandits.

For God sake!, we are not yet in a state of anarchy where everything is fair.
Even amongst criminals there should be rule of engagement.
In war nothing is fair.
Mend has for long proclaimed that they are at war with the FG
That is why words like 'ceasefire', 'amnesty' and 'rehabilitation' are being freely used in the quagmire

I don't blame these people. It is because Fashola did not bomb Bayelsa state back. They forget that in practising the true federalism they are fighting for, a state has the right to defend itself against foreign enemies and to Lagos state, we Niger Deltans are foreigners.
I never knew Fashola has an army or a militia undecided

SapeleGuy:
Just because it comes from a university doesn't make it correct. Afterall, these where the same people who denied the fact that ancient egyptians where black africans. English history is not based on shakespeare's fiction. It is based around their monarchs?
Igbo's histroy is not based on Achebe's fiction, but the book gives a great insight for beginners
They are so many books that have dealt with pre-colonial Igbo histroy.
Don't be lazy, search for them

Who were the great igbo Kings?
You missing the point, in pre-colonial Igbo society, there was really nothing like great Igbo kings, because aside Onitsha and Arochukwu people who had a central king, most Igbo communities were governed by council of elders (nze na ozo), age grades and the chief priests

What about igbo art and crafts as opposed to just 'things fall apart'?
Like I suggested earlier, try do some reading, it won't hurt. For heads up, you may find things like Igbo-Ukwu art etc

I know a lot of these new igbo 'kings' were warrant chiefs made by the colonialists. Who were the original ones?
Find the answer above
