I feel the problem with the IELTS results these days has to do with the markers. I may be wrong though, but why is the issue majorly with writing only? |

unusualfavour....we have all moved past this. unusualfavour: Really Ms Langan!!! so which of the sarcasm should I make sense of? the grammar policing or the constant bashing in form of sarcasm.
For the record, no one is attacking her rather correcting a wrong. If you have low people skills and can't be polite just ignore. Behind most monikers here are adults and as such should be treated with courtesy just the way you would like to be treated.
P.S I am not against encouraging people to do personal research for the journey or read from page zero but please do it with courtesy. |

It's okay. It will SURELY end in praise for us all. laminaria: @Ysteph Firstly, I quite agreed with most of your points and the necessities to reduce the repetitive questions as well as encourage people to read themselves. I didnt attack anyone and my post was just solemnly base on my general view. I wont drag any names into this but we all know people who goes above and beyond to help people adjust and interpret their roles. In addition it took 2 or more pages for one of our gurus to explained to people about claiming point for work experience while studying. i doff my hat for them and others, they respond or waka pass. i do believe in self reading and research as much as anyone here. There are better way to politely refer people to page0 and i have seen people helping others with a link. lastly, i don't understand what u meant by "she is teaching us to learn the hard way" who are these people she is teaching the hard way?
Well, everyone will be happy at the end of the day but remember no one will ever forget how u make them feel. |

@coolangel54. If you went online, you'll see the dates that are available. You definitely cannot register for the spaces filled up. Meanwhile, its the website that will explain the registration process better than anyone here. It's better you call the Mobile Nos. on the site. Goodluck. coolangel54:
Kindly direct me on how you registered using IDP as I went online and all available spaces have been filled up already. Please I need guidance. |

Let me drop this here this morning.
I read laminaria's post where he/she was so angry at the way people direct people to Page 0. I'll use myself as an example. After i read about Express Entry on the cic website. I started searching google for practical examples and information. One day, i was searching google for something about POF and I stumbled on this thread. When i opened the page google directed me to, i saw a post from Iphie...(can't remember the full moniker), i read it. It was from reading about POF that i saw that, IQAS evaluation favours law degree, how to add a new born to the application, how to add spouse, how to obtain US PCC. I also got Inspector's Moshood's information, and many other useful information. I also learnt all the abbreviations from reading this thread. I have a jotter where i note stuffs down.
The people i direct to this thread thank me all the time for the valuable information they get here. It therefore surprises me that people are angry because they are directed to Page 0. No one is saying don't ask questions, but let the questions be constructive. Afterall, i also learn from other peoples' questions and the answers given.
This Canada when all of us want to go so, this naija style will not help us. We are so used to getting spoon fed for everything. For those that haven't travelled abroad (no offence meant) let us not join those that are angry when some harsh answers are given. It should ginger you to read. It's DIY in Canada and other civilised countries. I'm not saying people don't help there, but you're expected to know some basic things. For example using the internet to get information.
To show how irritating some questions are, it was here i read a question, ''which bank is best for POF''. Recently someone said flesh up your job duties and the question that followed was ''how do i do that?''.
I expect that, many of us should be getting information from the living in Canada thread by now. There's nothing wrong in getting information ahead.
In conclusion, Please let us read and understand this Express Entry Process before asking questions. Many questions here are totally unnecessary. Meanwhile, for those of you, attacking Canadianfly, i'll say there's no need for it. She's just teaching us to learn the hard way. Smart people see sense in her sarcastic answers. Some others feel she's too harsh. There'll come a time when her response will make sense to all of us.
I rest my case. |

increasing IELTS score won't give him/her 441. Use the CRS calculator properly. rukaiya: With the credentials you stated above, you can get 441 by improving your IELTS. You'll need at least 8.5L and 7.5 in speaking, assuming your reading and writing stays the same. You can also register for a post graduate course as OP suggested, but if I were in your shoes I'll go with the first option. Cheers |

You shouldn't be asking this question. You read the website, filled out Expression of Interest for Manitoba, you stated you had a relative, now you're asking whether documents will be requested. Please go back to the site and read up whether documents will be requested. IamAlexander: Good morning house.
Please i need your help on the issue below as its very urgent.
To cut to the chase, I finally got LAA from Manitoba to apply for province nomination. However, in my expression of interest form I had indicated that I have a close relative in Manitoba and not friend. So, when i was filling the LAA form i selected friend as my connection to the province which the system rejected because it is not the same with what i filled (close relative) in the expression of interest form.
I have spoken to my friend over there in Canada to know if I can say in the form that we are close relative but he said no because of the document the province will demand for to proof that we are truly close relative.
Now house, is it true that they will demand for document connecting the two of us? Also, What type of document will they request for?
He said the only option I have is to decline the LAA and apply for another expression of interest again- which is a no-no for me! I have waited this long to be invited to apply and CANNOT afford to forgo it.
Kindly assist. |
