Politics › Re: How Would You Solve The Boko Haram Crisis? by Yujin(m): 5:51pm On May 03, 2012
It is simple but requires a lot of gut and stamina. Firstly, organize a SNC where the system of governance for this empire should be reviewed with the intent of weakening the centre and strengthening the regions with these regions controlling a major share of their resources. This is called confederation. If this generates a problem in the course of the conference, disintegration should be discussed with referendum held for ethnic nationalities to determine which of the divides to join. Either of this will see the demise of boko haram as their will be no juicy empire position (president or head of state of the present nigeria) to fight for. Do you think there will be boko haram in an arewa region governed by sharia and a muslim?
Politics › Re: Violence In Plateau State: 13 Killed, 30 Houses Burnt In Berom Villages, Riyom by Yujin(m): 11:57am On May 03, 2012
The Arbiter: @naanmin Your reference to the Shendam issue is illuminating. But wasnt the problem in Shendam basically a political one that subsequently degenerated into violence. It is however noteworthy to see that it never reoccurred like the crisis in Jos and environs. In character, scale and duration the Jos crisis definitely takes the crown. I beg to differ, there is more to the Berom vs Fulani-Hausa issue than meets the eye. I do know Mangu, Shendam, Kanam, Wase, Lantang south and Quan pan contain significant populations of both Christians and Muslims and also different tribal mixes. Why is the violence not erupting in this areas?

A full discussion of the Jos crisis is not for the pages of this forum, infested as it is with all manner of bigots, tribalists, warmongers and separatists. I rarely reply to comments related to ethnic-religious issues except to inject facts, figures or perspectives into the discussion. Most people these days rarely see beyond the gore, blood and sentiments to proffer solutions to any problem in Nigeria. Ask anyone how America was able to meld different races into a formidable country on earth. The right answer, if the person isnt an ignoramus, is JUSTICE or the SENSE OF JUSTICE. I have read a considerable amount of research about the conflict in Plateau mainly because i have lost friends across both ends of the ethnic-religious divide, very good friends for that matter. I consider myself well informed about it. I take no sides but blame all. The Hausa's, Beroms, Fulani's and all other tribes involved in these killings are just MURDERERS pure and simple. They repeat it again and again because they can get away with it. It is a reflection of the general malaise that affects Nigeria as a whole.

YOUR TRIBE OR THE RICH AND POWERFUL CAN NEVER DO WRONG. This is the overriding rule in Nigeria and its tearing it to pieces.
@arbiter,
I'm really surprised at how you sound eventhough you say that you are well informed on the fulani/berom crises in plateau state. Can tell me of any fight between both parties before year 2000? If it is wase lga, we understand but it has stopped because the Tarok rose to the occasion after having conceeded their lands for the wase emirate. Blame the berom ppl for not arming themselves, forming a powerful vigilante group & destroying fulani bases close to them.
Politics › Re: Violence In Plateau State: 13 Killed, 30 Houses Burnt In Berom Villages, Riyom by Yujin(m): 10:36am On May 03, 2012
The plateau indeed are among the most peaceful ppl of the middle belt but their disposition has been interpreted as weakness. The simple reason why the hausa/fulanis have been harping hard on the beroms is because the state gov. is berom and also berom ppl are basically christians. The beroms are the largest tribe on the plateau therefore if you have them surrender you have conquered the plateau. On many occasions, the stf go to their(berom) villages and cart away their weapons of protection only for the fulanis(with sophisticated weapons) to strike shortly after. Yes, the beroms attack the fulanis back but only opportunistically i.e when any fulani ventures near their villages unlike the fulanis who plan well from their far bases before they attack. The hausa/fulanis always love using the divide and conquer technique but I know the plateau ppl have understood them and so will stick together while the storm lasts. However, the state gov. a bit bias with his appointments and for such the other tribes are not happy with him.
BTW, Gowon is from the Angas tribe of pankshin lga. He is yet to be hit that is why he is silent.
Many ppl are no longer perturbed by this incessant news of human destruction. Meanwhile, the genocide continues. We are watching.
Politics › Re: Which State Is The Most Educated In Nigeria by Yujin(m): 12:32am On May 02, 2012
The false foundation on which this empire is built is gradually being exposed and debunked. Soon population will be made glaring for all to see. No matter how truth is hidden someday it shall be glaringly opened for all to see.
BTW, the population of Anambra and Imo is close most likely with Anambra leading, however educationally, Imo state is ahead. I think this is so because many young males from Anambra go for apprenticeship after primary school(sometimes up to junior secondary level) having learnt how to read and write unlike their mates from Imo who proceed to secondary & tertiary institutions. I think the data for the primary school leaving certificate will help us here. Thanks
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Is PDP & PDP Is Boko Haram- Gen Azazi by Yujin(m): 9:44pm On Apr 29, 2012
Azazi is a serious let down to the progressive people of this empire. When did pdp's unwritten agreement become the constitution of the land? This is show of defeat when the NSA turns round to blame a party instead of the individuals that made categorical statements as to their mischevious intentions in the event of their failure at the polls. What a shame! What stops him from inviting Atiku, Ciroma & Yakassai for questioning since their statements are well recorded? He is scared that that may lead to uprisings in the north. Until the southerners leaders learn to face their northern counterparts head on, they will always think they can get away with a crime scot-free. Good morning 'one nigeria'.

It was a teacher in Gombe few yrs ago, then corp members and now profs. I see other innocent prominent ppl wasted also. RIP brothers, your death shall be avenged in due time. Meanwhile, blood of the innocent cries unconsolably over the north.

Slowly but surely we are heading there. Arm yourselves oh simpletons for the hour has drawn near. FG CANNOT protect you. It is not GEJ's fault; no president from the south can stop bh. Politics › Re: Northern Nigeria Has Highest Child Illiteracy Rate In The World by Yujin(m): 11:36pm On Apr 24, 2012
Many wonder why this cannot be true. Some compare northern nigeria to war-torn countries like somalia, congo etc. It only shows that we have short memories. Compare the individual population of these countries with that of northern nigeria. Have you forgotten the meaning of boko haram and the fact that it is still operating? Boko haram means western education is abomination. This nothing but the truth. About 5yrs ago, a female teacher was murdered in cold blood by her students in the north for disrupting an exam malpractitioner. This is how much they value a western education teacher.

Yassar2688: Please house, i thought illeracy means someone who cannot read or write. If this is the case then northern Nigeria has the highest literate than you all think.
@Yasser, you are right. Knowing how to read & write in Arabic makes you literate but does it fit into the present system/demands of this empire? No. Honestly, I will like to see an Arewa country where Arabic literacy thrives then we will know your place in the comity of nations. Assalamu alla'ikum.

rawtruth: The few who refused to agree with the write-up do not know what goes on in the core north, or they are simply incapable of accepting bitter truths. Besides the constitutional issue which GEJ has actually failed to take into consideration, the present crop of northern elites have never shown serious interest in such things as primary/secondary education; They are more concerned with educating their kids and in-laws to inherit their stolen wealth, sponsoring pilgrims to Mecca and contributing to Mosque buildings. The Almajiri question has been asked decades ago but without anyone from that part of the country showing much interest in how the issue could be resolved. It is now that the chips are down that the vociferous ones among them have pushed their shame aside to blame the Federal govt for 'neglecting' the north.

Under the nose of these elites;
Parents send their kids/wards to bearded Mallams far away from their homes without knowing the character of these so-called teachers. Many of these Mallams are from desert/war-hit regions of Africa who only parade an average knowledge of the Quran as their educational qualification. These class of people are then deemed worthy to be entrusted with millions of children in a country as rich as Nigeria. Truth is bitter but it must be spoken; a strong attachment to archaic systems that accommodate pride and dictatorship has blinded the northern princes who are now finding it difficult to accept necessary changes. They can twist GEJ and even the world to draw attention to their 'plight' but discerning minds clearly see them for the defeatist hypocrites they are.
The best post. This is just the plain truth; if you lived in the north you will know this.
Let's ask ourselves this question;

If Nigeria divides, will each region be more peaceful? If the answer is YES, then let's divide. You cannot have development and progress without peace and tranquillity.

Why should I ( a Yoruba Man, Igbo or non-fulani) be in the north, and be thinking that at any slightest provocation ( Americans burning Koran in 8000 miles Afghanistan, A Danish man depicting a sacred prophet , e.t.c), that I might be slaughtered?

Its correct that 'true Federalism' is being practised in America, but all these American States share the same belief, identity, language, passion, ideology, e.t.c, Whereas, Nigeria is quite the opposite.

Separation will also put the destinies of every Nigerian in his/her own hand. The regional 'blame game' will forever be gone.
You have struck the right point. If only the hausa/fulani and other northern muslims do not slaughter poor innocent people for no just reason, I believe all the poor masses will come together to fight our corrupt leaders. However, it is already too late. SNC or catastrophy.
Some posters on here are either foreign agent provocateurs or just plain stupid. angry How on earth is the destablisation and disintegration of your country supposed to end up being a good thing?? Are you mentally retarded or just high on dope?! huh When America succeeds in trashing Nigeria into tiny feudal bits for the sake of Niger Deltan petroleum, do you honestly think that your life will be any better for it, or even the same as it is now?? Why are people so stupid that they actually desire the downfall of their country just because a few people are mismanaging its resources? You think the people in Iraq, Libya and Cote d'Ivoire are enjoying their lives now that foreign intervention has successfully ruined their countries?
Have you ever thought about the inherent foolishness in cutting off your nose to spite your face? So you want this CIA-funded terrorist outfit to destroy Nigeria, and then what?? Will you then have electricity? Running water? Good government? A just legal system? Fair distribution of resources?
Let me tell you what will happen if Nigeria does break up into weaker pieces. First of all, you will see foreign troops at your doorstep, playing with the lives of you and your children the way they do in Iraq and Afghanistan. You will look at one oyinbo soldier the wrong way and he will lace you with M6 rifle bullets. Then the news will call you an "insurgent" or a "rebel". Your children will go outside to play and they will be killed and maimed by grenades and landmines. Your mothers and sisters will be raped and the invaders will make you watch before killing you. And no international news outlet will cover it. IF YOU THINK YOUR LIFE AS A NIGERIAN IS NOT WORTH MUCH NOW, JUST YOU WAIT UNTIL THE YANKS HAVE THEIR WAY WITH OUR COUNTRY. JUST YOU WAIT.

The politicians and kleptocrats who you hate so much will not suffer the consequences of a broken Nigeria the way you will. Trust me, I know this because I grew up in that circle. My dad, while not himself one of them, makes his living from their high-end property transactions and believe me, these guys have the sort of money which would make Sir Alan Sugar look like an average businessman. Do you really think that if/when the CIA succeeds in cracking Nigeria into unstable blocs like in Libya, these guys will suffer any hardship? Hell no, they all have at least 3 different passports and enough money to bribe God.
It is YOU who will suffer the indignity of being a stateless citizen if you are abroad, or an inhabitant of an occupied territory under US martial law like in Iraq. You think Nigeria has a bad image now, and foreigners look down on your Green passport, but believe me when your passport is held in the same rank with a Somalian or Iraqi passport then you will look back on these days as good times.

Instead of always being aggressively negative with relation to all things Nigerian, some of us need to realise that Nigeria is all we have - we're just foreigners and n.iggers elsewhere - and put forward solutions and recommendations to make things better within the current constraints. They say be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it. Go ask any Libyan today who wanted rid of Gadaffi whether he/she likes the current situation as compared to 2010. A word is enough for the wise.
Your post is informative, however we cannot continue with this present set up where some people think they own the empire while others are slaves. We are aware of its implication but he who says we cannot determine our future will have his and his descendants scuttled too. After the turmoil, the dust will settle. As for bh, they are fulfilling prophecy whatever way.

This is a welcome development and the caliber of attendants gives credence to this bold decision. However, IBB, Atiku, Ciroma and their cohorts will debunk this position because they see themselves as the Godfathers of the north. Recall what IBB said; their are certain things about nigeria that have long been settled i.e should not be discussed. He threatened to go to war if any of such is contemplated; just as though we are puppets that must heed to his dictates. If GEJ fails to convene a SNC, he should forget 2015 and might pay for it dearly- remember Aguiyi Ironsi. History is about to repeat itself albeit not exactly. I will also like to hear from ACF before I make further inferences.
Politics › Re: The North That Southerners Don’t Know by Yujin(m): 3:45am On Apr 18, 2012
@OP, you are right except in the area of population. Kano is no where close Lagos population wise. Imagine desertified Bauchi having about 5million population. The average population of NW states is 4point something million in a basically desertified landscape- a typical fallacy. Actually, there are many tribes in the core north that are rarely heard of e.g the Ilela ppl known as the Zurus in Kebbi, the Karekare ppl in Yobe, the Sayawas in Bauchi and many others. Personally, I advice the non-hausa/fulanis to distinguish themselves when in the south to avoid the picture painted by the op and to possibly save them whenever a reprisal is to be carried out against the hausa/fulani who are always blood thirsty. The northerners have educated intellectuals from both the core north & middle belt no doubt but when compared to the south, they are just backward. However, some northerners comparatively speak english fluently more than southerners. Many thanks to quota system if not, the northerners will not be able to compete.
The hausa/fulani elites want to present to the south a monolithic north for political reasons. However, their islamization agenda is exposing their wickedness to the northern christians.

While I don't support gun running business, I will not condemn any individual involved in it for the defence of his family and people especially when the govt. has shown that it is unable to protect its citizens. I recently said that weapons are being smuggled into many parts of this country and this confirms it. Those fulani men that attack defenceless villagers with sophisticated weapons; did they manufacture them. Assuming those villagers are equally armed, I believe those attackers will think twice before acting. That woman is a christian that is why she was brutalized; assuming she is a muslim, that will not happen. She would rather unscathedly be taken into custody and after a while released. Many muslims have been caught with weapons, have they been brutalized like this? This has nothing to do with boko haram; bh don't use pistols. Many ppls and tribes are becoming wiser... arm urselves for the evil day is near even if you have to get caught in the act; that is sacrifice for your ppl. Btw, the muslim guy involved in the importation of those container loads of armaments, was he manhandled? People open your eyes before it is too late.

This project as good as it seems will not achieve much. I have a question. Where are the parents of those almajiris or are they all orphans? A situation where a petty sugarcane seller has 3 wives with a total of over 15 children presents to you the source of this almajirism. Most of their leaders don't have any good plans for those children, if they have, why did the state govs. not build these schools before? Their leaders are not sincere. They supported it because they see FGs bearing of the load as an advantage over the christians and south. This is the singular reason why it will not bear much positive fruit. The key to decreasing almajirism is to educate the parents of northern muslims to take responsibility for their children. Why is this not found among Yoruba muslims?

These weapons are nothing compared to what they have smuggled into some unexpected enclaves. Most of us complain on net and subsequently show apathy outside the net. I said they would strike in Nassarawa state and they indeed struck. Let me say it again further attacks would be carried out against the indigenes of the state by the fulanis. BH, fulani herdsmen & religious crisis in the north has nothing but one aim, which is to conquer, dominate and islamize the minority tribes of the core north & MB before extending it down south. Gombe state itself shall witness its own any day the indigenous christians there ask for a fair share of the goodies from the state. They shifted those weapons there to quash any such attempt. Meanwhile ethnic cleansing against minority christians continue in northern nigeria. It is well documented. We are all just sitting on a time bomb.

Above all, don’t lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to such a pass that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love, and in order to occupy and distract himself without love he gives way to passions and coarse pleasures, and sinks to bestiality in his vices, all from continual lying to other men and to himself.

LAMENTATIONS 5 VS 4 'We have to pay to drink our own water. We have to pay to chop our own wood'.
These bloody caucasians. they havent changed. they are still taxing everybody to the hilt. its their modus operandus. as soon as they took over israel they put taxes on every commodity. the lord let the caucasians take over because he removed his protection from israel.
@buzugee, I must commend ur scriptural quotations & 'knowledge'. However, you must seek the Holy Spirit's guidance to understand the scriptures and help you obey the Lord. I must make some corrections here: the period of Solomon's reign is no way close to the era when the greeks held sway in world politics. Babylon it was that ended the reign of the Israeli kings during the reign of (Zedekiah of Judah) by Emperor Nebuchadnezzer. Babylon was swept away by Medo-Persian empire led by Cyrus & Darius which was then defeated by the greeks led by Alexander the Great. It was at this period that the maccabues brothers led the Israelis to revolt against the oppressive greeks. This was many centuries after Solomon's death.

@Topic, King Solomon was indeed at a point in time the wisest man. His contribution in the books of proverbs & ecclesiastis has surely withstood the test of time. A simple adherance to the admonitions in those books will definitely mark out any young person in this age as being wise. Though the latter part of his life was in sharp contrast to the beginning, it shows us that wisdom is tied to the love, fear & obedience of God. Reminds me of the philosopher Descartes who doubted everything including his own existence only for it to occur to him that he was just being foolish since he exists. Atheist in the house take note. The spot where solomon built the magnificent temple is still well noted to this day. The absence of dinasuors today does not mean they never existed.
