I don't know your background or what you may be experiencing right now, but it seems like you've got misplaced priorities.

You're almost 18. Go back to school, get your academics in line, write those exams (GCE, WAEC, SAT) and then pursue undergrad admissions to US Universities. It is easier this way with access to more opportunities. Getting into high school in the US is not complicated, but because I foresee you hitting a roadblock, I won't explain further. Okay?

A close friend pays his tithes to a Pastor in Nigeria because the Pastor prayed for him 3 years ago before he got his visa. Basically, his tithe is a form of appreciation for prayer rendered on his behalf. When people fail to study the Bible, they get it all twisted! SMH

I still tithe to the Church and do little charity as well. I don't think charity should replace tithing though Jesus was very particular about helping the poor/needy.
