So barbaric! Funny that they've given Embassy staff a good reason to stay back home and still get paid. Take your war to Aso-rock ![]() In January, I stopped by the Embassy in DC to renew my passport and my experience was a joke. I'm aware that customer service is foreign to some Nigerians so I wasn't upset. Same darn attitude at African stores, not new. However, putting people in harms way at this Embassy is pure evil. When our government owe diplomats like crazy and these Embassies deal with incessant complaints about Nigerians committing all kinds of atrocities, why would they care as much ![]() |
Adolite: @yvete, did you got my message, reply pls, i want to verify something from you.Naaa ... which thread did you post it at? |
Ms Nas:Like Smithjanetstore, "na wha for una"... Na wha for Ms Nas ![]() |
seunolumonday: D school doesn't require any english proficiency just wrote it because d embassy might ask for it,I know d score is low. What's the name of the school that admitted you for their MBA program without GMAT/GRE or TOEFL? |

olarwarlay: Sis Yvete!!!Lol I guess you sleep on youtube all day watching those TOEFL vids. You'll be shocked that I didn't buy any textbook for TOEFL, I used youtube to practise and I got 104. This is a while back anyways and it was a 2nd attempt cos' the first expired. |
@ OjaP: Sure! Should be the last ![]() @ Mz Snazzie: You'll def hear from me. Next week is spring break. I've been pulling all-nighters for Mid-terms for weeks now. |
*** Ma'am, this is painful to read so I eliminated nonessential information from it. Would you mind writing in paragraphs next time? Hope someone helps. Imperiouxx should get the message now. *eyes hurt* |
Different strokes for different folks! Though I prefer a low-key wedding, the rings has to be stunning. I would not be pleased with something that looks like a foil paper plastered on my ring finger, but then, in sincerity, it would be genuinely heartbreaking to watch a low-income fiance use up all his earnings on a ring. As time progresses, I would expect a real man to upgrade it when he can afford something better. This talk about the 2-3 months salary ring is common among female corporate circles. I hear it all the time, but I doubt that Nigerian men work that way. No biggie. |
Interesting viewpoints! It depends really. I would not expect anyone to relocate to Nigeria without the right connections or perhaps, the Motherland has no preference for degrees with an international stamp on it these days. Experience is key. I did three internships before graduating. It helps. Have no regrets for staying back, bagging more degrees and working in comfort. #LifeisGood |
teetee2: All my front hairs have been removed either is natural or not, is there anything to use to grow them.I have been keeping my hair natural for the past three months due to damaging and breakage still there is still breakage when comb it. Pls tell me wot to do to make it grow i wish to keep my hair natural without fixing. thanksYour hair is breaking because its dry and brittle. You need to moisturize your hair daily with a good moisturizing lotion and oil your ends, if you like. |
Most times you see Nigerian ladies with no edges, hairlines starting at the middle of their hair and baldness just because they refused to take care. We are busy spending money on expensive weaves to hide the mess that is underneath. Weaves are good, but how long will you keep looking bald? * I still love me some Malaysian Virgin Yaki though, but can also do without. |
Best wishes @ Olarwarlay. |
Nigerian gay ![]() Here they come with another behavioral group. Some money hungry pastors will soon start identifying their churches as 'Gay-friendly ministries" in search of members and resources. SMH |
*Scary thought anyways* |
@ Daisybee: I can relate to your post. I get a guilt feeling whenever I conclude a fast and prayer session, and I decide to listen to "worldly music" maybe a couple days after. Whew! Feed your soul with good music when you can. |
kpolli: I am still yet to get your point.... You told him u support cheating, he gave u a matured answer and you vexed... Sorry your not ready for marriage... I am beginning to feel for the guy.Hahaha! Oops! I didn't see that part. Lolz But are you guys not supposed to pamper a woman when she's mad? Sometimes we fake it just to get pampered and the guy is not falling for it. Kinda sad! |
awwww sorry about that! You guys need to talk. Express your pains, don't be aggressive and don't threaten to leave cos' he might just show you the door. |
Loves Kenya Moore! [s]because everyone says that I look like her[/s]. She's a little dramatic on that show though ![]() |
kpolli: Naija women **sigh** ehen? |
She's a beauty. Likess! |
This is one heck of a pathetic thread! |
Why are you so ratchet? On every thread, you display this loud and poorly behaved character. Not nice. |
Adolite: @yvete, is a lucky(risk) try; four of my friends try it, one was lucky ,three were denied, now the three are regretting trying it because Nigeria Embassy have been denying them of F1 visa since two years ago.He who has ears, let him hear... |
OjaP: I dare not say that again ma, I have learned my lessons .....lol. I feel so uncomfortable not talking to you on here for real.Lol. Don't worry. I will not send thugs to Cali to "jack you up"! Hope you had a great weekend. |
imperiouxx: Because only in home video wife slaps hubby and hubby washes her panties or wife teaching hubby bitter lessonsGo jor! @ OP I barely watch movies. LOVE REALITY TV! (except the Kardashians ) |

Bayo Adex: Hi all, I greatly appreciate d contribution of u guys and ladies on this forum. May God bless all. Pls I do ve a question for nairalanders already in d US. I have a B1/B2 visa already valid for 2 yrs however, I plan to file for change of status in america as I wanna attend houston community college. Pls has anyone here done that before? How is it done? I will like us to pls discuss. Thanks all and God blessGod bless you too! If a change of status is that easy, students would not stress for F1 visas. Are you aware that authorized stay in the US is governed by the duration of stay marked on your I-94? Even if the US Embassy issues you a 2-year visiting visa, the Immigration Officer at the port of entry determines how long you can stay here. Say you are coming in for a wedding, and he stamps 3 weeks on the I-94 (you can apply for an extension, but on what grounds? Are you pregnant and cannot travel? What circumstances...?) You also need to explain to USCIS why your intentions changed from visitor to a prospective student. HCCS will NOT, NOT change your status and getting into a 4 yr University is not a days job. On a B1 visa, you cannot register for classes and claim domicile in the state of TX, no state ID, no drivers license ... go get a student's visa. I heard someone did it, but what if your application is denied? Do you think that the Embassy in Nigeria will issue a student's visa next time? I doubt it. EDITED |
Kpolli and Imperiouxx: Okporoko is stockfish. Uziza is "one tiny leaf like that" ![]() |
