Insurance companies are bound to improve on performance when people no longer live on a "survival mode" mentality. It is expected to be one of the "major beneficiaries of" or "parameter for" a successful society. Hence, if this administration can pull more persons out of multi-dimensional poverty, we tend to see better performance from Insurance coys.

FPI's and LPI's paused as I speculated. Till clarity on FX rates, NLC fuel strike threat and other stuff.

There is no finance Minister to give clear cut fiscal directions, not just this general rhetoric going on. I felt this is one position interim presido had covered and knows the candidate. Clearly, he is still consulting. You don't make such bold statements on inauguration day and not literally hit the ground running.

If there's no minster by next week...

Looking back at the 1.7b shares conversion for 850m naira, that leaves to our imagination a purchase price of #0.5. It took off from 0.3 with there newly secured $6m.

I still think this is a "where there's smoke..." situation.

It may be wise for those with huge $ holdings to shave off some of it. Buy back after the rate merging is complete. Tinubu has said there will be a single rate and that will happen in the near term. Rates fell as low as 705 in the black market amidst the panic. It's back up right now. But this is a prelude.

When it rains, it pours in the parallel market.

Official rate and black market rate will meet at some point(Unification). Unfortunately, its not happening soon as we don't have enough USD reserve to defend the naira(Even with Dangote's refinery). If you're thinking of bringing in your USD into the country, you should expect your yield on whatever naira venture you want to go into to be moderately high on a long-term basis. Else, its not wise saving those funds in any Nigerian bank.

Country hard oh. I've been successful on my part on being a two time nominee for the NYIF. Each of those two times, I have just spent money following procedures and opening accounts without disbursement. Nigeria is a terrible place. This country is depressing for the everyday young Nigerian.
It is hard raising that sum from commercial banks. Small default of one week I had back in service year with Access, that is how they stopped my 30k access to credit. I thank God for today we're still hustling and bustling.
Perhaps, give BOI a try as I'm trying to meet-up several requirements knowing that staff might still subvert the process.

My thoughts on Oando: This case will linger while The cowboys codedly mop up Oando shares through brokers. Just hearing the adjournment date go weak some weak hands, causing dem to do exactly what Oando figures out they will do...
