Thing is, we are wasting money on a bottomless pit called Fuel subsidy. It has been subject to a lot of abuse and stealing.

I guess the money saved can now be used for Power, Railways, and education as well as health.

Well Nigerians.....looks like the era of cheap fuel is over. And this is one PDP policy that I won't be criticizing......because, unfortunately, it is the right thing to do.

Modified at 7.58: We must spend the saved money from the removal of fuel subsidy on improving power....so that we can no longer be dependent on oil....and instead...be doing industrial development, industrial development!

And no longer have a dutch diseased economy....the true problem of Nigeria..

why are we paying subsidy in the first place when we can make our refineries work?

greatestman: That is were you got it wrong, we over hype first class graduates in public universities (Mind you i am student from public university with CGPA of 4.47 on the scale of 5.0 point in my final year). In public universities we have frustrated Lecturers that are not satisfied with their monthly pay, and secondly the employment selection is base on WHO YOU KNOW factor. But lecturers in private universities are selected base on merit. People with passion for teaching, people that have teaching ethics, people that are delighted to see their students passing, people that are ready to help their students. Why won't the students have good grades? unlike our lecturers in public universities that are forming local champion without any teaching ethics, been harsh to their students, nobody is ready to attend to your personal problem. Why won't you graduate with 4.2 in place of 4.6? please carry your frustration to somewhere else, Not private universities first class graduates they are good they have conducive environment for learning, they have good lecturers etc. Any first class product being it from private, state or Federal universities are good in their on way. (Being it sorting, being it malpractice, being it cramming, being it natural intelligence etc)

my dear, 'sorting' ur lecturers and indulging in malpractices can neva get u a first class.

he who comes into equity must come with clean hands. How can a law breaker punish another law breaker? Where is the justification? Yes u can't just go to the middle of Trafalgar Square and start frying akara, it's not right and has to be punished. But the difference between the western world and we is dat the law applies to both sides of the divide, it applies to both the leaders and its people. power of incumbency doesn't really matter as regards the state governors, as long as the presidency still controls the police, army and even inec and still has the PDP structures on ground. I don't think he wld really miss them that much, the only reason why i feel the presidency is reaching out to them is because it needs to have the majority number in the national assembly and not necessarily for re-election.
