@18 platoon

You have forgotten that it is the soldiers that do the fighting abi? one day they will turn their guns against you in the battle field.

Don't forget that it was the same southern kaduna/plateau and other middle belt soldiers you claim to hate that fought to keep this country one while your sokoto brothers were busy playing with goats and cows in the bush; they knew nothing about military warefare. southern kaduna and plateau people have a good number of officers in the Army, Navy and Air force. Two past chiefs of Army staff were from southern kaduna. one of them rose to become chief of Defence staff. The present chief of Naval staff is from southern kaduna, so what are you saying? How many of your sokoto brothers have been chiefs of staff beore?? Most of them are illiterates and are other ranks in most military barracks performing guard duties. Just thank God for quota system, else some of you would have remained in sokoto as almajiris not to talk of going to NDA. I think the southern kaduna /plateau people who were once decieved to be hausas have realised their mistakes, and the next civil war in nigeria will be the rest of Nigeria against your hausa-fulani people.

i doubt if you are a military officer. No military officer will be yanning the rubbish you are yanning here.

@Zebra: I have always said that you lack comprehension. Show me where any of the posters have claimed that the entire Rivers is Igbo. Why not accept your imbecility and ask for help here.
Once again, your write ups is not insightful for you to be here. Just go and play with your fellow kids, you beast of no specific gender.
but you are trying to claim that ikwerre and etche people are igbos, right? why not include ogoni in you list since you have added okrika to it. mumu grin grin
PoliticsRe: Gowon - My Role In Nigeria-biafra War by zebra(m): 8:14pm On Mar 09, 2010
Gowon must be regretting his role in that ciil war. now the same hausas he fouht that war for are killing his own people. Cn't there be a war between the rest of Nigeria and the Hausas? atleast let them have a taste of what the Biafrans went through.

This Zebra of a girl must be the biggest fool on political section. She does not know the Igbo groups in Nigeria. She is not an Igboman and knows nothing about Igbo culture. The young man is making a mockery of himself here.
The worst is that he fails to comprehend what authorities in Igbo culture have written here. Perhaps, he is partially sighted that he can not read what intelligent people have written.
Zebra, just quit contributing here because you are a laughing stock here.
you shut up. i'm from Rivers state and i know what i'm saying. stop claiming that other ethnic groups in Rivers state are igbos. even during the civil war the ikwerres were for Nigeria and not Biafra.

@Andre Uweh
you are the retarded one. Here in nigeria how many times have you seen ikwerre and etche people in your ndigbo or ohanaeze meeting? being officials in your ndigbo meeting still does not make the ikwerre or etche man igbo. Jesus!!, why do igbos like claiming other tribes to be igbo? ikwerres and igbos are like dog and cat, and are not the same people. ikwerre is ikwerre while igbo is igbo for God's sake.
PoliticsRe: Pixes Of Major Kaduna Nzegwu's Grave At The Prestigious Military Cemetery In Kd by zebra(m): 8:05am On Mar 09, 2010
@Andre Uweh
close your mouth there. for one ikwerre girl to be part of your igbo meeting in the UK does not make ikwerre igbo. She did that just because she undeerstands igbo and wants to associate with nigerians that share the same culture as hers. You don't expect her to join a yoruba meeting in the UK? How many ikwerre people here in nigeria attend the same meeting with igbos? Rebisi's own is an individual decision in a far away country where she would hardly get a good number of ikwerre people to start an ikwerre meeting. It still does nt make ikwerre or etche people igbo. sorry grin grin

I am a member of the Igbo Youths UK (www.icsn.co.uk), and the president of this famous body is an Ika son and a proud Igbo.
One of the girls in the executive body of this organisation and the largest Nigerian socio/cultural organisation is from Rebisi. Wherei s Rebisi?.
You do not have the right insight to speak for those Igbo groups as your arguments here baseless and unfounded.
Why are they heading Igbo organisations if they are not Igbo?.
We mark Iri ji festival in the UK and a well established Ika monarch flows in from Nigeria as the Royal father of the day. What does that tell you?.
Common boy, grow up.
why won't they show up in your festivals when you people home and abroad are forcing them to forget their own identity and bear yours.
ikwerre man or ika man attending igbo festival does not transform him from ika or ikwerre into igbo. stop forcing your identity on other tribes. if a calabar man or ijaw man attends the festival, does that make him igbo?
i know why you people are doing all these things. Because of the oil in the south-south region, ikwerre and ika people have suddenly become igbos. See igbo igbo man with sense. grin grin

Nupe and Gwari people in the north are hausas too.

Try and use google to search, you may see schools. if you say HND  they may take it for UK HND which is not up to 120 credit units. That may put you in a disadvantage position. Rather tell them Nigerian HND. Also when sending your transcripts, make sure you send everything from from NDI to HND II to them. if you send only HND transcript it will never amount to 120 credit points. Good luck.

If we scrapped state govts and may be practise governance directly with local councils we could eradicate some of these problems.
Yes, you are correct. it will help in putting an end to all the nonsense about this tribe and that tribe. people will begin to look at them selves as Nigerians and not as igbo, yoruba, bini or nupe.

Sometimes I wonder at the rate some stupendous Nigerians reason. How can some one called Nze-Ogwu is not Igbo.
How can some one who made Ndigbo loose I million souls not Igbo?.
For that F.O.O.L who said Nzeogwu is not IGBO, his cranium should be opened up and his brains thrown to the dogs.
Have you ever wondered why someone called Danjuma or Yakubu cannot be hausa? A lot of people in the middle belt (northern minorities) bear names like Usman, Bala, Ibrahim, Abdul, etc, and yet they are not hausas. please stop living in the past when northerners believed that everybody from the east was igbo and everybody from the north was hausa. Nzeogwu is an igbo name, but his people today refuse to be called igbos. Igbo speaking part of Delta state are not igbos they have their own identity, like Ika and ukwani. Open your brain man and stop living in Nigeria of 1960.

ok i guess you people are talking about computer students here and not computer scientists
I believe you are the one that is talking about computer students. We are talking about computer science students that eventually graduate as computer scientists who do the same mathematics courses with maths and stats students in 100 and 200 levels. Computer students are those who do road side computer courses or those who do computer professional courses like the ones being done in NIIT and APTECH; you don't need any maths course there.

@zebra, you're absolutely right! exactly why I said their math background is more than enough. assuming they're not going into a field that's far too rigorously math intensive, where they might be dealing with complex mathematics that they never learned. however, if we're talking basics, i see no reason why they can't handle some accounting or simple economics problems.
Infact the maths background is almost enough for them to be called mathematicians. Computer science students also do courses like mathematical modelling and Operations research which are kind of economics or business related.

I'm not igbo; the guy in question (Major Nzeogwu) is not igbo too, or is he? Let glory and honour be given to those who deserve it. Tell me one Nigerian military officer living or dead that is as brave as Major Nzeogwu? What he fought for more than 40 years ago (corruption) is what is still killing this great nation Nigeria. Major Nzeogwu is a hero.

nope Comp Scientists are very weak in Maths
Very wrong of you to say that. Computer science students take all maths and stats courses with mathematics students in 100 & 200 levels; and some of them even do better than mathematics students. How comes you are now saying that they are very weak in mathematics? The only difference between mathematics, statistics and computer science students in my former school starts from 300 levels. At 300 levels computer science students start doing more advanced computer science courses especially Advanced OO programming and Artificial Intelligence. Statistics students start doing more advanced stats courses like experimental design and sampling, while mathematics students start doing more advanced maths courses like Topology and Cryptography.

Who go school reach southerners? I'm not saying they did nt go to school, all i'm saying is that many of them were busy patronizing sepe and ogogoro joints even with their Degrees forgetting that there is a quota for them in the military. The hausas were busy joining Army as zombies; though some of them drink burukutu but they still remembered there is a quota in the military waiting for them, and all of them run to the army to fill their quota.

Another dull 'regular' that passed NDA courtesy of quota! The other chiefs of service have not instructed their men to shoot civilians, and turn the other way as their kinsmen looted and burnt property. Why's our military populated with these cattle boys?
Because when they were going to join the Military in mass, your brothers were busy drinking sepe and ogogoro. Don't complain.
