Nigeria is a very funny country. Most Statisticians in nigeria are either not doing the job of a statistician or are jobless. where as people who read nonrelevant courses are made to be heads of statistical bureaus and departments in most ministries. Tell me how we can have reliable data and how we can plan effectively and move the country forward with this kind of attitude, putting a squared peg in a round hole?? Until our government start employing and making use of statisticians both at Federal, state and local government levels, Nigeria will not move forward. |

My sister, abi i blow lie? igbo and ikwerre no get difference? ikwerre like abandoned property and land while igbos like doing business and some bad runs that i won't mention here. |
igbo boy:keep quiet there, you cannot be igbo and ikwerre at the same time. you are either igbo or ikwerre. Just like some people say hausa/fulani; that's a wrong term to use in describing them. It's not possible. you are either fulani or hausa, you cannot be both. Do we have hausa/yoruba? Do we have ijaw/igbo? Do we have igbo/yoruba? And stop calling people daft when you are the one behaving like one. |
Crude Oil:i thought there is an Obi in onitsha? is he not a traditional ruler?? |
Abagworo:igbo language is the central language for all those tribes you listed, agreed. But the ikwerre man does n't see himself as igbo, that is the issue. if you ask an ikwerre man his tribe he will say he's ikwerre and not igbo; thats the truth. other tribes you mentoned in your list will proudly tell you they are igbos at worst they say Delta igbo, but ikwerre will always say they are ikwerre and not igbo. |
Abagworo:it's like saying hausa is fulani or fulani is hausa. ikwerre language is similar to igbo language but not the same thing. even their culture differ a bit. igbos are enterprising people while ikwerres are not. igbos struggle to make their money through business and sometimes bad runs while ikwerre waits to take over abandon property. so how can they be the same thing? |
Arysexy:gwari, zuru, nupe, kataf, jukun and others in the north speak hausa and bear hausa names. infact hausa language is the means of communication among the minority groups in the north; does that automatically make them hausa? |
what's your are of interest, science, social science, management or arts? For sciences we have Mathematical sciences(Mathematics, Statistics & Computer science). Physics, Chemistry or Biological sciences. For social sciences we have Economics, Sociology, Demography, Mass comm. For Management courses we have Bus Admin, Accounting, Public Admin. For Arts courses we have History, Archeology. They are all four-year courses. |
9jaganja:Help me tell the nairaland igbos to leave ikwerre alone. Ikwerres can easily speak and understand ibo language and it's not vice versa. Most igbos don't understand ikwerre language. |
better than going to polytechnic. NOUN will give you a Degree certificate while poly will give you HND. |
kodewrita:guy i have argued this with you before, but i have come to realise that the HND stuff is useless. infact the ND certificate has more value than it. HND in Nigeria is just a waste of resources. Let them cancell and abolish it please so that more nigerians will not fall victims. |
my friend even if no school admits you, just buy JAMB UTME and apply for computer science and start from 100 level. Don't go close to HND sha, that's my advice. Thank you. |
Guy, lets not decieve ourselves, Bsc holders are enjoying themselves everywhere. They give them priority in almost every industries, ministries and schools. If you are about to go for HND please i beg you in God's name to drop that idea, preferably, take JAMB again and start from 100 levels in the university; it will save you the discrimination HND holders pass through in future. Thank you. |
texazzpete:Help me tell that daft that is trying to force another ethnic group to accept being same with his own. i wonder why some igbo people would even bother themselves about that; na wa o. Formerly we use to look at minorities from the north like Plateau, southern kaduna, niger, bauchi, adamawa, nasarawa, etc. as hausas. But these groups today have come out to say they are not hausas and that is what is happening today, they are not hausas. But prior to the nigeria civil war they had that single identity, "hausa". can you force the birom man now to say he is hausa? can you force the southern-kaduna man now to say he is hausa? can you force the gwari man to say he is hausa? can you force southern-borno people and adamawa to accept hausa identity today? Why can't the ikwerres refuse to be igbos too? |
udezue:and who told you your igbo language is not different from that of ikwerre? do you speak exactly the same thing with ikwerre? you are dumb too. |
ijaws and efiks are igbos too, abi? |
9jaganja:The same thing happened to me, I told them in one of the threads that no ikwerre man sees himself as igbo, they almost crucified me. Now here it is coming from an ikwerre man that they are not igbos; yet some igbo people here are still insulting him. Is it now by force to become igbo?? |
tanimz:it's always that one o. Old airport is being used mostly by the airforce. na the same international airport plane jam cow. i wonder where the cows came from. |
tanimz:the one at omagwa. i.e. international airport |
18 platoon:you fit tear sef? no be viagra and buratashi you dey use?? maigoro ![]() i too like kaduna; enoff shacks for christians and muslims, no sharia and no discrimination in shacking . honestly i can see you from here, you are a leper (kuturu); Come unto Jesus and be cleansed of that disease. |
@18 platoon it is one nigeria they said, so i'm at liberty to live in any part of the country. i lived in kaduna and went to the prestigious sardauna's own university in zaria, but i cannot live in your zamfara just the same way you said you cannot live in the south. Mind you we have turned kaduna to be like Lagos and PH, that is why we can shack beer from mando down to sabo with your brothers from zamfara coming to join us in NAF club and PDP . hope e no pain you sha. wild man like you. People like you no fit stay warri, but you can still be useful to us there sha. you will be selling suya or gworo & taba for clubs in Warri ![]() |
edoyad:it is not 1991. it was in 1992. |
This happens whenever the CDS is not from the ARMY irrespective of his the tribe or region . In the days of agwai, ogomudia, azazi it was not so. The rivalry amongst the forces always put a non-army CDS at a disadvantaged position.
Not true. Air Marshal al-Amin Daggash was a CDS (The first Air force officer to hold that position - during Gen Abdulasalam's regime). Also Admiral Ibrahim Ogohi held that post too during OBJ's regime in 1999. They had all the priviledges of a CDS and were well respected by all members of the armed forces (Army, Navy & Air Force). i believe it's a tribal thing; you must come from the north before you can earn enoff respect. |
18 platoon:what events? forcefully occupying positions you are not qualified to occupy like you people did in NNPC?? Our God will surely remove you and your people from there don't worry. |
Sky Spirit:i used to live on the airforce base and some of the officers who were student pilots were my friends. It depends, sometimes because of bad weather they extend their training. sometimes if the aircrafts have problem they extend the training; but ab-initio plus basic flying should not take more than 18 months, after which you go for advance flying. The NAF presently has a good number of pilots who were trained abroad as either figther or transport/operational pilots. |
ocelot2006:It's not the ATR-42 that crash landed; it's a G-222. The ATR-42 is used for maritime patrol and air recce, and its base is benin-city. The G-222 has its base in ilorin. I called one of the ATR pilots yesterday who confirmed to me that it was a G-222 that crashed landed during a mock excercise in PH. The pilots involved are experience pilots who after their basic flying training in nigeria went abroad to qualify as transport pilots; The captain of that flight is a Group Captain while the co-pilot is a Wing Commander. I know both of them very well when they were fling in NAF flying school in kaduna. i doubt if the crash was a human error. |
@18 platoon Have you ever ask yourself why you and your people have been afflicted with diseases like polio and leprosy? you people are trying the children of God, so God is using that to punish you and generations unborn. Polio and Leprosy, . kuturu mallam like you and you are comparing yourself with children of God in southern kaduna and plateau. |
nurexg:So which is better, 223 houseboys from gwantu or 1500 almajiris and 1600 beggars with leprosy from zaria?? Or you want the 233 houseboys to turn themselves into almajiris and beggars? |
@18 platoon i'm from the niger delta, i've lived in kaduna before; i was there when your people tried to impose sharia and the christians repelled it. your smelling taba smoking and gworo chewing brothers will never forget what the christians did to them in kaduna. Most southerners in kaduna now prefer to live in kaduna south across kaduna river bridge; they and the southern kaduna people screwed the asses of your miya kuka eating vampire brothers, i tell you they will never 4get sabo and narayi. . They are still waiting for you and your brothers to make pim again and see. You can instigate them to try it again and see if one hausa man apart from the governor will remain in kaduna. you think say kaduna na jos?? stinking beggers and parasites. |
@18 platoon your people tried it in kaduna starting from 1992, they did not succeed. They tried it again in y2k trying to impose sharia legal system, it failed. Now they 've decided to go to plateau state. you think your fulani brothers have won? you are just decieving yourself. Thank God kaduna is divided by a bridge with christians in the south and muslims in the north; but the main town still remains cosmopolitan with our brave igbo brothers waiting for your hausa brothers to make pim. Why did n't your brothers try the sharia thing again in kaduna? Obori like you. |
igbo boy:you dey mind that yeye obori. na so saddam make mouth till them clear him doubt. Let them just be getting ready for the next civil war, this time nigeria vs hausa/fulani. |
ActiveMan:I think so. They could not succeed in making kaduna and jos to be part of their caliphate during the jihad of usman danfodio, so now they have resumed the jihad again. it will surely fail. They tried to impose sharia in kaduna, it failed. Do you hear them talk again in kaduna? the christians there gave them a double dose of what they gave them, so since then they melowed down. The christians in kaduna are as dangerous and combat-ready as the muslims. |
