It may not be bad but since u nor like am, u nor like am. Simple. Meanwhile I stopped my wife from going naked to her sisters room, when she came to visit us. My reason is simple. I have paid for the body and I alone deserve the right to see it naked. |

I hope u are not being taken for a ride. I've seen a grown man weep because the girl he sponsored and wanted to marry abandoned him when she graduated. Meanwhile if a woman likes u, I expect her to love all that is yours. Summary: You are just a meal ticket. You are neither loved, respected or appreciated. |

You are paranoid and insecure. As far as I know, a child has more stake in his paternal roots. I don't see why ur MIL can't call the baby her daughter. Look ma'am, just grow up. Your husband is beginning to get pissed off. Meanwhile a child should bear the name the parents give except the parents ask another person to name the child. As for your car, put your name. I've never seen where people register a car with Mr and Mrs. |

Why should anybody be praised for trying to eke a living? She can take the other option of staying at home and starving. Africans have this mentality that they should be patted on the back because they are able to provide for their families. |

It's tempting for the married man. There are so many good looking and sexy young women out there. The truth is that both parties need each orher. The girl needs the finances while the man needs the distraction. It's not easy having to deal with a tired wife and litle kids jumping up and down. Truth be told not many girls want to snatch d man from his family. They just want the money he provides. Very few men will leave their family for a mistress. The few who do usually spend the rest of their life regretting it. Both parties know their boundaries and know what the benefits of the relationship is. |

Even the greatest of men have fallen. Solomon, David, Samson. Just pray to God for forgiveness and promise yourself never to err again. Keep away from your ex. No more sentiments and giving yourself as a shoulder to lean on. No need telling anyone anything. Hope u used protection? Don't sleep with your wife till u are given a clean bill. |

Materialistic young people who want to live beyond their means at all cost. She wants to flaunt an Iphone round town. Only greed will make people buy what cost 50 bucks for 5 bucks. People should work hard and live simple. Wait till you can comfortably afford a brand new iphone and not looking for cheap deals along street corners. |

Just came back from Dubai on Tuesday. Spent 3 days with my wife. What a beautiful city. Stopped over at Doha and made a transfer to Dubai. Did lot's of shopping at Diera city mall and at the Dubai mall. The Dubai mall is massive. Visited the aquarium and saw the Dubai fountain. Also visited the gold souk. I had a blast and I think next time I would stay at Abu Dhabi. Dubai is hustings ground for Asian's, Africans and other Arab nationals. Thanks to all who answered my questions prior to my travel. |

justi4jesu: Your BTA is Basic Travel Allowance.
$1000 is around 4000 Dirhams which is okay for 4days provided you ain't gonna shop or maybe just few items and no tour because thats gonna drain your BTA if you are on a tight budget.
African meals for each person ranges from 20 Dirhams to 30 Dirhams around Deira (Rice or Semovita)
Yes your Naija ATM can work here but not on all machines so you just test them on several machines to know the bank that will accept it. As for firstbank(Noor bank,Rak bank) accepts the ATM anyday. Thanks a lot. I can always increase the money I'm taking along. Do I buy dollars or can I get a place to change my naira if I go with naira? Lastly, how much is expected to be my BTA? Sorry for all the questions. I just don't want to be taken unawares. |

justi4jesu: No need for Yellow card.
First if your passport is Virgin, make sure you hold like #1,000 for those Immigration guys because they won't smile with you at all, they will even request for 100 Dollars , Make sure you have your hotel booking, thats another avenue they ouse to extort money from first timers.
Make sure you have your BTA and Credit card with you to show them in case. But hotel booking is very important to avoid any delay from those hungry immigrations you will meet.
If it fits into your budget you could wrap up your vacation with a half day trip into the desert to ride camels and go four wheel driving. Your hotel can organize that for you.
At night consider going to the gold souk even if you don't buy anything, it's incredible to stroll around and witness bartering and the hundreds of stores, if you haggle you'll surely get a good bargain.
At Dubai mall which you can definitely spend a whole day at, make sure to catch the Dancing Fountain shows which begins after 6pm I believe. The wafi gourmet on the promenade offers good views over a traditional Arabic meal.
However, we would advise you stay close to the metro. You get to spend less on transportation if you use the metro. Ensure your hotel is close to a metro station.
You can get the metro cards at any station and also use it to visit any of the malls. The metro saves you on a lot except you are on a very fat budget then you can even go ahead to book those taxis or better still, call a cab anytime you want to go out.
You should definitely shop in Deira (things are cheaper in this area) but try to avoid fellows Nigerians hanging around. Am sure you know why.
You can visit the Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Marina Mall, Ibn Battuta Mall etc. In some cases, you might have a tour agency attached to your hotel.
Take the big bus tour of Dubai, the starting point is at the Deira city centre. You can also buy your Desert Safari ticket from them as well as
the Wild Wadi Water Park at a much discounted price.
Whatever you do, do not miss Ski Dubai at Mall of the Emirates! It is sure gonna be a fantastic experience if you try it. Another place is the Atlantis (The Lost Chambers) which has a beach nearby. Your kids would sure love this, if you are going with your kids.
For African food, you can visit African Home Restaurant at the Mezanine floor Al Hili Hotel on Al Sabka road Deira. They also have a branch
near California Hotel Naif Deira or better still my best African Restaurant is at Bur Dubai called KIZA LOUNGE,very conducive, classy and also free from the whole up and down market noise and too many Nigerian ish.....
You can also visit Dragon Mart at the International City, a Chinese mall with very cheap stuff. You should also try the Karama Market for cheap designer replica that most boutiques in Nigeria sell.
Here is a picture of Ski at Mall of Emirates....Its fun Thanks for this. I'm going with my wife for a visit in two weeks. Will $1000 be enough for both of us? We're spending just 4 days. Hotel and flight has been booked already. What exactly is BTA? Do Naira dominated cards work at the ATM? |
