Hi friends,i need ur advice on which type of smart phone (new) to buy because this is my first time i would be using smart phone....i have 20k with me,i need ur suggestion .

Samsung A2 core.
I bought the first time 25.5k.
Then 24.5k.
Last time a friend bought before the coronavirus issue, 20.5k.

RAM & ROM are not the only factors.. The specs are on this thread for all to see, I did not need to spell it out, the chipset on the Note 7 is also better than what is on the Mi A3...

In any case, the main issue here is that you Infinix haters should acknowledge that this is a decent device from Infinix

The Note 7 of 89K offers 6GB RAM / 128GB ROM, meanwhile the Mi A3 at the similar price range is offering 4GB RAM / 64GB ROM ... So How is it a better offering ❓

If ram and rom is how you qualify a good device or measure a good offering. You don't need answer to your question. But while we are here, the infinix note 7 is better than redmi k30 5G of 6/64, Huawei x10 of 4/128, Realme 6pro of 6/64.

Infinix note 7 shouldn't be compared to all those inferior phones. Infinix should be compared to Samsung note 10, Oneplus 8 pro, xiaomi mi 10 pro, realme x50 pro, Huawei p30 pro and vivo iqoo neo 3.

The awesome thing about the infinix note 7 you have chosen is. It's way cheaper than all the phones mentioned above.

Same here tbh... stayed as a guest for like 6 months. The regular bashing is crazy. And once you say you prefer Infinix or Tecno like this, they'll start calling you a marketer.

I don't subscribe to the condemning of people's choice though I am guilty of this crime as well.
But see it from my perspective.

I give you a great phone with 50k pricing.
Then you say you prefer a more inferior purchase with a higher pricing...

It's either you are a marketer trying to coarse people's choice, or you are plain dumb.
So instead of saying the obvious which is "you are a dummy" many of us prefer the less insulting assessment which is "marketer".

Not really, my infinix hot note pro still takes as good pictures as when I bought it newly.
The catch is, I was among the first 100 person's that bought the infinix hot note pro from jumia. People who bought after the first 100 batch, had tears and agony as their closest companions. I still have the infinix note pro, I have changed the battery twice, the battery is now bad again, screen has left its axis as the glue has wear off... That was when I should have spotted that infinix was owned by Transission the same company that owns Tecno. Because these are also common with Tecno, yet I am even among the lucky ones.

The rom is buggy. Sadly, seeing its a Transission device, there won't be any update to fix this.

If you think your work of getting people informed of Transission's dubious act is not getting noticed. See the sir up there, he has you all to thank for his escape from a potential lifelong of suffering.
If you can, get the redmi note 9s/pro, redmi note 9. Realme 6, 6 pro.
But none of this devices you can buy offline, except you can wait till mid July or early September.
you can also get the redmi note 8 pro if you need a device asap.

Unfortunately, coronavirus is a much bigger problem in the world than making profits. Xiaomi isn't interested in sending their products to Nigeria if it's going to sit in the shelves of a store.
They are focusing on countries where sales are allowed to commence.
I have 2 orders for the redmi note 9 and 3 others for the redmi 9 which has not been launched yet, I was expecting the redmi 9 to launch this month. Seeing it only got its Bluetooth certification few days ago, May is looking like a month the redmi 9 won't be launching in.

Plus xiaomi is so focused on affordable 5G phones, every of their attention is on the 5G front. With all this considered, don't put your hopes on getting the redmi 9 series in stores here Nigeria anytime earlier than September. Sad, but it's how it is right now.

It was a setting under battery lab and the incessant web page reload has stopped

Post screenshot and possibly a simple tutorial on how you did it sir, should anyone using the s5 or any other device face similar issue. Glad it has been solved.

Why didn't the phone come with app drawer like any other phone? To root the phone is a long process which you must do with PC

It doesn't use app drawer because miui is aimed at bringing the ios experience to android.

If you are not a techy person, tread cautiously when buying this phone.

It's not that difficult, just install nova or any other launcher. Or the app drawer you are talking about is different?

I would never fault your error on Tecno, I believe by now, everyone on nairaland is aware of what Tecno's deficiencies are and none of them is a typing error, except you are saying the touchpad is faulty.

Here are my facts.
For every transision device you buy there is a 45% untraceable hardware manufacturer inside. Unknown manufacturer equals to cheap materials, which results in below publicised performance.
How do I know this?
Till date, the manufacturer of the camon15 camera lens are still unknown.
The actual battery fast charge wattage support is still unknown.
The technology tecno used to archive an impossible feat of shoving a 48mp camera main lens into an unsupported chipset is still a guessing contest.
If the camon 15 premier was priced for 18k, no one would be asking this question. But asking a 100k for a device with so many lacking details; day light robbery. [ http://twitter.com/zesushv ].
Infinix has made the same claims, so far, not even on the phone released date was the hardware manufacturer of the camera main lens, the focal length or even the authenticity of the secondary lenses revealed.
No devs support for any transision device you buy.
No second hand value.
When a Transission device is opened due to a specific fault, every other aspects of the device becomes a hazard waiting to happen.

Please verify those details I have posted, and come to disqualify any of the above information.

I won't to really know more about realme c. In so site the specs is 3gbram/32gb no fingerprint while some site shows 4/64 with fingerprint whats the real specs? And what's the price

The initial model of the c3 has no fingerprint, the one launched in Indonesia and available on aliexpress has fingerprint scanner.
I have only seen a 3/64 variant. Less than 52k plus shipping on aliexpress.

I'd pick the C3 over the redmi 8 any day simply on the basis of having a far better chipset and a slightly lower price. The advantages of redmi are negligible to me, especially the IR blaster, the Gorilla glass 5 and Type C which is 2.0. You can't say redmi has a RAM advantage coz C3 also has 3GB and 4GB variants.

The only advantage of redmi that you forgot to mention is that it supports 18W fast charging while C3 only supports 10W.

I know its a personal choice, but one of the major reason I am finding it difficult to use any other product as my daily driver other than a xiaomi/redmi device is the ir blaster.
Don't get me wrong, I have few devices I pack sometimes. But if you find me with a smartphone, 9 out of 10 times, it's a xiaomi/redmi device.
I don't think I have any usb type B device or accessory if the infinix note pro with me is excluded.
I am yet to see a realme c3 variant with 4gig ram, I have only seen 3/64. Just like the redmi note 9 3/64 being the base variant, instead of 3/32.

Having corning gorilla glass protection on your device is the best thing anyone could ask for on a display. It keeps so much physical rash from the screen surface.

Not withstanding, just for experience purpose, I am considering the realme c3...
So I can have an above basic knowledge of Realme's lineup when suggesting the brand to others...

The Realme C3 should be cheaper than the Redmi 8.

Other than these features.
Ir blaster, corning gorilla glass 5, usb c and extra 1gig ram.
Realme c3 matches.... Forget it... Xiaomi made the redmi 8 an impossible competitor to beat.
Even xiaomi come need to gather money from other phone sales just to be able to make a better phone in redmi 9 than the redmi 8.

I don't think redmi 9 will see the light of day anymore... Xiaomi made a 5years proof lowend phone in redmi 8...
