ahnie: Sick psycho. This is a functioning country, meanwhile if it were to be in Nigeria the police would not do anything at all to fish out the perpetrators of there crime.
Simply put...who don't die,don die go be that. But many police officers who committed crimes and are caught are standing trial, some convicted and on death sentence. One was dismissed and is already standing trial for rape in this very week. So here too, criminal police officers stand trial for crimes. |

Car Talk › Re: Car Owners And Experts Can You Tell If A Vehicle Had Accident In The Past? by zikter(m): 4:23pm On Sep 24, 2021 |
adonainana: Which car have you seen was manufactured in a certain year and was not sold until 4 years later and was left deliberately in Toyota show room or Honda show room
Or who have you seen would buy a brand new car today and leave it untouched for 4 years before driving it.
All the tokunbo nonsense coming into Nigeria is not any thing 3 months used or 4 months used junk car agents in nigeria are going around about.
A car made in 2013 would have had more than 1 if not 3 or 4 owners and it has been driven for years and years, the only saving grace is the roads where it was driven which are developed countries roads so when you see it after 10 years it looks like a human being drove it.
This does not mean when the 2013 car gets to Nigeria it is costing the price the brand new one didnt even cosst 10 years ago in dollars when it came out.
Omo the math is not adding up okay, cars don't spend long periods on shelf as I thought then. |
Car Talk › Re: Car Owners And Experts Can You Tell If A Vehicle Had Accident In The Past? by zikter(m): 4:02pm On Sep 24, 2021 |
adonainana: it depends on the extent of the accidental damage and the expertise of the automobile panel technician that worked on the body.
In real sense the factory body material is not so much different from what local panel beaters use, but remember in the factory, the body of a car is built in a mechanised fashion, and in built like a skeleton, so its easier to build a house from scratch than to patch it when it has been bulldozed.
So technically nothing wrong with an accident car, so far it has been repaired and fixed properly
But trust Nigerians, First body this First body that,
a used Toyota Camry car that was produced in 2013 , almost 10 years ago now almost sells for almost $10,0000 dollars (5,500,000 million naira )
Imagine a used car costs 5.5 million naira, and the used car is 10 years old
Are you telling me for the last 10 years, the owners who have used it parked it in the garage and were babysitting it like a baby for 10 years before it found itsway to Nigeria and be sold like brand new again
Kai But I want to ask, if a car was manufactured in 2013 but not sold till someone bought it in 2017 used and sold it, will what you said above apply? Cos technically the car is 10 years old but it actually use is like 4 years |

Nasri100: Another poorly backed review without a valid proof, oh well the typical Nigerian style of reasoning
“I don't know the place he got the 80k job, but it is certainly not an organized place that will offer him an opportunity to grow.”
Yah the employers didn’t include NYSC in their conditions for employment already makes them “not organized” and won’t offer him an opportunity to grow.
Because of NYSC?
Don’t quote me again bro. you are very ignorant of the value of 80k compare to what op is contemplating. Very typical of I know all people. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: NYSC Or A N80,000 Monthly Job Offer, Which Should I Go For? by zikter(m): 9:58pm On Sep 10, 2021 |
Nasri100: Agreed. People.
Very interested to know the percentage of these people? Maybe the Nigerian bad unemployment rate is actually a scam and exaggerated as these multinational lots are swallowing them in from what you have said.
Mate, not everyone will work with multinational companies.
We barely know anything about the OP but for him to bring this topic to a public forum shows he’s probably in serious need and desperate. Asking him to defer a salary job that is more than the minimum wage in sh*t hole Nigeria is a crazy thing to do.
The OP should keep the job and try to work out how to do the NYSC while he’s still employed over there.
Then after that probably get a visa and leave if he wants. Once again base on his presentation, he is thinking if he starts the job, he will no longer be interested in nysc which is quite dangerous. I don't know the place he got the 80k job, but it is certainly not an organized place that will offer him an opportunity to grow. Any reasonable place here even apart from multinationals will demand for your nysc certificate as part of the your documentation process. Without it, it is harder to advance your career. Well, I still insist the 80k he is thinking of is not really worth to distract him from completing his nysc. Also completing his nysc will not stop him from relocating to anywhere he wishes. If he work the two together, good for him, though I still think he doesn't have that luxury. |

Nasri100: Very easy to type these multinational jargons on the internet in comparison to the reality facing this f ucked up country.
OP keep the job and try to work the NYSC.
Better still fight to get a VISA like I did. Nigeria is not worth it. it is not multinational jargon. People are getting opportunities in those companies even as of now. I repeat if he wishes to be a career person in Nigeria, he should get his nysc certificate. The 80k which is not really much should not blind him, he should look at the bigger picture |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: NYSC Or A N80,000 Monthly Job Offer, Which Should I Go For? by zikter(m): 9:30pm On Sep 10, 2021 |
11Anonymous: Just got a job offer of about 80k per month and I planned on going for NYSC before the year ends.
Which should I go for, knowing that I may no longer be interested in serving after getting a job? OP, the popular advice here is the job, but be very careful, this is a delicate situation. consider your age, if you are close to surpassing the age limit for nysc, then go for nysc. NYSC certificate is a requirement for many job opportunities if you wish to be a career person. Even if you are in your early twenties, many of the good openings in multinationals require nysc completion to start as a graduate trainee. For me 80k job is not really worth it to forego nysc. The money is too small compare to the benefits the nysc may certificate offer in future. |

executioner: But wait o I want to ask, why didn't the American government pack all these military stuff away. Why did they leave them? Even if they didn't themselves need them again why did they not sell them to other countries? Because I know one thing and that is that these military vehicles and stuff are expensive. Except of course there is an agreement between the Americans and the Taliban. These weapons were not for the Americans but for Afghan government. Most of the weapons you see the Talibans with were captured when they over ran afghan military formations, some were surrendered by government forces. The only equipment the Americans had access to and destroy were the ones in their control, majorly at the airport. |
