HeroKing: Dear all,
I recently used bitlocker on my Windows 7 to encrypt a Portable Harddisk but decided to decrypt it when i found out that bitlocker can't be opened in XP.
But halfway through the decryption, i accidentally pulled my laptops cord and it shutdown. When booted again, i can't open the Harddisk When i Try to open bitlocker drive encryption in control panel, it is not responding and also, my computer is not recognising the HD.
What do I do to recover the data in the HD please? lesson number 1 never try to over do things by trying to be very technical like MI6 or CIA etc did you try to unstall the program and then reinstall ? |

samolina1: @edubaff. Does it download files on your hardrive? If it does not you may have poor internet access, just switch to the one that have strong signal in your area. If it can download it i.e it tells you download complete, and you are unable to open the file, the file may be damaged try downloading file from another site. If it tells you you do not have permission you may not have administrator right to install softwares try login as administrator or run it as administrator, to do this, right-click on the file and select "run as" Note: you will have to activate the administrator password if you do not have one before you can run as admistrator, to do this go to control panel and select user account and enable administrator password. These are if you running VISTA or 7, if you are running XP it may be virus effect, try getting an updated Kerspasky Antivirus. and also check if the file being downloaded are the compressed with WINRAR or WINZIP |

ubiaa5: Jenny why y are you wasting your breath with this guy that obviously follows what he reads in books rather than learning from the reality of what goes on from day to day,he has an 8 yr old so that makes him an authority, can he sincerely say how much time he spends with that child on a daily basis? jennykadry: Copying led to learning, that means before there can be learning there must be copying, a child cannot learn if he or she does not copy.
I work with kids, I have watched them grow, so sorry darling a child cannot learn if he or she does not copy, it is like giving a child a tooth brush, if that child hasn't seen someone use it before, he or she is just going to throw it away or play with it, or do something else with it, but if mummy has been giving that child a tooth brush and encouraged the child to do same as her, then that child will remember that mummy used that brush on her teeth.
Children learn how to walk by copying, children learn how to dance by copying, children learn how to clap their hands by copying
There is no difference btw copying and learning, without you showing them/telling them what to do, they are not Gods and can't decode it. They watch you do things everyday and copy you, and that's how they learn ok lets agree to disagree we got different views and ways to teach |

Family › Re: Child Bearing and Timing of Child Bearing by ZIMDRILL(op): 12:54pm On Feb 12, 2011 |
jennykadry: Zim your explanation is not making sense(no offense)
He copied mummy and that was how he learnt
I give up on you jare, Kids learn from copying, I have watched kids grow up, study kids growth and developmental stage even if you have to get a book for it, pls do, it will help answer your question. my explanation is very clear dear on your example he didnt learn he just copied hence he used his shirt well lets agree to disagree |

jennykadry: I have a nephew that learnt how to clean his hands after eating just by watching mummy, whenever mummy finish eating, she washes her hands and dries with a napkin or hand towel, unknowingly to her, her son would watch her and copy same, but this time using his shirt. He was always copying mummy until it became a part of him and that was how he learnt good hand hygiene you didnt think through with your example he copied but he didnt know why they did it, so he didnt learn, when you learn you know why you do it thats the reason he used his shirt becoz he didnt learn he thought that anything can be used to wipe off when you learn you know the reason why you do it and what is not supposed to be done during the process and also what is not supposed to be used i hope you get my drift a good example a male child can copy to open his zippers and pull his willy out to pee but he wouldnt have learn to pull up his willy and aim for the toilet seat, which is a crucial thing he will just spoil his trousers |

manny4life: My own organization doesn't even block these site, but when they blocked NL, I revolted. I kindly sent IT an email requesting them to take it off their list and they did. So just ask them to take it off, they might be nice enough to remove you computer from that list. What really scares me is that sites like NL, someone tried for some reason someone tried to do some phony stuff using my IP address, like I was told by IT, they couldn't get any further. I don't know what the security platform of your organization is, but networking sites to my knowledge do have certain security threat levels and it reduces productivity so again just talk to IT, they might be nice enough to take your computer off the list. it depends with organization, even if you talk to the IT he might refuse becoz him answers to his IT supervisor, so your supervisor might ask why you are being able to access such sites when there supposed to be block so the IT guy might be in trouble so the thing is, would the IT risk it for you ? |

denzel2009: How can you have a P2P client on your work PC? Things people take for granted sha, you'll make the Enterprise network vulnerable to hacking and intrusions.
Please dont advice people to bypasss proxy servers especially at work, that's the easiest way to get sacked- Computer misuse Act besides being sacked the administrator can block all privileges to change such settings |

And he said "my PC" which means that he is the administrator or have administrative right. @tope4all. Which browser do you use? Does anyone(computer geek) use your computer? Are you sure it's not been blocked by firewall or restricted by your browser? You may try installing different browser! simple i am systems administrator we always block such sites remember he said it is a WORK PC it doesnt go direct to the internet it goes through a company default route and the administrator set up that |
