@ zimm pls i 'm working on this lappy with just the cursor on blank screen when i tried to power it up. when i pressed the power button, it stays for about 1-2 minutes and then the cursor is blinking on a blank screen, no options to go into BIOS and it wouldn't boot from CD

pls note that the screen is lighted up but blank with a blinking cursor.

i suspect the monitor cable or the monitor but could this be caused by the VGA chip on the motherboard?
