A lecturer in a tertiary institution in Osun
state (name withheld), was said to have
fainted in a bank on Thursday, August 6, over
failure of the Osun state government to pay
him his expected salary.

The lecturer fainted after he discovered that he
was paid N150 by the state government for his
February salary instead of N150,000. The lecturer, a post-graduate student at the
Federal University of Technology, Akure, was
expected to write an examination but lamented
the money would not cater for his transport. According to Daily Post, he had some
outstanding fees to pay at the university which
he had proposed to pay with the expected
salary. He was however admitted into a private hospital
in Osogbo where his blood pressure is being
managed.

Technology, Esa-Oke; Osun State Polytechnic,
Iree and colleges of education in Ilesa and Ila-
Oragun have also expressed concern over
alleged discrepancies in the payment of their
salaries since November 2014. In June, Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun
claimed the economic situation that led to his
administration’s inability to pay workers’ salaries
was beyond his control

This cousin gets to inherit some 50% of his genetic composition from my Aunty or Uncle. Along the line, we end up sharing some genes.

lol.... my friend who is of Sri-Lanka origin gave me a gist of how two of her paternal cousins ended up falling in love and marrying each other. According to her, all the cousins used to be free with each other before then , they saw each other as brothers and sisters. But those two cousins ruined it for them. Things became awkward between everyone. In her own words "It is still very disturbing that all those hugs and sitting on each others laps that we assumed was innocent among us was actually not innocent. The day they came out with their relationship was the day those unnecessary physical contacts came to an end among us. Because it was and it is still disturbing that they took it further"
