Peter Obi knows his rump is out in the open and the game is up for him so he ran in his confused state to attend the Presidential Rally of Makinde who is also contesting the Presidential Elections on the platform of a different party from his (APM)! Strange! Peter Obi’s brain is in overdrive!

What a question! He is so shallow he cannot appreciate the obvious fact that it is because they are not armed with Ak-47 rifles like the bandits. Benue youths are smarter than folks who beat their chests like baboons shouting war cries without weapons in their hands. That is foolery.

Did you approach them with AK-47 rifles? It just shows how bold and sensible Benue youths are and that armed with AK-47 rifles they will confront bandits and Fulani killers in their space who usually are armed with AK-47 rifles.

What do you have against this better life? Is it Stockholm syndrome suffering?

You still have not told us exactly how he will do what he says he will do without further harming our economy. All PDP and Atiku did before which we enjoyed and are now paying for is eating our tomorrow today by profligate living. That is what they were known for. Discipline and strict economic management is required to have a well run economy and society. Tell us what he and Obasanjo did with N16 billion in power issues. Atiku is on record as admitting they mismanaged that money. The Dubai Resident terribly reeks of corruption!😷!!!!

Business › Re: Nigeria’s Biggest Insurance Firm, NICON Loses License, Taken Over By Receiver by zoedew: 8:17pm On Sep 07
Omooba77:
Nigeria’s biggest insurance company, National Insurance Corporation of Nigeria, NICON, has finally lost its operational licence and taken over by a Receiver Manager.

The operational licence of NICON – owned by the Federal Government and established in 1969 by Decree 2 – has been revoked by the National Insurance Commission, NAICOM, Nigeria’s insurance regulatory body.

NICON’S operational licence marked RIC – 049, was cancelled by NAICOM following the company’s persistent failure to meet prescribed regulatory requirements.

Following the revocation of the operational licence, NAICOM has appointed a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Chukwuma-Machukwu Ume, as Receiver and Provisional Liquidator of the company.

In a swift move to safeguard the properties of the ailing NICON, the Receiver Manager and Provisional Liquidator has issued a public notice notifying policy-holders, creditors, business partners, federal and state governments, the FCT and land registries to direct matters concerning the affairs, assets and business of the company to it.

The notification warned that transactions, contracts, commitments or other dealings purportedly undertaken on behalf of NICON, being In-Liquidation, would not be honoured without the ratification of Receiver and Liquidator.

The development effectively transferred the control of the company’s affairs to the appointed Receiver and Provisional Liquidator, who is mandated to secure the company’s assets, establish its liabilities and oversee the process of winding up its operations in accordance with the law.

NAICOM’s action against NICON is part of the regulator’s enforcement of the new capital requirements introduced under the Nigerian Insurance Industry Reform Act (NIIRA) 2025.

The commission had required insurance operators to meet the new minimum capital requirements within the stipulated recapitalisation period or have their operational licence revoked.

NICON Insurance was among operators that failed to satisfy the prescribed requirements within the stipulated deadline, resulting in the cancellation of its licence.

With the appointment of the Receiver Manager and Provisional Liquidator, the focus is currently on taking control of the company’s assets and records, identifying legitimate liabilities and ensuring that the winding-up process is conducted in an orderly manner.

The Receiver is also expected to liaise with NAICOM on matters arising from the liquidation and submit periodic reports on the progress of the process.

The development placed the interests of policy-holders, creditors and other stakeholders at the centre of the liquidation exercise, particularly the verification and settlement of legitimate claims and liabilities.

The appointment of a Receiver/Provisional Liquidator is considered in the insurance industry as a significant regulatory intervention as it removes the management of the affected company from the normal course of business and placed its affairs under the control of an officer charged with preserving and realising its assets for the purpose of settling lawful obligations.

The move is also to prevent unauthorised dealings with the company’s assets and ensure that transactions undertaken during the liquidation process are properly controlled.

NAICOM maintained in a statement that the enforcement of the recapitalisation requirements is aimed at strengthening the financial capacity of the insurance industry and ensuring that only adequately capitalised operators remain in business.

The regulator recently announced that 43 reinsurance companies had successfully met the new minimum capital requirements at the end of the recapitalisation exercise.

All talk! Smooth tongue. Doing the things he just outlined would require untangling red tapes which would certainly take more than a year. He is not governing as a military dictator who can decree things to be done immediately. The timeline he gives clearly shows that he is either not for real or has a poor understanding of how government works world over.

kpakpandoN:
When I was studying for my Master’s degree, there was a young man who was working in a professor’s office as a messenger. In those days, there were no mobile phones, so whenever someone called the office phone to speak with the professor, the boy would answer the phone first before taking it to the professor. Most times, however, whenever he answered the phone, the people on the other end of the call would say, “Prof,” thinking it was the professor who had answered. After some time, the boy began to call himself ‘Prof,’ and people joined in, jokingly calling him the same. One day, he said to himself, “Hey, I know that people jokingly call me ‘Prof, but I can really become a professor.” By the time I left the University of Lagos as a lecturer, he was already studying for his PhD.

1 Samuel 2:7-9 says that God can lift beggars from the dunghill and sit them among princes. I can relate to this because I had no shoes for the first 18 years of my life, yet by God’s special grace, I have met many heads of state and engaged in lengthy conversations with them. The same God who promoted me can also promote you, if you surrender all to Him.

Some people experience what can be called ‘normal’ promotions in life. A good example of this is when people make steady progress in their careers. They might get salary increases once every year, and as they work hard, they get promoted once every five years. While this is good, I know that God has greater plans for His children. In John 10:10, Jesus said that He came to the earth that we might have life and have it more abundantly. God wants you to enjoy promotion that is beyond normal; He wants you to enjoy supernatural promotion. David was someone who experienced supernatural promotion. One day, he was on the field tending his father’s sheep, and the next day, the Ultimate Promoter arranged for him to be anointed as a king (1 Samuel 16:11-13).

Beloved, the key to experiencing supernatural promotion is to humble yourself before God and live in total obedience to Him. When you do this, He will exalt you in due time and crown your life with His glory (1 Peter 5:6). I pray that the Ultimate Promoter will give you a supernatural promotion before the end of this year, in Jesus’ name.

Kingzjayzee:
Popular Davido’s associate, Ego ‘Tiny’ dies after penis enlargement procedure in Thailand

Ego underwent the procedure at an unnamed clinic in March 2026 while on a luxury vacation with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, in Thailand.

According to TMZ, an inquest at the Inner West London Coroner’s Court heard that the wealthy British-Nigerian businessman and influencer had 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine injected into his pen!s.

Following the procedure, the 43-year-old was staying at a Marriott hotel in Bangkok with his wife when he complained of chest pain and was rushed to Sukhumvit Hospital after reportedly passing out twice.

Danielle informed doctors about the filler injections, but Ego lost consciousness before a recommended CT scan could be performed.

He was transferred to intensive care after doctors determined that he had suffered a pulmonary embolism — a blockage of a blood vessel in the lungs.

Medics reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes, but Ego died in the early hours of March 6.

A postmortem examination conducted in the United Kingdom reportedly found cellular material in his lungs matching the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure.

Coroner Jean Harkin subsequently ruled that Ego died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the cosmetic procedure.

DAILY POST reports that Ego was known for showcasing his lavish lifestyle on Instagram.

He was later buried in London in a gold coffin reportedly costing more than $745,000.

Speaking at his funeral, Davido said the events “don’t feel real,” describing Ego’s death as “heavy.”

Cubana Chief Priest also shared a video from the funeral and paid tribute to the deceased.

He wrote: “Rest Easy Brother @ego2222. Even In Death, The Lifestyle Was Kept 700 For You.

“Today London Stood Still For You Tiny, We Love You, We Celebrate You and We Will Never Forget You Brother, We Lived Bro, Good Memories Na Water. RIP Big Tiny Please Watch Over Us #30BillionGeng.”
