Oh my goodness! Seriously?
We cannot discourage men from cheating if they are bent on increasing their home run scores. I think we need tv shows with less seduction.
TV shows will not help all that much.

What could help?

To tell you the truth, I have absolutely no idea. If Leaders cheat shamelessly, why won't the average man see cheating as a leverage?
I'm tired of it. I promise you that I preach and preach to guys about NOT cheating and it goes in one ear and comes out the other.
It doesn't affect them. It's like they don't care if they're hurting anyone else.

Abi! Nothing else.
I don't want to give up sha. There might be some men who are morally inclined NOT to cheat.

Not really, If I was doing that, i should also advocate for the ills dominant in this society besides, I believe that more crimes are commited in America per sq m than Nigeria. Much as i agree that so many problems will come out from the TV show, i still believe that Nigeria is among the fastest society that evolves with little time and monogamy seems to be outsourcing polygamy today. With that notion, it means that in 10 years time, southern Nigeria  will more or less reinstate the efficacy of monogamous relations. Check this out, younger Nigerian couples are not having the usual 6-7-8 kids our parents had, why? They are having 2-3 nowadays, why is that?  Ibos and other south southerners  in the 21st century are predominantly monogamous prolly because of religion or what not  and the Yorubas are taking queue and with time, polygamy will be old fashioned. You have seen recent cases of women challenging their husbands at the divorce court in todays Nigeria, what happened to the old culture of the man telling the woman to pack her belongings and leave? I think it boils down to economic strength, the more women get educated and garner economic strength, the more they can stand before their husband and demand for respect without the fear of being thrown out.

, ; and in the context of that, what is the gender ratio?

If there are more women of child bearing age than there are men, and even if the men choose to remain monogamous, the ambitious women will force them into adulterous and compromising situations where her immediate interest may likely not be directed at his matrimony but nonetheless to have him father a child for her that she could then raise independently on her own.  To you, this is an educated woman utilizing the advantages of her liberties and independence as an accomplished woman to forge forward within the mainstream society.  The problem is your objective with the topic is already defeated on two principles _ 1. cheating; 2. adultery.  So how do Southerners win in such an arrangement?

Did i hear you say force? So you men are still using the same lame excuse Adam gave God for disobeying Him?

Are you saying that because of these problems above, we should continue with our serial cheating method and hope for the best? Gender ratio? I've challenged Hannibal before to prove to me beyond reasonable doubt that there are more women in Nigeria than men.

Please let's not get into that one. You know how many girls come to NL crying daily about being cheated on? It's increasing daily. What happens when you give your all in a relationship just to find out your partner's been sleeping around. I gather girls don't cheat if they are in a serious relationship unless they are really in a bad state. But guys love adventure and cheating is a game to them as long as they can get away with it, it gives them serious bragging rights.

I think the excuses guys come up with because they cheat is just plain stupid. If you are going to cheat, don't blame it on temptation, blame it on you not being able to control yourself. Faithful men are so rare these days.oi dey.

Numbers wise, men are the greatest cheats. Skill wise. . . goes to the ladies. A cheating man is easier detected then finding a red feather mixed with a bunch of white ones.

Spoken like a true man. A round of applause goes to Negro. Typical of you to twist my words to your own meaning. That is the same code a man does when he cheats. Tries to put the blame on the woman so that he can justify himself. Utter nonsense.

Re: Do We Need A TV Show To Discourage Men Who Cheat? by topup: 10:02pm On Aug 08, 2008
The problem isn't society, the problem is the way the men and women have grown up, and even more, their past relationships, their upbringing. Out of all the countries in the world, we know Nigeria is well known for polygamy, because traditionally, it is acceptable in certain cultures/tribes. It began long before this 21st century idea that the media has made people have fidelity issues. I think the number of children who's parents argue and almost live separate lives, who's fathers have girlfriends on the side or who's mothers have run abroad or started almost like a separate life for themselves (though still attached to the man via marriage) is shockingly high. I mean my mother and father have been brought together under the term marriage, but they live in different continents, my father if he wanted to could have a girlfriend on the side and my mother another man, truly, since they are both living separate lives. If I grew up thinking this was okay, I could also have a higher chance of cheating, as I wouldn't see the taboo aspect of it.

Okay!
1. Women cheat when they feel unloved in their relationship. They find someone who shows them unconditional love and bam! they fall right into it.
2. Women cheat when they wanna inflict revenge on their partners. Some women find out their partners are cheating and instead of leaving straight off, they try and make the guy's life a living hell by cheating with somebody close to him
3. Women cheat because the guy is not satisfactory enough. . . . emotionally, physically, whichever way they come.

So tell me. . . what are some of the reasons why guys cheat?

and you dont think that men do cheat for all the stated reasons as well, pls note that i am not saying cheating is aiight oh, but i think that men do cheat for those reasons as well,  still blov that when a man is getting it really good at home, whenever he wants, chance of him cheating is low, but when u marry a woman and all of a sudden all the good style she use to give you is no more and she doesnt dress as sexy as before and all of a sudden, she cant kneel to give u 'doggy' and she is always tired to give u some, a man will go out there and do what he has to do.
