Pastor Oritsejiafor has not been exonerated in anyway. All these does not explain why of all the planes in the country, it had to be his plane.
It also doesnt explain why after telling nigerians he needs tge plane for evangelism and that he can no longer be using commercial flights, he is suddenly leasing his plane out for business purposes.all of these places him as a very very confused man with no direction or principle. He just looks for the sweetest story to tell at any point.he is a disgrace to CAN

You can go ahead and tell us why his Plane was used? Even a toddler who wants to launder money would not one to leave a trace by using anything that is traceable to him.
if his church members bought him a plane for evangelism and he decides to commercialize it to help maintenance cost and not burden the church what crime has he committed? And by the way why do you think he owes you an explanation for what he does with his property?
Your family must be confused not certain your conception was planned..Ayo Oritsejafor is a gift to CAN.

Propaganda cum propagandum. Monies have changed hands. After almost a month? How long does it take to verify the legitimacy or otherwise of a transaction? How can a legitimate deal be made by flying cash around undocumented without the presence of senior officials from the office of the National Security Adviser nor Ministry of Defense nor any of the Service Chiefs. What kind of a deal that will contravene the laws of Money laundering and the CBN cashless policy.. What kind of a "legitimate" deal that will use a private jet belonging to a "Pastor" and Jonathan's ally, ex Armed robber(lols) and controversial figure rather than one of the over 12Presidential Jet? Very funny

Just like i said earlier, most nairalanders have their brain cavity filled with sanddost. They neither understand issues nor have sound morals. Its either they do not have parents or lack good parental care and upbringing, neither do they have elders around them let alone knowing what is respect for the elderly and those in high authority. When i look at the kind of abusive, incisive, derogatory comments that are supposed to reserved for dogs coming from most most of us and some of our elite, no need calling names because they do not deserve it, i can righly say that they lack proper upbringing too. Now south africa has changed the story, i watch to see if they will apologize or not. Like i said before, every work has a pay day and the form it will take no one knows.

tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue All na poo! poo! poo! poo! If you exonerate president Ayo of money laundering in this not so convincing fashion what do you say about the breach of Aviation laws concerning an aircraft licenced for a purpose other than carrying government money and conveying people outside it's licence (since the were not executive members of the company that jet belonged to?)?

tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue
Is it just the aviation laws what of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) laws on leasing company property to another organisation without any formality?

tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue
Why would a CAN spokesperson (and not the PR staff of the company (or ministry) that own the jet be releasing official reasons for the cash and carry business the jet was involved in and in the process wittingly admitting to leasing the jet (breaking the company laws of the country)? Or is there no distinction between Oritsejafor as CAN president and Oritsejafor as head of his church (primary constituency)?

tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue
Say I no go school reach or say I no fit do nothing as a common ordinary citizen no mean say my sense don dull reach the level of millions of gullible nigerians.

All this rubbish you wrote actually appears like sense to you right?
Pst Ayo in his explanation send he obtained relevant permit to commercialize the aircraft..
CAN you state clearly the aviation law the pastor broke in his bid to commercialize the aircraft? Secondly don't swallow every poo you read Falana in his assertion was not even sure what the jet was as, he used the word "allegedly" registered for evangelism. The question is why is Falana not in court to prove his claim? Secondly there is no law which prohibits two company from entering into contract agreement Eagle Air and Green Coast. And for your information Green Coast Produce Ltd the company which the jet was leased out to gave an official statement even making public the name of the person who chattered the jet to SA as John Ishayku. Are you just being sarcastic or your brains have been bleach washed? How many Nigerian big men have been caught for money laundering? The son of a state governor is facing money laundering charges in Nigeria for attempting to smuggle undeclared money through our airports and he is not a toddler. Any money being smuggled into or out of a country ( against relevant laws) is known as money laundering. You think if a plane load of dollars land at heathrow airport or JFK airport (undeclared), you think the authorities there would accept the explanation that the Nigerian government are aware of the cash. The people caught would be facing jail time by now.

If Oritsejafor's members bought him a plane for evangelism, how come he decided to use it for a commercial venture without their knowledge? Besides are you aware that it is illegal to convert personal planes to commercial purposes in Nigeria? Is the pastor going to be paying taxes on this commercial venture?

Ayo is a Gift for CAN by turning can into a branch of PDP? In sane societies, Ayo would have since resigned as CAN president to save christians the embarrassment of his involvement in the money laundering/ arms smuggling saga.

Pastor Ayo need not explain that he obtained relevant permit to commercialize his aircraft (gift), all he needs to do is to show us and his constituency the said permits he claims to have obtained, and skeptics would get off his case.

Allegedly is a term used by lawyers in cases not yet determined by a court. Even if a person is caught on camera stealing, he is still an alleged theif.

Since you are the person in charge of the leasing deal, please explain how it works; Pastor Oritsejafor's church members decided to buy him a plane to ease his evengelical travels, the pastor then decided to lease the plane tho Eagle Air (his company), who then leased it to Green Coast Produce Ltd, who in turn chartered it to John Ishayku, who then used it to ferry cash illegally to South Africa on behalf of the Nigerian government to illegally buy weapons (without the knowledge of the south african government). They would then clandestinely ferry the money in the same plane back to Nigeria.

Am neither of the above. And maybe you have been programmed to reason one way. How did you know his members are not aware? Are you a member of his church? And obviously you turned a blind eye to the part were he said he obtained relevant permit to commercialize the plane and I haven't read any report from NCAA indicting him of any wrong doing, for the sake of clarity even the Minister of Aviation absorbed him from any complicity. The company which the jet was leased to not going to pay relevant tax from proceeds of the plane?
From your reply its obvious you have a made up mind regarding PastorAyo. CAN a branch of PDP? because he supports the President right? Or have you seen him in a PDP political rally or him making a speech on behalf of PDP? The last time I checked his speech regarding PDP he was calling Bamanga Tukur a Boko Haram spokes person. And even if your wrong assertion about him favoring a political party is right it doesn't in any way contradicts any Bible principle. So he remains the indefatigable President of CAN no amount of wishful blackmail would pull him down.

I know you read the reports regarding this issue with a biased mind Eagle Air is the company which Pastor Ayo Holds Residual interest in, it's Eagle air that entered into contractual agreement with Green Coast Produce a company that offers jet chatter services. Yes am sure the MOG Would be ready to provide relevant documents to back up his claim if people like you/Falana would take him to court.
Lastly Falana used the word "allegedly" registered for evangelism. He is definitely not sure of his claims. When questioned about the plane by who? The plane was bought for him to ease Evangelical work since then it became his sole property. if he decides to commercialize it he owes you(you know say your Osusu no join bye the plane) or nobody any explanation except may be his church members. I hope I have educated you.

I am amazed and disappointed with the way most people are reasoning over this issue. The problem is that our educated youths don't read anymore. And when they do, they don't understand.

Let me summarise the issues at stake:

What was published by Rapport was that they are in possession of documents issued by the Nigerian authorities. At no time did they state that they had recently come across these documents. In fact these were the same documents issued by our government when the funds were initially seized. The South African authorities had studied these documents and were still not satisfied. At no time did the SA government change its position. The topic is misleading and mischievous. The SA media did not confirm the legitimacy of the deal, they only stated that they were in possession of documents which showed that the transaction was approved by the office of the national security adviser. The SA govt have not come out to say that all is well.

The reasons for seizing the money were that SA laws had been broken. It doesn't matter if our government actually wanted to buy arms, the truth is that in trying to purchase those arms they broke SA currency laws. Again the company purported to be brokering the deal wasn't registered for arms transactions.

Has anyone tried to google Rapport's site on the matter?

Please try and understand postings before taking a position and do not take topics as facts. This is why our pass rates at WAEC and NECO are so poor. Students don't read and understand the questions.

Try not to be lazy and question issues further. wink

The South African media have published documents confirming the legitimacy of the $9.3million botched arms deals between Nigeria and the former apartheid enclave.
Reports by Rapport and City Press affirmed federal government’s official position that the transactions were legitimate.
The media houses said contrary to insinuations, end user certificates and a ‘shopping’ list accompanied the transactions as well as a note from Nigerian government authorizing the deals.

According to the reports, documents showed that the earlier consignment was approved by the Nigerian government  through the Office of National Security Adviser (ONSA), which is officially mandated to issue the end-user certificate for such transactions involving the nation’s security agencies.
An entire “shopping list” was also said to have been supplied with the certificate, which included everything from helicopters to unmanned aircraft, rockets and ammunition.

A top security source in the intelligence service disclosed that“In issuing end-user certificate, the ONSA ensures that it carries all relevant agencies and stakeholders along. Therefore, such a responsibility is not a unilateral development.
“For security reasons, the chains leading to the issuance of end-user certificate cannot be put in the public domain.
“The recent interest in arms purchase was informed by the challenges of insurgency which our nation had been grappling with in the last few years. This is why the understanding of all Nigerians is necessary.

“Nigeria is desperate to counter activities of terrorists no matter what it takes even when some of our friends are not being fair to us.
“The government appeals to the media and all Nigerians, especially the opposition, to consider the overall national interest on security issues. They should not read negative meaning to every good intention of government in tackling insecurity in the country”.
Continuing, the source said“The federal government and some top intelligence officers are concerned about how some officials of South Africa decided to frustrate the efforts of Nigeria at containing the activities of terrorists operating in the North-Eastern axis.”

DailyPost gathered that there are concerns that despite the leeway given to South African companies to thrive in Nigeria, there are still officials of the country who are determined to frustrate Nigeria, which in April this year overtook South Africa as Africa’s largest economy.
Government loyalists insist that the botched deal is being used by some prominent persons for political reasons.
They also accused“vested interests”of wishing the war against insurgency was not won.

On the latest story of seizure of over $5million by South Africa, those in security circles say it may just be a refreshment of the old story with a new angle.

Amateur writing, mediocre Journalism and use of unverifiable "Sources" at its finest.

If South Africa really exonerated Nigeria the case wouldn't be in court and the money still wouldn't be seized. At the very least the South African Govt would've issued an official statement. No matter what the Nigerian side says --- even if they claim the monies were returned--- if a statement from the South African Govt does not suffice, then do not believe a word!
