bros all over the world the media air things against prominent people. Whether AIT defamed of maligned Buhari is no justification for this clampdown. The media is very important in any democracy. Buhari won't have it easy if je he bent on taking the Tyrannic route.

Maybe you need to educate us your own understanding of the word clampdown because he never threaten to withdraw their license or ban their operation in the country but only suspend them from his activities pending the time the mgt of AIT will meet with his team to sort their differences. The main bone of contention is AIT's refusal to disclose the alleged sponsors of those hate documentaries for prosecution.

The management of AIT are not answerable to Buhari and they owe him no explanation. Buhari has NO right to suspend, intefere or intrude into the affairs of the media whether AIT or no AIT. His action is unfortunate, unconstitutional and can be likened to War Against Press Freedom. You Buharists supporting this show of Tyranny should hide your heads in shame.

NNPC SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FROM 1978 TO DATE

Following the successes of the recent elections in Nigeria and the beginning of transition of power from the Goodluck led administration to the incoming Buhari government the issue of corruption in public offices has been at the forefront of political discourse. As citizens and stakeholders in Nigeria we are advocates for justice that allow for the right decisions to be taken in governance which is the way forward for sustainable Nigeria.
We welcome any probe done in fairness and transparent in the eyes of Nigerians. That is if we must probe any office, then we must probe all and not go back to the era of selective probes. The impact of corruption in our country cannot be quantified and to eradicate corruption in the oil and other sectors past leaders and administrations should be investigated.

The NNPC since its creation had been a conduit for many administrations both past and present. We wish to remind Nigerians that there is need for the incoming government to look into 2011 forensic report carried out by KPMG which showed the NNPC had transparency issues, violation of regulations, illegal deductions of state funds and billions of naira missing. The auditor also discovered that from 2007 to 2009 funds were deducted in subsidy claims to the tune of 28.5 billion naira and not accounted for.

Willbros in May 2008 admitted to corrupt payments of about $6.3 million to NNPC officials and ABB Vetco Gray an American company also bribed the same. In addition to this, during the Obasanjo regime from 1999 to 2003 the country had no minister for petroleum. All these allegations of corruption especially the ones against that regime should be investigated.

Furthermore, investigating the allocations and issuing licenses for oil wells and marginal fields in the country by previous government since 1978 is important for if justice have to be served. Also, the $12.4billion Gulf Oil War windfall of 1991 during the IBB regime should be also looked.

Finally, justice for every Nigerian is an investigation of NNPC since 1978 to the Goodluck administration. The President-elect has shown his commitment to fighting corruption but he must remember not to pursue a vindictive agenda and carry the country forward.

Illiterate, stop using words carelessly

How can you refer to the restriction - as tyranny? His defense team made the call for a number of reasons- security concerns being one of them.

I have often advised you to go and sit for Jamb exam and get a University degree. Beneath the surface, you are totally empty.

Alright, if there is anyone that should bury his head in shame it is you because you are just hiding on this AIT issue to vent your frustration on GMB and his supporters. Even the management of the concerned TV station are yet to respond to the issue but in your desire to vent the anger of your candidate's downfall you are here trying to overblow the issue.

AIT/GEJ Lied To Nigerians

1. Fela NEVER mentioned Buhari in $N2.8B scandal. He mentioned OBJ. AIT edited that part off.

2. Buhari did not expel Ghanians from Nigeria. Shagari of the NPN did. AIT made a FALSE assertion.

3. Gloria Okon did not disappear under Buhari it was under IBB and Dele Giwa was murdered for it.

4. GEJ went so low to bring Buhari’s daughters into politics. Can one use Dame’s inability to bear a child as a campaign issue?

5. Fela’s mother the GREAT Funmilayo Kuti died after OBJ Kalakuta in 1978 Buhari came into power in 1984.

The AIT documentary on Buhari will not make him less popular. President Jonathan is still playing catch up...

By posting this; this barca nonsense you are a fool, consider what AIT did to GMB just b/cos they were giving money by Jonathan, if I were in GMB shoes I will use NBC to close the station and its sister companies down to serve as deterrant to others that may like to engage in such unruly behaviour in future. They left their professional conduct to engage in character assasination. fooools.
Stop acting like a scallywag, even if u are. Aljazeerah, Sahara Reporters, Vanguard and others are known for spreading defamatory news about GEJ and his government. But answer this, how many times did he retort, not to mention, place a ban on any of these media houses? Even when they disgrace his wife. None! Now that's democracy! Before the election, Buhari lashed back at people talking ills about him. Today he's banning AIT. Where does that happen in the world of democracy

And it is very simple "it is unconstitutional, undemocratic, anti-journalistic and unacceptable for a public officer like Buhari to have even made that order". FYI Buhari is a public figure. The title of President-elect is not a Chieftaincy title. He is expected to live a noble life as expected of a President-in-waiting. He is expected to respect every item in the constitution. In fact, we are not "begging" him to be law-abiding, he has no choice but to conduct himself as expected. Otherwise, he will have Nigerians to contend with.

Buhari is not yet the president so he has a little control over those that come near him. From May 29th, if he tries it I will then realize that the only change we should expect is GEJ to GMB. Nothing more.
