BuddahMonk:hear this illiterate shouting about regional government when his foolish brother ironsi was the ediot that destroyed regional government to form a Unitarian government just to suit his greedy ambition. I think nairaland is constituted by illiterates like this fool who doesn't know zinc but the only thing they know is nothing. kastonkastrol: Thanks for educating him about how an Igbo man, in the person of Ironsi, dismantled the whole regional gov't apparatus, upon assuming power as the beneficiary of a coup largely led by Igbo officers of the Nigerian army. Some of these folks think the rest of us are stupid. 24 Likes |

BuddahMonk: The dude displayed the well known typical yoruba behavior. It's understandable ZIK was fully against Ojukwu ' s decision afterall, since day 1 of Migeria ' independence Zik kept deluding himself in one nigeria amd maintaining an "African unity". He imitated your typical enlightened black americans who believed the unity of Africa will increase the development of africa, just like the unity of europeans developed Europe. The problem with Zik was getting educated, being around foreigners made him forget his continent to the T. It made him forget how much hatred the typical tribes have for eachother and the constant pull down syndrome of your typical black man. In Africa you have to look out for your own and your own alone. Therefore, I blame Zik for the hell igbo are in. He put us in this hellhole of a nation and with this backwards, tribalistic nation all because of his delusion of "one Africa". With that being said, at least for Zik going against ojukwu ' s decision was understandable but awo, who since the creation of Nigeria always maintained the country was never one, can never be one and should have never been one chickened in out when the opportunity to actualize his belief came into picture. Infact, the guy did a complete 360 and even suggested how to stop Biafra from fighting back after their weak military couldn't defeat a military with less training, less weapon and less assistance for 3 good Ole years. He's more proof of what known of his people. Anyway, who cares about him.he was jailed by the same ppl he licked the @ss of. So depressed he committed suicide by taking rat poison and his burial was barely acknowledge by the same country and the same soldiers he adviced. Funny enough, the man they deemed a "rebel" got better burial and better recognition by world leaders and that same f2king military that forgot against than this Awo guy. Ain't that something? I bet you he's in hell now cursing out Nigeria as we speak. Maybe him and Hilter are enjoying the same torture chamber..afterall, they both have the same mindset. Mtchewwww 42 Likes 8 Shares |

From my vintage point here thousands of miles away from my beloved Nigeria, it's a shame to see our young people with venom and tribal bigotry of this kind. God help Nigeria. All this is unnecessary because the civil war ended 45 years ago . Nigerians should band together for the betterment of Nigeria. Many countries of the world have their differences and they still work together for the good of their respective nations. How come Nigeria is different ?. Enough of this tribal bashing please. It's appalling. 8 Likes 1 Share |

It bewilders me how all igbo people have not given Ojukwu the designation he deserves. He was a rich boy that joined the army and was propped up through influence, he was never a military tactician , he then decided to gamble the lives of 3 million people on flimsy excuses. it is not Gowon's fault Ojukwu came poorly prepared for the Aburi accord and got a shit deal. Awolowo would always be greater than ZIk and any other person the Igbo can put up, You can go up to anyone above 50 years old and ask them what awo's legacy is and they'll tell you, It was Awo's free education policy that enabled the upward mobility of many children born into relative poverty , they have become the doctors, lawyers, accountants and doctors and governors you see today in SW, Middle belt and many Igbo ,SS and Bendel indigenes benefited too. What did Ojukwu ever give the Igbo except for FALSE HOPE AND DEATH , he was not even courageous enough to stand till the last bullet is shot, he ran away dressed as a woman. If Awo did poison himself he has shown himself to be true yoruba man after the adage "death is more pleasant, than an underserved public shaming" 21 Likes 2 Shares |
