Weilding guns tonight after thier members were massacred is really a no brainer. But were they weilding guns before the attack? I'm not defending them in anyway, but if extrajudicial killings are not nipped in the bud, it would create a major humanitarian crisis. I believe the army was on a mission. If they felt that the trek would pose a security threat, then they should have written them and asked them not to embark on it. If they refuse, then you can make arrests.

you are right on that.. arrests could be made.. but no one knew if they actually wielded gun during the initial attack on them. compromised media outlet is another big problem we have to solve. No one knows the true story. both parties might have acted based on information.. this isn't their first clash and this may not be the last.. but the questions here are 'are we on the brink of creating another boko haram?' 'did our army deal with the situation professionally?

At noon today, armed soldiers were seen in the precincts of Hussainiyyah Baqiyyatullah, Zaria, where members of the Islamic Movement were to carry out the hoisting of flag to usher in the new month of Maulud, the birth of the Holy Prophet of Islam.
Similar occasion was previously carried out on the same spot with free traffic flow under the supervision of the Movement’s traffic warders.
When some brothers met the soldiers to understand their mission of the soldiers was, they took position and opened fire indiscriminately, killed many and took away seven the casualty to an unknown location.

Based on the foregoing, we believe that the military had pre-planned this and had acted according to their mischievous script. They came with their cameramen, videotaping the whole incidence while it lasted.
We are however surprised that, spokesman of the military Colonel Kuka Sheka Shamelessly came out in the media and issued a press statement to say, that it was an assassination attempt on the Chief of Army Staff on the order of the Movement’s leader.
Why was it that there were no casualty on the side of the military, if it were to be an assassination attempt by Kuka Sheka?
What happened was never a clash, but a continuation of act of terrorism by the Nigerian military on the Movement, as was the case in the past. We are not surprised by this action, a s there were reports spread by the same military the night before that the Shi’ites were to avenge their dead by hired thugs on Friday in Gabari, a village in Zaria. Thesame military also spread rumour that, the Shi’ites had killed soldiers, all in attempt to justify today’s dastardly act.

Kuka Sheka should know that, once bitten twice shy. The 2014 massacre of 34 members of the Islamic Movement, including 3 of Sheikh Zakzaky’s children by the military; the attempt on Sheikh Zakzaky’s convoy by the same military are still on our minds.
No governments can flourish successfully with disoriented military, full of trigger-itchy personnel and security operatives trained by CIA and Mossad.

Until the present government fish out this cabal in the military and bring the culprits to book, we will made to believe the government is condoning, violence and terrorism on innocent citizens.

Its a known fact in zaria that these people do carry gun and weapon, just like their counterpart in okene kogi state, dey do brandish gun in broad day light during friday prayer around the mosque, its a truth you might not be able to swallow, islam knows nothing about peace

I believe there is freedom of religion and religious gathering in as much as it doesn't threat the security of the pple and the country.
They can celebrate whatever they like,whoever they like in their own way and wherever they like,in as much as it doesn't threat the peace of the people and the country.

Funny but no sign of guns or other arms displayed on the dead people

All I know is that if this assault were to be carried out under GEJ administration some people in power today would have termed it an attack on the north so right now I have nothing to comment other than to wish them well in their operation after all its same of same they know themselves. They know the bad and the good Islamic movement.

This caused delay in our journey because we were left to manage a single lane why they blocked the other lane for themselves. On my way coming back again to Kano after 3 days I still met them this time matching with dangerous weapons like swords of different types. They looked scary in their all black attire. I heard rumours that they do exchange their women to fucking even in their camps, Guys will really like awuff of such. If their activities are not properly checked they may be another tym bomb for Nigeria.

I saw them too during their long trek and I said in another thread they are so so scary. But the army should really be careful with these people because I heard they might be worse than we already know.

The army is complaining about being over stretched in this insugency war in the north east yet they want to start another one in zAria. Na whom Wan help them fight the war if the thing start? Our security agencies should use their intelligence more often than their muscles.
