Fruitful mamas, yesterday was my first wedding anniversary. At first I wanted to ignore it but decided against it believing that my second anniversary will be with my bundles of joy. I pray for triplets. I just wanna be done with ttc.

I got preggy for the first time ever after I decided to celebrate God's faithfulness for keeping me alive all through the rigours of tcc during our 7th year anniversary. I danced and worshiped God even though in tears.

The next month, I was dumbfounded !!!! Rejoice sis, all will be well

I was also informed that they just got married o, I open mouth, to close became wahala, no IVF!!!!, ....... but if you think about all these things, you will make yourself unhappy. I used to brood over pregnant women then o. I will just be looking at small small girls with belle, everywhere pregnancy, Oluwa ooooooo, my mind was always like how did this people get belle, they carry two heads?

But our journeys are different babe. Encourage yourself in the Lord. All will be well. I know that feeling o

Joyful mum, your husband needs to be assessed, all you need do is go to the hospital for proper diagnoses. I know of a friends hubby who had this kind of issue, and they have i think 3 children today

#Synopsis
What is Ovulation?

This is the natural process of releasing a mature egg from the ovary. The released egg is, pushed down the fallopian tube, and proceeds to the site where if met by a sperm, fertilization and pregnancy will occur. Normally the lining of the womb has thickened in preparation for fertilization however, if fertilization doesn’t occur, breakdown of the released egg and the womb lining will follow during menstruation. Approximately every month one egg will mature within one of your ovaries and released.

Key Points to Note

1. An egg lives 12-24 hours after leaving the ovary. Ovulation is a 24-hour event (one day).

2. Naturally only one egg will be released during the time of ovulation

3. Some women may experience some light blood or spotting during ovulation

4. Ovulation is a sensitive process and can be affected by stress and illness

5. Implantation (placing of the fertilized egg in the womb) normally takes place 6-12 days after ovulation

6. Normally, each woman is born with millions of immature eggs that are awaiting ovulation to begin

7. A menstrual period can occur even if ovulation has not occurred

8. Some women experience pain / aching near ovaries during ovulation called ‘middle pain’

Tracking Ovulation

1. Most women have a predictable 28-day regular cycle

2. On average, a woman’s cycle normally is between 28-32 days, but some women may have much shorter or much longer cycles

3. With a 28 day, regular cycle, the predictable ovulation will be the 14th day counting from the first day of the menstrual period.

4. For some women, they might have different cycles like, 27, 26, 25, 30, even 35-day cycle.

5. To calculate the expected ovulation, use the number 14 as a constant. For example, with a cycle of 30 days, 30 minus, 14, will yield, 16. So the expected ovulation, will be on the 16th day from the first day of the period.

6. With a cycle of 26 days, minus 14 from 26, and you will have 12. Etc.

8. Most women ovulate anywhere between Day 11 – Day 21 of their cycle, counting from the first day of the LMP. This is strictly dependent on your cycle.

The So Called Fertile Window

This is the time interval during which the woman has the greatest chance of becoming pregnant. This is because sexual intercourse during this time increases the chance of pregnancy. Ovulation is used as the marker for fertile window. Remember that, ovulation can occur at various times during a cycle and may occur on a different day each month.

In order to achieve pregnancy, it is important to track your cycle and know your ovulation and fertility window. Fortunately, there are a number of free fertility charting tools available to help women identify their peak fertile days.

Important Points to note

1. 5 days before the ovulation is the starting point of the fertility window. This is because, the sperm, when released inside the vagina, can survive and be viable for 5 days. So, sexual intercourse 5 days to the ovulation can lead to pregnancy.

2. Ovulation day: This is the most fertile day in the window, sex on the day of ovulation will lead to pregnancy if every other fertility factor is normal. The released egg is only viable for 24 hours.

3. A day after Ovulation: The last day of the fertile window is the day after the ovulation. Sexual intercourse on this day can lead to pregnancy

Fertility can be tricky. Some women are hyper fertile, while some do go through the eye of the needle to achieve pregnancy. However, it is very important to be empowered and knowledgeable about your cycle and fertile window.

Make sure your partner is part of the journey towards parenthood. Make sure you consult your doctor and if you are referred to a fertility specialist, PLEASE endeavor to go. Fertility issues require diligent compliance to ALL the instructions and treatment from your doctor.

Pregnancy can occur when you least expected it. Some women can become pregnant at odd times including during menstruation. You may become pregnant even on your so called non-fertile period. Your cycle can change, especially after birth.

This was my initial question I asked and i am still asking the same question today.

Any suggestions on a decent hospital (near ajah axis preferably) or even on Lagos mainland where I can meet with a good gynaecologist. I nor get money for lekki doctors oh or people when go use test finish person. Just a good, honest gynaecologist. I need to monitoring vby a good gynaecologist now. Thanks everyone. My friend has not had a period since last year October, she kpekused in February with the thought that "notin dey happen". she was feeling funny early this month and went to the hospital, tests revealed that she was in her pregnant( still in the first trimester).


God is still on the throne and He will answer us, regardless of all medical conditions that doctors or google has told us. He is the ultimate healer, Oba Ara, Onise Iyanu, everly doing great things. I tap into her testimony and declare that God'll make us all come to testify before the end of this year.
