Pls I want to ask if any woman has gone for fibriod surgery and concieve, how long did it take and would you advise a woman to go for surgery if the doctors says that is the cause of her infertility ?

@AppleofGod if the doctors say you have to do the surgery, then I think you should. If the fibroids position wasnt hindering conception, they wouldn't ask you to do it.
Although its best to get a second or third opinion before proceeding.

From personal experience, fibroids can indeed cause infertility. I had fibroids inside my uterus and all the doctors I saw said the same thing, surgery. I did hsg just before my surgery and it showed my fallopian tubes were blocked but another hsg done 6months after d surgery shows my tubes were unblocked.

Some doctors advice to wait 3-6 months after surgery before ttc but a colleague got pregnant 5 months after her surgery.

@Deezou thanks. I was skeptical about taking clomid cos I just had fibroids removed. But he ok'ed me to take fertilaid cos they are just supplements.
I was hoping to get a BFP but AF showed up today...I asked out of frustration.

@AppleofGod my sister did fibroid operation and she conceive after 1yr/3mnths. Once it is removed u ll conceive. The doctor ll tell u 2 wait 4 like 6mnths. Though some women conceive after 3mnths. It depend on our body. relax ur mind.

I don't know if anyone recalled me saying I was scheduled for HSG about 2 weeks ago, the results showed that both Fallopian tubes were not opacified as the dye dint even go through. My gynea adviced I take out the submucous fibroid because he strongly felt that's what had blocked the 2 tubes.

I just want to use this medium in thanking God for a successful surgery on Friday and I'm recovering fast by His grace. They removed a 6cm fibroid from inside my womb and did a dye test during the surgery and both my tubes are open. All glory be to my father in heaven.

@AppleofGod I know it's a very tough decision but get opinions from other fertility doctors and if they all think it's the cause of your delay I'd encourage you to prayerfully remove it. I was told to remove it last year December but because I was scared see how much time I wasted....

HNM evryone!!!!!!. pls. oooooo fruitful mamas in d awuz abeg mak una help me interprete this my TVS scan result. *USS shows normal sized uterus with AP diameter of 4.2cm, uterine outline is regular. myometrial texture appear normal, endometrial thickness is normal. both ovaries appear normal in size right 2.6x2.0cm, left 2.6cmx1.0cm. both adnexa appear free. there is fluid collection in the pouch with a depth 1.2cm. no fibroid, no cysts, no cyesis or retained product sighted*. am on cd37 now nd AF hs nt shown up,ve neva been dis late. what could be wrong?

Sweetie don't use clomid if you have had fibroids becos it also causes fibroids to grow after a while. Also clomid must be used under medical surveillance of doctor scanning you almost every 2 days during your ovulation week becos it is meant to help increase the size and number of your eggs and aid ovulation. Most times cloud makes ovulation start late that's what a doctor told me. From my experience cloud never did anything good for me. Some people have had success stories with it. But I can remember clearly on this blog before the tsunami how we were advised against taking it.

But if you still insist on it research natural ways to achieve the effect of clomid using vegetables and food. Did you know yams is a stimulant like clomid? There is a thread on nairaland called 30 days weight loss diet and also alternative TTC. Try to go through them and get some good information. Then apply it. My dear trust in GOD and he will surely come through for you. Have a blessed day.

pls Apple of God, our bodies differ but please be careful with clomid, as has been rightly told, dont take clomid without doctor monitoring with scans. Clomid did me much harm same with my younger sister. I advise you use the alternative as in herbs without side effect. lets not take drugs without knowing the side effect so we dont end up with more harm than good.

@All please if your doctor has told you you have fibroids please don't take clomid cos it makes fibroids grow... Try taking natural supplements to help with your hormones cos they really do help, I know a friend who hadn't finished her bottle of fertilaid and got pregnant after 2years of ttc. Clomid on the other hand messed my cycles up, made me temperamental, dried up my cm, made me have long cycles, and yet no bfp. It even thins out the uterine lining after prolonged use. Id suggest trying things less complex on your system before going on to clomid n then with monitoring from ur gynea. Sending baby dust to everyone.

For the ewedu therapy:
Rinse N50 worth of it or more. Blend (that's the fastest way I get it done, instead of slicing). Boil for 5mins Max. No potash. No oil. Add only fish or crayfish. Take from af to o.

Take 50mg Vit. B6 for 1 month or 3months(if your prolactin levels are over the range). Take b6 only after O. stop at af . Continue if bfp.

Note: Ewedu lowers prolactin and gives quality ewcm. Vit. b6 is simply progesterone.
