In this he plainly shows either his inability to maintain any deeper thinking, or else his superficiality; for otherwise with the succeeding words there should again immediately arise a different feeling, corresponding to the changed content of the words, as soon as these really come to life in him.
Thus there persists in him only what the first words awaken. But if he were to grasp the right sense and the true meaning of the words, then these would have to release in him a quite different intuitive sensing from that of being comfortably safe.
More arrogant people again see in the word "Father" the confirmation that they are directly descended from God, and that thereby with the right development they will ultimately themselves become Divine; but that even now they definitely bear something of the Divine within them. And so there are many more errors among men with regard to this sentence.
Most people, however, consider it simply as the form of address in the Prayer, the invocation! This requires them to think least. And accordingly it is also uttered without thought, despite the fact that just in the invocation to God should lie the whole fervour of which a man's soul can ever become capable.
But this first sentence is not meant either to say or to be any of this; instead the Son of God at the same time put into the choice of words the explanation or indication of the way in which a human soul is to set about prayer, how it may and must step before its God if its prayer is to find a hearing. He says exactly what quality it must possess at that moment, how its condition of pure intuitive perception has to be, if it would lay its petition at the Steps of God's Throne.
Thus the whole Prayer is divided into three parts. The first part is the complete dedication, the surrendering of the soul to its God. Figuratively speaking, it bares itself before Him ere it comes with a request, testifying first to its own pure volition.
Re: The Holy Grail? (Grail Message) by Hndholder(m): 2:04pm On Aug 17, 2007
The Son of God wishes to explain thereby what kind of intuitive perception alone may form the basis for an approach to God! Therefore come, like a great, sacred vow, the words at the beginning: "OUR FATHER, WHO ART IN HEAVEN!"
Consider that prayer is not the same as petition! Otherwise there would certainly be no prayer of thanksgiving, which contains no petition. To pray is not to beg. Even in this respect the "Lord's Prayer" has so far always been misunderstood, because of man's evil habit of never approaching God without at the same time expecting or even demanding something from Him; for in the expecting lies the demanding. And actually man always expects something when he prays; this he cannot deny! Be it even, broadly speaking, only the vague feeling of one day receiving a place in Heaven.
Jubilant thanksgiving in happy enjoyment of the conscious existence granted to him in the co-operation willed by God, or justly expected by God, in the great Creation, for the welfare of his surroundings, is not known to man! Indeed, he does not even suspect that just this, and only this, holds his own real welfare and his progress, his ascent.
But on such a basis, willed by God, does the "Lord's Prayer" in truth stand! The Son of God, Who desired only man's welfare, which lies solely in the right observance and fulfilment of God's Will, could not possibly have given it in any other way!
The Prayer given by Him is thus anything but a prayer of petition; rather is it a great, all-embracing vow of man, who in it lays himself at the Feet of his God! Jesus gave it to His disciples, who at that time were ready to live in the pure worship of God, to serve God through their life in Creation, and in this serving to honour His Holy Will!
Man should consider well and carefully whether he may dare to make use of and utter this Prayer at all, and should examine himself earnestly as to whether, in using it, he is not perhaps trying to lie to his God!
The introductory sentences admonish plainly enough that each one should examine himself as to whether he really is as he speaks in it! Whether he dares to go with it before God's Throne without guile!
But if you experience the first three sentences of the Prayer within you, then they will lead you before the Steps of God's Throne. They are the way to It, if they come to experiencing in a soul! No other leads thither. But this one for certain! Where these sentences are not experienced, however, none of your petitions can reach there.
It shall be a devout yet joyful outcry when you dare to say: "Our Father, Who art in Heaven!"
Re: The Holy Grail? (Grail Message) by Hndholder(m): 2:05pm On Aug 17, 2007
In this cry lies your sincere affirmation: "To Thee, 0 God, I give all a father's rights over me, to which I wish to submit humbly like a child! In doing so I also acknowledge Thine Omniscience, 0 God, in all that Thou hast ordained, and beg Thee to treat me as a father has to treat his children! Here I am, Lord, to listen to Thee, and to obey Thee like a child!"
The second sentence: "HALLOWED BE THY NAME!"
This is the assurance of the worshipping soul as to how serious it is in everything it ventures to say to God. That it is with its whole intuitive perception with every word and thought, and does not misuse the Name of God through superficiality! Because it regards the Name of God as much too holy for that!
Consider, you who pray, what you are vowing with this! If you want to be absolutely honest with yourselves, you must confess that hitherto it is just with this that you men have lied in the Face of God; for you never were so earnest in prayer as the Son of God, in expectation, laid down in these words as a condition!
The third sentence: "THY KINGDOM COME!" is again no petition, but only a further vow! A declaring oneself prepared so that through the human soul life on earth shall become such as it is in the Kingdom of God!
Hence the word: "Thy Kingdom come!" This means: we wish also to develop so far here on earth that Thy perfect Kingdom may extend all the way to here! The soil shall be prepared by us so that everything lives only in Thy Holy Will, thus completely fulfilling Thy Laws of Creation, so that it will be such as is done in Thy Kingdom, the Spiritual Realm, where dwell the matured spirits who have become free from all guilt and burdens, who live only in service to the Will of God, because only in Its absolute fulfilment does good arise, through the Perfection inherent in It. Thus it is the assurance of wishing to become such that through the soul of man the earth also shall become a kingdom of fulfilment of God's Will!
This affirmation is further strengthened through the next sentence: "THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN!"
This is not only the declaration of willingness to adapt entirely to the Divine Will, but also the inherent promise to trouble oneself about this Will, to strive with all one's zeal for the recognition of this Will. Indeed this striving must precede the adaptation to this Will; for as long as man does not know It aright he is not able to adjust himself to It either in his intuitive perception, his thoughts, words and deeds!
What appalling, punishable carelessness is it then for every human being ever and ever again to give these assurances to his God, while in reality he does not trouble himself at all about the nature of the Will of God, Which lies firmly anchored in Creation. Man simply lies with every word of the Prayer when he dares to utter it! He thereby stands before God as a hypocrite! Heaps onto old sins ever again new ones, and finally even feels he is to be pitied when he must break down ethereally under this burden in the beyond.
Only when these sentences are really fulfilled by a soul as a pre-condition can it then go on to say: "GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD!"
That is as much as to say: "When I have fulfilled what I promised to be, then let Thy Blessing rest upon my earthly work, so that in attending to my gross material needs I may always have the time to be able to live according to Thy Will!"
"AND FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THEM THAT TRESPASS AGAINST US!"
In this lies knowledge of the incorruptible, just reciprocal action of spiritual Laws that give the Will of God. At the same time also the expression of the assurance of full confidence in It; for the plea for forgiveness, thus release from guilt, is based conditionally on the previous fulfilment by the human soul of its own forgiveness of all the wrongs done to it by its fellowmen.
He who is capable of that, however, who has already forgiven his fellow-men everything, is also so inwardly purified that he himself will never intentionally do wrong! Therewith he is also free of all guilt before God, for there only all that is considered a wrong which is done intentionally from evil volition. It is only that which makes it a wrong. This is very different from all human laws and earthly opinions existing at the present time.
Re: The Holy Grail? (Grail Message) by Hndholder(m): 2:07pm On Aug 17, 2007
Hence the basis also of this sentence is again a promise before its God by every soul striving for the Light. A declaration of its true volition, for whose fulfilment it hopes to receive strength in the Prayer, through deep absorption and becoming clear about itself; with the right attitude this strength will also come to it in accordance with the Law of Reciprocal Action.
"AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION!"
It is a wrong conception when man wants to read into the words that he would be tempted through God. God tempts no one! In this case it is only a question of a doubtful tradition, which unfortunately chose this word temptation. In its right meaning it is to be classed with such concepts as going astray, becoming lost, thus going wrong, seeking wrongly on the path towards the Light.
It means much the same as: "Let us not take wrong paths, nor seek in the wrong way, let us not take risks with time! Waste it, fritter it away! But if necessary restrain us forcibly from doing so, even if such a necessity must strike us as suffering and pain."
Man should even gather this meaning already through the following part-sentence, which according to its wording indeed directly belongs to it: "BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL!
The "but" shows clearly enough that they belong together. The meaning is synonymous with: "Let us recognise evil at all costs, even at the cost of suffering! Enable us to do so through Thy reciprocal actions whenever we err." In the recognising also lies the redeeming for those of goodwill!
With this ends the second part, the discourse with God. The third part forms the ending: "FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY, FOR EVER AND EVER! AMEN!"
As a jubilant avowal of feeling safe in the Omnipotence of God with the fulfilment of all that the soul lays at His Feet as a vow in the Prayer! -
This Prayer given by the Son of God thus has two parts. The introduction of approach, and the discourse. Through Luther there was finally added the jubilant avowal of the knowledge of the help for all that is contained in the discourse; of the receiving of strength to fulfil what the soul vowed to its God. And the fulfilment must then bear the soul upwards into the Kingdom of God, the Land of Eternal Joy and of Light!
Therewith the Lord's Prayer, if it is really experienced, will become the support and the staff for ascent into the Spiritual Realm!
Man must not forget that in a prayer he actually only has to obtain the strength to enable him to bring into being himself what he asks for! So shall he pray! And so too is worded the Prayer which the Son of God gave to the disciples!

THE LAWS GOVERNING CREATION AND REINCARNATION
The Divine Laws are true friends in everything, they are helpful
blessings from the Will of God, Who this opens the paths to
salvation for everyone who strives towards it. There is not a single
other road to this than the one clearly shown by the Laws of God in Creation!
The whole of Creation. is the Language of God,
which you should earnestly strive to read,
and which is by no means as difficult as you may think.

Re: The Holy Grail? (Grail Message) by Hndholder(m): 2:10pm On Aug 17, 2007
Creation is maintained through God's Laws
The basis for understanding reincarnation, and indeed all life and existence, is the knowledge of the Divine Laws of Creation, which are manifestations of the Will of God. The Divine Laws may also be called the Laws of Life and they incorporate the Laws of Nature. The Ten Commandments are, of course, in full accord with these laws. The Laws of Creation have always existed and will always exist; hence they are called Eternal Laws. They do not change, cannot be subverted or circumvented by the rich, the powerful, or the clever. They apply equally to all, regardless of circumstances or beliefs. And they operate not only on earth but also in the beyond and, indeed, throughout Creation. The effects of these Laws are the same on those who know them as on those who are ignorant of them. Ignorance is no excuse!
For a deeper appreciation of the nature of these Laws, let us contrast them with the laws that men make. Secular laws, or the laws of man vary from society to society. The Laws of Creation are the same everywhere. Secular laws may be changed at will; what was perfectly legal yesterday may become a criminal act today, and vice versa. The Laws that are the manifestations of the Will of the Almighty are immutable; they have always been and will ever remain the same.
Re: The Holy Grail? (Grail Message) by Hndholder(m): 2:11pm On Aug 17, 2007
Human laws are difficult to understand. Therefore, we often depend, for their interpretation, on lawyers who have devoted years of study to secular laws. And even lawyers do not always agree on the interpretation of a given law. In contrast, the Eternal Laws are simple, clear, and easy to understand. No schooling, in the ordinary sense of the word, is required. In fact, they are hinted at in the proverbs of all cultures. Moreover, human laws do not always promote justice. Indeed, quite often they arc exploited by lawyers to set free people who have actually committed crimes. In contrast, the Laws of Creation ensure that, at all times, Justice, Love, and Purity are simultaneously upheld.
Unlike the large number of laws men make for themselves, the Eternal Laws, the Laws of Creation are rather few. For our purpose, they may be discussed as three interrelated and complementary Laws.
The Law of Sowing and Reaping
One of these Laws is the Law of Sowing and Reaping -popularly expressed as whatever we sow, we are obliged to reap. This Law is described by various other expressions such as: the Law of Karma; the Law of Seed and Harvest; the Law of Cause and Effect; the Law of Reciprocal Action; and the Law of Retributive Justice. It is a Law that must be familiar to all Christians, for it is indicated in a number of Bible passages including the following:
As I have seen, those who plough iniquity, and sow trouble, reap the same. (Job4:cool.
For they sow the winshall reap thed, and they whirlwind. (Flosea 8:7).
For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit. (Luke 6:43).
Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. (Galatians 6:7).
We know that if we sow maize, we can only reap maize, and if we want to harvest wheat, we must sow wheat. This Law ensures the maintenance of order and perfect justice in Creation. Imagine what confusion and bewilderment would result if we could not be certain what the harvest would be whenever we planted any seed; if at one time, a planting of maize gave us wheat, at another time the same planting gave us mango etc. Because of this Law, we know what harvest' to expect with each planting, and what we must plant if we desire a particular harvest. Every effect has a cause; and every cause must result in an effect.
It is important for us to note that this Law is no respecter of religions. Indeed, this is true for all the Laws of Creation as well as the Ten Commandments. If a Christian sows maize, he will reap maize; so also will a Jew, a Moslem, a Buddhist, or a pagan. If a pagan sows goodness, he is bound to reap goodness; so will a Bishop, a Hindu monk, or a Moslem Imam. Indeed, the Creator in His perfect Justice, cannot be expected to discriminate on any basis in the operation of His Laws. This viewpoint has ample support in the Bible. Peter, the Disciple, once declared:
"Truly I perceive that God shows no partiality, but in every nation any one who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him." (Acts 10: 34 - 35, italics mine)
The Apostle Paul made a similar point in several of his letters (see, for example, Romans 2: 9-11; Ephesians 6: 5-9; Colossians 3:25).
This fact should lead us to the realization that religions are only a means to an end, and not ends in themselves. If our religion helps us to understand thoroughly the Will of the Almighty and shows us how to do this Will, then it has played its part. But we would be wrong to imagine that membership of any religion or sect would guarantee salvation. In this regard, we recall what the Lord Jesus
Re: The Holy Grail? (Grail Message) by Hndholder(m): 2:14pm On Aug 17, 2007
Christ said:
Not every one who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the Will of My Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 7:21)
Let us learn a bit more about this Law, which holds the key to so many unsolved problems. Christians will, of course, understand that "sowing" is not limited to its ordinary agricultural sense. We "sow" through our thoughts, our words, our volitions, as well as our actions. This implies that we all are constantly sowing, be it only in our thinking and in our general attitude to life. If our thoughts are always good, we reap harvests of blessings; if they are evil, then we heap evils on ourselves. As we shift gear between good and evil, so do the harvests change.
We know that quite often men's actions are different from their thinking and their volition. A man may be smiling at you and saying nice words to you while planning to harm you; his volition is in conflict with his words and actions. A man makes a donation to the church even though he does not share the ideals and the objectives of the church. He simply wants the publicity or seeks favour from members of the church. In all such cases, the Law of Sowing and Reaping ensures that the harvests are weighed carefully to reflect not only the actions but also the related thoughts and volitions.
Most human beings cannot read other people's thoughts nor fathom their real volitions. And so, they cannot be good judges in the sense of the Eternal Laws. Hence we must heed the following admonition:
"Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get." (Matthew 7:1- 2)
This is not only another statement of the Law of Sowing and Reaping, but it also touches on the fact that we lack the ability to judge aright. For even when we observe the action and hear the words, we may not know the motives.
Another aspect of the Law of Sowing and Reaping, which we must note, is that one planted seed yields, at harvest, many seeds. The harvest is of the same kind (quality or species) as what was sown but its quantity is much greater. Thus our actions, good or bad, return to us multiplied. The increase is the result of another Law - the Law of Attraction of Similar Species or the Law of Like Attracts Like, which is discussed later in this chapter.
Moreover, we should note that the period between sowing and reaping depends on what is sown. Some grain crops are ready for harvests four months after planting, whereas some tree crops do not Yield an- harvests until after many years. Indeed, we plant some trees knowing full well that they will not be ready for harvesting in our ,lifetime. Even for the same crop, the period required for maturity may vary according to variety. For example, traditional varieties of cowpeas, also called beans, a food legume that is highly relished in West Africa, northeast Brazil, and southern United States, mature in about 100 days. Modern varieties of the same crop are ready for harvesting in about 60 days after planting.
Such differences in the periods to maturity also apply to the actions, thoughts, words, prayers, and volitions of :men. Thus, we can understand why a person doing evil now, will reap the consequences only in the future, near or distant. Similarly, the good fruits of the good man who may now be suffering, will surely come. Furthermore, the good that may currently be falling on the laps of a bad man must be the good he did in the past. And the bad ;experiences of the person who is presently striving to do good are the consequences of some wrong done in the past, which are only now ready for harvesting.
The perfect Justice of the Almighty does not permit any arbitrariness. Everybody reaps only what he or she has personally sown and nobody reaps what he or she has not sown.
There appear to be injustices in some cases only because of our own ignorance. A key aspect of this ignorance is our lack of the knowledge of, or deliberate but unfortunate rejection of, reincarnation. The truth is that some fruits we now reap, whether they are good or bad, were planted in some distant past, in previous .earth-lives. On the other hand, some "seeds" we are now sowing may not be ready for harvest until a distant future, in the beyond or in another earth-life. "Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man soweth that shall he also reap." The Creator grants us the free will to decide what we may or may not sow. But once we have done the sowing, we are obliged irrevocably to "eat the harvest". It does not matter who we are.
Many persons who have some knowledge of the Law of Sowing and Reaping readily, and without any difficulty, associate it with Divine Justice. But relatively few realize that in this Law also lies Divine Love. Consider a man who sows a good seed. The Law guarantees that at harvest he receives fruits of the same kind, and this can be perceived as Justice. However, the effect of the Law is not only on quality or kind, but also on quantity. He who sows, for example, one seed of maize, may reap two cobs of maize containing hundreds of seeds. Is it not Love, when for one good seed, the Divine Will ensures a return of many good seeds?

thank you so much for the word of God which you have clearly demonstrated in your replies. indeed i might not have made any particular sense of what the Grail message adherent were saying if i HAD NOT READ YOU REPLY FIRST. ie i read their stuff then read their reply then read yours again . thank you for sticking to the word of God. A s far as I am concerned. NOBODY should add to the word of God or take anything away from it. I may not know every line of the Bible from Genesis to revelation but I KNOW THAT THE WORD OF GOD BEARS ME WITNESS. no matter the message anyone comes with, no matter the big words that go with it, no matter how much sense they try to make out of it, THE HOLY SPIRIT ALWAYS PLACES A CONVICTION IN ONE'S HEART. Please be not deceived, only those who are not firm in christ and firm in the HOLY BIBLE WHICH IS BREATHED OF THE LORD that will allow themselves to be swayed by doctrines. i may not know all my lines but once you get born again, youare a new creature and the nature of GOD COMES TO DWELL IN YOU. Light and darkness cannot reside together. the devil comes under different cloaks, twisting the word of God to his own advantage. if he tested JESUS who can he not test? Indeed i really now realise that we wrestle not against flesh and blood. Nowadays, dreams of rapture keep coming to me and I AM ALMOST POSITIVE IT WILL HAPPEN IN OUR TIME. this is not the time to sway in ones faith. i have to go and " recharge my battery" all things really work for good to him that loves God. at least, these replies have sent me back to my bible. I remain steadast in JESUS and the word of God as enunciated in the HOLY BIBLE nd any other GOD EDIFYING LITERATURE. Let me say thank you to all grail messengers. Even if I do not know my right and my left (which is impossible when one is in Christ), my faith is unshifting. i am not trying to convince anybody of my belief in my faith, i am only awed at the knowledge that rapture is almost here if all these messages are gaining ground in the world.

Abd-ru-shin the author of Grail message said

The Bandage falls, and belief becomes conviction. Liberation and redemption lie only in conviction!

I am addressing earnest seekers only. They must be able and willing to examine this matter objectively! Religious fanatics and irresponsible enthusiasts may hold aloof, for they are detrimental to the Truth. As for the malevolent and prejudiced, they shall find their sentence in the very words.

The Message will strike only those who still carry within them a spark of truth, and the yearning to be true human beings. To all such it will become the shining light and staff. It will lead them unswervingly out of all the chaos of the present-day confusion.

The following Word does not bring a new religion, but is intended as the torch to help all serious listeners or readers find the right path, which leads them to the longed-for height.

Only he who bestirs himself can advance spiritually. The fool who uses extraneous aids for this, in the form of the ready-made opinions of others, only walks his path as if on crutches, while ignoring his own healthy limbs.

But the moment he boldly uses all the abilities which lie dormant within him awaiting his call, to help in his ascent, he is employing the talent entrusted to him in accordance with his Creator's Will, and will easily overcome all obstacles that seek to divert him.

Therefore awake! Genuine faith lies only in conviction, and conviction comes solely through an inflexible weighing and examining! See that you are truly alive in the wonderful Creation of your God!"

The Grail Message is a special Work, which clearly answers all the unsolved problems of human existence. The vast knowledge mediated in its pages leads the earnestly-seeking reader, who weighs and examines objectively, out of the present-day confusion and distortion, to clear recognitions.

The Grail Message commands attention by its forceful language, by the clarity of its thoughts and by the setting right of distorted concepts, unmistakably and sometimes severely but irrefutably explained.

The laws in which the entire Creation came into being and exists are plainly set forth, the World Happening is interpreted in its true significance, and man's responsibility before God and his fellow man is revealed and explained. Thus to him who opens himself to these recognitions is restored the indestructible inner security of his personality. For the seeking human being, the 168 lectures of this Work deal with all essential questions and spheres of life:

Meaning of soul and spirit
Occultism and spiritualism
Natural Sciences
The World, time and eternity
Knowledge and wisdom
Existence and Creation
Social and economic questions
Religion and church
Family and state
Sex and sexuality
Justice and law
Intuition and intellect

Psychology and cultivation of the spirit

The recognition of God

Whoever bears the desire for it living within him, and is willing to make the effort, will be helped to fulfilment by the work "In the Light of Truth", The Grail Message of Abd-ru-shin.

The Author writes:

“, I wish to fill the gaps which have so far remained unanswered in the souls of men, and which never leave any serious thinker in peace, if he honestly seeks the Truth.”

“With my Message I now open the Book of Creation for you! The Message clearly shows you the Language of God in Creation, which you must learn to understand so that you can make it your own.”

The Author recommends that the lectures of the Grail Message be read in sequence, and not picked out individually, seeking to judge the Work in this way. The knowledge of the Grail Message cannot be grasped by glancing through it.

For historical artifacts associated with the cup of the Last Supper, see Holy Chalice.
According to Christian mythology, the Holy Grail was the dish, plate, or cup used by Jesus at the Last Supper, said to possess miraculous powers. The connection of Joseph of Arimathea with the Grail legend dates from Robert de Boron's Joseph d'Arimathie (late 12th century) in which Joseph receives the Grail from an apparition of Jesus and sends it with his followers to Great Britain; building upon this theme, later writers recounted how Joseph used the Grail to catch Christ's blood while interring him and that in Britain he founded a line of guardians to keep it safe. The quest for the Holy Grail makes up an important segment of the Arthurian cycle,

In the Light of Truth: The Grail Message is the main book written by Oskar Ernst Bernhardt (1875-1941) and first published in 1926 under the pen name Abdruschin. The last edition published by the Author himself was in 1931, entitled simply as In the Light of Truth. It is a collection of 91 lectures, presented to build upon each other, forming a complete picture of Creation.

In the Light of Truth: The Grail Message CHAPTER 34; VOLUME II

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE HOLY GRAIL

MANIFOLD are the interpretations of the legends which exist about the Holy Grail. The most serious scholars and investigators have occupied themselves with this mystery. Much of their work has high moral value, but it all shows one great fault - that they have only built from the earth upwards, while the essential thing, the ray of light from above, which alone could bring animation and enlightenment, is missing.

All who strive from below upwards must come to a halt at the boundary line of the material sphere, even if they are granted to conceive the greatest possible heights! In most cases, however, even under the most favourable conditions, barely half this road can be covered. And how great is the distance from there to the real understanding of the Holy Grail!

This feeling that it is so unattainable finally grows upon the investigators, with the result that they try to regard the Grail purely as the symbolic expression of an idea, so as to give it the high place they rightly feel is its proper due. But in so doing they actually go backwards, not forwards; downwards instead of upwards. They deviate from the right way, which is already indicated to some extent in the legends.

These legends faintly reflect the truth, but only very faintly, because the lofty inspirations and visionary pictures of the poets were pressed into far too material a concept through the intervention of the intellect during the transmission. In their reproductions they portrayed what they received spiritually in pictures conforming to their own worldly surroundings, with the object of making the meaning of the legends more readily understandable to men. In this, however, they failed because they themselves could not arrive at the essence of the truth.

Thus from the very outset the subsequent research and investigation was founded upon an uncertain basis, and any success was bound to be very limited! Therefore it is not surprising that finally only the thought of something purely symbolic remained, and redemption through the Grail was transferred to every man's inmost self.

The existing interpretations are not without great ethical value, but they cannot claim to be an explanation of the legends, much less to approach the truth about the Holy Grail.

Nor is the Holy Grail meant to be the cup which the Son of God used during His last meal with His Disciples at the end of His Ministry on earth, and in which His blood was afterwards caught when He was on the cross! This vessel is a sacred memento of the Son of God's sublime work of redemption, but it is not the Holy Grail of which the poets of the legends were mercifully granted to sing praises. These legends have been misinterpreted by mankind!

They were meant to be promises from the Highest Heights, the fulfilment of which mankind is to await! Had they been interpreted as such, surely another way would have long since been found to take the investigations a little further. As it was, however, all their interpretations had finally to come to a dead stop because a full and complete solution could never be reached; owing to the false conceptions of the past, all the investigations started on a wrong basis from the very beginning!-

No human spirit, even if it has finally attained its greatest perfection and immortality, will ever be able to face the Holy Grail Itself! It is for this reason that, unless a Messenger is sent from there, no detailed tidings about It can ever reach the World of Matter! Thus the Holy Grail will remain a mystery to the human spirit for all eternity!

Man should keep to what he can grasp spiritually and, above all, he should try to fulfil what lies in his power and develop it to its most noble state of perfection! Unfortunately, however, he is always too anxious to reach out far beyond these limits without developing his essential abilities! Thereby he is guilty of a negligence which prevents him even from reaching what he otherwise could, whereas in any case he could never attain the goal of his desires. He thus deprives himself of the most beautiful and sublime part of his true being with the result that he completely fails to fulfil the purpose of his existence!--

Parsifal is. a great promise! The defects and errors which the poets have added to the legends through their too earthly way of thinking distort the true essence of this figure. Parsifal is identical with the Son of Man, Whose coming the Son of God Himself proclaimed.

As a Divine Messenger with His spiritual sight blindfolded, He will have to go through the most bitter hardships on earth, outwardly a man among men.

After a certain time, when His spiritual sight is restored, He will inevitably recognise His origin and therewith Himself, as well as clearly realising His mission. This mission will also bring redemption to those who are seriously seeking, and goes hand in hand with a stern judgment.

For this purpose not just anybody can be chosen, much less can the possible experiences of many people, or even of all the people, be seen in it. On the contrary, it will only be a very definite and special Messenger!

The immutable lawfulness of Divine Will decrees that everything, after it has completed its cycle of development and reached its highest state of perfection, may return to the starting point of its original substance, but never beyond it. Thus also the human spirit! The human spirit originates as a spiritgerm in the Sphere of Spiritual Substantiality, to which it may return as a conscious spirit embodied in a substantiate form if, after its course through the World of Matter, it has achieved its highest state of perfection and attained a living purity.

No spirit belonging to this sphere, however sublime, pure and radiant, can cross the boundary line into the Divine Sphere! The boundary line here, and the impossibility of crossing it, as in the spheres or planes of material Creation, is in the nature of things simply a question of the difference between the species.

The highest and most sublime is God Himself in His Divine Unsubstantiality. Next, and somewhat lower, comes Divine Substantiality. Both are eternal. Adjacent to this, going deeper and deeper, follows the work of Creation which, descending in planes or spheres, becomes denser and denser down to the World of Gross Matter, which is finally visible to mankind.

The ethereal part within the World of Matter is what men call the beyond, thus what lies beyond their earthly or physical capacity to see. Both, however, belong to the Work of Creation and are not eternal with regard to their form, but subject to change for the purpose of renewal and regeneration.

At the summit of the eternal Sphere of Spiritual Substantiality stands the Castle of the Grail, spiritually visible and tangible, because it is still of the same species of spiritual substantiality. This Castle of the Grail contains a Sanctuary which lies on the outermost border adjacent to the Divine Sphere, and is thus of still finer consistency than the rest of spiritual substantiality. In this Sanctuary, as a pledge of the eternal Goodness of God the Father, as a symbol of His Purest Divine Love, and the point from which Divine Power issues, stands the Holy Grail!

This is a chalice in which it bubbles and surges unceasingly like red blood without overflowing. Enveloped as it is in the most Luminous Light, it is granted only to the purest of all spirits in the Realm of Spiritual Substantiality to look into this Light! These are the Guardians of the Holy Grail! If it is said in the legends that the purest of men are destined to become Guardians of the Grail, this is a point about which the blessed poet has drawn all too earthly a picture, because he was unable to express himself differently!

No human spirit can enter this holy Sanctuary! Even in its most perfect state of spiritual substantiality, after having returned from its wanderings through the World of Matter, it is still not so fine that it could cross this threshold, i. e., the boundary line! Even in its highest state of perfection it is still too dense to do so!

A still further etherisation would be equivalent to its complete disintegration or combustion, because the origin of its nature does not lend itself to assuming even greater radiance and luminosity, thus becoming still more etherised. It cannot bear it!

The Guardians of the Grail are Eternal Primordial Spiritual Beings, who never were human beings. They are the highest of all in the Realm of Spiritual Substantiality. However, they are in need of Divine Unsubstantiate Power, are dependent upon It, as all else is dependent on Divine Unsubstantiality, the Source of all Power, God the Father!

From time to time on the Day of the Holy Dove, the Dove appears above the Chalice as a renewed token of the unalterable Divine Love of the Father. It is the hour of communion which brings about the renewal of power. The Guardians of the Grail receive it in humble devotion and can then transmit this magic power.

On this depends the existence of the whole Creation!

It is the moment in which the Love of the Creator radiantly flows forth in the Temple of the Holy Grail, bringing new life and a new urge to create, pulsating downwards and diffusing itself through all the Universe. A trembling and a holy awe, with forebodings of joy and great happiness, vibrate through all the spheres. Only the spirit of earthman still stands aside, without intuitively sensing what is happening particularly to him at that moment; or in what a dull-witted manner he accepts such an immeasurable gift, because the limitations he imposed upon himself through his intellect no longer permit him to grasp such greatness!

It is the moment when a new supply of vital energy is sent out into the entire Creation!

It is the necessary, ever-recurring ratification of the Covenant between the Creator and His Work! Should this supply ever be cut off, should it ever fail to come, inevitably all that exists would slowly dry up, grow old and disintegrate. The end of all days would then come, and only God Himself would remain, as it was in the very beginning, because He alone is Life!

This process is related in the legend. How everything must grow old and decay if the Day of the Holy Dove, the "uncovering" of the Grail, does not recur is even hinted at in the description of the growing old of the Knights of the Grail, during the time in which Amfortas no longer uncovers the Grail till the hour in which Parsifal appears as King of the Grail.

Man should cease to regard the Holy Grail as only something intangible, for It really exists! The human spirit, however, owing to its nature, can never behold It. But the blessing radiating forth from It, which can be and is being passed on by the Guardians of the Grail, can be absorbed and enjoyed by those human spirits who open themselves to it.

In this sense some of the interpretations cannot be called wrong, as long as they do not try to draw the Holy Grail Itself into their explanations. They are correct, and yet again they are also not correct!

The appearance of the Dove on the special Day of the Holy Dove indicates the sending of the Holy Spirit on each occasion, for this Dove stands in very close connection with the Holy Spirit.

But this is something which the human spirit is only able to grasp figuratively, because by the very nature of things, even if he has attained the highest perfection, he can really only think, know and perceive intuitively up to the point from which he himself came, i. e., to the species homogeneous to the purest nature of his origin. This is the eternal Realm of Spiritual Substantiality.

Even in his thoughts he will never be able to cross this boundary! Nor can he ever grasp anything beyond it. This is so self-evident, so logical and simple, that every human being can follow this train of thought!

Whatever goes beyond this boundary will and must, for this reason, remain a perpetual mystery to mankind!

Every man, therefore, who imagines that he bears God within himself or that he is himself Divine, or can become so, lives under a foolish delusion. He bears spirituality within himself, but not Divinity! And therein lies an unbridgeable difference. He is a creature, not part of the Creator, as so many try to make themselves believe. Man is and remains a work and can never become a master!

Thus it is also wrong to say that the human spirit issues from God the Father Himself and returns to Him. The origin of man lies in the Realm of Spiritual Substantiality, not in Divinity Unsubstantiate. Therefore, even if he has attained perfection, he can only return to the Sphere of Spiritual Substantiality. It is right to say that the human spirit originates from the Kingdom of God and therefore can, when it becomes perfect, return to the Kingdom of God, but not to God Himself.

Later there will follow detailed lectures about the individual divisions of Creation, which are totally different in their fundamental nature.

At the summit of each of these planes of Creation stands a Castle of the Grail as the necessary transition and power transmitting stage.

Fashioned according to the nature of the sphere of Creation concerned, this is always a reflection of the real highest Castle of the Grail situated at the summit of the whole of Creation which, through the radiations of Parsifal, constitutes the starting point of the entire Creation.

Amfortas was priest and king in the lowest of these reflections of the Grail Castle, standing at the summit of the sphere of the human spirits who have developed from spirit-germs. It is the one closest to man on earth.

@ PILGRIM 1
thank you so much for the word of God which you have clearly demonstrated in your replies. indeed i might not have made any particular sense of what the Grail message adherent were saying if i HAD NOT READ YOU REPLY FIRST. ie i read their stuff then read their reply then read yours again . thank you for sticking to the word of God
.

@takeastand,

Well, I give God the glory if my posts were of some help to encourage you. He is indeed worthy of all our praises - and He alone is the One we look unto.

I deliberately stayed away from this thread even though there are so many things that simply don't square. My prayer is that God will open the eyes of other readers to see issues plainly for themselves - and that He should raise up many more Godly Christians far more intelligent than me to help encourage others.

Many blessings. smiley

Followers of any religion are so convinced of the truth of their own belief. That is why arguments or even discussion on religious convictions in most cases serve no useful purpose. My opinion is that any person interested in the Grail Message should study it. If he finds nothing, he should drop it, it is not meant for him at that point in time. If however he intutively senses that certain things are not clear, then he can raise those points one to one with people who have experienced the Grail Message as the truth. Exchanges on internet pages is not the way to go about it.

As a responsibility I am sure people that knew nothing about the Grail will know with non- compromising posting. It is not a secret society, I am therefore not ashamed to tell anybody who cares about the grail message.
I was more than pilgrim 1 in behaviour since I thought the Bible was all when I had about the message at the polytechnic.
I actually purchase the BOOK to know how to criticize the message. Since it is not church or religion it is the address to individual. Proficiency of intellectual knowledge not withstanding.
What these people who seems to be touched of affected by the GRAIL messsage are displaying is just RENUNCIATION. The act of rejecting or renouncing something as invalid is part of DOGMATA,which must not be questioned true or not truth no questioning.A doctrine or a set of doctrines relating to matters such as morality and faith, set forth in an authoritative manner by a church.
An authoritative principle, belief, or statement of opinion, especially one considered to be absolutely true. When it is even a lie.

All showing the Level of weakness in them which enlightenment will renew. I need not to worry about critics but say the truth that is all.

Do you mind leaving pilgrim.1 out of your 'testimony', please? We're definitely not on the same page; and that's why I've stayed away from another argument in this thread - since no one has been able to offer sound answers to just one simple question I tendered.

Thanks for your understanding. smiley

I just stumble into 'nairaland' yesterday only to find the Grail message discussed. For me there is nothing bad about and objective discussion, a sincere willingness to know what is it and why some prople chose to adhere to its teachings, why it contradicts and refused to agree with religious dogmas. It wont be interesting to continue if people should begin to insult, argue or undermine the others' convictions. Grail message has changed me and I'll ever remain thankful to the Almighty God for this rare opportunity. smiley
