Stop being naive or acting naive to whip up emotional acceptance.
Nobody is against sit at home, the real issue is intimidation of those in those regions it is being observed, by hardliners, especially if you are Igbo and you are not cooperating, some people have already started saying they will use that day to know the sabos, most people will not open their shops because of fear, most people will not send their kids to school because of fear.
Once again, anybody is free to sit at home, but how do you think police is going to effectively monitor miscreants who will use this opportunity to be a law unto themselves and others for noncompliance.

Once again stop acting Naive, and forget all this online gibberish of peaceful group.
Up north people are not sending their kids to school because of fear..they can't go to church because of fear so the should go and fight those ones first.

Did you read the part where it says people should disregard the other to sit at home?Does it not sound like a Joke?
Over 75% of the people who obey these sit at home orders dont necessarily do so out of solidarity; rather they obey the orders out of fear of being harrassed by miscreants if they go out..

By asking people to "disrgard the sit at home" order, the police is simply saying people should not be scared of going about their normal businesses. How is that statement a joke?

How do you arrest someone that decides to sit at home? Naija police!!!! cheesy they néed a solution bah? Help them extend the sit at home for 2 weeks minimum, all food markets should be closed for 1 month, all schools indefinite holidays, nepa should not give them power so if heat descends on them no fan to blow it away, and no news to listen too, all hospitals the same, petrol stations should be shut for 1 month also, and if they must go out they must lift their hands in the air - when hunger wants to remove their eyes - the next time, they tell them they would club the person to death- Sebi them no wan get sense bah?
that is even what we want, it will bring the agitation more closer thereby adding more feather to it. Have you noticed that Any action the government takes Is always a + for ipob?

sabos?
wtf r u saying?

since when has ipob intimidated anyone to stay at home ? or when has it become by force?

u just making forced arguments to support ur stupid lifeless beliefs
In places like Aba, miscreants forcefully enforce these ipob orders. During sit at home orders, they harass traders who dont comply; this isnt even a new trend, it's been been happening as far back as the days of massob even before ipob was formed. If you aren't aware of this, you should go and find out instead of insulting people out of ignorance.

are these "miscreants" ipob?

like u said they existed even b4 ipob

if miscreants are causing trouble then the police should go after this miscreants and stop harassing ipob
or threatening to arrest ... who?
ipob or the people that stay at home ?
I'm not even sure anymore

IPOB gives a sit at home order,, miscreants go into markets harassing traders who dont comply with the order, but here you are, asking me if these miscreants/enforcers are IPOb members?... No they are fulani herdsmen.

Meanwhile, the message by the police did not say they were going to arrest anyone sitting at home; the message is obviously directed at the miscreants who would typically be out on the streets harrassing innocent law abiding citizens. It's a recurring trend which predates even ipob.

akelicious:
The Police Command in Imo State has vowed to arrest anybody breaking the law in compliance with the sit-at-home ordered by the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra on Friday.....
The original report above clearly indicates that the warning is targeted at criminals bent on breaking the law. But obviously because of hatred for government, majority of people on this thread seems to have lost basic comprehension skills and are now in solidarity with the miscreants.

How low can you go in loving oppression?

Stop misinforming people my friend. You think it's everyone that buys into this "IPOB is a peaceful group" nonsense you guys portray online? IPOB deploys coarsion & intimidation to enforce compliance with most of their directives especially this site at home. Do you know how many people that complied not bcoz they are sympathetic to IPOB & what they represent but for fear of the unknown especially from hoodlums? Do you know how many shops that where vandalized bcoz of this last year in Obigbo, Rivers State? Do you know how many market leaders, who are IPOB or pro Biafra, that used their powers to order closure of their respective markets without recourse to the rights of others who are not pro Biafra?

Police is not against you or anyone sitting at home but surely they are battle ready for your fanatics who would use such opportunity to ferment trouble.

That's the issue, Bro. Past experience has shown that without police on alert, these miscreants constitute nuisance to the rest of the populace. Most of them, who are hoodlums, cash in on this to perpetrate all manner of evil especially looting & vandalizing non compliant people's properties

I still maintain that IPOB is not as peaceful as they claim online. They're the most intolerant group ever. Just disagree with their modus operandi & see how they come for you, albeit ignorantly.

The few enlightened ones are never aware of what the ignorant & uneducated ones amongst them are capable of. Their fanatism is top notch.

So, speak for yourself bro!

It's been happening in Onitsha as well since the time of massob as well.
Cars, shops etc were vandalized in Awada in 2016 sit at home even when the cars were just parked and shops closed.
Last year, same happened in Nkpor and Obosi areas as well.
